"If you wanted me to take my shirt off, you could've just asked.'

Brittany waited patiently in the lobby, mindlessly flipping through an outdated Natural Geographic magazine with the buzz of news channels heard overhead. She sucked in a deep breath as the pain at her side throbbed.

"Don't be bleeding out all over my new chair, Brittany!"

The blonde looked up to see the receptionist, Ms. Jones, pointing a deadly finger at her over the counter. She would be a little embarrassed that everyone knew her name by heart at the clinic, she did visit quite frequently but then again they do have her medical records too so maybe that's why they all knew?

"I won't!" Brittany smiled, patting the homemade bandage at her side, regretting it instantly as the wound throbbed.

"Okay." Ms. Jones nodded, "Shouldn't be much longer now."

For the most part, she hated having to go to the town's only emergency clinic but having to see the resident, Dr. Lopez, made things a little less unbearable.

Dr. Santana Lopez had to be around Brittany's age, so being that she owned her own clinic was a pretty awesome achievement. She was smart, kind, and effortlessly beautiful. She and Brittany had an interesting relationship ever since Brittany first showed up with a fishing hook poking out of her shoulder blade. They were clearly attracted to each other, but nothing ever came of it so they were reduced to the endless flirting and playful banter. Since then, Brittany would occasionally show up with a new injury and Dr. Lopez would always be more than wiling to patch her up.

Today was no different as the nurse led the way to Brittany's usual room. She sat down atop the paper lined bed and waited for Dr. Lopez to arrive.

"Hello Ms. Pierce," Santana greeted with smile as she entered the room.

"Hey Doc." Brittany responded with a smile, already feeling her heart race at the woman's presence, "Busy day?

"Not really, no. Pretty boring actually." She pushed her reading glasses up the bridge of her nose, Brittany loved when she did that, and went to sanitize her hands.

Brittany watched the way Santana's soft curls swayed with her movements.

Santana peeked over her shoulder, not surprised to see Brittany staring, "Didn't I just see you last week?"

Brittany chuckled, admiring how good she looked in scrubs and a lab coat,"You know I can't last long without seeing your pretty face."

"Uh huh." Santana smirked, drying her hands. She picked up the clipboard the nurse left behind and read through, looking up at Brittany with a quirked brow once finishing, "A speargun, really?"

Brittany just shrugged, "I got in a little disagreement with a poacher, the spear barely grazed me."

"What the hell?" Santana was unamused as she sat on her stool and rolled towards Brittany. She shook her head at her recklessness, "You worry me, Pierce."

Brittany tilted her head and grinned, "What can I say? I'm passionate about marine conservation."

"Its dangerous work, that's for sure." Santana replied scribbling down a few more notes on the clipboard before setting it aside and put on latex gloves, "Alright, let's see what I'm working with today."

Brittany rolled onto her left thigh and slowly pulled up her shirt, revealing a bandage covered a span of three inches. Santana peeled a corner of the bandage up causing Brittany to wince.

"Sorry." Santana said as she continued to remove the bandage gingerly. The cut was deep but looked relatively clean, "Good job on cleaning it, doesn't looked infected."

"Awesome." Brittany beamed, trying to tough it through the pain, "So you gonna slap on one of those cool bandages with the ointment and I can be on my way?"

Santana looked up and smirked, "You're not getting off that easy, Pierce."

Brittany pouted.

"It's clean but deep," Santana told her as she spun to dispose of her gloves and the old bandage. She dug through her drawers for a kit and returned to Brittany's bedside, "You're getting your favorite. Stitches!"

"Oh, come on Doc!" Britt grumbled, "It's not that bad."

"Hey, shouldn't have picked a fight with a speargun." Santana replied simply, prepping her station, then turning back to Brittany, 'You're getting stitches whether you like it or not."

"Don't you need my consent or something?"

Santana sighed, "Why do you have to be so stufbborn? I know what you need so let me do it."

Brittany gulped at the possibilities not involving medical treatment.

Santana noticed this and chuckled, "Always in the gutter." She moved to put on a new pair of gloves and nodded to Brittany's top, "Your shirt is going to get in the way."

Brittany smirked, leaning in close to flutter her lashes, "If you wanted me to take my top off, you should've just asked."

Santana rolled her eyes at the flirtatious tone and couldn't help but smile up at the blonde. She really was infuriating sometimes. Infuriatingly gorgeous. But she knew the tactic all too well.

"Shirt. Off." Santana instructed with little room for argument, trying hard to keep from staring as Brittany whipped off her tank top to reveal a bright blue bikini top and toned abs.

Brittany rested back on her hands and smirked at seeing Santana visibly distracted, "Like what you see?"

Santana blushed and jolted to focus, "Can you lie back for me?"

"I'm not usually a bottom but I guess I can make an exception." Brittany teased, continuing to push Santana's buttons.

"You're trouble, Pierce." Santana smirked, rolling her eyes at Brittany's wink. Santana went on to stitch Brittany up, movements careful and precise. Brittany knew Santana was amazing at her job, so she respected her enough to keep quiet as she worked, at least until the last stitch was done.

"Alright, all done." Santana sighed, sitting up straight and removing her gloves, "Let's stay away from sharp objects and poachers for awhile, shall we?"

Brittany slipped into her tank top and gave the woman another wink, "I won't make any promises."

Santana just shook her head and smiled as Brittany hopped down from the bed.

She closed the distance and placed a soft kiss to Santana's cheek, "Thanks for the stitches, Doc. See you around."

With that, Brittany made her way to reception knowing it was only a matter of time until she was back again with something knew for Santana to fix and she couldn't wait.
