"No, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy," Hermione replied quietly.

"Use the books as you see fit. Trust me, you will need all the information in those journals."

Hermione sat back resting in an oversized chair in her room as the sunset light began to disappear from her window. Flipping over the pages of the journals reading her ancestors work.

Removing the heart, tear the vampire in pieces burning the pieces in separate areas. So none of the body parts are able to reattach to one another.

Hermione sighs throwing the book down on the table; running her hands over her face, she heard someone clear their throat. Lifting her gas Hermione found Severus standing before her.

"What?" Hermione asked leveling him with a glare.

"I believe I owe you an apology," Severus spoke softly not taking his black eyes off of her. Even as he stood tall before her, she could still see the guilt in his eyes.

"Really?" Hermione growled standing from her chair. "What gave you that idea, Severus?"

"Do you want the apology or not?" Severus replied raising a brow, as annoyance sounded in his voice.

"Talk." She replied.

"I'm sorry." Severus sighed walking over to her. Hermione made no move as he come closer. "I would intentionally hurt you. I just don't want to watch you fall apart again, not over him."

"I know." Hermione sighed looking up to him. "I know you're just protecting me, and I love you for that. You have to know, my heart isn't as open as I used to have it."

"I won't say anything but ," Severus said "I won't hesitate to kill him."

"I know. I wouldn't expect anything less from, Severus."

"Guard you heart, Hermione," Severus spoke leaning forward placing a kiss on her head. "It's your weak spot."

"What would I do without you?"

"It would be terribly dull."

"Indeed, it would be." Hermione smiled.

"Hermione, I have wanted to ask you. The night of the last order meeting here. What happened with the elders after you left the room that night?"

Hermione pulled away from him, "For now Severus, That needs to remain a secret between the Elders and I. It's better for everyone that way; safer even."

"I won't ask any more of you," Severus said.

Hermione nodded in response walking back over to the journals. "Would you like to help me with these journals?"

"Yes, Let's move this to the library, though," Severus spoke grabbing the journals placing them in his hands.

Sirius walked through the door of Grimmauld Place walking quietly through the house, making his way upstairs. Going up the stair, Sirius encounter no one; entering his room He closed the door. Instantly removing his shirt throwing it on the bed. He walked in the bathroom turning on the taps, letting them fill his tub. Unbuckling his pants, he kicked his shoes off, letting his pants hit the floor.

Gently sliding down into the hot water, he let his head lay back on the edge of the tub, closing his eyes as the heat soothed his aching muscles.

Soon he had fallen asleep in the warm water, dreams took over but for him; they were a nightmare.

*************************************************************************************Looking around Sirius found himself standing in the main hall of Malfoy manor. Looking around Sirius saw a small girl with Curly black hair running through the hall. Her curls flying behind her as she ran.

"Daddy." The girl yelled, running straight into a man's arms. Sirius's eyes shifted looking to the man standing there; he found, Severus Snape looking at him. "Whose that man, Daddy?" The small girl turned looking at Sirius. She was a female replica of him except the features of her mother; the Malfoy family features.

"Him? He is no one." Severus spoke with a smirk.

"No," Sirius whispered pointing to himself. "I'm your father."

"No, you're not," The small girl sneered, just like the man holding her. "He has been here for me, not you. You hurt my mummy. I could never be your daughter."

"See, Black, you have to be in a child's life to actually be a father." Severus sneered, as the little girl hugged his neck tightly.

"Father? Are we just letting anyone in the house now?" A boy asked appearing beside Snape, with jet black hair and eyes black as night. There was no doubt in Sirius mind that it was Severus Snape's son.

"Now, son, that's not polite," Hermione spoke drawing, Sirius's attention to her. Sirius looked her over, seeing a flush to her pale skin, her eyes were a beautiful gray as if nothing had happened to her. Her Platinum blonde hair shined brightly in the light as a she looked over at Sirius. She shifted closer to Severus.

"What's going on?" Sirius asked looking on in confusion. "You were attacked by a vampire, you were turned."

"Vampires? Sirius, you must be mistaken. I was never attacked. You told me to leave that night and I did; I never contacted you. Even after I had your daughter. I married Severus, He became the father of your daughter." Hermione spoke place her hand on Severus's chest. Her diamond ring shimmered on her hand.

"She is my wife, Black," Severus smirked placing a kiss on Hermione's lips.

"No," Sirius said backing up.

"Yes, Sirius. I had his son and now we have a daughter on the way." Hermione spoke placing a hand on the small swell of her stomach. "You gave me and your daughter up. You lost us." Hermione said as her voice slowed fading away along with the family she had.

"No," Sirius screamed. "Come back. I was wrong, I shouldn't have let you go. Hermione, Please come back."

"Sirius?" Jumping he turned around staring right into Hermione's former whiskey brown eyes. Her bushy long brown hair laid braided over her shoulder. She stood dressed in her former normal muggle clothing smiling at him. "You don't have to scream, love, I'm right here."

"Hermione?" Sirius asked squinting at her in confusion. "What's happening? What was that?" He pointed to the blackness behind him.

"You're seeing you worst nightmares before you," Hermione explained walking closer to him. Her frowned as she continued to speak. "But that was also her possible future."

"You're saying she would have married him?" Sirius spoke almost crying. "Was that my daughter? Really my daughter, not just a-."

"Yes, Sirius." Hermione frowned sadly at the pain in the wizard's voice. "Yes, had she not been attacked that night. She would have given him her heart in time, slowly but in time. That would have been her future."

"My daughter?" Sirius asked as tears started rolling from his eyes.

"She would have called him father, not you." The figure of Hermione spoke bluntly, not sparing his feelings. "You wouldn't have known about her until she entered Hogwarts."

"What would have happened if I hadn't made her leave?" Sirius asked.

The woman frowned at him again, "Since you must ask. You would have been married and happy with her and your daughter, possibly more children. That's not an option now."

"What will happen now?"

Hermione smiled sadly at him. "I can't tell you that, Sirius. You shall find out for yourself." She placed her hand on the side of Sirius's face looking in his eyes. "Accept the future. Accept her. The events meant to happen, will happen as they are supposed to."

Sirius placed his hands on the sides of her face before kissing her passionately before pulling back and looking into her eyes. "I love you."

"You do love her," Hermione said to him. "But now it's time to wake up." Placing a kiss on his check, he felt himself ripped from the dream world leaving Hermione there.

Sirius's eye snapped open causing him to jump as the cold water from his bath splashed out on the floor. Running his hands in hair, he sighed grabbing his wand from his pants; warming his water once again. Sliding under the water, he quickly washed his hair and bathed getting out of the tub wrapping a towel around his waist walking into his bedroom. Flicking his wand the fireplace roared to life, beginning to warm the room. Sitting on the bed, he watched the flames dance, as the memories of the dream played in his mind. Seeing Hermione married Snape, was a true nightmare in his eyes.

A knock come to his door. "Just a minute," Sirius called out as he stood drying off. He quickly grabbed a pair of black dress pants pulling them on and buttoning them his walked over opening the door finding Remus on the other side.

"I wanted to check on you," Remus stated looking over his best friend. Sirius said nothing opening the door to his room wider to let Remus in. "Where were you last night?"

Sirius closed the door walking over to his closet. "I was at Malfoy Manor."

"Why?" Remus asked leaning against Sirius's bed post.

"I was talking with Hermione again," Sirius spoke grabbing a shirt from his closet, throwing it on.

"Just talking?" Remus looked at Sirius questioningly.

"Talking and Recovering," Sirius admitted his shoulders slumped looking back at Remus. "Hermione bit me."

"What did you do?" Remus demanded crossing his arms.

"What didn't I do is the easier question," Sirius spoke not letting Remus say anything. "I accused you of being in love with her. When she told me, you had been in contact with her this whole time. She slapped me, and it was very much deserved. I thought you knew everything that had happened. I- I thought you were in love with her."

"I don't like them that young Sirius." Remus mocked playfully. No hint of anger in his voice.

"Yes, six years is apparently a big difference," Sirius smirked slightly before frowning. "You're not even the slightest bit mad at me for that."

"No," Remus admitted. "I did keep the letters from you but only because she asked me too."

"Do you still have those letters?" Sirius asked slightly hoping her would have them.

"I do but I won't let you read them Sirius," Remus admitted.

"Honestly, I don't even know if I would want to read them." Sirius stated.

"At first, I received many letters from her but over the years the dwindled down to nothing. Did it take you the whole night to recover?" Remus asked changing where the conversation was headed.

"No actually. I was helping her. Viktor finally made his appearance, he attacked her." Sirius growled.

"Merlin, is she alright?" Remus asked quickly.

"No, she was a mess. She warded everyone out of her room." Sirius explained. "I remembered how to get through her wards, tricky, but I remembered. We talked some more and she asked me not to leave. I didn't. I couldn't- I couldn't leave her like that; so I stayed and fell asleep with her."

"And how was she, when she woke up and you were still there?"

Sirius turned looking at Remus in the eyes, "When I woke up her arms were wrapped around me so tightly I couldn't move. Her head was resting on my stomach. I could have stayed there with her in that moment forever. When she woke up, she tried to shut me out again, but I can see her struggling with it."

Remus simply nodded.

"Why did you tell me to stay away from her?" Sirius asked, grabbing a tumbler pouring whiskey.

Remus's eyes cut to Sirius growing slightly cold, "Honestly?"

Sirius nodded even though he knew he probably wouldn't like the answer.

"I knew you would hurt her," Remus answered not sparing his friends feelings. "Although I will say. I thought you would have cheated on her; in all honesty."

"I guess. I surprised you on that."

"You truly did. I watched the longing you had for her turn to love. The night Ron had called her out about you and you went after him. I knew you loved her. Not even in school did you ever start a fight over a girl."

Sirius's jaw clenched as the memory played in his head. He could hear Ron spoke those words all over again.

"You have something else on your mind?"

Sirius tapped his fingers along the mantle of the fireplace. "I feel asleep in the tub and I had a dream. Nightmare really. I saw a small girl running around before yelling out daddy. She ran in Snape's arms, the girl looked just like me. Hermione had married him and had a son with a daughter on the way. There was more, but I am not sure what it all means."

"Well, you don't have to worry about that. They are not married." Remus stated placing a hand on his friends shoulder. "The other part of the dream, you'll figure it out."

"I hope so," Sirius whispered tossing back the rest of his drink.

"Now before you have anymore; let's get something to eat," Remus suggested giving his friend a smile.

Sirius nodded buttoning up his shirt following Remus out of his room.
