29. Eyes [MAJOR MANGA/BROTHERHOOD SPOILERS – you've been warned]
Riza would never forget the day Roy Mustang lost his eyes to the gate.
Although some would argue it impossible to forget the horrific "Promised Day" as it was, her memory had more to do with the fortitude of her commanding officer.
Lesser men would have given up fighting after the loss of their sight; and Hawkeye had prepared herself for the blow of seeing her solid anchor understandably adrift.
Instead, Roy asked if she could fight; and Riza found the only difference in his determined expression was the white milky corneas in place of his usually sharp onyx orbs.
