THAT'S NO LADY
July 2, 1955
One of the donors to the hospital Finley went to for her treatments was throwing a charity gala at their mansion in Newport, Rhode Island. Dr. and Mrs. Flanagan and Finley were invited and were allowed to bring guests so they were able to bring the Gilligan's along.
A few hours after arriving Ellen and Patrick were looking for their sons and the Flanagan's when they entered the large sitting room by the front entrance. They spotted Dr. and Mrs. Flanagan talking to the donors, The Howells, by the fireplace along with Mr. Howell's brother and his girlfriend. Finley was standing next to her mother and staring at the couch in front of the fireplace with a look of disgust on her face.
Ellen looked over at the couch where she saw a woman with long blonde hair. She saw her son Daniel sitting next to her smiling and stroking her hair and Will was sitting on the arm of the couch and had a fistful of hair in his hand and was moving it up and down.
"Really Patrick I thought you taught them better than that!" Ellen replied as they walked over to the couch.
"Daniel, William leave that woman alone!" Ellen whispered as Will dropped the hair and looked confused.
"This isn't a lady Mom this is Maurice!" Will replied as Maurice turned to look at her.
Maurice had a long white face with black lips and black nose. Now that Will had put Maurice's leg down Ellen noticed that his cream colored fur was so long that she couldn't tell where his ears and legs were. Ellen smiled as he rolled his tongue out the side of his mouth and raised his paw.
"It's nice to meet you too Maurice!" Ellen replied as she shook his paw.
A/N: The breed of dog I described is called the Afghan Hound. It looks like a greyhound with long thick silky fur and has a ring curl at the end of it's tail. It originated in the cold Afghanistan mountains. They come in a variety of colors.
