Chapter 18
NEVER Mess with a Pregnant Woman!
Previously:
"Kira," Jimmy said as he looked towards the entrance of the room. "I didn't think you were going to show up."
"Oh please, daddy," She said as she hugged her father. "There's no way I would miss such a big moment in Austin's career."
"Great, well shall we go in?" He said as he offered his arm to his daughter.
"Of course, I can't wait to see Ally again." As she took her father's arm, her smile turned creepy and her eyes contained a glint of mischief.
Let the battle begin, bitch.
Kira's POV
As I walked in on my father's arm, I could make out the head of a blonde haired popstar and boy did he look delicious. Red was truly his color and, coincidently, it went with my own outfit. Hopefully, he'll be the one to take it off of me later.
"Kira," Daddy said as he moved to take my large faux fur coat. "Remember, this is Austin's night, so I want you to be on your best behavior. I don't want a repeat of last time."
"Oh daddy," I said as I shrugged off my coat. "I promise I'll be on my best behavior. I wouldn't want to ruin such an important night for your next big star." My father gave me a less than impressed look, but frankly, I could care less. I had a plan to put forth and nothing was going to stop me.
You might ask, what would a rich, beautiful, talented girl such as I want with someone like Austin Moon? Simple: he's a hot, up-and-coming pop sensation with the voice and body of a god and I'am a hot, young socialite with a killer voice as well. If we started dating, the world would be at our feet, nothing would stop us, but there was just one road block.
"By the way daddy, you said Austin's baby mama would be here tonight, but I don't see her." I said, deliberately referring to the girl as 'Baby Mama' because, let's face it, she will be one soon.
"Her name is Ally." Daddy said as he came back from the coat closet. "And I would appreciate it if you didn't refer to her like that. She's a good girl and Austin happens to love her, so please behave yourself." I didn't dignify my father with an answer and instead waited for him to point out where the girl was.
When I saw her, all I could think was that yes, she was pretty, but she was so young and innocent looking. Why would Austin want someone like that?! Plus, she's pregnant, which means that any figure she had before will be gone when that baby comes out. Why any woman would subject herself to that is beyond my mind.
Ally was standing with Austin and two other people, a plate of food in her hands, when Austin tapped her on the shoulder, kissed her forehead and then walked off to talk to one of our managers. That was my cue to go and destroy this girl.
Ally's POV
My parents, Austin and I were enjoying talking about our Christmas plans until Austin was called over by a sales manager. When he left, I felt as though a cold chill had suddenly descended upon me.
"Ally, are you okay?" My dad asked.
"Yeah," I said. "Just felt a little chilly is all." I was about to eat one of those little turkey sandwiches when I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned around and came face-to-face with the she-devil herself, Kira Starr.
"Hi," She said, trying to act friendly, but failing miserably. "You must be Ally, Austin's...friend." I gave a breathy laugh after she said 'friend'.
Oh you wish I was, don't you, you little home wrecker? I said silently to myself as I placed an equally fake smile on my face.
"Actually, Austin is my fiancé and no need to introduce yourself, I know who you are Ms. Starr." We reached out our hands for a friendly shake and I caught sight of what she was wearing. A more than body conscious, red halter dress with patent red leather stilettos. You could see her boobs trying very hard to escape the top of her dress. "That's a lovely dress by the way." I said, trying to be pleasant.
"Oh," She said. "This old thing? This was just someone I found in the back of my closet. I didn't even think it would still fit. Although, you probably know that all too well."
"Excuse me?" I asked, a little taken aback by what she just sad. I could hear my father mutter under his breath, 'Oh no', and my mother was about ready to pounce on the bitch.
"Well, with your... 'situation' it must be so hard to think about all the clothes you'll no longer be able to wear. You must be looking forward to selling them on Poshmark or something." Kira said as she took a champagne flute from a passing waiter. "Must be one of the many things you'll be missing out on."
"And, pray tell, what are the other things that I'll be 'missing' out on?" I asked as I felt my irritation levels begin to rise.
"Well, the little things," She began to say as she took a drink from her glass. "Drinking a glass of wine or alcohol in general, though I don't imagine you did a lot of that considering your age." Well she was sort of right about that, but I did enjoy a glass of wine when my family would have big dinners. "And your sex life must be non existent." I then heard my mother mutter another, 'Oh no', when that was said. "I mean, that big belly of yours must be such a big turn off for Austin. Not only that, but it would get in the way of practically every position you would try. Of course, I wouldn't know anything like that." Now, I get it.
She was trying to make me angry by doing the one thing most pregnant women can't stand; being told that they can't do something or that they'll never get their old body back, post pregnancy. Oh, was she gonna get it now.
"Actually Kira," I said as I handed my plate to my mother. "That is where you are drastically wrong." She gave me a look that resembled something a smug little child would do when they got away with something.
"Really? What exactly am I wrong about?" She said. It was then that I noticed Austin catching sight of me with Kira and, having finished his conversation, moved quickly through the crowd of people. When he was close, I gave him a look to not interfere until I gave him the signal to do so. I'm a big girl, no pun intended, and I'm going to handle this on my own.
"First of all, any woman can get her back after pregnancy. All it takes is exercise and the right diet, during and post pregnancy. I already love vegetables and healthy foods, so my doctor says that it won't be hard to be fit again. Second, I don't particularly care about such shallow things as my old clothes fitting. It might have bummed me out at first, but I realized that they're just clothes, they'll come and go. This baby is forever and I'll love her more than such shallow thoughts. Third and final, this pregnancy is one of the best things to happen to Austin and I's sex lives. We've done it more than we usually do, in fact, we had sex before we came here." She choked on her champagne when I said that. All of what I said was true, especially the sex part.
"How can he find this," She said as she gestured to my round belly. "Attractive at all?" And that was when Austin jumped in.
"Because the thought of the woman I love carrying our child is about the most sexiest thing I have ever seen." Austin said as he came behind me and wrapped his arms my shoulders.
"Austin," Kira said, a little shocked that he had heard what we were talking about. "Where have you been? I've been looking for you everywhere, there are some execs who want to talk about us doing a duet." Her personality did this total 180 by trying to suck up to Austin as if nothing had really happened between us. "Want to follow me to meet them?"
"No thanks." Austin said without a second thought. "I actually came over here to take my beautiful fiancé to meet an artist that has been dying to meet her, so if you don't mind, we'll be leaving now." He began to usher me away until I stopped him. I turned back to Kira and said one last thing before I left.
"And, one last thing Kira, if you ever try to make a move on my man or try to ruin his career in anyway, I'll be sure to end your career and report this to your father." This didn't really seem to phase her.
"Just try, even though you have no proof or the balls to do it."
"You want to bet?" I said back with a smirk as I sauntered away with Austin. I then heard my mother follow behind with a, 'Try to ruin my daughter's relationship again and she won't be the first to pounce, little missy.' If I haven't said it before, I'll say it again, I have the best damn mom in the world.
"I'm sorry about that." Austin said as he pulled me close to him.
"It's okay," I said back as I turned to look at his handsome face. "I needed to get that out my system and frankly, I had had just about enough of her crap."
"Well, at least you can be sure that I will never be lead astray from you or our little girl." He said as I wrapped my arms around his neck and his were wrapped around my waist. He looked up and his face erupted into a huge smirk. "Oh, would you look at that?" I looked up and saw that we were standing underneath a sprig of mistletoe.
"Well, rules are rules." I say as our lips connected in a passionate kiss.
"Merry Christmas." We said as our lips disconnected and then quickly reconnected.
