CHAPTER SIXTY-ONE: Duck Song
Allison looked confused as her face scrunched together. "What can he do that we couldn't?" She asked suspiciously, eyeing the newcomer wearily.
Loki wiggled his brows at the disbelieving couple before pulling the sucker from his mouth with a 'pop'. "I got a whole lot more up my sleeve than you chuckleheads." He stated cockily before turning back towards the door and opening it. "What are you waiting for? Come on in!"
John was just about to ask who he was talking to when the answer he was looking for walked in wearing his signature black suit.
"I would say it's lovely to see you all but…"
"What the hell is Crowley doing here?" John spat, growing more impatient as the seconds passed.
The trickster seemed unfazed as he rolled his eyes. "Well, since I couldn't rely on you guys to get the four horseman's rings, I had to enlist some help. The former King of Hell here-"
"And soon to be King once again!"
"Was available and hates little Luci just as much as we do." Loki finished, holding up the aforementioned rings. "So, why don't you gather up your group and let's go cage ourselves a self-righteous angel?"
Fortunately, the gathering didn't take very long since five seconds later, Ellen, Bobby, Jo and Castiel appeared in the Bunker.
Loki's face immediately fell as he saw Cas, unaware that he would be here.
"Gabriel? What are you doing here?"
"Wait, Gabriel? Cas, this is Loki. He's a trickster." John explained, not understanding his confusion.
Castiel shook his head. "This is no trickster. This is my brother, the Archangel Gabriel."
"Surprise!" Gabe said loudly, spreading out his arms in a 'Ta Da!' stance. The group all seemed unamused at his deceit, so the archangel quickly switched gears. "Come on, let's go stop the world from ending."
…
Sam was enjoying himself.
He knew he shouldn't be, he was possessed by the Devil for God's sake, but he was actually having a good time.
Lately things had been so messy in his life. Hell, the past two years had been downright chaotic. He was relieved to finally have a break.
He was sitting at the dinner table at the house he had spent the first four years of his life in, the one place that truly felt like home, and he was surrounded by family.
Although, this wasn't a past memory he was reliving like the last one. He knew that because instead of it just being him, Dean and Mary, there was John, Ellen, Bobby, Jo and even Castiel at the table with them.
He had to admit, it was really nice. Sam loved the aspect of family, of always being surrounded by loved ones. Even though he was almost always with Dean, they never had the actual feeling of family.
Sam tried to focus on the fact he was just trapped in his own mind and Lucifer had control over his body, he really did.
But at the moment, he couldn't bring himself to care.
…...
Lucifer was first to arrive. He wanted to take the first few moments to take in everything, to mentally prepare himself to kill his brother.
He thought he'd be ready; that after he had been left to rot in that godforsaken cage all those years that he wouldn't be able to wait to kill one of Daddy's most precious children.
Instead, he wanted to beg Michael to lay down his weapons, to agree to a truce. That's all he wanted, was forgiveness and the chance to get revenge on the one who truly wronged him.
When Michael showed up at exactly noon, standing across from him at Stall Cemetery, Lucifer took a chance.
"Brother, it is good to see you."
"I wish I could say the same, Lucifer. It's been a long time." Michael spoke, crossing his arms.
Lucifer smirked slightly at his brother's remark. "Are you sure you still want to do this? Our Father isn't here, Michael. We don't have to do this. We can walk away."
Michael looked disgusted and ashamed. "It's not about the matter of wanting to or not. It's written, therefore we must do it. It's just like you to want to disobey Father."
Lucifer clenched his fists, trying to remain calm. "You know that what God casted me down for was wrong. I didn't deserve it. Just like he wasn't right back then, he's wrong about this too. Brothers shouldn't fight."
"That maybe so, but we are." Michael stated with finality, letting his arms fall to his sides ready to get this Apocalypse started.
"Hey! Assbutt!"
Lucifer turned just in time to see Castiel throw something at him.
Michael watched as his brother went up in flames before turning a fury filled glare to the pair that just joined them.
"Assbutt?" John repeated incredulously at the angel who shrugged sheepishly beside him before Michael began to speak.
"Castiel? Did you just Molotov my brother with holy fire?"
Cas swallowed and forced a smile. "No?"
Micheal smiled cruelly before snapping his fingers.
Jo and Bobby ran out from behind a tree just in time to watch Castiel explode in a rain of blood and chunks.
After staring in horror at the stop Cas was just standing at, John returned his attention to his son. "Dean, can you hear me?" He asked, clearly still shaken.
"You know, I really regret not killing you." Michael took a step forward and grabbed a hold of John before tossing him into a tree, the oldest Winchester's back making impact with a loud crack.
A shot rang out right before Bobby lowered his smoking gun.
Clearly done messing around and unfazed by the bullet lodged in his shoulder, Michael turned his hand and just like that, Bobby's neck snapped with a twist.
Jo screamed and ran over to the old hunter's body as the archangel approached John Winchester.
"Now, where were we? Oh, that's right. I was going to kill you and make your son watch."
John couldn't even bring up his arm to defend himself before Michael began landing blow after blow to his face.
"Dean! You need to stop him!" Jo yelled, hoping to get through to him.
Unknowingly to Jo and John, Dean was trying to do just that. Inside his mind, he was screaming and yanking at his restraints, trying to regain control before it was too late.
He had to watch, completely defenseless, as Michael killed Cas.
He had to watch as Michael killed Bobby.
Now Michael was going to make him watch as he killed John.
"Any last words you want to have your son hear?" Michael asked vehemently, his fist raised for one last punch.
"Dean, I forgive you. Don't blame yourself, alright? Your mom and I love you." John breathed as tears welled up in his eyes, wishing that he wasn't failing his son.
Michael's eyes widened as he couldn't move his hand, as all of a sudden his rock tight grip he had on Dean Winchester slipped away.
John slumped to the bottom of the tree as Michael's grip unexpectedly disappeared.
It was the difference between day and night as John looked at the person in front of him.
"Dad?"
"Dean, take these." John painfully took out the four Horseman's rings from his pocket as well as a slip of paper and handed it over to his son. "Say that spell, and a door will open to the cage."
Dean nodded, trying to put on a brave face. "It's gonna be okay, Dad. I promise."
"Would you mind giving my brother back the microphone?" Lucifer spat as he appeared standing a few feet from the pair.
Instead of responding, Dean dropped the rings on the ground and spoke the spell that would save them all.
"Don't you dare, you pathetic child. My brother and I need to have this fight, Dean. It's our destiny." Lucifer sneered, his outlook on the fight clearly changed.
Dean glanced back at his father as a giant hole started crumpling open on the ground, air getting sucked into it making it hard for him to keep his balance.
Dean just gave his father one last look.
But in that one look, it said everything that Dean never would get the chance to say.
Just as Dean was about to jump in, he looked over at his baby brother and knew he couldn't let him be up here and possessed.
"I'm sorry, Sammy."
Dean lunged forward, grabbed Lucifer by his shirt and threw them both down the hole that would send them to the cage.
"No!"
…...
Red hot tendrils of fire lapped at the brother's legs, causing the pair to scream in unison as echoes of laughter reverberated off the cage walls.
…
Jo was staring blankly out across the cemetery, Bobby's body still warm.
John hadn't gotten up yet. He was still kneeling on the ground, the rings being white knuckled by his hands as he stared hopelessly at the ground where his boys had just disappeared through.
The two just sat there, the silence almost unbearable as they both tried to think of what to say.
John was the first to notice as someone approached him and placed their hand on his shoulder.
"Castiel?"
Sure enough, Castiel was staring down at the broken father, the angel's brows scrunched together before he placed two fingers to John's head.
John, now healed, watched as Castiel walked over to Bobby and placed his hand on his face. He could physically hear his old friend's neck going back in place before he sat up abruptly gasping for air.
John stood up slowly as he stared at Cas in disbelief. "Are you God?"
The edge of Castiel's lips curled up as he looked at the hunter. "No, but I do believe it was him who brought me back."
"Cas?"
The angel looked over at the blonde who was still sitting on the ground, all signs of hope drained from her face. "Can you bring them back?" Jo asked softly, fearing she already knew the answer.
Castiel just simply shook his head, knowing he had one more person to go break the bad news to.
…
Mary was sitting in Heaven's Prison, waiting for an angel to come kill her or for Michael to come back and gloat.
What she didn't expect was for a short haired brunette angel to come and unlock her cell door.
"My name's Hannah. I'm so sorry Mrs. Winchester." She apologized sincerely as she led Mary out of the cell and out to the hallway.
At first, Mary wasn't exactly sure what she was sorry for, but as soon as she saw Castiel standing at the end of the hall, looking lost and abandoned, she knew.
Her boys were gone.

Guys, I cannot express enough how sorry I am for such a long wait for this chapter. But, rather than give you all a bunch of excuses I'm sure you don't care about, I'm just going to hope you enjoyed the chapter. This is the last official chapter of Hell, Born and Raised. I'm going to do an epilogue but this is it guys. Holy shit. Huge, huge, huge, thanks to every single one of you for reading and reviewing and sticking with me for this story that has almost taken me embarrassingly two years to write. But, don't worry. I already have half of a new story written and I don't plan on publishing the first chapter until it's completely finished so I can do scheduled updates so I don't constantly leave people hanging. In case you guys like my writing enough to read another one by me, it's going to be titled 'The Stranger.'
Anywho, I need to wrap this up. Please leave a review for me. That'd make my day. My week actually. I hope you liked it. Sorry for the sad ending. Thanks buttercups, lots of love.
