Chapter 22. A Half-breed's First Party

"He's not up yet?"

Raditz glanced to the living room. "No. He's still asleep." He responded as he looked back to the young warrior. Gohan was curled up in his bed, his head hidden under the sheets.

"Wake him up!" Vegeta snarled in response.

Raditz made a face. "Always making me do the work." He muttered to himself as he headed for the bed. "Half-breed. Time to get up." He nudged the young warrior but Gohan didn't move. Raditz gave a somewhat harder nudge but Gohan still didn't move.

Letting out a deep sigh, Raditz went to grab the pillow but Gohan held onto it. "Half-breed!" Raditz complained.

"Let me sleep." Gohan murmured as he hugged his pillow. Noticing the view of the young teenager cuddling the pillow, Raditz stepped back when a strange feeling ran through his body, making the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. The man frowned as he studied the young warrior. What the hell was going on here?

"What are you doing?" Vegeta snarled when he noticed Raditz was standing in the room, staring at the half-saiyan.

Raditz shook his head to shake off the trance. "He won't wake up." He responded.

"I've got just the treatment for stubborn little brats." Vegeta stepped closer to the foot end of the bed and his tail untangled itself from his waist. Raditz watched as Vegeta's tail slipped under the sheets and a moment later Gohan's entire body was literally dragged from the bed. Sitting on the ground, Gohan glared up at Vegeta while the man's tail released Gohan's ankle.

"Time to get up." Vegeta said almost sweetly before he headed back to the living room.

"You could have been a little bit nicer about it." Gohan muttered as he pushed his body up into a standing position.

Raditz smiled as he studied the young warrior. "Let's get ready for training." He stated as he gave Gohan an encouraging push to the doorway.

"Yeah Yeah." Gohan shrugged Raditz's push off before heading towards the bathroom. Raditz crossed his arms over each other as he studied the young warrior.

Vegeta approached from Raditz's side. "Next time I expect you to drag him out by his hair if he refuses to listen to your orders." He stated, frowning at the older warrior.

Raditz turned to his squad leader. "He's just tired. Our days are long and…" Raditz stopped talking when Vegeta held up his hand to silence him.

"Stop cuddling him." Vegeta snarled. "He's not your lost brother. Do not treat him as such. He's a filthy hybrid, remember?"

"That's not true. You know it." Raditz glanced to the bathroom to make sure that Gohan wasn't listening but the bathroom door was closed.

"Maybe I should take the boy in my room for a while. Make sure you're not getting too close to each other." Vegeta snarled as he looked to the bathroom as well.

"Go ahead." Raditz's voice lowered to a whisper when the door to the bathroom opened and Gohan emerged. The young warrior was oblivious to their conversation as he headed for the kitchen to grab something to eat. "As if I care."

Vegeta held Raditz's gaze for a moment before he scoffed and headed for the kitchen as well. Raditz blew out a sigh. This seemed to be the first time he successfully bluffed in front of Vegeta. It actually felt quite good.

Gohan licked his lips as he eyed the freshly prepared soup. It had Vegeta written all over it. Whenever the man could not sleep, he would go to the kitchen and whip something edible up. He maintained that cooking allowed him to think. Vegeta sat down at the table and reached out to grab his share. Raditz tousled Gohan's hair before he sat down next to the young warrior.

Gohan waited impatiently for the others to fill their plate before he reached out to fill his own. One aspect of life outside of camp that Gohan appreciate was the food. Back in camp, the food was prepared by the cadets. This often meant that it tasted disgusting.

Gohan smiled as he thought back to the days spent in the kitchen, forced by the camp to prepare large amounts of food for the other cadets.

*** Flashback ***

Nine-year-old Gohan chopped up purple fruits that were supposed to be good for the soldiers. He just considered them disgusting. They were expected to throw these fruits in a large cauldron together with several other supposedly healthy and filling products so that they could create a disgusting stew that would be served practically every day.

The young warrior placed the knife on the counter and turned to his friends. Oriko and Judin were both obediently doing their own task. However, Gohan didn't feel like doing his chore anymore. "Let's get out of here." He stated.

Judin glanced over his shoulder. "I'm not done yet."

"I doubt you're done already." Oriko added as he turned to the young half-saiyan. "We still have a bunch of vegetables and fruits to prepare for supper."

"I'm done here. I want to go." Gohan said as he stepped closer to his friends. "Let's get out of here."

"We can't just leave everything like this." Judin responded, making a face at his friend. "We're going to get in trouble."

"Who is going to stop us?" Gohan looked to the guards only to receive glares from the adults.

"Get back to your place, monkey." One of the guards snarled at the young warrior. "Or we're calling the specialists on you."

Gohan grinned as he stepped closer to the guards. Judin and Oriko exchanged glances before simultaneously letting out a sigh. As if they could stop Gohan when the young warrior was in the mood for a fight. "Do you really think those softies can scare me?"

"I've been called many things…" All the young cadets looked to the doorway when they heard the gruff voice but none of the faces were as shocked as Gohan's face. Hitora's dark eyes shined with amusement as he headed inside. "… but softy is definitely not one of them."

The guards parted to let Hitora through and the man stopped right in front of the half-saiyan, placing his fists on his hips and leaning over the young warrior. "Did you lose the way to your spot, Saiyan?"

Gohan lowered his gaze and turned around to walk back to where the rest of the vegetables were waiting for him to cut them up. The young warrior ignored the jabs of the guards about Gohan suddenly not having such a big mouth anymore. The young warrior kept himself from pointing out that they wouldn't be such loudmouths if Hitora wasn't there. Everyone knew that Gohan could easily take the guards on. That's why the specialists tended to watch over Gohan when the young warrior had to do chores.

Hitora leaned against the counter that Gohan was working at but kept a distance so he wouldn't get in the way of the preparations. After a brief silence in which only the sounds of the preparations could be heard; a combination of vegetables and fruits being snapped apart, the water of the stew boiling and the metal-ish clangs of cutlery and pans slamming against each other, Hitora glanced sideways to the half-saiyan.

"What were you planning on doing after leaving the kitchen?" Hitora asked.

Gohan shrugged. "Nothing really. I just got a little bored and wanted to…"

"Stir things up." Oriko and Judin responded in perfect unison. Gohan sent the other cadets a glare but the two didn't even look at the half-saiyan.

Hitora smiled in response to this bit and he shrugged. "Well, nothing less could be expected of you. You tend to want to spice things up."

"Always." Oriko and Judin responded in the same tone and perfectly timed once more.

Gohan made a face at his friends this time. "Who could blame me for wanting to have fun in this dreadful place? At least I'm making your lives a lot more interesting." He stated before turning to his chore again.

"We know." Oriko responded quietly. "And despite your tendencies for trouble, we wouldn't want to live here without you, right?" Oriko looked at Judin.

"Right." Judin nodded in response.

Gohan exchanged a brief smile with his friends. "Likewise."

*** Present time ****

The young warrior lowered his gaze and smiled as he thought about his friends. He wondered where they were now. Probably still at camp. He found himself silently wishing he could see how they were doing. Were they training in the practice room? Were they messing around in the fields of the camp? Were they sharing their breakfast in the mess hall, driving the guards crazy with their pranks or running away from the specialists? Doing all the things they used to do with Gohan right there among them?

A heavy feeling settled in his stomach as he thought about his friends. His eyes suddenly started burning, his gaze went blurry. The young warrior blinked the watery substance away. What the hell was he doing? Feeling sorry for himself? Stupid child. Such a waste of time.

Gohan looked around to make sure nobody noticed his little almost mental breakdown. Everyone was still busy eating though. No attention given to him at all. The young warrior lowered his gaze again. No more self-pity. He had a task to do. He needed to free himself from this world. Once and for all.

"Not hungry?" Raditz asked as he glanced at the young warrior.

Gohan looked up and shrugged. "I'm still waking up." He responded, managing to send a quick glare to Vegeta. The man ignored him just as hard.

"You're going to school today, right?" Nappa asked, looking to the young warrior.

Gohan nodded once. "Just for a couple of hours."

"We'll be in the training room when you get back. You know where to find us." Vegeta responded. He was obviously still disapproving of Gohan's wish to attend school but Vegeta allowed it for now.

"I know." Gohan responded. He knew very well.

**** DBZ **** DBZ ****

"Hiya hot stuff!"

An arm hooked around Gohan's shoulders as the boy was just putting his books in his locker. The young warrior glanced sideways to his classmate. Honestly, he didn't know how it happened but he actually managed to make some form of friends on this school thing. He only went because he wanted to spend some time away from his comrades. Aside from that he quickly learned that at this school he could access the intergalactic web and that medium was everything he needed to learn anything about the Planet Trade Organization, the network of the Space Pods and most especially, the parts of the universe that were not in the hands of Frieza's empire.

"Morning." Gohan responded briefly. "What do you want?"

"That cold shoulder could use a warm hug." Biku responded before wrapping her other arm around his shoulders and hugging his side.

Gohan took a deep breath to calm down. Maybe if he started killing everyone in sight women would stop hugging him… Then again, that probably wouldn't leave him with many friends. "Please release me." He muttered.

Biku snickered before releasing the young warrior and stepping back. "You should loosen up. A soldier with your looks will definitely get a lot of hugging and kissing from women. Right now you're just plain adorable but I can definitely see you getting hot in the future."

Gohan glanced sideways. It wasn't the first time he was called adorable. His friends back at camp used to call him that all the time. However, when Judin or Oriko called him adorable it always seemed denigrating to the half-saiyan, but right now it felt more like a compliment. A positive comment? He wasn't necessarily used to getting that from others.

The half-saiyan closed his locker. "Let's just focus on the here and now, okay?" Gohan turned and headed for his next class, hoping Biku would get the hint.

"Sure." Biku followed the half-saiyan and started walking next to him. "We're having a party tonight. Join us."

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"I'm not allowed to go out by myself." Gohan knew Biku was aware of his situation so he figured he might as well be honest.

"Hmmm…" Biku pretended to think hard. "I've got an idea. It's something all teenagers have to resort to when they're stuck with strict parents." She leaned in and whispered in his ear: "Sneak out."

Gohan chuckled. "The only difference is that those teenagers will only get in somewhat trouble after sneaking out. Vegeta, on the other hand, will break every bone in my body if he finds out I snuck out." The young warrior shook his head. "I'd like to stay in one piece longer than a week for once, thank you."

"Okay." Biku pulled the scouter from Gohan's ear and typed something in before handing it back to him. "That's the address. Party starts at eight. I'll see you there." She sent him one last grin before turning away and heading in a different direction.

Gohan put the scouter on and stared at the address for a moment before putting the scouter back to the homepage. The young warrior made a face. "Why do I keep hanging out with the wrong people?" He groaned to himself. They were only getting him in more trouble and he was good enough at that on his own…

After several hours of studying at school Gohan headed for the training rooms. He figured the others managed to get their own private training room. They tended to scare other soldiers away whenever they wanted some privacy.

Gohan followed the sensation of his comrades until he ended up in a modest training room. There he briefly stood still as he studied the three battling saiyans. They'd been at it since Gohan left for school this morning. It was easy to see as the sweat was dripping down their faces.

One thing Gohan noticed was that they were incredibly fast. The young warrior watched as Vegeta and Raditz exchanged punches in high speed until finally Vegeta managed to push through Raditz's defence and punched the older saiyan full on his cheek. Were they always this fast? Were they also this fast when Gohan joined them in their training? He couldn't imagine being this fast himself. The young warrior frowned when he realized how self-conscious he suddenly felt. He hated that the others could make him feel like that.

Vegeta glanced sideways and frowned when he realized the young warrior was present. "Half-breed. How long are you planning on standing there?" He snarled. "Afraid to join us?"

"Of course. At his level, he should be." Nappa added cheerfully.

Gohan took a deep breath. Jerks. The young warrior shrugged. "Just enjoying the view. Don't feel like coming up any time soon."

"I think that's what they call cold feet these days." Vegeta said, thinking out loud. Raditz and Nappa were busy facing each other in a combat but that didn't mean they could not mingle in the conversation, especially now that Vegeta wasn't actively participating in the match, they could take it somewhat easy.

The half-saiyan glanced from the saiyan prince to the other two and back to Vegeta. "I know you guys too well to be afraid of fighting you. Typical Ikoma in Wolfa's clothes." He countered lightly. Ikomas were small furry animals that were known for being docile and sweet natured while Wolfas were hostile carnivores.

A smirk appeared on Vegeta's face. "Then why are you still standing there?"

Good question.

Gohan focused his energy almost without even thinking about it and forced his body to levitate and fly up to Vegeta's level. The Saiyan prince made a show of sighing and wiping non-existent sweat off his forehead. "Finally." He stated.

The half-saiyan attacked without warning. This was something he would not even consider doing when he was still back in camp but his saiyan acquaintances performed these surprise attacks all the time. In the beginning it still caught Gohan off guard. Now Gohan knew to be prepared at all times.

Sadly for Gohan, Vegeta knew this as well. The man even had time to broaden his smirk as he moved up his hands to block Gohan's first punch. Vegeta made a tutting sound as he shook his head in a patronizing manner. Gohan could feel the familiar heat rising up in his chest as he watched Vegeta mock him. One day the roles would be reversed. Gohan was sure of that.

This thought fuelled his strength and the half-saiyan powered up in order to kick Vegeta's side. Vegeta moved up his leg to block Gohan's kick and the two muscled knees met in mid-air. Gohan's eyes caught movement and he moved up his arm just in time to block Vegeta's tail. The tail instead smacked against his naked arm and left a bright red mark. The half-saiyan disregarded the pain in his arm, knowing the pain caused by the mark on his cheek would have been worse if Vegeta's attack would have landed on the intended target.

Besides, there were more important things to focus on. Vegeta was on the move. The man pushed Gohan back and moved up his fist to punch the half-saiyan. Gohan tilted his head sideways to avoid the punch and used this close-up moment to try to knee the man in his stomach. The half-saiyan was actually surprised when this attack pulled through. Vegeta coughed out some air that was residing in his lungs before a force smashed into his cheek.

Vegeta was thrown backwards by the force but managed to stabilize his position in the air before he lost too much height. The man felt a wet sensation on his cheek and moved up his hand to feel his cheek, drawing his hand back to find red stains on his fingers.

"Don't underestimate me, Vegeta." Gohan stated, earning Vegeta's attention. The man looked up from his hand and met Gohan's eyes. "It's such a waste of my time."

The Saiyan prince showed a smirk as he nodded. "I am just making sure you survive every match that you have with me. If I take you on with my full strength you might shatter to pieces."

"You and I both know that's not true." Gohan shot back. "Besides, don't you keep saying you need to bring me up to your speed? How can I reach your level when you're not even on it when fighting me?"

Vegeta didn't respond right away. He held Gohan's gaze for a moment before he shrugged. "Fine. Have it your way then." He powered up to his max, watching how Gohan's expression changed in a negative way.

Gohan forced his doubts away and focused his power. He knew Vegeta was strong. However, the man was not unbeatable. And if Gohan wanted to gain strength fast, he needed to be damaged greatly as often as he could.

Vegeta raised his eyebrows and motioned for the half-saiyan to attack him. Gohan took a deep breath before he shot towards the man, attacking him head on.

**** One Long and Bloody Training Session Later ****

"I don't think your eye can get any more blue." Nappa stated as he studied the damaged skin around Gohan's left eye.

"We'll find out during our next training session, won't we?" Vegeta added sweetly.

Raditz placed his finger under Gohan's chin and pushed the boy's face up. "I think the blue matches your innocent baby brown eyes." He teased while Gohan pulled away.

"Blue on the eyes, red on the lips." Nappa stated cheerfully. "We'll make you look beautiful, kiddo."

Gohan scoffed as his comrades chuckled in amusement. "Enjoying ourselves, are we?"

"We just dote on you." Nappa responded as he tousled Gohan's hair playfully. Gohan made a face. Yeah right.

After a much-needed lunch, Gohan was wiping the table and kitchen counter. The young warrior finished up wiping the counter before briefly holding the cloth under the running water and putting it away.

Gohan hesitated for a moment before heading over to the others. "Hey Vegeta." He started off. The man didn't show any sign that he was listening so Gohan decided to continue. "Can I ask you something?"

"Must you?"

The half-saiyan brushed Vegeta's difficult attitude aside. Nothing he hadn't encountered before. "There is a party tonight. And I was wondering if I could go." No response. "So… Can I?"

Vegeta finally looked up at the young warrior. "Why are you being such a bother today?"

Gohan didn't expect a question like that. "I was just hoping…"

"Do you really think I'm going to let you go to a stupid party?" Vegeta snarled in response. "Have we been hitting you in the head too often, half-breed? Or maybe we haven't been hitting you enough lately." Vegeta made a face as he turned back to his paperwork. "I'll make sure to change that from now on."

"It's just a party." Gohan tried again. "No drinking, no drugs. I'll be there for a couple of hours and I'll be back in no time."

"Nappa, will you get that newly acquired belt for me please?" Vegeta stated without looking up.

Gohan stepped back while Nappa got up and headed for the room he shared with Vegeta. The half-saiyan took back another step as he recalled the afternoon that Vegeta bought the belt. At the time, Gohan was testing the boundaries of the others and Vegeta was barking at the young warrior to behave until at one point Gohan reached out to grab a shirt and Vegeta smacked against the young warrior's hand with a black belt. Gohan let out a yelp of surprise and Vegeta decided to buy the belt for future punishment.

"Half-breed, take off your uniform." Vegeta said once Nappa returned with the belt. The man took the belt from Nappa and placed his papers on the table before getting up.

Gohan now took several steps back and extended his hands forwards in order to stop Vegeta. "I just asked a question. I didn't do anything wrong." He complained.

"Come here, half-breed. Such distance will make this so much more difficult." Vegeta responded as he studied the young warrior. The man motioned for the half-saiyan to come closer and Gohan stumbled back again in response.

"Okay okay! I'm not going. I'm sorry for even asking." Gohan snarled as he stepped back again. "Geez."

Vegeta only motioned for the half-saiyan to approach him. Gohan shook his head. "I said I was sorry!" He responded. Vegeta continued to give him a hard stare. The young warrior took a deep breath. "I'm not going to let you punish me for this." Vegeta only motioned for Gohan to come closer again. Gohan frowned as he stepped closer to the man until he was within touching distance.

The half-saiyan seemed to realize his pending doom as he had his gaze lowered to the ground in a submissive attitude that the others were not used to getting from him. Vegeta realized that Gohan was tiring of the constant battles. Good. That was exactly what Vegeta wanted.

Gohan visibly flinched when Vegeta placed a hand on his shoulder. The half-saiyan looked up. "Put this back in my room for me, will you?" Vegeta said sweetly as he held out the belt for Gohan.

The half-saiyan's gaze turned angry as he realized that Vegeta was just messing with him. The young warrior snatched the belt out of his hand and, ignoring the laughing Nappa, stalked to Vegeta's room in order to put it in the closet there.

Several hours later, Gohan was lying awake in his bed. The young warrior glanced to his uncle, who was turned away from him, fast asleep.

Gohan glanced at the window and frowned at the bars. He hated those black bars, put there only to keep the half-saiyan inside. The young warrior let out a deep sigh as he looked up at the ceiling again. Stuck here while he could be out having fun at a party. The young warrior frowned when a thought hit him and he decided to check whether his suspicions were true or not.

Getting up, Gohan silently grabbed his uniform, armour and boots. He tiptoed to the living room where he gave a glance into Vegeta and Nappa's room. Bingo. Their window did not have any bars. Probably because they assumed Gohan was too scared to sneak passed Vegeta. Think again.

The young warrior was extremely silent as he stepped away from the two bedrooms so that he could slip into his uniform, armour and boots with less risk of getting caught. After that he did a quick prayer to whatever god was ruling this universe before he headed to the room Nappa and Vegeta shared. He held his breath as he walked to the window and very slowly opened it.

Flashes of Vegeta's angry face and earlier punishments almost made the half-saiyan stop and turn back to the safety of his bed. But he could not stop now. He was not afraid of Vegeta because of a few punishments and he was going to prove it to himself right now. Once he was floating outside, he slowly and carefully pushed against the window until it was nearly closed. Luckily, the weather was good. No wind that could push the window closed.

Was this a good idea? No, probably not. Would he get in trouble? Knowing Gohan he would. But he would think about that when the time came. In mid-air, Gohan pulled on his boots and slipped into his armour. After that he flew down to the address Biku gave him earlier that day.

The half-saiyan made a face as he lowered his gaze to the ground. He was in so much trouble if his comrades found out he was gone. He wondered how he was going to get into the party as he walked down the street. However, he could already hear the music from afar. The young warrior saw people standing around in the front garden of the house, groups of teenagers hanging out, talking, and laughing. The atmosphere was so… relaxed.

Gohan didn't really know how to behave as he headed for the front door. The door opened automatically, leaving Gohan thinking it would be very easy to break in here if this was always the case, and revealed a crowded hallway. More teenagers were spread out in groups, talking and dancing to the music that blasted out of the speakers in the living room.

The half-saiyan hesitantly walked to the spacy living quarters and looked around. Where were his classmates? Wasn't this supposed to be a party thrown by one of his acquaintances? Why didn't he recognize anyone here?

"Gohan!"

The half-saiyan tried not to look relieved as he turned around and was instantly hugged by Biku. "You're here!" She stated cheerfully. Gohan caught sight of her outfit and he widened his eyes briefly. Whereas Biku dressed properly when going to school, right now her violet top ended just below her bust, revealing the outline of her lower ribs and her naturally flat stomach. Gohan's eyes lowered to the skimpy black shorts and violet belt around her hips. He'd never seen a woman dressed like that and it confused him. It wasn't that warm, was it? Well, he did actually feel quite warm right now.

Biku didn't notice Gohan's eyes as she turned and waved to someone else. "Kwana! Over here!"

Gohan looked up and saw a woman who looked somewhat older than Biku heading in their direction. Kwana was an older version of Biku. Her hair was a lighter shade than Biku's hair and her blond highlights seemed gold in this lighting. Kwana was wearing a low-cut black dress of which the skirt waved cheerfully as she walked. "Who is this?" She looked at Gohan.

Biku threw an arm around the young warrior. "This is the boy I told you about. Gohan."

Kwana was looking at the half-saiyan and she tilted her head. "How old are you?" She asked as she frowned.

The young warrior considered this question. "Eleven." He responded.

"Eleven?" Kwana repeated. She turned to Biku. "He's eleven? You can't take a kid to these parties!" She chastised.

Biku shrugged. "Look at him. Can you blame me?" She stated.

Kwana's eyes fell on Gohan again and she let out a sigh. "Point taken. Keep an eye on him though. These things can get rough." She stated.

Biku grinned. "No problem." She said cheerfully.

Kwana gave Gohan one more look. "Have fun, jailbait." She stated before she turned around and was gone before Gohan could even think of a response.

Biku smiled as she turned to Gohan. "Let's go get you a drink and then we'll look for the others. We've got so much fun planned!"

The drink Biku pushed in his hands made Gohan's throat feel warm and he wasn't sure why. The young warrior decided not to drink too much of the blue liquid. Together with Biku he headed for a room where their classmates were hanging out. Biku left him there with some other classmates while she went ahead to search for other lost friends.

Gohan found it strangely easy to talk to the others. It was almost as if the regular restrictions in his mind were hazy. The regular sober voice in his mind that usually told him he didn't need to make friends was quite silent as he spoke to boys and girls from his classes.

It was not long before Biku returned with a few more classmates and they all gathered around and sat down on the ground in a circle. Gohan followed the example of the others, not knowing exactly what they were doing.

"Spin the bottle." Biku sat back and grinned at the half-saiyan. "It will be fun. Trust me."

Gohan watched as one of the girls emptied a bottle in her mouth and then placed it in the middle of their circle. The half-saiyan took a deep breath when she reached over and gave the bottle a spin. The young warrior noticed the anticipation on the faces of the others as the bottle spun around and around until it slowly stopped and pointed to one of the boys.

The girl who spun the bottle smiled broadly as she moved over to the dark boy. Gohan widened his eyes when the two exchanged a kiss. The half-saiyan felt somewhat uncomfortable when he realized what exactly this game was going to entail for him. As the girl moved back to her place, Gohan let his gaze wander over the group until his eyes met Biku's gaze. She held his gaze and gave him a playful wink. Gohan smiled in response, lowering his gaze.

The dark-skinned boy with long blue hair was now spinning the bottle. The others laughed cheerfully when the bottle pointed to another boy. Gohan studied the green-tinted boy as the two boys moved closer to each other and exchanged a somewhat hurried kiss. The half-saiyan watched the gentle blushes on the cheeks of the boys and realized he was somewhat amused too.

The boy with a light green skin leaned over to spin the bottle. He brushed through his short yellow hair and his whiskers moved as he pursed his lips in anticipation. The bottle pointed at Biku and the girl beckoned the alien boy. Biku placed a hand on the back of the boy's head as they kissed.

As the boy moved away, Biku reached over to spin the bottle. As Gohan was used to anticipating movements, he realized where the bottle was going to land long before the bottle actually stopped. The half-saiyan could not help but look worried when the bottle pointed right at him. What was he supposed to do now?

Luckily, Biku knew exactly what to do. The young girl crawled over to him and smiled as she leaned over and pressed her lips to his mouth. Gohan was frozen in his spot for a moment. What the hell was happening? He wasn't sure what to do but he did something. The half-saiyan found his mouth responding to her touch. Without realizing it he had his eyes closed, lost in a world that revolved only around him and Biku.

"Time's up!" One of the boys called out.

Gohan opened his eyes and went to pull away but Biku shook her head and absentmindedly waved at her friends. "I'm not done yet." She muttered before she leaned in again and continued the kiss.

This time Gohan was somewhat annoyed by her dominant gesture and he decided that he could play at this game too. The half-saiyan placed his hand against her hip and before his classmates knew it she was lying on her back. Gohan straddled her hips, placed a hand behind her head and gently pushed her up so they could kiss once more. A hand curled into his black hair and Gohan realized Biku had placed one hand on the ground to support her body.

Gohan wasn't entirely sure when it happened but at some point Biku's tongue tapped against his lips gently. At first Gohan wasn't sure what he was supposed to do. Was he supposed to tap back? Was that something they did? The half-saiyan felt awfully ignorant as he opened his lips and went to tap her lips back. However, her tongue met his in mid-stride and Gohan suddenly knew this was supposed to happen. He decided not to think about it too much and just let it happen.

And happen it did.

The teenagers around them started to cheer them on until Gohan finally pulled back, somewhat tired out by this new experience.

Biku fell back with an exaggerated sigh. "Saiyans." She sighed out as she glanced at her friends. "The rumours are so true."

Gohan got off her. "What rumours?"

Biku grinned as she got up. "True warriors, in every aspect of their lives." The young woman winked at him before she headed back to her spot and sat down. "It's your turn, big boy."

Gohan realized he'd forgotten that he had to spin the bottle now. The young warrior leaned over and gave the bottle a gentle spin. The neck of the bottle pointed at the girl with long blond hair and eyes that were smaller than Gohan's finger nails. The half-saiyan noticed the glances exchanged between Biku and the blond girl and he took a deep breath as he went to crawl over to her. This was going to be the strangest way of meeting new people.

**** Several fun hours later ****

The party was not done yet at all. Teenagers were spread all over the area, laughing, dancing and hanging around. Some were scattered on the couches and sofas, chatting, making out or simply lying in each other's arms.

One couple was lying on a comfortable bouncy sofa. The couple had been lying there for a while now, exchanging kisses whenever they got tired of chatting, or was it the other way around?

Biku chewed on her lower lip as she studied the young half-saiyan. She leaned in to press a kiss on his nose. "You're adorable."

Gohan frowned in response. "I'm sure if that's a compliment." He countered. It certainly wasn't whenever one of his comrades called him that.

"It is. Trust me." Biku leaned in to press another kiss on his lips. Her arm wrapped around his shoulders and pulled him closer as they kissed. "I'm glad you're here. Life got a little boring around here before you appeared."

Gohan realized that part of him was happy to be here. He was happy to be in the arms of the young woman in front of him. Happy to have spent this night with his… friends? Were they friends? He kissed most of them today. It was the strangest relationship to have. Most girls returned to him even after the game to invite him to a game of kissing. Biku was the one to finally steal him away and bring him here, telling the others that they could get a shot at the half-saiyan later but not tonight.

It was just a game to them. A temporary distraction from reality. And Gohan realized he was okay with that. He couldn't care less if Biku suddenly turned away from him and refused to ever kiss him again. He didn't even care if he would never see her again, though he would miss her like he would miss his regular friends, but nothing more than that.

Was that what his comrades did when they visited the pleasure quarters? Gohan looked down at Biku, who was now pressing sweet little kisses all over his neck. Relax? This was relaxing. Man, did this feel good.

He remembered how the young woman who worked at the pleasure quarters, Shania, told him that she granted the wishes of men. Was this a wish that would be granted? Kisses? Or was there more?

Gohan was distracted when Biku tapped on his nose. "Hey! Contact! Woman who desires your attention over here."

The half-saiyan lowered his gaze to her once more. "Sorry. It's been a long day." He responded as he smiled at her.

"Let's make it even longer." Biku's eyes glinted cheerfully as she caressed his cheek. "I'm home alone tonight. Why don't you come over to my house?"

Gohan considered this offer. "Sure." He already sneaked out. It didn't matter if he went home a little later.

Biku grinned and she leaned in to kiss him once more. The two pulled each other closer one last time, knowing that they were going to leave this place after this so they might as well make this the best one yet.

However, a deep voice interrupted their last round of kisses.

"Well well… Out of all the places I would expect to find you…."
