Well, the pairing is finalized by votes. As for WHY I don't show a lot of the inside of the shrines...well...

A) some of the in-game mechanics don't translate well into a more "realistic" story..

B) More importantly, I don't want to spoil people's play through.

c2s and reviews are my only payment

So...possible spoilers. For my Jaune Arc play through, I will be doing a "max hearts/aura" run. In game, it is 30 hearts. My first..."complete story" run under my username, Andrew (green background with gold Hyrule Kingdom crest) was a "Jack of all trades" run; 28 hearts, 1 short of max stamina (3 wheels).

The order of the Divine Beasts appeased will be...Vah Ruta, Vah Nabooris, Vah Rudania, Vah Medoh...unless you want me to change the last two around? That was the order of my first run.

I do have "preferred weapons" for each champion for later:

Mipha: Lightscale Trident

Urbosa: Daybreaker Shield, Scimitar of the Seven

Daruk: Boulder Breaker

Revali: Great Eagle Bow

Jaune Arc: Master Sword, Royal Shield (Hylian Shield stored away for "Nostalgia"...) Secondary sword choice being a Royal Broadsword

Pyrrha Nikos: Ceremonial Trident, Gerudo Spear

Yang Xiao Long: Gerudo Scimitar, Savage Lynal Crusher

Weiss Schnee: Zora sword, Frostblade

Nora Valkyrie: Cobble Crusher, Iron Sledgehammer

Stay tuned for an announcement after this chapter.

Remnants of the Wild

Kakariko and Hateno

"I'm surprised none of you noticed Jaune's change. Then again, you did lose your memories." Impa said as she gingerly stood up and had one of the guards enter the building.

"Change?" Pyrrha asked, "What change?"

"Thanks to Link giving Jaune his aura and spirit, he went from being human to Hylian." Impa said, brushing Jaune's long hair aside, revealing pointed, elf-like ears.

Jaune reached up in shock, touching his own ears in disbelief. "I'm...a Hylian...like...my fallen brother?"

As the guard moved to fix Jaune's hair under Impa's guidance, the aged elder locked eyes with him. "You remember Link?" The guard silently messed with Jaune's hair until he stepped back and nodded his approval. Jaune's yellow hair now parted to the right above his left eye as a blue band pulled his excess hair into a ponytail behind his head and two long sections drifted down like sideburns to his shoulders.

"When this is all done, I think I'll need a haircut." Jaune joked, pulling his Hylian hood back up.

"I must recommend you all go to Hateno Village and have your damaged Shiekah Scrolls repaired." Impa said "It is a small village...One of the very few places that avoided suffering significant damage during the Great Calamity."

"So...Paya...what's that ball?" Ruby asked the shy Sheikah girl as she polished the floor in front of a stone orb with glowing orange designs.

"This...This priceless artifact here? It that what you want to know about?" Paya replied as Ruby inwardly flinched after calling it a ball, "This is a Sheikah heirloom that we have long protected. The hero, as chosen by the Sheikah heirloom, will be gifted the blessing of antiquity. With these words as our guide, we have watched over this sacred artifact since my grandmother's grandmother's time...And even since HER grandmother's grandmother's time before that! I cannot say that I entirely know the meaning of these words. But now that I think about it...The hero, as chosen by the Sheikah heirloom...Could it be..." Paya's gaze drifted to Jaune.

"So...what about the village?" Yang asked as she followed Paya's gaze.

"We Sheikah have long served the royal family of Hyrule in secret. During the Great Calamity of 100 years ago...the royal family was destroyed, and the members of our tribe were scattered. Sadly, there were some who swore allegiance to Ganon at that time." Shiver's went down the group's spines at those words. "They joined together asthe Yiga Clan, seeking out all who opposed Ganon...cutting them down, one after another. Now that you Masters and Mistresses are awake, you all are surely the most formidable opponents standing against them! No doubt they will come for you all, employing whatever underhanded methods they can devise...Oh, but of course, if there's anything I can do to help any of you, all you have to do is ask!"

"The Great Fairy Cotera..." Impa cut in, "Only a few remain who know this, but this village was built under her watchful eye. The mysterious power of Cotera is that of sacred protection...I suggest you seek her out."

"The Great Fairy resides behind the shrine that overlooks this village. That is where you should seek her. You can put your trust in the Great Fairy. I can't think of any reason she wouldn't be happy to help you." Paya finished. The group soon left and decided to spend some time in Kakariko as they gathered their bearings. Pyrrha, Yang, Mipha, and Ruby watched with a serene smile as Jaune played tag with a young girl named Colta to help alleviate her boredom.

"He would be a great father." That statement suddenly slipped out of Pyrrha's mouth and she covered her mouth with her hands as her eyes widened in realization that she said that out loud.

"Sadly, I don't think he'll get the chance until Ganon is defeated." Yang said. After getting a rock salt for playing with her, Jaune then went running around for a Cucco farmer to find his missing Cuccos as Ren found a wooden bow. Finding the seven Cuccos took a while, but got Jaune a purple rupee out of it. After doing so, Jaune moved to the top of the hill and went into the Ta'loh Naeg Shrine. After he emerged, it was a harsh rain coming down on the group and they ran to the forest behind the shrine. Ren spotted a blue, rabbit-like creature. Thinking of more food, he shot an arrow at it. Surprisingly, it didn't kill the creature, which instead dropped 51 Rupees. Their stay in Kakariko had been rewarding, with a fortified pumpkin and a swift carrot. Now, Jaune was gathering blue nightshade, endura carrots, and fairies Around a large, cactus-like bulb. He then froze spotting beautiful white flowers around a tree.

"Silent Princess..." He said reverently, as he gingerly plucked them and tucked them into his pouch.

Jaune then went up orange mushrooms forming steps and a voice rang out from the bulb. "Boy...Sweet boy. Please...Listen to my story."

"Sure." Jaune said, eager to help anyone in need.

"I am the Great Fairy Cotera...This place was once a beautiful spring...But as time passed, fewer and fewer travelers arrived to offer me rupees. As a result, my power has abandoned me. I'm nearly powerlesss now, so I beg your help. I need rupees to become whole again. All I need is 100 rupees....Once my power has been restored, I can help you do great things boy. Now, if you have rupees, hand them over to me, Quickly! In order for me to regain my power, I need 100 rupees." Jaune inwardly flinched, as they only had 153, but handed them over.

"Here you go." He said.

"Thank you. You are too kind. Aah...the power...It's overflowing." With that, the bulb burst open revealing a pink flower with a spring in the middle with old decorations as a gigantic blonde woman with wing-like decorations around her ears burst forth.

"Haaahhh." Oh, what a feeling! That first breath of fresh air after an eternity of decay...It's just so intoxicating!" The Great Fairy Cotera said as Jaune's eyes softened at her plight. "Thanks to you, I've been returned to my former glory. And as they say-one good turn deserves another. I can help you, boy. Allow me to enhance your group's clothing. It's the least I can do, but I will need the necessary materials...With the power available to me...I should be able to enhance your clothing a little bit."

"That would be great, thank you." Jaune said. There wasn't much she could do, but she did manage to enhance Jaune, Blake, and Ren's Stealth outfit. With a farewell, Cotera vanished below the water. After returning to Kakariko, Jaune ended up helping a little girl named Koko make Hasty Veggie Cream Soup, which she gave some to Jaune that he stored for later. He also managed to get the recipe; rock salt, milk, and swift carrots.

"He can cook, good at bartering, and good with kids...we gotta be careful or someone will snatch up this lovely voe." Yang said, and her eyes widened in realization. "Wait. Why did I say voe?"

"It's the Gerudo word for man." Urbosa said with a lopsided smirk, "Not many outside of the Gerudo know it...you must have had Gerudo in your ancestory."

"I knew it too..." Pyrrha said shyly, poking her fingers together as Urbosa laughed and hugged her two new 'Gerudo sisters'.

"If we are all done being distracted by these menial tasks, can we get going?" Revali asked haughtily.

"Killjoy..." Yang said quietly as Jaune nodded and they sat around a fire for the night and moved to leave out of Kakariko Village at 5 am. However, a fierce rain drove them back into Cotera's forest. This wasn't a bad trip, as they found a magnesis puzzle that a Korok was hiding in. As they wandered along the path, they came across a strange traveler.

"I can tell you all trained your bodies well...I say you're all familiar with different weapons, correct? Those are good skills, why don't you join the Yiga Clan?" He said.

"Yiga Clan?" Jaune asked, tensing as he thought back of the words in Kakariko about those siding with Ganon, "No thanks."

"What?! You're refusing? Why don't you at least hear what I gotta say first? The Yiga Clan...It's...A powerful, brave group of warriors, founded by Master Kohga and dedicated to defeating heroes long thought dead." Then the man burst into smoke as he reappeared in a red ninja suit wearing a white mask with an upside-down Sheikah logo in red. "I WILL TAKE YOUR LIVES!"

Jaune drew his Thunderblade as he stared down the Yiga Clan member. After dodging the man's initial attacks, Jaune struck quickly and made the man stay in one place as he struck with the electricity coursing through the Thunderblade. As the last blow was struck, he dropped his Viscous Sickle, which Ruby picked up and investigated as Jaune picked up what was left behind in the smoke, a Mighty Banana and 12 rupees. They soon found another Korok nearby as they approached a field. A plume of smoke got their attention as they approached a Hylian sitting my a fire.

"Oh...so you heard me humming, eh? I'm Eryck. I'm traveling the world on a journey of self-discovery. I'm heading to Zora's Domain now...but I'm lost. I was just about to give up." The location rung a sense of familiarity with Mipha and Jaune. "But then, like, I heard a voice coming from the North Tower...Crossing the Rutela River would be next to impossible, though..."

"North Tower?" Jaune asked.

"If you continue north from here, on the other side of the Rutela River, you can see a huge tower on the opposite bank. I thought I heard a voice coming from the top of that tower. I wonder if someone's up there." He said.

"Zora's Doman?" Pyrrha asked.

"Zora's Domain is the home of the Zora, like your friend there. It's a town in Lanayru. But crossing the Rutella River is impossible. It's a hard place to get to, so I just gave up altogether." Eryck said, shrugging at their curiosity. After finding yet another Korok, accordion music drifted across the wind. On a rocky outcrop next to a stone pedestal was a light-blue Rito (the same species as Revali) playing the instrument.

"Oh! Pardon me! I didn't think anyone was around..." He said, "T-Those there! On your hips!...No, I'm sorry-it's nothing. I didn't mean to pry." He quickly changed the subject.

"No worries." Jaune said, having seen that reaction before.

"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kass. I'm a bard traveling the land in search of ancient songs. Have you heard of the ancient songs of Hyrule?"

"Ancient songs?" Weiss asked.

"Ancient songs-songs that sing the praises of a hero who beat back the Calamity in an age past. I know a song about this place. Would you like to hear the ancient verse passed down in this region?"

"Let's hear it." Jaune said.

"Excellent! Without further ado...A beast that wears a crown of bone, Prancing through the lush green. Mount the beast upon its throne, For only then the shrine is seen." Kass hummed thoughtfully, "The lush green can refer to this place...but a crown of bone...what could that mean? May light illuminate your path."

After finding a Korok in a pond, Jaune got lucky...A Mountain Buck ran at him and he threw himself on it's back and held in as he soothed it, staring at the beast's antlers.

"A crown of bone! Antlers!" Ren said, "It was a buck the song was about!" Jaune rode it onto the pedestal, where it glowed blue and a shrine rose up from underground nearby. Jaune dismounted the buck, which took off, and entered the Mezza Lo Shrine. Once the shrine was complete, they moved back to Kakariko Village and headed back to the stable in order to get more directions. Jaune sold an opal and piece of amber he picked up from rocks Daruk smashed to eat to a traveling merchant in order to boost their funds again on the way. Then, they were stopped by another traveler.

"About a year ago...I was walking along the road here at night, when I suddenly saw a blinding light in the my eyes finally adjusted, I found myself looking at a shimmering object floating overhead. I couldn't look away. The next thing I knew, I was bathed in light. When I came to, I woke up in bed covered in sweat. What...do you think about that?" He asked.

"It sounds like a dream." Ruby said.

"At first I though it was just a bad dream. But the bed I woke up in...wasn't my bed. It was a bed full of liquid in an empty room. And when I looked in the corner...There were weird glowing devices. And when I touched one...I was overwhelmed with a feeling of...familiarity. When I came to, I was here...What do you think about that?"

"That...um..." Jaune stammered.

"Does that story sound familiar...Hylian champions? Your story ends here!" With that, the Yiga clan member's disguise vanished. Jaune leaped to attack and the Yiga member vanished. A scream soon rang out as he reappeared by a random traveler. Jaune stabbed his sword into him and the Yiga clam member vanished in a puff of smoke, leaving 21 rupees and a mighty banana.

"Wow, you're really powerful! I'll never forget that I owe you my life!" The traveler said as she gushed over him. "This is to show my thanks!" With that, she handed him an Energizing Honeyed Apple. As the stable drew closer, a sign caught their attention, which pointed out the road to Hateno village. Stopping at a cooking pot as they looted the ruins of Guardians, Jaune made a Tough Meat Skewer, Energizing Meat and Seafood Fry, Energizing Seafood Skewer, and Tough Steamed Fish. Afterwards, their journey brought them to the entrance to Fort Hateno. A man stood there and waved them over.

"Hiya! My name's Garill. come to see Fort Hateno, I take it?" He said.

"That's right." Ren said.

"Figured as much. It's well worth seeing! Fort Hateno here was the last line of defense between Hateno Village and the awful tragedy all those years ago. Everyone's got to come and pay their respects at least once in life, right?" Garill said. As Jaune ate a few apples in a tree to restore his aura, the rest of the group were checking over their supplies. After collecting some Courser Bee Honey and stacks of wood, they continued on the trail. Another Yiga clan member ambushed them, but was quickly defeated as she left a mighty banana and 55 rupees. Ruby had been collecting their Viscous Sickles to investigate. Now...ideas of weapons were forming in her head.

After helping a doctor with a mystery that revealed another shrine, and finding another Korok, they continued under the cloak of night to Hateno Village. Jaune got a Mighty Crab Risotto for helping a girl traveler from monsters before they changed course and headed for the tower. After fighting their way up, Jaune used his Flameblade to light the dry thorns on it on fire. Or at least that had been the plan, as it started pouring ran on them, making lighting a fire impossible. Mipha sat under the rain, feeling the water on her skin as the rest sat around a tree waiting for the rain to stop. Once it did, Jaune used the Flameblade to light under a cooking pot and used his torch to light the thorns on fire, as the Flameblade's swing dissipated it's fire too quickly. As the fire spread, as if the gods intervened, an updraft would form and prevent the fire from going out of control.

Not every thorn was cleared, however. As Jaune weaved around them, Revali couldn't miss the opportunity to show him up and flew to the top and activated the tower just as Jaune reached the top. He just shrugged as the map downloaded to their scrolls, but Mipha, Yang, Pyrrha, and Ruby glared at Revali from the base of the tower. Soon, they approached the forest outside Hateno Village. Jaune's aura had taken a slight hit from some battles, but he was still in relatively good shape. Then, they were distracted by two bokoboblins standing over unconscious young adult women. After destroying the beasts, the women's eyes fluttered open.

"Ooooh...I blame my sister entirely for this. 'Let's go hunt for truffles!' she says. 'It'll be fun!' She says. One complained as they both moved to a tree and started rummaging around. They approached the gate for Hateno Village as the moon rose higher but were stopped by a man holding a pitchfork at them.

"Who...Who are you all?! I demand answers! If you're up this late, you're probably up to no good!" He said.

"We're travelers." Ren said calmly.

"Hrm? You certainly do appear to be traveling with a Hylian like the rest of Hateno village." He said, eyes locking onto Jaune's ears under his hood. "Hylians are generally good folk, so...Sorry for getting all worked up...You're free to go. We're just a waypoint on your winding road, huh? Ah, the life of a traveler. Well, you can get most things you need at the general store, and the inn is just back there." He said, giving them some pointers. Jaune's first stop, however, was the Myahm Agana Shrine. Afterwards, Jaune exited the shrine and handed Blake a Phenric Bow before going to pray at a Goddess Statue in town, letting his aura levels increase again. They watched, him bow his head with a visibly frustrated look. No one knew what to say.

Morning came all too quickly.

They entered another clothing store, where Ren spotted the shopkeeper huddled in a corner shyly. After selling their five pieces of amber, Jaune stared at the Soldier's armor, something familiar about it resonating with him. He tucked away for a little privacy after buying it and emerged wearing the Soldier's armor with his Hylian pants and Hylian Hood. Nora also bought one, having found the rupees...somewhere. They weren't going to question Nora for being...Nora.

Jaune stopped and talked to a young boy who wanted to complete his grandfather's dreams of seeing different weapons. Jaune showed him his Traveler's Sword, and the boy gave him a red rupee in thanks. The boy then said the next weapon was the Fire Rod, which none of them had heard of or seen yet. As they headed up to the Ancient Tech lab, Nora stopped to group and pointed to a dye shop. Eyes lit up in excitement as Jaune soon found himself dragged there by his female comrades. Jaune had his armor material (under the metal) and pants dyed white, and his hood dyed yellow under Pyrrha, Ruby, and Yang's instruction. Pyrrha had her Hylian outfit dyed crimson, Nora had hers dyed pink, Ruby had hers dyed black with a red hood, Weiss had hers dyed completely white, and Yang had hers dyed yellow. Blake had her stealth outfit dyed black, and Ren had his stealth outfit dyed green.

After that was taken care of, they got to the top of the hill where the lab was located. "So why that coloration for Jaune?" Daruk asked the girls.

"Jaune is a word in one of the District of Remnant's languages meaning yellow. He had to have some yellow, but he wouldn't pull off the look of an entire outfit in yellow." Yang said, "Plus he has a heroic, selfless, 'white knight' attitude, so we made his outfit match."

"Sorry about the armor...it just seems...familiar..." Jaune said, "I didn't have enough for the armor's legging anyway."

"Don't worry about it." Pyrrha said, "The armor on the legging may weigh you down a bit in battle, but you better protected your vital organs. As for familiarity, it's possible you wore something like this before."

With that, they pushed open the door to the lab.

They approached a small, white-haired girl in large glasses. "Hello." She said, "This is the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. Do you have some business with the director?" She asked.

"That's right." Jaune said kindly.

"The director is in the back." The girl said, "A terribly busy person, that one. Please try to keep it brief." Jaune moved to the man with white hair and got his attention.

"Hello.I imagine you've never seen so many books in one place. Pretty incredible, isn't it? We've gathered all of Hyrule's known literature on ancient civilizations here. As for the actual number of books, well...Hmm? Is that...Those things on your waist? Are those Sheikah... There's no mistaking it. Those are real Sheikah Scrolls, aren't they?! I've actually never seen one in person! If you could just show me the runes on it, I'd be most appreciative." Jaune held up the scroll. "Stasis...ah...Magnesis...yes, yes. The Remote Bomb and Cryonis...and what else? Let's see...So that's it for runes...but...hmmm...Strange...It doesn't seem like you have the basic runes..." Everyone's eyes widened in shock at that statement. "I donn't understand why they're missing. I mean, there are some photos stored on it...There must be some reason... Ah! Where are my manners? I nearly forgot to introduce myself!"

Revali rolled his eyes at that statement.

"My name is Symin. You are...Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora, Ren, Ruby, Yang, Weiss, Blake, Revali, Urbosa, Mipha, and Daruk, right?" He asked.

"How did you know our names?" Ruby asked.

"Lady Impa caught me up to speed." Symin said, "You see...we were told, "A group of young people holding Sheikah Scrolls will appear, and you must do all you can to help them. They will be the hope that awakens from the Slumber of Restoration. Their names will be Jaune, Pyrrha, Ruby, Yang, Mipha, Urbosa, Ren, Nora, Revali, Daruk, and Blake. Oh dear! I forgot to tell you something very important. Director! Listen, Ms. Director! These are real Sheikah Scrolls!" He yelled in the girl's direction.

"Wait. Director?" Blake asked.

"Oh that's right...I haven't introduced our director." He looked at the child, "Ms. Purah happens to be right over there... As the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab Director, Ms. Purah is the world's foremost authority on ancient Hyrule culture."

"Check it!" The girl said, making a cute pose. They quickly moved to the child. "Hey! Heeeeey! Are you surprised?! The director of this laboratory is NOT Symin. It's ME! Snappity snap! Anywaaay, Jauney! Do you remember any dreams from your time in the Slumber of Restoration? You don't look like you've changed much in the last 100 years, but I do see your hair grew longer, and you have the ears of an actual Hylian! You're a Hylian now! Interesting! Well, no matter! I'm just happy everyone is still in one piece..." Jaune gave her a weird look, as did everyone else. "Jauney? What's with the look everyone's giving me? You still remember me, right?"

"We don't remember." Jaune said.

"Really?! Well! I'm so shocked I don't know if I'll ever be able to recover from this! Even though, 100 years ago, I personally took you Jaune to the Shrine of Resurrection after Calamity Ganon fatally wounded you after Link died..." She pleaded.

"I don't remember. I'm sorry." Jaune said sadly.

"Hmmm. As expected." She muttered, writing in a notebook, "After 100 years in the Slumber of Restoration, subjects...have...lost...all...memories. Noted!" Oh, Sorry. I have a bad habit of taking notes rather abruptly like that. It's a charming quirk, isn't it?"

As they continued to talk, they found that Purah looked like a child because of a failed experiment, and to restore function to the Sheikah Scrolls, they had to light the furnace outside the building with a special blue flame. Jaune took out his torch and had everyone else stay inside as he ran the errand himself. By now, it was early afternoon. By the time Purah's guidance stone activated, it was 10:05 pm. Their scrolls pinged that this lab was now set as a travel gate.

"Sorry for the delay." Jaune said as he walked it, "I lit up every stone torch I saw in case it started raining." Then they found another of Purah's quirks as they set up the runes. She loved to hear someone say "Snap!" loudly before doing something. It was then they found what runes were missing.

Camera, Hyrule Compendium, and album.

As Urbosa, Daruk, Revali, and Mipha stared into some pictures, memories flooded them. The same was happening to team RWBY and team JNPR...except for Jaune...He stared at the pictures in confusion. As the others celebrated their returned memories, Jaune just stood silently.

"I...still don't remember." He said, "I mean, I remember my family now...and Link...but the rest...nothing." He then clammed up.

"If it helps, Advisor Ozpin made sure to keep some of the landscape photos Princess Zelda took. Link was Princess Zelda's appointed knight, and you were his brother in all but blood...which means...there's a strong possibility that you accompanied them to all of the places where these pictures were taken!" Purah said excitedly, "This lost memory thing could prove troublesome, but don't lose hope! It just means these pictures could be the missing pieces needed to help restore your lost memories! If my suggestion is correct, I suggest you check in with Impa She knows more about Princess Zelda than even I do!"

Exiting the building after having the Sheikah Sensor and Remote Bombs upgraded, Jaune heard about a farmer who was having her sheep stolen by monsters on Hateno beach. While they were here, Jaune decided to help her out by having the group take care of the beasts. Even with all of them, it was a hard-fought battle as their skills were rusty going against a couple tough black bokoblins, some red bokoblins with bows, and even a black moblin. Returning to the farmer, she repaid them with ten bottles of fresh milk.

They stopped at the clothing shop as Pyrrha sold a ruby she found and bought Jaune the Soldier's Greaves. After having the material under the metal dyed white, she had Jaune put them on as she had his Hylian Tunic dyed white. Pyrrha, Yang, Ruby, and Mipha smiled at him as he came out of a changing room wearing his armor and hood. This look really suited him. The Soldier's Helmet wouldn't have looked good on him, they decided...however, this outfit had the yellow his name had, while giving him the appearance of a brave, mysterious, wandering Knight of Hyrule. As they were leaving town, Jaune spotted a cooking pot and made a Hearty Prime Meat and Rice Bowl. There, they saw men slamming sledgehammers into an old building without a door. Entering it, they found it bare, with a stairway leading to a balcony in a house, a doorway leading to more rooms under the stairway, and overall it had a comfortable, homey feeling.

"Jaune...we've gotta save up money." Pyrrha said as she admired the building, "Because I want you to buy it!" She had never told anyone this; not even her parents. Before she came to Hyrule, she had discovered her talent at a young age. She had already won a couple junior hunter tournaments with her Polarity semblance without being touched.

The Invincible Girl, they called her.

Then, she was sent to main Hyrule as an ambassador. First, to her relief, she wasn't chosen as the leader of Team JNPR. Second, while Weiss and Ren knew who she was, her team leader didn't. He treated her...like a normal girl. This endeared Jaune to her. Her perfect house...wasn't lavish as people would have expected the "Invincible Girl" to have. It was a simple, homey house that could fit a large family if needed, but did not show anything special outside; a garden at most. Simple and unassuming.

This house...fit that bill.

The look of confused shock on Jaune's face was adorable after she said that, too.

That night, the blood moon rose. They heard Ozpin's voice echo through the air around them. "The blood moon rises once again. Please be careful." Yang's fist clenched as all the monsters they killed were returned to life by Ganon's power. Jaune threw an arm around her, and almost recoiled in shock as Yang threw her arms around him and her hair lit up as she held him tight with her eyes flashing red unbeknownst to him before she closed her eyes and held him tightly, shaking in sorrow, anger, and frustration. Jaune said nothing, understanding her feelings, just letting her hold onto him as rain started pouring on him.

"Heh...Thanks Hero...that was Jaune-some!" Yang joked, trying to lighten the mood, which was somewhat successful as Jaune gave a lopsided smirk as others groaned at the bad pun.

One the way back to Kakariko, a female Yiga clan member ambushed the group, but was quickly defeated. She left behind a Mighty Banana and 11 rupees, but also an Electro Elixir from a nearby merchant who had been frightened by the assassin's appearance...and then a bird egg after saving him from Stalkoblins.

Then another Yiga clan member ambushed them, but he was also defeated quickly. Jaune did a backflip over the man's strike and unleashed a blindingly quick series of attacks on him. He left behind a Mighty Banana and 22 rupees. Finding hidden chests with an embazed shield (Which Jaune gave to Pyrrha) and an opal, they also found a Korok nearby. By 8 am, they had made it to the Dueling Peaks Stable. While there, Weiss caught a blue-roan pinto with white markings she named "Stardust", which she registered to her. Compared to Jaune and Ruby's horses, Stardust was really gentle. As they got to a hill heading to Kakariko, another Yiga clan member ambushed them. He was defeated before Daruk could even slam his fists together, leaving his weapon, banana, and 11 rupees.

Without further incidents, they arrived at Kakariko Village at 3pm. Heading to the Great Fairy, Jaune had his soldier's armor and Hylian Hood enhanced, and they all had their complete Hylian outfits enhanced as well. At 5:30, they arrived before Impa. As Jaune stood in front of her, Blake snuck off upstairs, curiosity filling her.

"Huh..." Impa said, "I heard Purah was giving all of you the runaround, but you all seem just fine. Now then...You say only Jaune's memories have not yet been restored?"

"There might be bits and pieces missing, but we got the bigger picture when it comes to our memories." Mipha said.

"Let me see." Impa said, motioning for Jaune's Sheikah Scroll. He handed it to her. "Aha! This is, without a doubt, a picture from the Camera that Princess Zelda used 100 years ago...It could be that if you visit the locations within those pictures, you will be able to restore some of your lost memories. Come back here once you have tried going to at least one of those locations. There is something I wish to give you."

Meanwhile, Blake had ended up in Paya's room, looking over her diary. This time, she wasn't reading out loud, as her cat ears twitched as they listened for anyone coming up the stairs.

Grandmother says that she conspired with Advisor Ozpin and Auntie Purah 100 years ago. They decided to put a group of heroes into a long sleep in order to prepare for an event that was foretold. Since then, Grandmother has been waiting for them to reappear after all these years. I, too, pray that they come soon. For the sake of Hyrule...and for Grandmother's sake as well. After sleeping for ages, the champions have finally awoken. It seems their memories are completely gone. But that hardly mattered to Grandmother. I believe this is the first time I've ever seen her quite so happy. Master Jaune himself looks so gallant...He is the very picture of the hero I always imagined. His blonde sideburns flow like a golden waterfall over his dignified, pointy ears. And the way his hair got perfectly parted to the side, wow! don't know why, but my heart won't stop beating a mile a minute...

Blake snuck downstairs as Impa finished her statement. Her amber eyes drifted over to Paya. She wouldn't tell anyone what she read, for the sake of the extremely shy Sheikah.

Jaune moved outside and spoke to Pikango, a traveling artist wearing traditional Sheikah garb (though he wasn't a Sheikah). After promising to get a picture of the Great Fairy's fountain he moved to the forest and ran back as quickly as he could. "Found it..." Jaune panted.

"Ahhh! You...you found it?! Really?! Are you serious right now?! And if you are, then where's the picture? You remembered to bring the picture, right?" Pikango asked, as Jaune held up the Sheikah Scroll with the album of the Great Fairy's fountain photo pulled up. "...This...is the Great Fairy Fountain? It's certainly beautiful, but...I thought it would be more...sacred and elegant. Well, I am impressed you found it. I want to give you something to show my appreciation, but I don't think I have anything on me...I know! Is there a place you've been seeking? I've traveled all over Hyrule, so I might be able to help you find it."

"Recognize anything?" Jaune asked, holding up what looked like a gateway in front of a snowy mountain.

"A large gate with a snowy mountain beyond it...Oh, I know that place~ There is a big mountain east of this village... It's called Mount Lanayru. At the base of Mount Lanayru, on the west side of Naydra Snowfield, lies that gate. I'm almost certain!" Pikango said, and Jaune's eyes lit up in hope. He remembered his parents and sisters. He remembered Link...He somewhat remembered the others around him, or at least that he was in a team with three of them and friends with the rest...but these places...were the key to the memories he was seeking.

"I'm glad I knew about that location. I suppose my help was useful, then?" Pikango asked.

Next stop, was that location.

In the afterlife...

The Arc family watched over their only son. "I never thought he would become a Hylian." His dad said with a proud gaze.

"I'm just sad I never got to see my little dragoness and rose grow up." Summer Rose, wearing her signature white cloak, said as she gazed proudly at her children (well, daughter and step-daughter, but she still considered Yang "her daughter" after Raven abandoned her.)

"They've blossomed just like their mother." Taiyang said, gazing proudly at his daughters on a quest to save Hyrule. Link said nothing, just smiling proudly at his "brother" as Zelda grabbed his hand.

"I just...wish...that I could speak to them again." Summer said, and the Arc family nodded in agreement. Qrow sat farther back, listening in as he pretended to sleep.

"You may get the chance, one day." A beautiful woman in red with red hair and fire around her arms said as a golden glow surrounded her. "The time isn't right yet. The new Chosen Hero's memories are still fragile...right now it's best not to overwhelm him. When he recovers all of his memories, it will be time."

"Just listen to Din." Qrow spat out, "Things like this happen all the time. Life isn't fair."

"Your own Semblance has made you cynical to the world, bringing misfortune to you and those around you." Din said, as a massive, Snake-like dragon wreathed in fire flew around her and exited through a portal. "Dinraal and Farosh will keep their eyes on them as they spot them while Naydra awaits as a test for the Hero. They bear no ill to him, as they serve the gods. In fact, they may even willingly shed claws, scales, horns, and fangs to help the heroes on their journey." The flaming dragon, Dinraal, had completely exited the portal by now as the scene turned to a greenish-yellow dragon surrounded by orbs of electricity flying around Lake Hylia. "Farosh there has seen the group. It seems she, the spirit of lightning, has taken a shine to the young Hylian Arc. Although, that could be because he knelt when he saw her and gazed in awe."

"Wait. Those dragons are GIRLS?!" Taiyang said, "Not that I have anything against girls...you just...can't tell with those dragons."

"Dinraal, Farosh, Naydra. They are named after me and my sisters Nayru and Farore. Of course they're girls...but they are also spirits of Nature itself." Din said, as Jaune stared out of the exit to Kakariko to start his trip to the gate seen in that picture as the rest of the group was asleep. He was going to prove...that he was strong...that he could live up to Link as the Heir of the Master Sword.

He needed to do this...to silence the doubts in his mind.

Jaune Arc's current Aura level 7/30

What is the announcement? Well...It's something I've never done before. After this story is done...THERE WILL BE A SEQUEL! "Remnants of Hyrule" It will be about restoring the Kingdom of Hyrule and the districts of Atlas, Vale, Vaccuo, and Mistral to their former glory. Of course, this means that SOME technology has been lost. While weapons can still transform...bullets and cars have been lost. Not to worry, we still have bullheads...though in MUCH more limited supply. No more massive air fleet...more like three to six at most for cargo and hunter transport.

The damage the Guardians did was massive with the rise of Calamity Ganon.

Instead, we see dust-infused arrows and weapons that we see in-game; Flameblade, Great Flameblade, Flamespear, Thunderblade, Great Thunderblade, Thunderspear, Frostblade, Great Frostblade, Frostspear, Bomb Arrows, Shock Arrows, Flame Arrows, and Ancient Arrows. I liken "Mipha's Grace" in Breath of the Wild to "Canon Jaune's Semblance"; supercharging aura to heal. Revali's Gale supercharges Jaune's Aura to create an updraft, Daruk's Protection supercharges it to form a transparent red "boulder" around the user, and Urbosa's Fury supercharges aura into lightning.

So...bullets are gone, but we have arrows...what does that mean?

It means...WE GET TO MAKE UP WEAPON DESIGNS!

So...Crocea Mors...Jaune's canon weapon...has been replaced by the Master Sword. In Remnants of the Wild, I can see Jaune's family (since Jaune was sent as an "ambassador" picked by Ozpin at a young age to Hyrule) having used it against the Guardians; but with it ended up being destroyed by the Yiga throwing the weapon that defied Ganon into lava.

Thus we have our "lovable weapon expert" (As Jaune will call her) Ruby Rose. She will (spoiler alert) study weapons picked up by Jaune to learn their secrets. In canon, we see her being a weapon expert, picking up on abilities of weapons quickly. In my story, it is her Sheikah Blood that allows her to delve deeper on this. Her first creation will be her beloved "baby", Crescent Rose. She takes the length of a Savage Lynal Spear, alters the blade to curve like a Viscous Sickle, has the "wind slicing" effect of a Windcleaver, and adds an arrow launching section at the other end. She delves into the Phenric Bow's ability to let the user "Zoom in" on a target. It works...somewhat...

It can only fire Shock Arrows.

Yang's Ember Celica will live up to it's name more. Ruby takes the guantlets from a Hylan tunic, adds sections for Fire Dust, and coats it in armor plating in protective, sturdy metal from the Savage Lynal Crusher, and the metal from a Great Flameblade, which retains it's shape in immense heat. It also adds a second mode; Flame Arrow launcher.

Weiss's Myrnaster (I always think I spell it wrong) takes the shape of her Zora sword, improves durability, and adds the Frostblade's dust ability.

Blake's Shroud will take the single-edged sharpness and shape of an Eightfold blade, attach a chain of a Savage Lynal Crusher, and have a Bomb Arrow Launcher section on the other end based on technology of Golden Bow.

Lie Ren's Stormflower will launch Ice arrows with technology from a Phenric Bow ("Zoom in" ability) and Falcon Bow (rate of Fire), with blades designed like a Serpentine Spear attached to the launchers for efficient CQC abilities.

Nora Valkyrie's Magnhild will have the shape on an Iron Sledgehammer, the handle length of Royal Guard's Spear, a Bomb Arrow launcher in the bottom end of the handle, and a section for bomb dust in the "heavy" end of Magnhild as she devised similar technology as the Drillshaft used by Gorons.

Pyrrha Niko's Milo is rather simple...kinda...It basically takes a Gerudo Spear, Shapes the side blades like the Ceremonial Trident, adds an Ancient/Aura Arrow Launcher in the hilt based on the Golden Bow. However, one side of the spear has a blade going from the side prongs downwards slightly with technology from a Windcleaver.

This leaves Jaune Arc...and his Master Sword. After this story ends, the Master Sword no longer loses it's power; having fully recovered. It's true power comes out quickly, in the presence of Grimm or those filled with "evil". (Think of how it acts within Hyrule Castle or a Divine Beast under Ganon's control). Ruby doesn't touch the sword out of respect for the Heroes that fought with it. Now that the cycle is broken, it is now the "new Arc Family Sword". She does, however, take the Sheath. Ruby then takes a look at the structure of a Hylian Shield, Royal Guard's Shield, and Ancient Shield. She then makes a transforming Sheath for the Master Sword.

The newly named "Arc Shield" Has the shape of the Hylian Shield with a similar design (bird under the Triforce) with the Arc Family Symbol replacing the metal lines bordering the Triforce. The Shield remains blue and gold (Sheath colors of the Master Sword), has the defensive capabilities of a Hylian Shield (nearly indestructible), stopping power of a Royal guard's Shield, and a Aura-deflecting ability mimicking the Ancient Shield's Guardian Beam Reflection.

Does anyone approve of these designs?
