Dabbling in Drabbles of the FMA Variety

By Suzi a.k.a. KatsyKat

28. Sorrow [done Ed-centric, past reflections]

Ed could remember the exact moment that his father was downgraded from dad to 'that bastard'.

He found his mother staring wistfully at the horizon. Although she wasn't crying her face was grief stricken, reflecting longing and sadness equally.

To break the mood, he rattled off some long forgotten smart assed comment about his pathetically absent father.

The disappointed face seemed less directed at the deserving elder and more directed at the innocent younger for pointing it out. She stared at him as if in sorrow for not understanding. Ed did not like the way it made his insides squirm.

A/N: A very special thanks to sueb262 for leaving me some thoughtful reviews and reminding me that this collection of drabbles still exists… and is still unfinished. :D
