BLOBBY VINEGAR
This takes place during the first season episode 'Water, Water Everywhere'
"Gilligan I can assure you that your frog is not in my throat!" The Skipper replied spitting out water and squinting to look at Gilligan through what little light that was in the underground spring they had fallen in.
"Oooh I think I found him!" Gilligan replied as he lifted something up out of the water.
It wasn't Gilligan's frog. It looked like either a foot long flesh colored tadpole or a fish. As they watched it seemed to deflate and become a puffy wrinkly jelly-like blob with a big nose, and beady black eyes. It looked like it was frowning and had drool coming from its mouth.
"Ugh, what is that?" The Skipper asked as the creature began dripping.
"I don't know but doesn't it look like Mr. Howell?" Gilligan asked chuckling.
"Eh yeah I guess it kind of does!" The Skipper replied chuckling. "Now put it back it might be dangerous!"
"Okay!" Gilligan replied sadly as he put the creature back into the dark water. "See you later Blobby!"
Skipper sighed and rolled his eyes.
This one take place after the episode 'Up At Bat' after Gilligan helps Mrs. Howell with the bat in her hair.
JUNE 12,1966
Gilligan and the Howells had just returned Sparky the baby bat to his mother Twinkle when Gilligan spotted something.
"Hey look a Vinegaroon!" Gilligan replied pointing to something on the ground.
"Gilligan my boy I may not know much about animals but I can tell you that there is no such thing!" Mr. Howell replied as he spotted what Gilligan was pointing to. "And that looks like a scorpion!"
"No Mr. Howell!" Gilligan replied as a mongoose approached. "That's not a stinger that's kind of like a whip which they use to spray stuff that smells like vinegar when something bothers them!"
No sooner were the words out his mouth that the smell of vinegar permeated the air and the mongoose was running out of the cave.
"My goodness!" Mrs. Howell replied as they hurried out of the cave.
"That was neat wasn't it?" Gilligan replied as they exited the cave.
Mr. Howell rolled his eyes as Mrs. Howell pulled a fan from her pocket and began waving it.
A/N: Not much is known about the Blobfish. They live off Australia's deep waters at a depth of nearly 4,000 feet where the pressure is up to 120 times greater than the sea level. Because of this scientists think they can't maintain their buoyancy so they float just above the ocean floor.
Scientists think they will be endangered soon because they often get caught in the nets during deep sea fishing. Once they reach the surface they become a gelatinous mass and don't live for long.
The Vinegaroon is also known as a Whip Scorpion. It is a type of arachnid and instead of a tail and a venomous stinger like the true scorpion they have a whip-like tail which produces an acidic liquid that smells like vinegar when provoked.
