Author's Notes: I'm back with another chapter. I apologize for the long wait but I've been very busy and I hardly had a chance to write the chapter because of it. Now for the reviews.

Stratos263: He is, half of the time.

Cobalt Striker Gundam: Well it depends on the context I guess? That scene with her was mostly for comedic purposes. Chloe has enough credentials to be a teacher's assistant part time. Mostly training since that was half of the reason why he went on the trip back home to begin with.

Keybladewielder97: That'll be brought up in this chapter, but for now I'll just say that she's been busy. If Vince can get an affinity for another element then he'll be able to use it.

NERO TOVACK: If enough people ask for a lemon with Rena, I'll write it.

The Storm Master 567: No he won't. It made things a little bit easier for Vince to get his real Balance Breaker, but that's about it. I haven't planned that far ahead with Cao Cao though.

Izayoi Ruler Raizel: Vince will get a Devil Trigger soon. Not in this arc though.

hime: Glad you like it. At this point, Jeanne and Vince don't really like each other in that way. It's more or less like a rivalry at this point.

ZeroSaga: Mostly training.

zero kazama: Well, that scene was mostly for comedic purposes, their relationship is a bit more... complex than that. Vince could tell the Three Factions about it, but he really has no reason in telling them since he doesn't really trust or know them well enough.

sigmon: Good to see you like it.

That's all I have to say for the reviews, thanks for the feedback now on to the chapter.

Disclaimer: I do not own Highschool DxD or any other references or elements I may put in the story. They all belong to their respective owners I only own my OCs.

Vince yawned a bit as he slowly opened his eyes. He looked around and his eyes widened at seeing Rena holding on to his arm, sleeping soundly. (What the...?!)

His eyes darted to bed sheets and saw the sheets stained with blood and multiple stains. A look of realization appeared on his face as he nodded. (Oh that's right. Rena and I had sex.)

A blush appeared on his face, recollecting the previous night. (Never knew Rena could be like that.)

Rena yawned cutely as she rubbed her eyes. She looked at Vince and smiled. "Morning."

"...Mornin'." He replied awkwardly.

"Is something wrong Vince?" She asked after noticing his blush and his tone.

"It's nothing." Vince said getting out of bed as he kissed Rena on the cheek, causing her to blush slightly.

"S-So..." Rena began looking at him.

"I wonder if Rossweisse and your parents heard this." He wondered, stretching his arms a little, giving her an unintentional view of his naked body.

Rena didn't pay attention to what he said, but instead her eyes roamed all over his body, her eyes trailed down to near his groin until he quickly covered it with his hand.

"My eyes are up here, Rena." Vince said dryly.

"Sorry." She replied in an embarrassed tone, until a look of realization appeared on her face. "Oh god, what if my parents or Rossweisse heard us? I mean I placed that barrier in the room to reduce the sound..."

"That's what I just finished saying-" He walked towards the bathroom door and paused for a moment before turning towards her. "Wait what? Why did you put a barrier that reduces sound instead of completely making it sound-proof?"

"I didn't have enough time for that." Rena got up from the bed but paused for a moment as soon as she saw Vince staring at her. "Is something wrong?"

"You didn't plan this very well. Did you?" Vince accused as he raised an eyebrow.

Rena blushed a little in embarrassment and looked the other way.

He shook his head but had a small smile. "You're glowing by the way."

"Eh?" She looked towards the large mirror in the room and noticed her body was slightly glowing while various parts of her body, mainly her breasts and neck were slightly red.

"Huh. I didn't think you would get an afterglow from having sex." Vince answered bluntly.

Rena blushed at the recollection and turned away, looking slightly embarrassed. "Well, it was really good."

"Yeah."

A small pout appeared on her face as she turned to face him. "You definitely knew what you were doing. Let me guess, you did that to Yasaka and Kasumi as well?"

Vince said nothing but instead starting whistling innocently, much to her ire. (She isn't exactly wrong with that statement.)

"Vince. You'll have to answer the question someday. You can't keep putting it off." She answered frowning a little.

"Oh look over there, a distraction for me." He said as he walked into the bathroom.

"Stop changing the subject you ass!" Rena shouted as she threw a pillow at the door.

However her shouted was drowned out by the sound of the water coming down from the shower.

xXxXxXxXxX

Rena and Vince immediately looked the other way as Yuji, Serena and Rossweisse were all looking at them.

The room was quickly enveloped by an awkward atmosphere as they continued to look at the two. Rena then cleared her throat and spoke up, slightly nervous. "W-What is it?"

"You heard us didn't you?" He asked bluntly.

"Yes we did. We also noticed that barrier around the room." Serena answered with a small smile.

"Why would you do that Rena?" Rossweisse asked frowning.

"W-Well, I would have done something like this earlier but to much stuff got in the way." Rena answered in a slightly nervous tone.

"I'm actually surprised it happened this early. I thought it would take like two more years or something." Yuji spoke causing Vince to look at him slightly confused.

"Two years?"

"Yeah, you two are very stubborn and private when it comes to those types of things." He answered in a nonchalant tone.

Rena gave her father an unamused look as Rossweisse turned to Vince, with an annoyed look.

"Are you jealous or something Rossweisse?" Vince asked jokingly.

Rossweisse's face turned red as her eye twitched. "I am not jealous!"

Serena placed a mouth to her hand and giggled a little while Yuji held back a laugh at her reaction.

Rena cleared her throat trying regain her composure. "Either way... we'll be focusing on training after breakfast. Right Rossweisse, Vince?"

Rossweisse nodded as Vince shook his head. "No. I have some plans to do today. I'll be training in the afternoon."

"What are you going to do?" Rena asked raising an eyebrow.

"I'll be stopping by my mom's house to see how she's doing, after that I'm going to see check how Chloe is in the hospital." Vince answered simply.

"Oh." Rena looked completely surprised at his reasoning while Rossweisse smiled a little.

"Are you going to stay for breakfast Vince?" Serena questioned.

"No. There's a gas station nearby my house. I'll pick up a breakfast burrito there." He replied with a small shrug.

Rena cringed a little bit in response. "Are you kidding me? That's hardly healthy to eat Vince."

"I'll have to agree with Rena on this. Gas station food is hardly breakfast. 'Sides the last one I had gave me a stomachache." Yuji added shuddering a little.

"Even though it's a good bargain, that's not a good decision to have that for breakfast. Just what do you eat for breakfast anyway?" Rossweisse asked frowning a little.

Vince looked the other way, scratching his cheek while Rena sighed. "Instant ramen for breakfast or frozen pizza. Thankfully Kasumi and Rias tossed it away and replaced it with better food."

Rossweisse frowned and turned towards Vince while Serena sighed and shook her head. "Either way, I'll be making breakfast. Vince, it would be best if you stay and eat. It would be a waste of time and money to buy breakfast from a gas station."

(A gas station isn't that bad. I don't think I'll ever understand rich people.) Vince thought sighing a bit.

"There is a question I've been meaning to ask you for a while Vince." Rena began as she looked at him.

"What is it?" He asked looking slightly confused.

"Why haven't you introduced me to your other family members?" Rena questioned raising an eyebrow.

Vince looked surprised, not expecting the question. After a few moments of silence, he shrugged. "Because they're an embarrassment."

Rena and Rossweisse looked at him, surprised at the cold answer while Yuji let out a low whistle. "That's pretty harsh. Not that it's any of my business but are they really that bad?"

"My mom has a very similar opinion about them." Vince answered calmly.

Yuji rubbed the back of his head. "Is it because they see you as your father?"

Vince's eye twitched slightly at the reminder, but remained calm. "That's a part of the reason. Aside from that they're very hypocritical, judgemental and their greed is on par with a devil."

"Yikes. I can see how the device I gave you a few years ago, picked up so much hatred from them." Yuji answered shaking his head.

Rena shuddered at the memory. "Trying to concentrate using Senjutsu with their hatred was really difficult."

"Is there anyone from your family that's not like that?" Rossweisse asked frowning.

"My great grandma and grandpa. They were nice people I hardly remember my great grandpa though. Both of them are dead." He replied calmly.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know." Rossweisse apologized, looking slightly sad.

"Don't worry about it." Vince waved off casually.

"Breakfast is ready." Serena called as she placed multiple plates on the table.

The plates themselves were each filled with a large omelette stuffed with various steam cooked vegetables pieces of steak on the inside, on the side of it were two freshly cooked sausages and four stripes of bacon.

Vince's eyes widen at the meal as Serena smiled and placed four large glass cups filled with orange juice. (Isn't this overboard? It's only breakfast or is it a rich person thing?)

"Is something wrong Vince?" Serena asked, noticing his expression.

"It's nothing."

"You're just not used to seeing large breakfasts like this, right?" Yuji asked.

"Yeah..." He admitted, taking a sip of his orange juice.

A small grin appeared on Yuji's face. "I wouldn't worry about it too much. You'll get used to it, since you and Rena are getting hitched, right?"

Vince nearly choked on his drink while Rena blushed brightly. "F-Father!"

"I don't think you should tease them Yuji. After all, we do have to take in Rossweisse's consideration, yes?" Serena teased as she sat down on her seat.

"P-Please don't tease me like that Serena-san." Rossweisse said as she calmed down the blush on her face.

Rena gave her parents annoyed look. "You two sure are having a field day today."

Yuji whistled innocently as Serena smiled, much to her ire.

"You know, there is one thing that's been on my mind for a while-" Vince took a small bite of his omelette with a fork. After swallowing the small bite he continued. "What got you started on making weapons, Serena?"

Serena paused for a moment before taking a sip of orange juice. "Well... what got me started was Rena."

"Rena...?" Vince asked looking completely confused.

"Yes. When it was first discovered Rena could use Senjutsu it was really hectic and I wanted to create a weapon that would help keep her safe from the side effects of using Senjutsu. The idea came from a family member of mine that recommended it." Serena spoke in a somewhat nostalgic tone.

"I remember that. You really were deep into making weapons. You even started liking it." Yuji added with a small grin.

Serena nodded as she continued. "Rena had a lot of trouble controlling Senjutsu and it was really difficult back then."

Rena winced a little at the reminder but continued eating, with Rossweisse looking at her slightly worried.

"So, why didn't you just teach her on what you did for using Senjutsu?" Vince asked as he took a bite of his breakfast.

Serena finished eating her omelette and wiped her mouth with a napkin in an elegant manner. "I can't use Senjutsu myself."

"What? I thought Elves having a connection to nature let them use Senjutsu more easily, or something like that." Vince spoke sounding surprised.

"While that is true Vince, not every elf can use Senjutsu. It is a very rare trait that only a few elves can use. It's even much more rare that Rena can use it." Serena explained.

"It's because I'm a half-elf, right?" Rena asked as she took a sip of her orange juice.

"Correct. As I said earlier, when Rena started using Senjutsu it was really hectic. She would constantly lose control over it and because of that I learned how to make weapons that can properly channel and withstand the side effects from Senjutsu, until Rena had enough experience so that she wouldn't succumb to it. Back then it was a lot of trail and error." Serena informed, sighing a bit.

"Rena's rapier in a simplified sense is a set of training wheels for using Senjutsu. While Serena was doing that I was practicing a lot of restraining spells. It really came in handy." Yuji commented, taking a huge bite out of his food.

"You recall that time Rena lost control of her, right Vince?" Serena asked him.

Vince nodded as he took a bite out his bacon stripe. (I remember it was a year ago before I went to Kuoh. Her rapier snapped in half and she lost control of herself. It was a messed up experience.)

(Flashback)

"Haaaaa!" Rena lunged at Vince with her rapier at a startling speed.

"Nice try!" Vince bended his body backwards to avoid the attack, however the rapier nicked his chin. He brought his water kodachi up and slashed Rena's rapier while simultaneously piercing through the rapier with his lightning katana.

A small trail of blood poured from the small cut as Vince harshly kicked Rena in the stomach, sending her a few centimeters away from him.

Rena skidded back a bit and rubbed her stomach a bit. "Not bad Vince, but that won't be enough."

Unaware of to the two a large crack appeared on her weapon. Vince wiped the blood from his chin and sighed. "Can we call this a day already?"

"Not yet Vince. I want to spar some more." Rena said as she lunged at him with her rapier, channeling senjutsu into the blade.

"Then ask your parents for that!" Vince parried the weapon with his kodachi and brought down the lightning katana with a powerful swing.

The rapier shattered in half, causing Rena's eyes to widen. Vince sighed as both of his weapons shattered from the force of the attack. "There. We're done."

"No... we're not done yet...!" Rena's entire body was soon enveloped with an ominous aura, making Vince's eyes widen.

"Rena...?"

"We're not going to stop until I'm satisfied!" Rena shouted as she charged towards him, nearly twice as fast as before.

She jumped as high as she could and brought her heel down, slamming it into the ground.

"Wha-?!" Vince barely had enough to react and jumped away out of pure instinct, but was blown away by the force of the attack.

As the smoke cleared up he stole a glance and saw the field completely in ruins with a large crater in the middle of it. Rena slowly walked out of the crater with an ominous aura radiating from her body. "Come on Vince, I know you're stronger than that. Fight me!"

Vince got up and shook his head. "Tch."

In a similar manner to Rena's aura, a lightning aura enveloped Vince's entire body. "I don't know what's gotten into you, but you're beginning to be a pain in the ass."

Rena giggled maliciously as she saw the aura around his body. "You're imitating my Senjutsu by using your Lightning Magic instead. That's good, very good. It means you won't go down that fast!"

Within a split second Rena vanished from Vince's sight and appeared in front of him. She aimed a kicked at his head, however he caught her foot with his hand and slammed her into the crater. "Don't get so cocky Rena, using Senjutsu doesn't make you unstoppable."

(Flashback: End)

Vince finished drinking his orange juice and placed the cup down on the table. (The fight was really close after that. Both of us were evenly matched, however it really took a toll on our bodies. If Yuji and Serena didn't intervene we would had much more damaging injuries.)

He stood up from his seat and turned to Serena. "Thanks for the breakfast it was pretty good."

Serena smiled and nodded. "Your welcome Vince."

Vince then turned to Rossweisse and Rena who were still eating. "I'll see you both in the afternoon, later."

"Will we be training later Vince?" Rena asked curiously.

"Yeah, after I finish my errands I'll spend the entire time training with you two." He answered.

"Please try to stay out of trouble." Rossweisse warned sighing a bit.

"No need to worry."

"That's when we worry the most Vince." Rena commented with Rossweisse nodding in agreement, much to the amusement of Serena and Yuji.

"Bite me." He picked up his plates, placed them in the kitchen sink and left the room.

xXxXxXxXxX

Vince walked down a street of a neighborhood, yawning a little. He looked around and saw that the neighborhood itself was a fairly average, it was decent place that wasn't very dirty, yet at the same time wasn't too clean. The buildings were somewhat old but not old enough to be falling apart. (This place hasn't changed much. It's almost like I never left.)

After seeing the nobody out in the streets, he looked at the Sacred Gear on the back of his hand. "Hey Yume."

[Yes Vince?] She spoke, answering him.

"Just wanted to see if you're there. You haven't talked much for a while." Vince commented.

[Oh, sorry about that. I've been preoccupied so I couldn't talk much, but I did see everything that happened.] Yume stated.

"What were you doing?" He asked curiously.

[I was looking over the power your Sacred Gear absorbed from Vali along with the boosts you absorbed from Issei and it gave some surprising results.] Yume spoke.

"And the results were...?" Vince trailed off, waiting for answer.

[The two powers merged abeit violently, hence the reason why you went through so much pain when you absorbed Vali's jewel and as a result, you were only able to tame half of that power.] She explained, causing his eyes to widen.

"Half?"

[Yes, half. You'll have to learn how to properly tame it. Preferably after you gain your true Balance Breaker instead of the incomplete one you have now. You noticed the disadvantage an incomplete Balance Breaker has, right?] Yume questioned.

"Yeah. It's takes a lot out of me to maintain, not to mention it's not really good for drawn-out battles." Vince responded, frowning a bit.

[Exactly. What are you going to do?] She asked curiously.

"Hmm..." Vince stopped walking and paused for a moment, deep in thought. He looked up at the clear sky and continued walking. "I'll continue on what I plan to do. My Balance Breaker isn't a necessity. As long as I avoid using it, it won't be an issue. Working on my profiency with the weapons I have and learning how to use the angel DNA my Sacred Gear has in a fight takes more priority."

[I see...]

Vince stopped walking as he rang the doorbell of a regular white house. (Mom's house...)

He turned towards the driveway and raised an eyebrow upon seeing a small black car with visible rust and mold on the side of the house. (That's not mom's car.)

After a few moments of waiting, Elena opened the door, wearing a black blouse, a pair of dark blue pants, and a pair of purple-black shoes. Her eyes widen upon seeing him. "Vince?"

His eyes then slightly narrowed upon seeing her skin slightly pale and bags underneath her eyes. "...Hey mom."

"It's nice to see you Vince, but why are you here?" Elena asked, giving him a hug.

"I wanted to check up on you." He said simply, returning the hug.

"Who's that at the door, Elena?" A man's voice spoke, gaining their attention.

Vince's eyes narrowed dangerously as a tall man skinny man with black hair and noticeable bald spot in the middle of his head. He wore a black t-shirt and pair of dark blue jeans, with white socks. (It's my uncle. ...That son of a bitch.)

"It's Vince, brother." Elena spoke smiling.

The man looked at Vince with a look of indifference. "Oh? You're back from Japan, already?"

Vince ignored his uncle and turned to his mother. "So how are you doing mom?"

"I'm doing well. But your uncle's here? Aren't you going to say hello to him?" Elena asked gesturing towards her brother.

"Not even if you pay me." He responded bluntly.

Elena sighed while the older man shrugged. "I see you haven't matured."

He ignored his uncle, much to the man's ire and went towards the table in the living room. Vince cringed in disgust as he saw the table sticky, along with the table cluttered with bread crumbs. "Disgusting. And I'm the immature one?"

A tickmark appeared on the older man as he glared at Vince. Elena looked at the both of them. "That's enough you two."

Vince then looked into kitchen and his eyes widen upon seeing the refrigerator and the countertop filled with French bread, some half open while the others closed. "I didn't know you were bread fanatic now, mom."

"It's not mine Vince, it's your uncle's." She corrected.

"Wow. And the place is dirty. Has he even been helping you clean, or helping at all?" Vince asked bluntly.

Elena remained silent and looked the other way as her brother went to Vince and glared at him. "I'm getting really tired of your mouth. You better watch it."

Vince however snorted. "Try not break your bones in the process old man."

"You've always been a dreamer. This old man can still kick your ass." He replied glaring fiercely at him.

"And you're a hypocrite. You talk bad about other people behind their backs you but easily accept their help, you want everything on a silver platter and if nothing goes your way, you lash out like a little kid with a temper tantrum. Isn't that right, uncle?" Vince mocked without skipping a beat.

The older man was about to move in close to Vince, however Elena got in between the two and gave them a stern look. "I am not going to let both of you fight in this house. If you either of are going to fight, then leave. Get it?"

"Got it." Vince spoke with a small smirk.

Vince's uncle grabbed his stuff and placed on a black baseball cap. "Call dad, I want him to pick me up."

He left the living room and went towards a room that lead towards the garage while muttering. "I'm sick of this fuckin' place."

"After all, you always did tell me not to dirty my hands with garbage." Vince commented, loud enough for his uncle to hear.

In response the door the garage was slammed loudly. Elena then turned towards him with a stern look. "Vince, why did you do that? You know I wanted to avoid trouble in this house."

"The trouble was already here to begin with. This place is a mess, you have bags underneath your eyes and this place is stocked up with bread you don't even eat. He's obviously taking advantage of you, while he stays here like a freeloader. I haven't been here for five minutes and I can already see that just by glancing the house." Vince countered.

Elena sighed and took a deep breath. "He's my brother Vince. He pissed off your grandparents and called me to pick him up, I can't leave him out on the streets."

"So? That's his problem for doing that, not mine. He knew what he was doing." Vince said as he walked towards the garage door, that was closed.

"What are you going to do Vince?" Elena asked frowning as she got her phone.

"Making things easier for me." He casually walked into a small and narrow room which had a boiler in the corner, next to it was a small washer machine and a small dryer machine across from the washer and the dryer machine was a small window of the backyard. Vince casually walked up a door that was just to the left of the boiler and locked the door while turning off the light switch to the garage, that was right next to the door.

Elena palmed her face after realizing what Vince just did, while he let off a smug grin. She motioned for him to come close and he sighed, but did just that.

"I already know all of that. I'm really tired of putting up with him, he constantly leaves messes behind and has me taking him every where he can think of. Not to mention, he acts like he owns the house. Your uncle was about to leave today either way. Even when you're not hear, he tries to blame it on you. I swear that guy's losing." Elena whispered, sounding both frustrated and tired.

Vince's eye twitched violently as a high concentration of electricity surged through his right hand. A small chirping sound was hear as he walked towards the garage. "I'm definitely going to give him a reason to blame me."

"Vince, stop." Elena roughly grabbed Vince's right hand, the high concentration of electricity vanished as the small chirping sound. "Don't dirty your hands with him. Besides, with the way he's acting. My brother is going to make his own life even more miserable."

"..."

"I'm going to call the old man. Please calm down in the meantime, I really don't need a fight in the house." Elena said as she dialed the numbers on her phone.

He nodded hesitantly and went near the garage. To his surprise and amusement, he heard a long banging noise coming from a door. "Turn on the light!"

Vince sat down on a chair nearby the dryer machine with a small smirk. "Music to my ears."

He looked through the window and saw the backyard freshly cut with several medium sized pepper and banana trees. (The trees sure grew a bit since I was gone. Last time I saw them they were hardly visible through the window.)

Ignoring the constant knocks on the door, Vince walked out of the laundry room and went towards Elena. "Called the old man yet?"

Elena nodded as she placed the phone in her pocket. "Yeah, I also called your grandmother and told her about his behavior."

Vince winced a bit but had a small grin on his face. "He's going to have to put up with her constant nagging."

"Yeah. That reminds me, why did you lock the garage door and turned off the lights?" Elena asked raising an eyebrow.

"I did for two reasons. I didn't want him to get any ideas of messing something up in the garage, like the car since he's a mechanic as for the second reason why, I wanted to rile him up a bit. I can't hurt him by your rules, so I'll settle for making his blood pressure go up." Vince explained with a smirk.

She shook her head at her son's antics but smiled. "You haven't changed a bit."

"I suppose? Anyway, since we're waiting for the old man to come in. I'll help clean up the place in the meantime. It's kinda gross." He commented bluntly.

An embarrassed look came across her face as she rubbed her temples. "I know. I wanted him to leave so I could start cleaning this house."

"Yeah I- Is that a sausage underneath the your recliner?" Vince asked pointing towards a beige colored recliner.

Her eyes narrowed as she looked underneath the recliner that was near the entrance door of the house. She bended down and placed her hand underneath it, Elena cringed in disgust as she pulled out a sausage, covered in dust. "You've got to be kidding me..."

Vince handed her a napkin to she took and placed the sausage inside. "You know, I already knew he was an asshole, but I didn't expect him to be a pig."

"You and me both..." Elena muttered as she got up and went to the kitchen. She tossed the napkin in the garbage and washed her hands in the sink thoroughly.

"Might as well get started. This should be over soon." Vince went towards the kitchen and opened a cabinet underneath the sink. He grabbed a bottle of soap and walked back towards the living room.

"Vince. What are you going to do?" Elena asked raising an eyebrow.

"Speed cleaning. Just stay out of the living room." He opened the bottle of soap and splashed it all over the floor, much to his mother's confusion.

Before she could open her mouth, Vince slammed his right hand into the floor as a large surge of water came out of his hands. Her eyes widened, with a gesture of his hand, the water along with the soap to move from side to the side thoroughly cleaning the floors and the corners. "This should be done soon mom. Just get a bucket ready."

"Yeah. But there's one thing-" Elena pointed towards a blue sofa in the living room, the bottom of the sofa itself was drenched in soap and water. "How are you going to remove the water? The sofa or the floor can't take water very well."

"I'll remove the moisture from the sofa and the floor. The moisture does contain water after all." Vince answered as the water around the living room started spinning around at a fast pace.

To his and Elena's slight disgust, the two noticed that the water in spinning around in the living room turned pitch black, filled with various food crumbs.

Elena placed the bucket on the floor as Vince motioned for the water to go inside the bucket. The water formed into a sphere in the middle of the living room, holding all of the dirt and crumbs in it. The sphere then went into the bucket and dispersed in the bucket, not leaving a single trace. "All done."

"Very good Vince. You really improved on your skill with water magic." She complemented, looking around the clean living room.

"Thanks, I had to do stuff like that back in Kuoh. I didn't like my place getting dirty like that. All that's left is the living room, the bathroom, the laundry and the bedrooms, right?" Vince asked.

"Yeah. While you do that, I'll clean and fix the furniture a bit." Elena commented.

"Alright."

xXxXxXxXxX

Vince wiped the small amount of sweat from his face as he brought the sphere of water from the bedrooms into the bathroom. He carefully placed it in the toilet and flushed it. "Finally done. It took twenty minutes."

Elena then walked towards her son. "I'm finished, how are you doing?"

"I just finished myself. Is grandpa here yet?" Vince asked sounding slightly impatient.

"No. If I had to take a guess, he's taking his time." She answered sighing a little.

"Great..."

"Are you going to see him?" Elena questioned.

"...I might as well. Just to get it out of the way." He spoke, placing a hand through his hair.

The phone started ringing getting their attention, Elena looked at the caller I.D. and sighed. "It's the old man. ...About time."

She then picked up the phone and answered the call.

(It's kinda funny seeing mom like this. Even I can see the resemblance between me and her. Only her family members can get her to act like this, she's usually calm and collected.) Vince thought with a small smile.

Elena hung up her phone with an annoyed look. "He sounds irritated from having to pick up my brother, but that's not my problem. At least he's here."

"I'll go open up the garage and by extension the door to the garage from the laundry room. Though, I won't have my uncle set foot in that room. I just finished cleaning the place." He commented, frowning a bit.

"Fair enough."

The two walked towards the laundry room. He turned on the light on the garage and swiftly opened the door. Unfortunately that cause the door to slam into the back of Vince's uncle.

"Aaaah! What the hell?!" He shouted rubbing his head and back in pain.

"Oops. My hand slipped." Vince answered in an unsympathetic tone, causing Elena to shake her head.

"Hrrr... why was the door and the garage light turned off?" The man asked haughtily.

"I didn't want you to be a burden to me so I turned off the light switch and locked the garage door." Vince explained nonchalantly.

Before the man could respond, Vince pressed a button in the garage door that raised the garage, the garage itself slowly raised up making a loud humming and squeaking noise that drowned out his voice, much to his dismay.

Elena on the other hand turned the other way with her hand covering her mouth, trying her best not to laugh.

xXxXxXxXxX

Author's Notes: I know this chapter is a bit short compared to the others but that's because I decided to split the chapter in half. It's been a long time since I've updated and I don't want keep the chapter this long. On the upside, I can definitely say that the next chapter will be the last one in the arc, which means that the Underworld arc will begin. Next chapter won't take as long as this chapter.

I decided to add Vince seeing a family relative of his, in addition to his mother to give a sense of how distorted his relationship is. As shown, Vince can be really rebellious when he wants to be.

There is an reason on how Elena was able to stop Vince's Lightning magic, which will be explained in the next chapter.

Again I apologize for the long wait and the decision to split the chapter in half but I wanted to give an update on the chapter, it's been way too long since there was an update. That's all I have to say for now, let me know what you think about the chapter and take care.
