Chapter edited. When i first wrote this fiction as tribute to my late best buddy, cujo. And I was in tears myself at the time when I wrote this. A few mistakes that I had edited.

chapter 2

Mikey had everyone worried, as he remained in his room. Raphael frowned and sighed, lightly as he waited outside his brothers room whilst cradling in his grasp a tray of fresh food that he made for mikey. "Mikey, hungry?" Paused a second, continued waiting and continued, hopeful. "I made your favorite. It jelly beans and caramel pizza with pretzels."

No answer except a protest of disgust from Donatello as he walked by, trying to get the image of the pizza from his mind and sipped his hot coffee. Raphael realised immediately and agreed. "I know right, donnie. But have to try something, to get mikey out of his room, right?" Donatello shrugged lightly and agreed. "Right, hope he'd open the door and accept the offering." Raphael smiled softly, nodded and tried once more. Lightly knocked on his brothers door, once again no answer. Raphael sighed in defeat then finally placed the tray down and walked away, as he walked away a few feet. The lair doors opened, Shadow and triton immediately bolted in the room and happily pranced like a pair jackalopes.

Raphael smiled, chuckled and welcomed shadow into his embrace as triton sat down nearby patiently waited to be greeted as he lightly panted. Both Robyn and April walked in, shortly afterwards. Looking over his niece's tiny shoulder, raised hise brow as he curiously wondered what was the tiny black ball of fluff that laid asleep within crevice of April's embrace.

Shadow happily pulled away whilst Raphael had stood up and placed his large hand upon triton's large strong head, tilting his head slightly as he enjoyed the light scratch and grunted happily. "What is that, April?" The sister's looked to eachother, smiling and hopeful then looked to raphael as leonardo walked out and greeted the trio before triton bolted to him, knocking the blue clad terrapin on his shell and laughed as he was been smothered by triton licking his face which distracted the sisters from answering raphael's question. "Hello big boy, alright triton. Heel, I missed you too." Leonardo protested, happily.

"Triton, settle down boy." Robyn chuckled and raphael asked once again after a giggle. "Alright, what is that?"

"Oh? We thought to get a new kitty for mikey. Is he around?" Robyn answered and asked as she gently took the kitten from april's embrace. Raphael and leonardo, glanced surprised then pointed to thier brothers room and replied in unison. "Yes, he is around. In his room." Robyn walked to the room and waltzed through, hopefully sought a response from the grieving orange clad terrapin but only saw him curled up on the bed, silent. Cuddling the old blanket that klunk once slept on. Robyn's smiled immediately changed to a worrying frown, sighed softly and carefully walked towards him then sat down beside him. "Hey mikey. I have something for you."

He continued to lay on his side, with his shell facing Robyn ignoring her. The black kitten lightly mewed, stood up slightly and stretched lightly then leaped from robyn's embrace and purred lovingly as she hopped over mikey's shoulder and stood before his nose then lightly placed histiny paw on the tip of his nose. Mikey finally opened his tired, red eyes and glanced upon the beautiful kitten he saw before him, at first he was surprised and looked to robyn then back to the kitten that lightly smothered him lovingly and continued purring.

Mikey smiled, and immediately cuddled the kitten then softly asked. "For me?" Robyn smiled and nodded. "Yes, sure is. What are you going to call her?"

"Her? Kitty is a she?" he asked. "Yes, she is a she." Mikey was so happy that he couldnt stop smiling and without a second glance to robyn, he finally answered. "Midnight."

"Shall we, introduce midnight to everyone?" Robyn inquired, patiently. Mikey jumped out of his bed and bolted out, happy as he cried. "This is midnight!" Robyn happily chuckled and followed out the excited happy terrapin that suddenly had forgotten secondly. Triton and shadow played happily as April stood with raphael, watching the pair play and robyn finally joined the group as Raphael stated to the girls.

"Wouldnt thought to look for another cat, as it was too much since klunk died." April lightly rubbed his tricep, agreeing and answered. "Yeah we know. But, klunk would want this for mikey." The old rat stood in the doorway of his room, smiling as Leonardo stood beside him just as happily. "Been a long time since seeing mikey happy."

"Yes, indeed my son. Indeed." Splinter answered. "Hopefully, mikey can move forward as klunk will always be apart of this family." Leonardo agreed. Then suddenly, the old rat chuckled when witnessing triton wanting to spar Raphael.

Raphael protested for a moment, then finally gave in and lightly sparred with the hyperactive dog. Robyn watched, lightly folded her arms as April stood beside her sister and giggled. "What a pair."

Robyn smiled, and stated. "Yeah, what a pair."

Yes this chapter is short, but what you will read in the next one. Just a warning as you will need tissues. And, just a quick back story of when my pup was a year old. I did adopt his half sister from the same breeder when he crossed paths with us as i have written in the last chapter in the italics. She is just as beautiful and just as good like her older brother but it is hard without him but we are managing slowly. Yes it was difficult for us to lose dearest cujo but, we still think about him everyday and miss him terribly. We are remembering the best moments of his life we spent with him as no other dog could ever replace him.
