Thank you everyone for the support! Updates will be a little slow as...well, I made a "Jaune Arc" account on my Switch and I am playing Breath of the Wild as I write this to get detail in order to prevent having to restart my main game. Nothing like telling a story by living it, right?
HOWEVER, unlike the game there is no "Heart system"...INSTEAD they increase Aura reserves/strength as an EQUIVALENT to the "Hearts" you obtain in game. Also, in game I will be storing the Lightscale Trident, Boulder Breaker, Daybreaker Shield, Scimitar of the Seven, and Great Eagle Bow, since in the story they will be returned to the Champions Mipha, Daruk, Urbosa, and Revali respectively.
Remnants of the Wild
Great Plateau
The group took in the sight of the lands in awe at the beauty of it. Jaune then noticed and pointed out a fire under a rocky alcove. Jaune quietly picked up a stick and moved around, finding large orange and red mushrooms. He knelt down and stared at them, before he remembered that they were Hylian Shrooms, a commonly used ingredient in cooking. The others picked up sticks, swinging them awkwardly. Jaune picked up the musrooms and stored them before they heard that man's voice again.
"Head for the point marked by your Sheikah Scrolls." They all pulled out their scrolls and saw a blank screen with yellow arrows marking their locations and a yellow dot to their northeast. Jaune stared at the fire and silently moved in that direction, picking up any mushrooms he saw. Soon, he saw a cloaked old man and a tree, climbing up the tree he picked a couple apples and dropped down onto the ground by his friends again. It was then Nora saw something by the fire the old man started. It looked like an apple, but smelled delicious. Picking it up, Jaune nearly jumped back when the old man yelled "I BEG YOUR PARDON! I do believe that is MY baked apple! You can't just go and taking whatever you please!"
Jaune glared at Nora, who looked sheepish. Just as she was about to put it back down, the old man laughed. "Oho ho! Forgive me-I could not resist pulling your legs." The group let out a sigh of relief at not having angered him. "Please help yourself. An apple and an open flame make for a succulent treat...Though it is a bit strange to see other souls in these parts."
"Who are you?" Jaune asked, finding it strange that an old man was out in the wilderness.
"Me? I'll spare you my life story." He replied, "I'm just an old fool who has lived here, alone, for quite some time now. What brings a group of youth to a place like this?"
"Where are we?" Ruby interrupted.
"Answering a question with a question. That is fair enough." The man replied, "As I cannot imagine our meeting to be a simple coincidence...I shall tell you all. This sis the Great Plateau. According to legend, this is the birthplace of the entire kingdom of Hyrule." At those words, some familiarity echoed in their minds. This was Hyrule. They were in Hyrule! They lived here!
"That temple there...Long ago, it was the site of many sacred ceremonies." The old man said, pointing out a derelict building with his walking stick with a lantern on it, "Ever since the decline of the kingdom 100 years ago, it has sat abandoned, in a state of decay." A pit formed in their stomachs, as the feeling of failure washed over them for some reason.
"Yet another forgotten entity. A mere ghost of its former self." The man said, sitting back down. Ren noticed something behind the man and picked up the torch sitting there. "Well then, just help yourself to that torch there. And how, may I ask, are you planning to use it?"
"As a weapon." Ren simply stated calmly.
"Innovative." The man complemented, "However, that is probably best used to light fires. If you need a weapon, you can find something better. Many beasts roam the land past this point. You can take my axe with you, if you please. Assuming you can find it." At this, Ruby's eyes lit up at the thought of an actual weapon. "However, do not just swing it around without purpose. You must face your opponents and lock your sights on them." Ruby spotted something down the road and picked up an axe sitting embedded in a stump. Mipha, spotting a pool of water near the temple, jumped in and grabbed a frog and a couple of fish. Returning to the land, Jaune recognized it as a Hot-Footed frog, an ingredient in elixirs, and Hyrule Bass which were commonly used in cooking. Moving on towards the temple, Nora smashed a couple of barrels against the remains of a ruined building, and Jaune picked up a seared steak within one.
Spotting movement, Jaune picked up his branch and charged at what he recognized as a red Bokoblin as his memory of the beast kicked in. He locked his eyes on the beast and ducked under the swing of it's club and slammed the branch hard repeatedly onto it's head until it let out a loud screech and turned black and exploded into smoke, leaving behind a horn from the beast and it's Boko club.
Jaune stared at the club in his hand after the stick broke in half and he dropped the remains of it. He didn't remember learning how to fight, and yet it came naturally. "NICELY DONE BROTHER!" Daruk said, patting Jaune's back while forgetting his strength, knocking him onto his face. The continued on, picking something called a Hyrule Herb and more apples as they headed to the glowing dot on their map. Jaune noticed a couple Bokoblins on the hill and picked up a couple arrows embedded in the ground, staring at them before charging up the hill. He groaned as the Bokoblins on the hill pulled up bows and while he dodged the first arrow, the second one struck his Aura, having it weakened after the long nap. The other Bokoblin noticed him and ran at him, waving a steel sword and an shield. Caught off guard, his Aura took a chunk of damage once more before Ruby swung her axe and the creature dropped the sword and shield, which Jaune picked up. Blake smirked as the creature let out a horrified look and screech as it saw Jaune holding his weapons before Ruby dispatched it.
Entering the ruins within the rock, they noticed a pedestal to hold their scroll up to. Taking the lead, Weiss put her scroll into it and the pedestal turned and glowed yellow before words popped up on everyone's scrolls, since they were connected. Shiekah Tower activated. Please watch for falling rocks.
A blue glowing Sheikah eye lit up at the top and they all fell over as the building suddenly raised up, with other towers raising up in different spots across Hyrule. The top of it extended and the lines across it glowed blue. As they stood up, another message popped up. Distilling local information... The rocky design above the scroll glowed blue and a drop landed on it, and their scrolls glowed blue, before a map of the region appeared on their blank screens.
"So these towers give us maps." Pyrrha said, before they heard the man' voice again. "Remember. Try to remember." They saw a swirl of darkness before a boar-like head emerged from the smoke and roared "When the beast regain's it's power, the world will face it's end. You all must hurry before it's too late." As the smoke faded around the base of the castle, Ruby shivered and Jaune put a hand around her shoulders in order to comfort her. They then climbed, or in Revali's case, flew down the tower. Upon reaching the bottom, they heard a familiar shout as the old man sailed down on a paraglider with the Emblem of Hyrule on the sail.
"My, my...It would seem we have quite the enigma here. This tower and others like it have erupted across the land, one after another. It is almost as though...a long-dormant power has awoken quite suddenly. If you do not mind me asking...Did anything...odd occur while you all were atop that tower?" The old man said.
"We heard a voice." Mipha said quietly.
"Well now! A voice, you say? And did you happen to recognize this mysterious voice?" He said hopefully, only for the people to sadly shake their heads no. "I see. Well, that is unfortunate. I assume you all caught sight of that atrocity enshrouding the castle. That...is Calamity Ganon. One hundred years ago, that vile entity brought the kingdom of Hyrule to ruin. It appeared suddenly and destroyed everything in its path. So many innocent lives were lost in its wake. For a century, the very symbol of our kingdom, Hyrule Castle, has managed to contain that evil...but just barely. There it festers, building its strength for the moment it will unleash its blight upon the land once again. It would appear that moment is fast approaching..."
He then turned to face that group. "I must ask you, courageous ones...do you intend to make your way to the castle?" He asked.
"Yes." Jaune simply said, staring at the castle, a sense of familiarity echoing in it.
The old man gave a chuckle and replied "I had a feeling you would say that. Here, on this isolated plateau, we are surrounded on all sides by steep cliffs, with no way down. If you were to try to jump off, well...no death could be more certain. Or more foolish." This dashed the hope of most of the group. Revali scoffed as he flapped his wings anxiously. "Of course, if you had a paraglider like mine, that would be quite another story.
"Paraglider?" Jaune asked, hope in his eyes.
"Oho! Piqued your interests, have I? Yes, I didn't come soaring down here on my own feathery wings like your friend has, you know! Worry not- I will give you paragliders I made, but not for nothing...Let's see now..." He stroked his beard in thought, "How about I trade it or a bit of treasure that slumbers nearby?" The non fliers of the group looked curious at this deal.
"Come, let me show you something." The old man said, climbing up a small hill and staring a a black, rock-like structure with glowing orange designs. They followed and stared at the building with him. "Do you see that structure there? The one shining with a strange light? It began glowing at the exact moment those towers rose up from the ground. I would think such a place might house some sort of treasure, wouldn't you? Treasure for the paraglider. A fair exchange I believe...but be warned. It was said only the hero chosen by the sword that seals darkness can enter it. All eyes went to Jaune at that declaration. He was his brother's heir to the title of Hylian Champion and the wielder of the sword that seals darkness; wherever it was hidden.
Gulping slightly, Jaune dove into a small pond and grabbed a few more Hylian Bass before climbing out and staring at an enemy camp in front of the shrine. Pulling out his weapons, he moved next to the encampment. He pulled out a bow and struck down a guard with a flurry of four arrows, but it was too late. The alarm was sounded. Three red bokoblins charged forward and he slammed his weapon onto the one wielding a bow. Some blows from enemies struck his aura as he knocked one into the pond and watch it burst into smoke in the water, before knocking down the one with a club and shield, picking them up as it screamed in horror. He dispatched them quickly and a treasure chest had the "eyes" in it's skull-like design turn gold. Opening the chest, he found himself looking at another traveler's sword. Just as he was about to move towards the shrine, Jaune spotted a cooking pot and a quick memory hit him. He stared at the hot-footed frog and a couple bokoblin horns and started cooking the frog as he powdered the horns and added it. He then swirled the mixture together until he got a light-blue liquid, which he poured into a spare bottle.
"It seems your friend remembered how to make a mild hasty elixir." The old man said as Pyrrha and Ruby's eyes widened as a memory struck them as Jaune moved to the shrine. They didn't notice the shrine light up blue as Jaune went inside, or the alert that their Sheikah Scrolls now had the magnesis rune. They remembered something.
Jaune was in a yellow shirt with white pants and a white apron as he stood at an oven mixing things together. Ruby and Pyrrha were next to him, setting ingredients out. "Now we have the strawberries, chocolate chips, and the dough. We're going to make strawberry chocolate chip cookies for Ruby's birthday! It's not everyday you turn 15!" Ruby let out a cheer as Jaune deftly and skillfully mixed the ingredients together and set them onto a tray and put them into an oven, humming quietly to himself.
"How did you get so good at cooking Jaune?" Pyrrha asked, as he started looking more and more like the ideal husband.
"Mom thought it would be a good skill to have...besides sewing. Besides, when you have seven sisters, you pick up skills like that." Jaune said, peering to look at the cookies as they were baking.
They emerged from their memory with a short gasp as they checked their scroll and saw that magnetic icon on the "runes" options. Pyrrha's eyes widened as she remembered her own semblance. The top of the shrine finally turned from orange to blue as they approached it and Jaune rose up on an elevator. Somehow, his aura had been completely restored and he had a couple of ancient springs and a traveler's bow. The old man laughed as he said "It seems you managed to get your hands on a Spirit Orb. Well done!"
"How did you know?" Jaune blurted out.
"Clairvoyance! Oho, or perhaps just something similar. As one gets older, it can become more difficult to see what is right before one's own eyes...However, that which was once hidden from view can often be crystal clear." The man spoke cryptically. "But perhaps that is not true for everyone! Oho ho! The appearance of those towers and the awakening of this shrine... It is all connected to those Sheikah Scrolls that you all carry on your hips."
"What do you mean?" Blake asked as her cat ears twitched.
"It has been quite some time since I have seen those Sheikah Scrolls. Today's scrolls aren't the same. Long ago, a highly advanced tribe known as the Sheikah inhabited these lands. The great power of their wisdom saved this kingdom time and time again. But their ancient technology disappeared long ago...Or so it is said. It is interesting, however, to think...how something like those survived all this time, hidden away in a shrine. These shrines are tucked away in numerous places all across the land. On this plateau alone, I believe there are three more. Bring me the treasure from each of those shrines...and I will give you my paragliders."
"So I need more now?" Jaune asked.
"I said 'treasure', but I never said there would only be one treasure." The man replied with a slight chuckle, "Whether it is one treasure or four, what's the difference for young go-getters like yourselves? Since I'm feeling generous, I will also teach you a trick for finding shrines. It's always the best to survey the area by looking around from a high point. Let's see here...How about you make your way to the top of that tower again?"
"Got it!" Nora said eagerly as others groaned.
"I admire your eagerness! But allow me to teach you something else before you go. Take a look at the map on your Sheikah Scrolls." As they pulled up their maps, the old man continued. "See those blue icons? You should recognize the gave where you woke, the shrine you came from, and the tower. You can travel instantly to any of those places with the Sheikah Scroll, some kind of teleportation system, I believe. Or so I heard quite some time ago...I do not know if it actually works as such." Pulling out the map again, Jaune shrugged and pressed the tower icon and his vision went blue and cleared on the top of the tower.
When the others arrived, they found the old man already waiting there. "I'm surprised it took you so long to catch up with an old man like me!" He said, as steam poured from Ruby's ears as confusion echoed in her mind.
"How did you..." She asked, but was cut off.
"Oho ho! Leave an old man his secrets. Now then... I wanted you all to join me up here so you could use this as a vantage point to search for shrines. Did you know about the scope on your Sheikah slates? Look through it, and you can stick a pin anywhere you'd like to mark on the map. The pins on your map serve as reference points for your travels. Just stick a pin anywhere you're interested in." He explained.
"Got it." Weiss said, rather put out about his quick movement. Climbing back down the tower as they put a pin in three different spots, they grumbled as the tower was the closest to another shrine. As they approached it, a broken down machine came to life with a reddish glow and fired blue lasers at them. They sought shelter as the night sky came to life when Jaune moved into the shrine. When they got the notification that they got the bomb runes, a memory flashed before Ren and Nora's eyes.
Nora hummed a cheerful tune as she put piles of orange dust together into an iron sledgehammer head before reattaching it to the handle.
"I don't think that is a good idea, Nora." Ren said as he flipped through a book, completely used to her antics by now.
"Come on Renny! Think of how many Grimm and Monsters I'll smash!" She asked giving her (secret) crush a pleading look. He shrugged. "Don't say I didn't warn you." He said, giving her the go ahead. She gave a huge grin and slammed the hammer down. A huge explosion rocked the room and sent everyone coming into their, seeing Nora holding the remains of a handle while she and Ren were covered in soot.
Jaune emerged from the shrine as they emerged from their memories. He tossed a bomb and destroyed some rubble, and then hit the statue-like machine with one, but it barely scratched it. Exiting as they headed southwest towards Mount Hylia, they snuck up on a couple of red bokoblins at a camp and Jaune threw a round bomb, almost laughing as they ran after it like it was a ball. He rushed forwards and grabbed the boko shield to replace the ones the machine destroyed, he detonated the bomb and they went flying as they turned into smoke and he picked up the horns and teeth left behind. They soon came upon a derelict cabin. Around it was a Hylian Shroom and a couple green Stamella shrooms. In the cabin was an open book. Blake, curiosity taking a hold of her, started reading out loud. "On this desolate pleateau, the only pleasure that brings me comfort is cooking. And today, I outdid myself! Truly, I created the perfect dish. I call it...spicy meat and seafood fry." At this, Blake's mouth watered.
"The recipe not only restores aura and health, but it also keeps me warm, even when traveling in the snowy mountains. With this dish on my side, I no longer have need of my knitted itchy warm doublets. I do not know how I allowed this to happen, but it seems I forgot to write down a very important recipe. I know it contained raw meat and spicy pepper cooked together, however...I imply cannot remember what else I used! My age is catching up to me. Sadly, on this lonely plateau, I have only my own knowledge and memory to rely on. Still...If I did find someone who knew the missing ingredient, I would happily reward them with my warm doublets. However, it seems unlikely that such a miraculous wish will ever be fulfilled." Blake let out a sigh and looked up at Mount Hylia.
"We need those doublets. I doubt our current attire will protect us from the cold snowy mountain." She said.
"Shame. I only have spicy peppers and Hyrule Bass. No raw meat..." Jaune said, before his eyes widened. "Bass! That's it! He used Bass for the seafood!" Clearing out another bokoblin camp was easy when Mipha and Pyrrha found Boko spears to use and showcased an innate skill with pole-arms. They now collected some more seared steak, some bomb arrows, and a throwing spear for Pyrrha. Encountering the old man once again, he taught Ruby how to fell a tree with her woodcutter's axe, allowing them to make a makeshift bridge across a ravine. It took a while for the group to reach the top of one of Mount Hylia's foothills from a sheer climb (with Jaune being daring/stupid enough to collect Rushrooms on the way) where the next shrine sat. This time, the rune was the temporary time-freezing stasis. When Jaune emerged, he handed Nora an iron sledgehammer he had found in the shrine, which made her hug him so hard he started turning blue from a lack of oxygen.
Days started passing on that plateau as they tried to figure out where to find meat for that spicy meat and seafood fry, and one day they came across a strange teleporting flower that ended up with a little wooden doll-like creature with a leaf face.
"Ya-ha-ha! You found me!" It cried out, "Huh? You're not Hestu! But you all can...see me? I didn't know your kind could see the children of the forest! Well, if you run into Hestu, please return this to him." With that, it handed him a distinct smelling seed. "Oh! And my friends are hiding in lots of different places too! Don't be shy about poking your nose into suspicious places!"
When they wandered off, Revali let out a screech. "Koroks! I remember! They're called Koroks! They're said to be spirits of nature!" After that announcement, a lucky break emerged as they found wild boar; their source of raw meat. Jaune tried to sneak up on one, but it turned around and charged. While Jaune took it out, it took a slight blow on his aura. Eventually heading back all the way to the cabin, Jaune took a Hyrule Herb, a couple of bass, a piece of meat, and a pepper and hummed to himself as he cooked up the spicy meat and seafood fry.
"Wait." The old main said in shock, "How did you...never mind, can I trouble you for the recipe? "
"Meat, Spicy pepper, herb, and Hyrule bass." Jaune said as he stored his meal.
"Ah! Of course! Hyrule bass! How could I have forgotten? Well, done! Now, please allow me to reward your culinary efforts with warm doublets." They clothes had long white sleeves and a blue-green color with brown stripes and gloves. It wasn't the most pleasing color, but it would work for the cold mountain.
"With that, you all will be able to resist the bite of colder environments. As for me, I know the recipe now, so I can do without them." The old man said as he took a bite of the portion Jaune gave to him. He decided to cook up some more dishes for the future, thankful that they had bathrooms and technology to store food until it was opened to be used. Jaune didn't think he was THAT good at cooking, but the impressed, almost dreamy looks of Pyrrha, Yang, Mipha, and Ruby said otherwise. Still, he didn't have many ingredients to work with, and only made a few dishes (in his mind) for the future. Along with the collected baked apples and seared steaks, they had a hasty elixir, Fruit and Mushroom Mix, Energizing Steamed Fish, Energizing Omelet, Energizing Glazed Mushrooms, Energizing Glazed Meat, Hasty Mushroom Skewer, Hasty Steamed Mushrooms, Spicy Pepper Seafood, and Spicy Meat and Seafood Fry. To finish up, he made a Sneaky Elixir and Spicy Elixir.
"That settles it!" Nora shouted, "From now on Fearless Leader is also our designated chef!" That got a roar of laughter from the old man listening in. Now that they were prepared for the cold, it was time to head up Mount Hylia. The trek was dengerous and filled with hazards. Freezing cold water (that Nora nearly fell into), monsters, and falling snowballs/rocks. Still, the ragtag group made it to the shrine as Jaune went in. As the cryosis rune appeared on their scrolls, Weiss got lost in her memories as she remembered her family looking at the snowflake symbol. "Schnee..." She said, bitterly, remembering her father and brother. "I now have a chance to redeem that name..."
Jaune finally rose from the shrine as the old man paraglided down next to the group. "With this, you have now acquired all of the Spirit Orbs from the shrines on this plateau. Oho ho! Extraordinary! That means...it is finally time. Jaune, it is finally time for me to tell you everything. But first...Imagine an X on your map, with the four shrines as the end points. Find the spot where those lines intersect. I shall wait for all of you there. Do you understand? Where two lines cross..." He cut off as he glowed blue and vanished into ghostly flames. With that, they teleported to their first choice; the Shrine of Resurrection. Upon finding themselves still alone, Mipha pointed at the abandoned temple and said "Maybe that should be the place since he pointed it out to use earlier?" There was an eerie glow at the top tower, and it took some time to climb up. Yet, sure enough, he was there.
"Now then, the time has come for me to tell you all who I truly am. I was King Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule, the last leader of Hyrule. A kingdom that no longer exists." With that, he was surrounded by a blinding glow. When it died down, the man was wearing fancy clothing with a royal blue coat with gold trim and a crown. Upon instinct, Jaune, Revali, Urbosa, Daruk, and Mipha knelt down. "The Great Calamity was merciless...it devastated everything in it's path, lo a century ago. It was then that my life was taken away from me. And since that time I have remained here in spirit form. I did not think it wise to overwhelm all of you while your memories were still fragile, so rather than that, I thought it best to assume a temporary form." He said, turning to look at the castle, "Forgive me."
Words would not come to the group as they listened to the ghost of Hyrule's last King. "I think you are all now ready. Ready to hear what happened 100 years ago. To know Calamity Ganon's true form, one must know the story from an age long past. The demon king was born into this kingdom, but his transformation into Malice created the horror you see now. Stories of Ganon were passed down from generation to generation in the form of legends and fairy tales. But there was also...a prophecy."
"The signs of a Resurrection of Calamity Ganon are clear. And we have left you the power to oppose it. That power comes in the form of gigantic machines, the Four Divine Beasts, piloted by warriors, and the Guardians which are an army of soldiers who fight autonomously. This coincided with ancient legends, oft repeated throughout the land. We also learned of a Princess with a sacred power and her appointed knight, chosen by the sword that seals the darkness. It was they who sealed Ganon away using the power of these relics." Mipha, Revali, Daruk, and Urbosa's eyes widened as something triggered in their memories.
"One hundred years ago there was a Princess set to inherit a sacred power, when we were freed from our own seal caused by Ganon. A neighboring kingdom attacked, and we absorbed it and it's three allies into Hyrule. It was there I met my friend, advisor Ozpin. He was...strange, but very knowledgeable. He was the one who suggested having our kingdoms intermingle and selected two teams of four. RWBY, composed of Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long, and JNPR, composed of Jaune Arc, Nora Valkyrie, Pyrrha Nikos, and Lie Ren. These eight children were innocent, and were welcomed within the castle and became close friends with the princess. You Jaune, became as close as brothers with her appointed knight, Link. One was hardly seen without the other. You were there when he was under a lot of pressure, and taught him how to cook, and he taught you how to fight. Those lessons lay deep within your blood now, emerging as instinct."
"We would continue to follow our ancestor's path. We selected four skilled individuals from across Hyrule and tasked them with the duty of piloting the Divine Beasts." Urbosa, Mipha, Daruk, and Revali let out a gasp as recollection filled their heads. "With the Princess as their commander, we dubbed these pilots Champions-a title that would solidify their unique bond. The Princess, her appointed knight, and the champions were on the brink of sealing away Ganon...But Nay..."
"Ganon was cunning and responded with a plan beyond our imagining and snuck out silently before killing and absorbing Salem, witch of the soulless monsters known as Grimm and gained command of them. As the new districts of Hyrule, Atlas, Vale, Vacco, and Mistral were besieged by more and more Grimm and we sent more and more soldiers to help them, Ganon then appeared from deep below Hyrule Castle, seized control of the Guardians and the Divine Beasts, and turned hem against us. You four" He motioned to Mipha, Revali, Daruk, and Urbosa, "Were nearly killed were it not for the timely intervention of the Sheikah that removed you badly injured from your beasts."
"People within the castle were killed, as did my daughter-the Princess and her Champion Link. As he died, Link used the last of his Aura to transfer his weapon skills and Semblance to you. This made you the heir of the sword that seals the darkness, and your wielded it fiercely as you defended the dying princess and your friends, but all of you were gravely wounded. And thus, the kingdom of Hyrule was devastated absolutely by Calamity Ganon."
"However..." He said, making them raise their heads from the shame of failure, "my daughter also remained in spirit form and split her sacred power into three, hiding two of it away within two of the girls here, and a large majority of it into advisor Ozpin, who went off to face Ganon alone with the spirit of the Princess to guide him."
It was then that they heard that strange first voice again. "All of you are our final hope. The fate of Hyrule rests with all of you!"
"You all were taken to the Shrine of Resurrection. There, you twelve were revitalized and here you stand, 100 years later. The words of guidance you have been hearing since awakening are from advisor Ozpin himself. Even now, as he works on restraining Calamity Ganon within Hyrule Castle, he calls out for your help. However, his power will soon be exhausted. Once that happens, Ganon will freely regenerate himself and nothing will stop him from consuming our land. I have no right of asking you to do this, especially when I failed, but save my friend...no, save the Heir to my Kingdom since none of my blood remain. Somehow, Calamity Ganon has retained control of all four Divine Beasts as well as those Guardians swarming around Hyrule Castle...heading there directly at this point would be foolhardy."
They took all of this in, watching the darkness swirling around the castle. "I suggest, that you make your way east, out to one of the villages in the wilderness. Follow the road out to Kakariko Village. There you will find the elder, Impa. She will tell you more about the path that lies ahead. Consult the maps on your Sheikah Scrolls for the precise location of Kakariko Village. Make your way past the twin summits of the Dueling Peaks. From there, follow the road as it proceeds north."
This was a lot to take in as the king revealed paragliders behind him. "Go on, here are the paragliders as I promised." As they picked them away, they were surprised they could fit into the small pouch, but shrugged it off as current technology. "I think that is it except for...Jaune...you not only inherited Link's sword, but his Semblance, the Hero's Adaptability. It allows you to learn skills of others after overcoming a tough beast and driving away darkness like from say, a Divine Beast. However, you do not use it as naturally like the one who gave the skill to you. Instead, you will super-charge it...thus limiting it's use to a certain number of times before having to let it recharge. Also, those Spirit Orbs are collected for a reason. While the Aura and stamina of the others will recover naturally, Link's Aura fusing with yours messed it up. You will need to collect four Spirit orbs. For every four, pray at a statue of the Goddess Hylia... There you will recover some Aura or stamina, using up the four Spirit Orbs to do so."
"I won't fail." Jaune said, making King Rhoam chuckle at his determination.
"I've told you all everything I can...you must...save...Hyrule..." With that, King Rhoam vanished into thin air as his spirit left for the afterlife. The mood was very somber as Jaune left and paraglided down to the statue they passed on the way up and prayed. There, he was surrounded in a white glow as his Aura reserves recovered in size somewhat. Afterwards, they made their way to the eastern cliff and nodding to each other, they all deployed their paragliders as they leapt off the Great Plateau, except for Revali who spread his wings in excitement and flew after them.
This was the first step.
Before you ask about the foods Jaune made, this account was my second play, so I know more about cooking that my first run. They were ALL made in game before being listed.
Also, I will put up a poll on the pairing on my profile. Have fun! Reviews and C2s are my only payment! Enjoy!
