Kuwabara groaned, letting his head fall to the table. "Why does school have to assign so much homework? No one wants to do homework over summer break!"
"Well, it probably wouldn't feel like nearly so much homework if you didn't wait until the week before school starts to do it," Shizuru said from the kitchen where she was fixing supper.
Kuwabara raised his head just enough to glare at her, but she wasn't paying that much attention to him. "Easy for you to say. You don't have homework anymore."
"But when I did have homework I was smart about how I did it," Shizuru said.
Kuwabara made a face at her back. "Maybe I can meet up with the guys after dinner, and we can work on homework together."
Shizuru finally turned her head to look at him, one eyebrow raised. "You really think you're going to get any work done at all if you're with your friends?"
"…I hate homework."
