Hey guys, what's up?
Well since I'm updating, I might as well tell you that for those of you who don't know yet, I have a new Power Rangers series out. Power Rangers Alpha Chargers! So if you could check it out (and Elemental Masters), that would be great!
Oh and did I tell you I have my series up on Power Rangers Fanon Wiki? Yeah, if you'd like to check them out, please do! I'd really appreciate the support!
Anyway, let's get on with Blue Blood!
Chapter 28
Blue Blood Part 2
How tight was her ponytail? Yeah, it seemed to be holding well. She folded back her fringe and pinned it in with a hair clip, making sure not a single hair would get in her eyes. Finally satisfied, Zoe nodded and gave her ponytail one last yank before grabbing her blue jacket and putting it on, heading outside where Finian was waiting patiently.
"Are you ready?"
"Yeah yeah yeah, I'm ready, can we just go?" Zoe replied rudely, tossing her Blue Energy Morpher up and down.
Finian tightened his lips. "I disapprove of your impulse, Zoe. Once we finish your training, I'll make sure you know how to control your temper."
"Sure you will," Zoe snorted, zipping up her jacket in a vicious manner.
"And you question why you struggle in battle," Finian frowned. "You constantly underestimate your oppoments."
"Paine does too!"
"No he doesn't," said Finian. "He plans his schemes. He picks out your weaknesses before creating warriors to take on those weaknesses. When he sees an oppurtunity, he'll take it!"
Zoe lowered her eyebrows, growling a little. "I hate you, you know that?"
Finian just turned his back on her unfased and started heading off. "Very well. Now let's be on our way."
As he strolled away, Zoe just stared at him not sure what to say.
'Is there anything in the freaking universe that gets to this guy?'
"Why should I let you take over from me?" Master Paine frowned.
"Because I have seen everything I need to know," Vladimir snarled. "They're wasting their power already, using what they call Extreme Sports Mode . . ."
Paine's eyes widened. "They've unlocked Extreme Sports Mode?!"
"Yes yes," Vladimir replied. "Don't worry about it. The more they use their so-called "skills", the more information I'll have before I finally strike."
"But why can't we strike now?" Paine asked in frustration.
"We'll strike every once in a while. To work out their techniques, strengths and weaknesses," said Vladimir. "Speaking of which . . . I feel now would be a good time. I do believe that the team are down a couple of members . . ."
"Down?" Paine stood up straight. "What do you mean?"
"Well I wouldn't say 'down' exactly. They're more . . . occupied," replied Vladimir. "Busy. And you'll be glad to hear that the Olympian Warrior is one of them."
Paine straightened even more. "Then shouldn't we send a monster to attack?"
Vladimir chuckled. "But of course . . ." He turned to Ernestine who winced and edged away. Since Vladimir had been created, she had been sure to keep her distance from him.
"You! Come here!"
She nodded quickly and scooted over without a moment's hesitation. "Wh- what is it you want me to do then?"
Vladimir grabbed her by the shoulder and yanked her over so they were pratically face to face. When he spoke again, it was in a voice that was soft but dangerous. "What do you think I want you to do?"
He tightened his grip on Ernestine's shoulder, enough to make her cringe.
"Create a monster?"
"That's right."
Ernestine only just managed to swallow back the lump in her throat. "Okay . . . Any one in particular?"
She could have sworn she heard Vladimir growl and had to muster all her strength to keep herself from coming across as terrified.
"Listen carefully . . . This is what I want . . ."
"She's done what?"
Callum stared in disbelief at his scientist mentor who just continued typing away on his computer like it was another ordinary day.
"Callum, Finian knows what he's doing. Zoe said she wanted to be a better fighter so he's going to help her become one."
"Yeah, I know that," Callum exclaimed a little frustrated. "And I know, I have no problem with Finian trying to help her but . . . Zoe is going to hurt herself if she keeps on pushing herself the way she is! I mean she's already broken her wrist! And if a normal round of casual ice skating can do just that then-" He gritted his teeth.
Dr. Sparks smirked a little and twisted his chair around to face him. "You really are concerned, aren't you?"
"Yes! Yes, I am!" The red ranger suddenly paused, realizing where this was going. "No! Don't you start too, I've got the others making fun of me every time I so much as say Zoe's name!"
"Who said I was gonna make fun of it?" Dr. Sparks replied casually. "Besides, I think it's great you like her! And you know what?" His smirk grew as he lowered his voice to a whisper. "Zoe really likes you too!"
"I know." Callum frowned a little.
The scientist's smirk grew even wider. "And I'd ask why you haven't told her but I think we already know the answer: you're afraid that if you DO confess, she's gonna beat you and then reject you for the rest of your life."
Callum sighed and glanced down at his feet. "Took the words right out of my mouth."
Dr. Sparks nodded, his smirk dropping a little. "She cares for you more than you think. She's just too scared to admit it. Heck, I think she's even more scared than you of confessing her feelings! You wanna know why?" Without giving Callum a chance to reply, he continued on. "Because she feels she's got a reputation to hold. Every time she smacks you, every time she insults you, she's doing it to hide the fact that she really likes you. She's building a wall around herself to keep anyone from hitting her tough girl image. Not only is she building a wall- she's hiding behind that wall. She feels that if she emerges from that wall, it's going to ruin her. And you know what you gotta do?"
Callum nodded quickly. "Yeah!"
"Well I guarantee you that one of these days, that wall is going to collapse," said Dr. Sparks. "It's all about timing. You just need to wait for that wall to break. Even if there's a dent, you take advantage, break through and confess. You're ready when she's ready."
"How do you know all of this?" Callum asked, obviously amazed.
Dr. Sparks smirked again, holding out his arms. "I'm a scientist! I study lot's of things! And you can bet the human mind is one of them!"
The red ranger raised his eyebrows. "Oh! Okay then!" Gee, who knew that a simple amount of advice could give you such a big confidence boost?
"Thanks for that!"
"Just doing my job," the scientist smiled pleasantly.
The friendly moment was suddenly interrupted by the all-too familiar sound of the alarm ringing throughout the lab. Naturally Dr. Sparks was already checking to see what the problem was while Callum rushed over to him to check it out himself.
"And speaking of which, it's time for you to do your job. There's a new villain out in town."
"Right. I'll get the others." Callum was about to run off when he suddenly stopped. "Should I call Zoe and Finian?"
"Don't worry about it," Dr. Sparks replied reassuringly. "Finian will know what to do."
'I sure hope so,' Callum thought to himself as he raced off to find the other three Energy Rangers to head off into battle with.
"Hey!"
Zoe stopped and pulled her Blue Enetgy Morpher out of her pocket. It was bleeping loudly, obviously telling her there was a monster on the loose.
"Okay, we gotta head out right now!"
She was abput to sprint off but Finian was even quicker, catching her arm before she could step a single pace away.
"Not until you go through your training."
"Finian, the others need my help! The training can wait!" Zoe struggled furiously but that wow man was strong!
"Zoe, trust me! There are some things that can wait and some things that can't. Right now, your training is one thing that can't wait! Without that training, you'll only come across as more of a hinderance than help!" he insisted.
"So?"
"We'll do what we must when we must do it! If you want to head into battle any time soon, I suggest you get on with it and listen to me!" The sudden harshness of his tone was enough to make Zoe stop struggling and stare at him, not sure how to react.
"Well." Finian nodded sternly and let go of her arm. "Now that we've got that over with, we can begin out first test."
Zoe lowered her eyebrows. "What?"
"We're here."
The blue ranger lowered her eyebrows and glanced around her. A small dojo-like building caught her attention. Only it looked like it was thousands of years old. The white painting had turned grey and dusty, some of it peeling off. The wood looked like it came from a tree just begging to be chopped down. The windows that hadn't been broken certainly looked like they were ready to be smashed at any second. Even the door looked like it was about to fall down the second someone touched it.
"That's it?" She pulled a face.
"Yes, that's it." Finian looked so proud, it was actually sickening. How could he be proud of this place? There was no way someone could take such pride in this place unless . . .
"It's gonna be really fancy inside, isn't it?" Zoe frowned a little. "Olivia's already taught me that lesson! The old 'something that looks delicate can be really strong if you misjudge them' or something like that."
"Maybe."
Zoe pulled a face. This guy was really good at keeping her guessing and she didn't like it one bit!
Nevertheless she groaned and stepped up to the rustic door and nudged it open. Surprisingly it managed to open better than she expected, allowing her to step into the large hallway inside.
That's basically what it was.
A large hallway.
No punching bags, no dummies, no machinery or weapons, nothing.
It was just one large empty hallway.
"What is this?" Zoe stared at Finian, now confused.
Finian just beamed. "This is my old training hall."
'Well you certainly got the "old" part right.'
"This isn't a training hall," muttered Zoe.
"Actually it is." Without making eye contact with her, he strolled over to one of the old walls and folded his arms casually.
"You're joking me."
Finian just smirked.
"It's not funny!" Zoe snapped.
"I'm not laughing at you."
"You smiled."
"That doesn't necessarily mean I'm making fun of you. But you'll be surprised to know that I've trained here for a long time before I became a Ranger. Many people come here to train and take many tests," said Finian. "And you know what?"
"What?"
The Olympian Warrior's smirk grew wider. "I believe your first test is already in progress."
"Wait, what?"
Test? First test? In progress? But wasn't this training? Zoe stiffened.
'WHAT IS UP WITH THIS GUY?!'
Aaaaand there's Part 2!
Yeah, I know, I really shouldn't be dividing these chapters up but I have a few reasons. I'll admit laziness is one of them but I've got other reasons:
I'm making up most of these scenarios as I go along! You gotta realize when I first started writing this, this was one of my first few FanFictions where I was just so excited to write it and get reviews, I didn't really think of an entire plot.
Speaking of reviews- yeah, I haven't been getting a whole load of them lately. Not just with Elemental Masters and Alpha Chargers but now Sports Energy is losing it's popularity too. Guys, if you could recommend these to people who think they'll like this, please do! I pratically live on feedback and to see this story get popular reviews means so much to me!
Anyway, I hope you liked the update!
Please check out my Rangers on FanFiction, Fanon Wiki and DeviantART! That's right, my Rangers are on DeviantART! The link to my username is on my profile!
Oh and be sure to check out Eddmspy's Rangers too! "Why?" I hear you ask.
Well 1: Her Rangers are awesome, they are so creative and the characters and situations are great.
2: My Rangers will be teaming up with hers! So stay tuned!
Anyway, see ya! ;D
