Chapter 3: New Life…
"Roses?" The assembly was glaring at Snape.
"It is said to keep the Nargles away," Luna justified herself.
There was two intertwined Pensieve beside her, which projected her memories on a wall. Everyone could look at them while she was being interrogated by the two advocates. She could not see Severus' face.
"Is this memory really helpful?" The judge asked.
"What comes just after that is, yes."

Luna had been up for a bit of spying that night, she had hidden in the office instead of leaving. A portrait had shouted, and then Severus was talking to Dumbledore's portrait again. He had taken Gryffindor's sword and left, following the Headmaster's orders. She had waited, for what felt like days. And then he was back. He looked exhausted.
"He made it," Severus said to the portrait. "He practically drowned himself, but he made it. Merlin, I'll never swear again to help and save a little brat who constantly seeks danger." Severus had put his face in his hands.
"You're a brave man, Severus," Dumbledore said.
"Don't call me that. If I survive this hell, the Wizenmagot will sentence me to death. And they'll be right."

"To the accusation of being a Death-Eater, and committing war crimes for Voldemort account, the court stated the prisoner innocent."
Luna has holding her breath. She knew she shouldn't count her owls before they are delivered, but Severus was her friend.
"To the accusation of murdering Albus Dumbledore, the court stated the prisoner guilty."
A huge noise emerged from the crowd, filling the room and the corridors around.
"Yet," the judge carried on, "as documents coming from the Ministry of Magic and Muggles authorities asks for a pardon… Severus Tobias Snape is declared cleared of all charges."
.oOo.
Luna was writing in her father's office. They were talking together about Severus's trial.
"I don't think we should put it that way in the article," Luna said. "We should focus on Severus's innocence, alright. We might be the only one to write about it, and I bet the Daily Prophet will be very hard on him. Yet, Severus is only a part of the problem."
"What do you mean?" Xenophilius asked.
"We should write more about basic rights. You know, muggles have a Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Great Britain agreed to it, and Wizards are humans! I mean, there is still torture, and barbary in our world. We should act against it…"
Xenophilius looked in disbelief to his daughter.
"…otherwise, this war would mean nothing." He completed.
"And, I know it's another subject, but I think we should also stand for equality amongst wizards. I know witches and wizards all have the same rights in our laws, but it's not the same with how things really are."
"You are right. It's only too often that we think in term of gender, blood status, houses and there is so much more."
"Yet, dad, we have quite a bad reputation. And it'll be hard to ask people to stand for rights if we are not serious enough."
