A/N: Sorry it took so long on an update. Real life happened. I know I have been posting some one-shots here or there. Now for some of the anonymous reviews, I have been getting lately have been annoying and honestly funny at the same time. Like this one…for a Christmas Hermione and Dean Winchester story.
(:ultra shitfic. nothing original here and nobody gives a s*** about a hermoine as a main character)
Well in all honestly no one gives a shit about your anonymous review. Also, next time try to spell the character's name right.
If you don't like it, don't read it! It's as simple as that.
Previously….
"Good morning to me," Sirius grumbled lying back on his pillow.
Now…..
"Viktor is moving alone?" Hermione questioned, sharing looks with those who stood with her around the table. "Or does he have an army moving with him?"
"He is moving quickly," Marcus replied, rubbing a hand over his face. "I wouldn't say army but he certainly has numbers."
"Do we know his location as of now?" Lucius questioned, seeing the articles from the Prophet this morning. Two entire towns demolished and in flames on the front page.
"The contact I have inside has informed me that my nightfall they will be in London. He'll be here before we know it, but he will not draw attention until he wants it." Marcus informed the room, looking over the papers in his hand.
"Very dramatic." Hermione quipped rolling her eyes. "We need alert the order."
"He will come for you," Marcus commented looking over at her from his papers. She could see the true concern for her in his eyes.
"Oh, I am counting on it," Hermione smirked, before turning to the fireplace in the room. She threw Floo powder in as the flames turned green. "Albus Dumbledore."
Moments passed until Albus' face appeared in the flames. "Hermione, wonderful to see you again."
"Viktor is making his move," Hermione announced skipping the pleasantries. "Call The Order, We are going to need as many people as we can get. They will all have to know everything that is coming."
"Certainly, Hogwarts tonight," Albus replied instantly vanishing from the flames.
"What do we do now?" Lucius asked.
"We wait," Hermione answered standing to her feet from the fireplace. "There's nothing more we can do right now."
"For now." Lucius agreed before moving closer to her, as Marcus slipped from the room leaving the Malfoy siblings alone.
"Thank you, Lucius, for everything," Hermione whispered, meeting her brother's grey eyes.
"You have nothing to thank me for," Lucius replied. "I will be by your side in this fight."
"No," Hermione answered shaking her head. The thought of losing Lucius tore her apart on the inside, losing any or the Malfoy's really "Absolutely not."
"Why not?" Lucius countered, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly.
Hermione sighed, "Your famous Malfoy glares are no longer scary Lucius, least not to me."
Lucius raised a brow in annoyance.
Hermione rolled her eyes as she continued, "I want to protect the last piece of the family I have left, that means you, Narcissa, Draco and our father. Protect our family Lucius, Please."
"That includes you, Hermione. You're a Malfoy." Lucius replied.
"Let's not forget the vampire part of that, Lucius." Hermione smiled softly up at him. "I have never openly asked you for anything, but I am now. Take our family and leave England, until I send for you to come home."
"And if you don't send for me?" Lucius whispered.
"Watch after our family." Hermione leaned forward pressing a kiss to his cheek. "Leave tonight."
"And if they refuse?" Lucius questioned, walking her walk away from him.
"Force them if necessary." Hermione replied tossing floo powder into the fire before disappearing into the flames.
Sirius stepped into the kitchen seeing Harry reading the prophet sitting at the table. Taking some toast from the stove Sirius sits in the seat across from Harry.
"Anything interesting?" Sirius questioned, motioning to the prophet in his godson's hands.
"Yeah, a string of vampire sightings and attacks," Harry replied, glancing at Sirius. He flipped the paper around showing him the front page of the Prophet. The picture showed a photo of a wizard dead and ripped apart. "I have no clue how this made it into the paper."
"Are they turning them?" Sirius asked skimming over the article, seeing a village demolished.
"No," Harry answered shaking his head. "That's the strange part. Some are drained dry- others are just torn apart."
"This is Viktor," Sirius stated not even having to guess. Even the short meeting with the vampire he knew it was the elder vampire.
"That's exactly what I was thinking." Harry sighed running his hands over his face. "I'm worried about everyone, but mostly Hermione."
"So am I," Sirius replied quietly rubbing the back of his neck. He knew what would happen to her when Viktor dies. He couldn't tell Harry that, then again, the words were even hard to speak.
"I saw Hermione leave the house earlier," Harry noted, Giving his godfather a knowing look. "Something I should know?"
Sirius froze slightly before answering, "Had a run in with Viktor. He had been stalking me down the street, Abraxas Malfoy was there as well. I saved Hermione's father. She came here after that."
"I don't want to know anything else," Harry spoke up holding up his hand. "As long as you both are okay."
"Yeah, I think we are," Sirius told him looking a little unsure about his own statement.
"Yeah, I also heard Ron talking to Hermione-" Harry momentarily paused, seeing the dark glare upon Sirius's face. "Ron told Hermione why he had been so hateful to her."
"Enlighten me then," Sirius muttered.
"He said he was jealous, of you and took everything out on her. He was in love with her." Harry explained.
Sirius scoffed, "I knew the damn boy was in love with but-."
"You were in love with her too." Harry finished.
Sirius nodded, "Amazing how almost dying enlightens you. Right now the main concern is Hermione and Viktor."
"I agree. Hopefully, this can all end soon," Harry replied seeing Albus Dumbledore enter the kitchen out of nowhere, with no announcement. Not that he really needed one, this was Albus Dumbledore after all. "Professor?"
"I see The Prophet got to you before I could," Albus spoke moving closer to them. "Viktor is moving here now. Harry alert those who need to know we will be meeting tonight at Hogwarts, as soon as possible to get there. I need you both to find any information the ministry knows while you're there."
"Of course, sir," Harry replied leaving out of the door to go to work, before pausing at the door. "Sirius, are you coming to work today?"
"Yeah, right behind you." Sirius sighed, following out of the house with Harry.
Hermione set in the corner of the room away from everyone, even her family. She was nursing a migraine as well as a glass of wine. Well, what she would believe a migraine was for a vampire. She was getting annoyed from waiting for the few stragglers to get there. Surprisingly Harry nor Sirius had arrived yet. Hermione knew she needed to talk to Sirius about the previous night. She should have not just left without waking him up but it would have led to, too many questions, she honestly didn't wait to deal with.
"Don't you look thrilled this evening."
Hermione glanced up seeing Severus standing next to her chair. She groaned slightly. "I don't know if I can handle your humor right now."
"Wasn't being funny," Severus replied stoically. "When will you-."
"Not now." Hermione glanced around seeing now one listening to them. "At least not here."
"I hope you know what you are doing, Hermione," Severus whispered to her. "I notice the rest of your family isn't here."
Hermione said nothing to the question of where her family was. The wizard raised a brow as he realized she had done something.
"What did you do?" Severus questioned.
"I am protecting them," Hermione replied, hating how fast he picked up on everything going on.
Severus's gaze darkened, "You sent them away."
Her dark red eyes turned to meet his obsidian eyes. "I believe I said protecting."
Giving an aggravated sigh Severus turned the conversation.
"I don't see your dog lurking around here," Severus noted, his eyes subtly shifted around the room. "You didn't kill him, did you? I wouldn't complain if you did."
"No, I didn't kill him, Severus," Hermione replied glancing up at him before drinking the rest of her glass. Hermione frowned seeing as the wine had no effect on her. Placing the glass down the flare of the fireplace caught her attention as Sirius and Harry stepped out of the fireplace looking ragged.
"Sorry we're late, headmaster. The department is going insane with all the attacks and the numbers are starting to climb higher." Sirius Informed the headmaster. She could see he was still in Auror mode, she smiled slightly. "It was hard enough for us to get away to come here tonight."
"That is disturbing news indeed."Albus frowned hearing this news, Sirius and Harry had brought to them. "We will have to move things forward as he has seemed to do as well."
The meeting pushed forward as the voices became muddled together, Hermione was drowning the voices out as they were saying the same ideas and same plans. Hermione remained silent not voicing her opinion on their plans unless it was something that might kill them all. Luckily every plan they were speaking of would work fine.
"Come to me."
Hermione's froze knowing Viktor was calling her. She would know his voice anywhere. She discreetly tapped Severus's arm before quickly sliding out of the side door of the great hall. Making her way down the hall to the entrance away from the people she cared most about behind her. She was making the choice that would probably cost her everyone she loved- again.
"Slipping out during the night again?"
Hermione's steps faltered, hearing Sirius speaking behind her.
"I had a good reason," Hermione replied, not turning around to look at him.
"I noticed trust me. The day I had at the ministry told me why you left." Sirius spoke moving around in front of her. "But you could have left a note."
"Well, I was in a little bit of a rush." Hermione sighed meeting his eyes. She could see the stress on his face, from the battle on the horizon brewing.
"I know, I woke up alone," Sirius smirked with a mischievous gleam in his eye. "I'm not mad about it, but where are you going, Hermione?"
Hermione looked at him frowning, it wouldn't take much for him to figure out the answer to where she was going.
Sirius stepped closer placing his hands on her shoulders, "I can't let you leave, Hermione. I don't want to lose you. I just got you back."
"I know that," Hermione whispers. "but I have to Sirius."
Sirius pulls her to him kissing her lips with true passion. If her heart was beating again it would have stopped here in this moment with Sirius. She placed her hand on the side of his neck, rubbing her thumb over his neck before quickly applying pressure.
"Hermione?" Sirius asked starting to sway. "What are you doing?"
"I'm cutting off your blood circulation, so you pass out," Hermione whispered. "Just so you now. I love you." Just as she finished speaking Sirius slumped down as she caught him laying him down on the floor.
"Oh, joy is he dead?"
Hermione gave an aggravated sigh as Severus stopped by her side. "No, he isn't dead. I don't have long until he wakes. I have to go."
"Then leave," Severus replied raising an eyebrow, before casting a disgusted glance down at Sirius.
"Love you too, Severus," Hermine smirked turning and walking out of the castle taking a deep breath she made her way to the one man she hated in this world. She knew she was making the right decision to protect her family. Stepping out the door she made her way across to the gates to the Forbidden Forest.
The air around her was perfectly still, nothing moved, it was quiet; Except for the footstep sounding behind her. They stopped short of her.
"I'm surprised you came on the first call. I figured you would fight more."
Hermione turned behind her looking straight into Viktor's red eyes. "I'm not stupid enough to ignore the call when I hear it."
His eyes narrowed slightly at her choice of words, before shrugging.
"How did you get away from the boyfriend?" Viktor asked.
"Easily," Hermione smiled. "Pressure points do wonderful things."
Viktor waved off her words before holding out a hand to her, "Now, come with me we have many things to discuss."
Hermione placed her hand into his disappearing in a flash with him. She silently prayed everything would work as planned.
Sirius groaned opening his eyes, he glanced around looking up seeing Severus standing over him.
"Oh, I must be in hell." Sirius groaned sitting up, realizing he was still on the stairs.
"You think the first thing you would see in hell is me?" Severus questioned with a sneer.
"You're right I would have seen my mother," Sirius replied grabbing onto the stair railing trying to stand. "Where the hell is she?"
"Gone," Severus replied simply.
Sirius glared up at the Potions master knowing he wouldn't say anything revealing where Hermione had gone. "She's going to him, hasn't she?"
"Yes."
"These one-word answers are killing me," Sirius growled rubbing his neck.
"Wonderful."
If Sirius hadn't known better, he would swear the man had a smirk pass across his face. Sirius shook his head moving to where the order meeting was still going on. Sirius walked in whistling grabbing the rooms attention. "Hermione's gone."
"How do you know?" Harry demanded, instantly worrying about where she had gone.
"Well seeing as how she isn't even in the castle now might give it away."
"She overpowered you?" Ron asked.
"She knows pressure points," Sirius answered rubbing his neck.
"You didn't try to stop her?" Ron asked. "She's going to die!"
"I am sorry. Can you change Hermione's mind after she has it made up? Let's also not forget she's a vampire." Sirius glared at the redhead. "Since when do you care what happens to her. Last I knew you would be happy if she had died."
"I was wrong okay!" Ron exclaimed throwing his hands up.
"Wow took you this long to realize it?" Sirius growled, causing Ron to step up coming nose to nose with the older wizard.
"No longer than you." Ron countered.
"Really?" Sirius challenged. "You were a bastard during the duration of mine and Hermione's relationship and after; until the other night when you apparently found yourself again."
Ron moved ever so slightly.
"Do you really want to go against me again?" Sirius reminded him, glancing down to the wand sitting in the younger wizard's hand. "I won't even need a wand to finish you."
"That's Enough," Albus spoke up silencing everyone before more could be said. Ron back away from Sirius quickly, remembering he was no match for The Black heir. The wizard didn't need fighting and arguing amongst the order. "We all must stay ready. It won't be long now, before Viktor and his forces move. Everyone must play their role."
