SCREAMING GOATS AND FAKE SNAKES

This takes after Gilligan and the Professor meet up with Brock and Diamond

SEPTEMBER 9, 1964

A piercing scream filled the air causing Gilligan and the Professor to nearly drop their baskets.

"Hello!" Gilligan called out nervously fumbling for his machete as another scream filled the air.

"Who goes there?" The Professor called out raising his machete just as a small grey goat with a black face and long horns came into view.

As they watched the goat gave out another piercing scream and four baby goats hopped out of the bushes. The baby goats bleated and hopped over to Gilligan and the Professor. Gilligan kneeled down and patted them. After a few minutes the mother goat bleated and walked into the bushes and hopped up onto the rocks with her kids following. Then with amazing stealth they continued up the rocky cliff joining dozens of other goats.

"So long Millie!" Gilligan called after them. "Bye Billie, Bobbie, Becky, and Bucky!"

The Professor just shook his head as they headed back to camp.

"Awwwe they must've been so cute!" Mary Ann replied as she and Gilligan mashed the berries for the paint. "I hope I get to see them!"

"Oh you'll get to we saw a ton of them climbing the mountain!" Gilligan replied. "The little kids hopped around like little bunnies!"

Mary Ann giggled as she reached down to reach for more berries but then gasped.

"Oh my gosh it's a snake!" She exclaimed as the Professor and Skipper rushed over just as Gilligan was picking it up.

"I didn't know there were snakes here!" The Skipper replied.

"Be careful Gilligan it might be poisonous!" The Professor replied.

"This isn't a snake it's a leg less lizard." Gilligan replied as he held the grey-brown lizard up.

"Huh?" Everyone asked.

"Yeah look!" Gilligan replied as everyone gathered around him. "She's blinking her eyes and has little ears. And her tongue is thicker and notched in the middle."

"Uh yes I think I read about them once!" The Professor replied as Gilligan put the lizard back on the ground near a bush.

"Oops!" Gilligan replied as her straightened up.

"What happened?" The Skipper asked.

"I accidentally broke off Slinky's tail!" Gilligan replied holding up the lizard's old tail.

A/N: With over 300 distinct breeds the goat is one of the oldest domesticated species. Their milk, meat, hair, and skins is used almost everywhere. Their babies are called kids. Their slit-shaped pupils allow them to see almost 320 degrees around their heads with almost no blind spots.

The Leg less Lizard or slow worm resemble snakes but are classified as lizards because they gradually lost their limb during evolution. They have eyelids, ear openings, and a notched tongue. Their movements are stiffer than the snake and are slow moving. As a defense mechanism they shed their tails and regrow them. They are found in Europe and Asia.
