Title: what i never thought i'd have
Summary: He never thought he'd be so happy hearing the news of Sakura's lateness.
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto.
Prompt: Late
Rating: K+ (just because I used the word sex)
Warning(s): none.
Comments: This idea came to me so instantly after I saw the prompt. Also, very Sasuke-centric, with some brotp bonding time with him and Naruto because I couldn't help it. But the rest is utter SasuSaku fluff.

"That was a dirty trick, teme!"

Sasuke snorted, rolling his eyes and spitting out blood. "We never set down any rules so I don't know what the hell you're complaining about," he said flatly, wiping his mouth. Pushing himself up, he started dusting off his clothes before he went on, "Besides, it's a spar—how the hell do you want to practice fighting real enemies if we don't fight the same way they do?"

Naruto snarled, "That's not fair and you know it!"

He gave him an unimpressed look in response. "Are your enemies gonna be fair?"

Scowling, the blond said, "That's not the point, teme! You can't just—"

Growing tired of his annoying tirade, Sasuke threw him a towel, and reached for the two water bottles in his pack, grumbling incoherently. Walking over to the pouting man, he sighed, before handing him one of the bottles and shrugging. "Here," he said. "I know you forgot to bring yours."

It was a habit of his, he noticed. Either Naruto was always this forgetful, too excited, or he just didn't think he'd actually need one after his spars, assuming himself to be this tough ninja with the best endurance. It was almost comical, because Naruto was actually one of the shinobis most prone to thirst that Sasuke had ever come to know.

(And he'd never admit it, but it was him who brought extra water along, out of consideration and care for his best friend. But he just always said it was Sakura who put them there.)

"I don't need your pity water," the sulking blond scoffed, crossing his arms in a childish fashion. "You're probably only giving it to me cause' it's warm or some shit like that."

Annoyed, Sasuke pressed the cold water bottle to his forehead and pinched the bridge of his nose, before rolling his eyes again and muttering, "You know, you're a pretty sore loser, dobe."

"Am not," the other protested, frowning and pouting all the more. "You're just a cheating bastard."

"Can't cheat where there aren't any rules."

"Whatever," Naruto scoffed, snatching the water at his feet and shooting him a warning look, as if daring him to say anything about him giving him to his thirst.

He merely smirked in reply, looking triumphant. It seemed he wasn't the only one prideful in their duo.

And then suddenly, moments later as they both stood up and prepared to continue their spar, they were interrupted by a shrill, happy cry.

"Sasuke!"

Turning his head sharply, he barely had the time to even turn around before he was tackled by a storm of pink and red and green, and was sent tumbling to the ground from the sheer force of the attack. Grunting sharply, he squinted his eyes open and instinctively pulled Sakura closer to him, shifting his hands to the small of her back. He'd taken the brunt of the fall, it seemed, but Sasuke couldn't find it in himself to be bothered when she was straddling him like that, with the most joyous grin, her forest green eyes glowing with absolute pride and happiness.

"Sakura," he groaned, moving his hands to the floor to prop himself up. "What are you doing h—"

A strong push against his chest made him grunt, and once again, he found himself to the floor. Sakura didn't give him time to say anything as she kissed his lips and pulled back to laugh joyfully, before she exclaimed, "I'm late!"

Confusion struck him. Late? What the fuck was she late for? he wondered, rubbing the back of his head. And why would you be happy being late for anything?

Slowly, and with heavily furrowed eyebrows, he asked, "What are you talking about?"

Her lips pressed to his nose, then, and she laughed once more, cupping his face gently and grinning. "Sasuke," she said. "I'm late."

He blinked again, still puzzled as ever, but the moment she giggled stared down pointedly at her stomach, his eyes widened in an instant, both of his hands finding her tummy while his heart jumped and thudded wildly in his chest. "You're—?"

She nodded, a squeal of excitement escaping her as a grin split his lips, his black eyes filled with a sudden shine of the most obvious and delighted happiness. He'd never been more content in his life than right there in that moment, as he sprung up and wrapped his arms around her form tightly, laughing softly, feeling the most amazing emotions filling his entire being—like he was floating on the most blissful cloud.

(nothing had ever felt this good—not even sex)

Kami, he was gonna be a father! It was finally happening! He'd been so thrilled when they decided to finally try four months back, but now—now they did it! She was pregnant!

Too overjoyed with the news, Sasuke pressed kisses all over her face, one hand on her belly while the other stroked the back of her neck affectionately. And when he pulled back some long moment later to find her with a glowing smile and pretty, blushing face, he couldn't help but to draw her in for a long, sweet kiss, full of every word and confession he'd ever wanted to say to her right then.

Thank you.

You're amazing.

I'm so happy.

I love you.

When they had to part for breath, he pressed his forehead to hers and smiled, fingers tracing her jaw line and brushing her flushed cheeks, feeling such love towards this woman that he felt any more would cause him to explode.

(he'd never thought he would ever be able to feel this way, never thought he would have such luxury… but here he was, loving with all his heart, his mind, his body, his soul.)

And then,

"What the hell are you guys celebrating Sakura being late for?! That's never good!"

Giggling, Sakura pecked him lightly. "Think we should tell him?" she whispered, thumb tracing the curve of his smile, almost as if she wanted to commit it to memory.

Pulling her into his chest, Sasuke nestled a hand on her stomach and nuzzled her hair, sighing. "Let him figure it out."

Because this moment is too perfect, he thought, closing his eyes, and I don't want to let it end yet.

Not my best but I don't even care, I just loved the idea so much. My writing's not too good today but I really wanted it out, so this will have to do. Haha.
