Dean had been gone nearly five minutes, and that's when I started to panic. My hands shivered as I clutched onto my silver knife. The snow storm outside was getting worse, whether it be a natural occurrence, or because of demonic influence. To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if the demon assassin was channelling Storm from X-Men.
The wind was howling loudly, and the cold air gushed in through the broken window. The salt circle began to blow away at my feet. I gasped, and quickly reapplied the salt, but it was proving to be hopeless.
"Dammit" I cursed.
Desperate, I fell to my knees, whilst the knife slipped out of my hands, and imbedded itself into the grimy carpet. I squeezed my eyes shut and clasped my hands together, and did something I hadn't done in years.
"Angel of God, my Guardian dear," I prayed, my knuckles flushing white. "To whom God's love commits me here; ever this day, be at my side. To light and guard. To rule and guide."
I snapped my eyes open, as I snatched the knife from out of the carpet.
"Castiel!" I cried out, standing onto my feet. "Castiel! I need you! Please! Castiel!"
My ears started to buzz, as if I had a swarm of bees inside my head. I held onto my head, as the noise was unbearable. Suddenly, a hand clamped onto my shoulder. Startled, I spun around, my knife ready to attack. Thankfully, I didn't lash out, or else, Castiel's throat would've been sliced wide open.
"Christina," said Castiel. "Where is it? Where is the demon?"
I pointed to the window, to which Castiel wandered over.
"It's outside," I replied. "Cas, you gotta do something. My brother is out there. The last thing I want is for him to get hurt, at my expense."
Cas stared out of the broken window, his eyes as cold as the weather. He swiped a finger across the window frame.
"It's presence is strong," he said, rubbing the traces of sulphur between his index finger and his thumb. He turned towards me. "This hideous abomination will pay greatly for coming across you're path. This is dangerous."
I frowned, as I travelled over to him. True, Cas spoke in this weird ass cryptic manner all the time I've known him, but this was different. He placed his hands onto my shoulders, and knelt down at my level.
"What I am about to do, is not wise," said Cas, his eyes staring deep into mine, as if he was searching for something. "You must understand, that I don't mean to bring you harm, or further threat to you and your family. As a result, I might regret what I am about to do, but it is the only way to be rid of this demon for good."
Alright, this was confusing, and suddenly I didn't trust the expression in Cas's eyes. I began to slowly back away from him. However, Cas followed my every movement. This was definitely bad, I could tell. Dammit, where the hell was Dean?
"Cas?" I said, holding onto my knife. My back hit the bathroom door. "Cas? You're scaring me. What are you….."
Suddenly, Cas violently pressed a hand onto my chest, raising me from the ground. The knife fell onto the ground once again. A searing pain exploded from within me, causing me to scream out in agony. Everything was burning. My torso. My eyes. My shoulder blades.
"Forgive me" uttered Cas.
I couldn't see, as everything was being blinded by a bright white light. It was if I was being electrocuted from the inside. I let out a final high pitched pain filled scream, before I collapsed into the darkness.
"Please, forgive me" repeated Cas.
Dun. Dun. Dunnnnn. What happens next? What did Cas do to our feisty little Chris?
Stay tuned!
