Tsukishima was in a long line of at least sixty people that led up to a cheese tart bakery. It was not any typical cheese tart bakery. It was Hokkaido's signature cheese tarts. He did not understand why he was standing in the middle of it under the scorching hot sun that just peaked twenty-five minutes ago, but if his mother really wanted a box of those cheese tarts, he would go and get them.

He ignored the rising temperature in his body that was encapsulated by his thick hoodie and focused on reading the latest edition of Dinosaurs Weekly on his smartphone. The online magazine had an interesting theory essay submitted by a fan who believed that dinosaurs did not go extinct- they made camp in the Bermuda Triangle. The convoluting explanation helped to pass the next forty minutes and make every step forward feel like he covered twenty metres. Finally, he became the second person in line.

A lady in a big straw hat had been in front of him the entire time. It should be quick. She would ask for a box of ten, pay, and leave. Ten cheese tarts were what everyone in line is waiting for.

The lady asked the cashier, "Could you give me a sample?"
