Remnants of the Wild

Zora's Domain

Jaune left Hateno Village in the early afternoon heading North with the remaining group heading in a northern direction. They kept course until the reached a waterfall by a lake, where Jaune found an opal. While Mipha easily swam up the waterfall with Revali flying over it, the others were left climbing the cliffs. Jaune, with his stamina having taken a heavy blow while healing, needed to pause on out jutting cliffs regularly to recover, but didn't let it stop him from scaling the cliff. The sun was starting to set by the time Jaune reached the top, however. A heavy southern wind nearly blew some of them back down, but they helped each other and kept going strong. They then didn't risk it by heading West along the top of the cliff before going North, avoiding Mount Lanayru. Foxes and birds foraged across the ground, scattering as they moved past. On their way, Jaune teleported as he saw another shooting star hit Hyrule. He ran to the entryway to the river where the Zora called out to him as he encountered a Hinox, before a Spiked Moblin club destroyed some nearby Stalkoblins as two spears attacked Kesee. Yang, Pyrrha, and Mipha gave him a thumbs up as he turned his focus on the Hinox after claiming the star fragment.

Despite it's foul stench and massive size, Jaune showed no immediate fear as he started fighting the beast. Things were going well for Jaune when a lucky strike from the flailing beast sent hm skidding back with a bit of his aura drained. Still, it did not deter him as he simply stood up and kept fighting. He flinched as his Guardian sword shattered, but pulled out his Traveler's sword and kept fighting. The beast kept getting wise to his moves and did some more damage, but Jaune jumped back and threw his heavily damaged iron sledgehammer into it's eye as it turned black and exploded into smoke. As he picked up fruit and weapons left behind, Jaune munched on some roasted bass to recover his aura as Yang, Pyrrha, and Mipha checked over him as he gave them a lopsided grin.

Once they made sure he was fine, Daruk patted his back for facing such a large creature before they headed across a wooden bridge system. Pyrrha threw her throwing spear into an Otorok to kill it and used her Semblance to call the weapon back into her hands. Just as they reached the end of the bridge, a Zora named Tottika stopped them, eyes locking onto Jaune and missing Mipha as she hid behind Yang.

"Oh! Hey!" Tottika said, "This is the first time I've seen one! I'm Tottika of the Zora! Aren't you...a Hylian? You ARE, aren't you?! Yes, I can tell! You are most certainly a Hylian! As fate would have it, our Prince Sidon is looking for a Hylian like you. The prince is at Inogo Bridge right now. Will you consent to go and see him? mean, you don't have to if you don't want to..."

"Don't worry. I'm going to see him." Jaune cut him off. As they approached the bridge, Jaune cut to the left as his Shrine sensor went off. Arriving at the Soh Kofi Shrine, the others talked with a female Zora warrior as Jaune went into it. There, he had another test of strength. As he emerged, he first pointed at the tower, then at the bridge nearby. They would meet Sidon after going to activate the tower. Blake drooled as her cat ears twitched with her gaze locked on the fish in the river as Jaune caught a couple Hearty Bass. One the way up the slopes, rain started pouring non stop on them as Jaune tossed Yang another Spiked Boko Bat he got from a slain Lizalfos. After clearing a nearby camp of Bokoblins, Jaune gave Pyrrha a Soldier's Spear before finding a Silver Bow which was given to Ren. Using a nearby cooking pot, Jaune made some Hearty Fred Wild Greens, Hearty Fried Egg and Rice, Energizing Seafood Skewer, Mighty Seafood Skewer, and Tough Seafood Skewer. Blake's mouth watered at the smell of the seafood, as he gave her an extra Tough Seafood Skewer he made. An Ice Wizrobe up the hill gave them a bit of trouble, but they managed to beat it as Jaune scarfed down an apple as Mipha helped refill his aura reserves. Finally, they arrived at Lanayru Tower as Pyrrha turned and suddenly kissed Jaune on the cheek before starting to climb the tower. He blinked in surprise and sat down as Mipha and Yang laughed at his stunned expression.

"Renny! I just realized something important!" Nora said, as Ren calmly glanced at his crush, "What if Sloths are extinct?!" Before Ren could answer her, the tower turned blue and activated and a map of the area downloaded to their scrolls.

Once again on the path to Inogo Bridge, they were stopped by a strong voice calling out to Jaune. "Say, hey there! Young one! Up top! Above you!"

A red Zora male jumped down from the bridge and stood nearly two heads taller than Jaune wearing a sash, a fancy sword, and an ascot. "Say, Pardon the entrance, but you're a Hylian, aren't you? I was hoping perhaps we'd have a moment to talk."

"Yes." Jaune said, and he gave a big smile as he saw another Zora. "SISTER!" He said, hugging Mipha.

"Mipha?! You're...a Princess?!" Jaune asked.

"Uh...surprise?" She said meekly. Prince Sidon smiled as he turned his gaze back at Jaune.

"Aha! A Hylian! Yes, I knew it! Oh, Pardon me...I am Sidon, the Zora Prince!" He said, holding his arm up in a proud pose with a large grin. "And what is your name?"

"Jaune." He replied.

"Jaune? Your name is Jaune?! What a fantastic name! Hmm. though I cannot shake the feeling that I have heard it somewhere before...Well, in any case, it is a strong name! To be honest, I've been watching you. I've seen the way you work. I can tell by how you carry yourself that you are no ordinary person." Sidon said, "Jaune! You must be a strong warrior among the Hylians, correct?"

"That's right!" Yang cut in, nudging Jaune.

"Aha! Just as I suspected!" Sidon said as he held his arms outwards, "I am a Zora prince, after all. I have an eye for talent that is unparalleled! Yes! Exquisite! I have been searching for someone like you for a long while. A man like you, Jaune, who carries himself with power! Right now, Zora's Domain is in grave danger because of the massive rainfall coming from Divine Beast Vah Ruta." Mipha let out a gasp as she saw the rain still come down nonstop and jumped into the river, swimming off ahead.

"Please, promise you will help us! We need your strength, warrior! Won't you please come to Zora's Domain with me?" Sidon asked.

"Sure thing." Jaune said with a determined gaze.

"Wow! Really?! Thank you, Jaune! You are indeed the man I thought you were! Now Zora's Domain will be saved for certain! No time to waste! Hurry up and head over! Because of the rain, the cliffs are too wet to climb. To reach the domain, you will need to go straight along this path. As a Hylian, I know you are unable to swim up the river. As such, the path to the domain may be a bit treacherous. You likely have a tough fight in store-there are monsters up ahead that attack with electricity. Don't give up! I believe in you!" Sidon said, making the pose from earlier. "Oh that's right! I have something that I would like to give to you! This is just a small trinket to show that I have faith in you." With that Sidon handed him an Electro Elixir.

"It is a drink that will increase your resistance to electricity! I am not sure why, but its effects do not seem to work for Zora. Perhaps because it was made specifically for Hylians. It should work wonders for you, though! I shall go on ahead and make sure there is not anything strange going on where you are headed. I'm counting on you!" With that said, Sidon did a backflip and vanished into the water.

As Sidon said, there were a lot of Lizalfos using shock arrows along the pathway. All the time, the constant downpour of rain made puddles that amplified any electricity striking it, this required Ren and Jaune to pull out their bows and attack from a distance. The first chunk of the pathway was fine; with ordinary Lizalfos and Octoroks. Sidon would tell them as they got closer and closer to Zora's domain and warn them about any monsters ahead. About halfway, Jaune and the others got a message from Mipha that she was at the entrance to Zora's Domain. Nora and Jaune were forced to change out of their armor as lightning started to flash across the sky, lest they get struck. Well, Nora didn't and got a nice boost when a bolt of lightning struck her. At the halfway point, as they got Mipha's message, Jaune changed back into his armor. Along the way, Pyrrha picked up a Zora Spear, with Yang picking up a Soldeir's Claymore. On one bridge past halfway, they were ambushed by a Moblin with a Moblin Club. This was the weapon they needed to show the boy in Hateno Village, so Jaune stored the weapon after defeating the beast. When they defeated a lightning wizrobe, Nora picked up and stored it's Lightning Rod.

When one of the Moblins near the last bridge swiped at Jaune, they were amazed as he back-flipped over it and with speed rivaling Ruby's unleashed a flurry of attacks. By the time they saw Mipha at the entryway of the last bridge, they were tired, sore, and some of their muscles were twitching from the shock arrows, but a sigh of relief came from them as they saw the Domain. Mipha jumped into Jaune's arms and stunned him by kissing him on the cheek Pyrrha kissed earlier.

The Domain glowed in the night, appearing like a dim star of silver, water, and glowing columns. A fish-shaped decoration was a the top as a statue of Mipha holding an ornate trident was near the main entrance. Sidon ran over to the group.

"Whoa! I've been waiting for you, Jaune!" He said, making that pose, "Welcome! Behold the pride of my people, Zora's Domain! Now I shall introduce you to the king. Hurry, this way!" With that, Sidon walked up the stairway to the right. Jaune moved to the stairway, but was stopped by a guard.

"Huh? What is it?! Master Jaune! Is it truly you? The new Hylian Champion?! It's me! Rivan! We used to swim together when I was but a child...Remember?" He said.

"That sounds familiar..." Jaune said, something tugging at the back of his mind.

"Well, it has been 100 years since then. And now I'm over 130 years old...I must say that you've aged unbelievably well...Now that I think about it-shouldn't you be dead? Sorry. That may be too personal a question."

"Ahem. Father...We are on guard duty right now." A female Zora on the other side of the walkway called out to Rivan.

"Oh, right...Sorry. The leader of the pack, Bazz...The heroine, Gaddison...and my father, Trello...They have all aged quite a bit, I'm afraid. But they are all doing well. Oh...but Master Jaune, you probably shouldn't speak to the elderly. Oops! Sorry for keeping you too long. You have business in the throne room, right? Please proceed there at your earliest convenience." First, Jaune went straight ahead to the Ne'ez Yohma Shrine as Ren gave Nora a Silver Longsword he found behind the shrine. After Jaune emerged with his second Spirit Orb, they met with the Zora King. They passed an elderly Zora man shocking himself trying to pick up a shock arrow.

Jaune moved to the podium as a Zora with a stingray-shaped head gazed at him with distrust as Mipha stood behind Jaune.

"Ah. You must be the Hylian that Sidon brought here, correct?" The whale-like King said, "You did well to come all the way here! I am King Dorephan, ruler of the Zora. Hm? That object upon your waist...is that not a Sheikah Scroll?! HMMM?! Now that I have gotten a good look at you, it is all too clear who you are...You are the second Hylian Champion, Jaune! Do not tell me you have forgotten me..."

"The Second Hylian Champion? You can't mean THE Jaune? THAT Champion?!" Sidon asked in amazement, "So that's where I have heard your name before! What a fateful coincidence that we should cross paths!"

"I cannot believe it. The Hylian Champion, Jaune, has appeared before us... We have met numerous times, I'll have you know." The king said, "Ah...So many memories! My mind is overflowing with nostalgia, my friend. I had heard a terrible rumor that you had fallen in combat, but it appears you managed to survive. Extraordinary!"

"I was badly injured and lost my memory." Jaune said.

"Come again? You say you have lost your memory? But surely you must remember my precious daughter, Mipha, yes? She is right behind you." The king asked.

"Somewhat...but not of the past with her." Jaune admitted.

"I cannot believe it...You forgotten the times you spent with Mipha before the Calamity as well? You and Mipha were so close..." Mipha's face blushed at that. "Young hero...Please look upon the beauty of Zora's Domain. Well, actually, perhaps your memory will return in time."

"I am getting pieces as I am traveling." Jaune said, making the king smile.

"Father...I don not believe discussing his past with my sister is helping matters at the moment. You're confusing him." Sidon said.

"Oh? Yes, of course. But first, it is worth noting how remarkable it is that Sidon brought a Champion here without realizing it, along with the bold teams RWBY and JNPR. That is quite a feat, my boy! Wah ha ha! That is a good one! Jaune, I doubt not that you have endured a great many trials. Still, I must ask you to hear my plea." The king said, "Now then. Hero...I must inform you that Zora's Domain is in danger of vanishing because of Divine Beast Vah Ruta. shall do you the courtesy of speaking bluntly. We alone cannot stop this beast. Will you lend us your strength?"

"What?!" The stingray-headed Zora protested, "King Dorephan! My liege! Please do not speak so! To ask a Hylian to help...Why the very thought of it curls my fins!"

"Muzu, I expected more of you. How can you still protest?" The king asked.

"Muzu! It is rude to speak that way to your king and his guests. Jaune is here because I invited him! With such unprecedented rainfall, we have no choice but to rely on the aid of a trustworthy Hylian. Have we not already discussed this and arrived at that very conclusion? He is the key to saving Zora's Domain. I have no doubt in my mind." Prince Sidon said in Jaune's defense.

"Indeed. Jaune is a Champion, through and through! Heir to Link and the Sword that Seals the Darkness." The king agreed, "As things now stand, Zora's Domain...Nay! Perhaps all of Hyrule...is doomed to be swallowed by the sea. This is bigger than all of us, my friend. Zora and Hylians alike must put aside our differences and band together."

"Have you forgotten already, my king?! We cannot trust these lowly Hylians! A hundred years ago, they abused the power of an ancient civilization and turned Hyrule into what it is today!" Muzu growled out, "And that is not the least of it! It is their fault that Lady Mipha went missing for 100 years..." Muzu was forced to jump back as Mipha threw her Throwing Spear, which shattered at Muzu's feet.

"Jaune. Divine Beast Vah Ruta has great power. It has the unique ability to create an endless supply of water. Of late it has been mercilessly spouting water into the air. As a result, this area has been plagued by heavy rains. For us Zora, water and air are as one, so you would not think this would be quite so critical of a problem. Sadly. the rains have filled the eastern reservoir nearly to the point of flooding. If the reservoir bursts, as it soon will, I fear immense damage will befall not only Zora's Domain...but also the area downstream from us. There, Hylian lives are in very grave danger." King Dorephan said, before a mechanical elephant-like call echoed.

"The Divine beast is calling out again." King Dorephan said. The area shook as a stone, metal and mechanical elephant rose from water in the reservoir, calling out.

"The Divine Beast Vah Ruta... Your princess, Zelda, often studied the Divine Beasts with Advisor Ozpin. That is, in the time before the Great Calamity. According to her research, the orbs located on Ruta's shoulders..." King Dorephan said, "are mechanisms that can control the water it generates. However, they require electricity to work. These orbs are clearly out of control now because there is no electricity coursing through to stop them."

"Seggin, who is quite shock resistant for a Zora, hit one with a shock arrow. Sure enough, it slowed the water a bit." Sidon explained, "Unfortunately, as an aquatic race, we Zora are terribly vulnerable to the power of electricity. Perhaps because we could not safely strike it with enough electricity at once, the water soon returned to its full force. That is why I went in search of a Hylian who could help us!" He finished, posing. "Jaune, I am certain you have already figured this out, but...We need you to use shock arrows to get those orbs working properly again! I will aid you in any way I can, of course. Please, hero...I beg of you. Help me stop uta's rampage of destruction!"

"Advisor Ozpin told me to appease it from within." Jaune said.

"Whaaaat?!" King Dorephan said as he leaned closer to Jaune, "Advisor Ozpin himself instructed you to board the Divine Beast and appease it from within? So then...Advisor Ozpin is still alive?"

"Yes, in Hyrule Castle." Jaune admitted.

"I don not believe it...He was alive this whole time, just as you were! The events of 100 years ago cannot be altered, it is true. But if we can regain control of the Divine Beasts...they may yet prove useful in sealing Calamity Ganon once and for all!" The king summarized.

"I did not know you had such grand ambitions, Jaune..." Prince Sidon said, "Wondrous! Naturally, I shall help too! Once it has stopped rampaging, you can easily climb inside it. Come, Jaune! Let us appease Ruta together!"

"I'm in. Let's do this!" Jaune said, mimicking Sidon's pose.

"Thank you, Jaune. Truly. We are in your debt." The King said with a deep laugh. "Our goal is the same. That means our meeting was nothing short of destiny. Now then, allow me to offer you this gift as a show of faith." He handed Jaune a piece of Zora armor. "So long as you wear this, you can ascend waterfalls just like a Zora. Please take good care of it."

"King Dorephan!" Muzu shouted, "Surely you do not really intend to give this outsider the Zora armor! Countless generations of Zora princesses have gifted that armor to the one they have sworn to marry! Princess Mipha made that one there with her own hands! It is far too important to entrust to a shady Hylian! Why should HE receive such and honor? This is just too much, my liege..." With that, he stormed off.

"Hmph. That Muzu is not easily swayed once his mind is set. You must understand...He was in charge of educating my dear daughter, Mipha. Naturally, she means a lot to him...just as she means the world to us. Ever since she went missing for 100 years to the Calamity, he has grown to despise Hylians. I hope you can forgive his rudeness. Hmm, but what shall we do now? I tasked Muzu with finding the shock arrows we will need to appease Vah Ruta. But now he has rushed off in a huff..." The king pondered.

"Jaune." Sidon said, "Don not let his words concern you. Mipha and I shall work this out with Muzu. We shall return shortly." With that, the Sidon and Mipha left after Muzu.

"Jaune..." The king said after muttering something inaudible, "Muzu is most likely at the square down below. Would you mind going down there? I would like you to try to speak with him." Jaune went behind the throne room and changed into the Zora armor before testing it by scaling up the waterfalls to Toto Lake. There, using Magnesis, he found a chest with a Zora Helm, which he put on. He then teleported to Hateno to rest, and show the boy the Moblin club. As he got into his house, he heard noises from the basement, as he noticed the swords and axe were gone, as were the Phrenic Bow, Ancient Shield and Shield of the Mind's eye. Jaune sat at the table as Ruby emerged, wearing an apron covered in oil and dust.

"Jaune!" She shouted, jumping onto him and kissing his forehead, "This is amazing! I've nearly discovered the secrets to the Thunderblade and Flameblades! As well as the way the technology works for the axe and shield!"

Jaune smiled warmly at her before slowly climbing up the stairs and collapsing in bed until noon. He then left a Silver Bow on the bow rack for her and showed the boy the Moblin club. This got him a purple rupee. The next weapon on the list was the Duplex bow; which he never heard of. Teleporting back to the shrine in Zora's Domain, he met up with Mipha, Muzu, and Sidon by Mipha's statue. Mipha, as a gift from her father, now had the Lightscale Trident on her back.

Muzu gazed upon the armor and helm Jaune was wearing..."How...How could you have made such armor...for...HIM?!" He asked as he turned to Mipha, "He doesn't remember the past. Jaune stared at Mipha's statue, and with a gasp remembered something.

They were on Divine Beast Vah Ruta, with Mipha healing injuries he got from a Lynel. She talked about how they first met with Link, and she would always heal him when he got hurt constantly, and was always willing to heal him. As the injuries vanished, she asked about what to do against Calamity Ganon, but vowed to always heal him anytime...that she would always protect him...and asked if things could go back to how they were as kids, and spend time together.

Muzu grumbled about the coincidence of Jaune remembering his past with Mipha. Then, Mipha told him to look closely at Jaune's armor...

"What?!" Muzu said, "Lady Mipha made that by hand...and yet it fits you perfectly!" After a while, he submitted and said, "That tall mountain over yonder...it is called Ploymus Mountain, and there you will also find Shatterback Point. A terrifying creature has made its home up there This awful beast shoots volley after volley of shock arrows. Even a single one could be fatal to a Zora."

"Aha!" Sidon exclaimed, "You must mean that Lynel! He is a man-beasst, that one! That beast does indeed wield shock arrows. That is certainly one way to collect them quickly. He is viscous, to be sure. But I am certain Jaune will rise to the challenge."

"In order to appease the Divine Beast, I estimate that you will need...hmmm...at least 20 shock arrows." Muzu said, "Do you think you can gather that many?"

"Why do you still doubt him, Muzu?" Sidon asked, "I have no doubt he will be triumphant! Ok Jaune. Let's get moving. The fastest way to Ploymous Mountain is to ascend the waterfall east of the domain. That Zora armor should come in handy. Just swim up to the waterfall basin, and then go up the waterfall from there! I'll wait at the East Reservoir Lake, right by the Divine Beast. Gather at least 20 shock arrows, and then come join me!"

"I will be waiting there too!" Mipha said, "I am the one chosen to pilot the Divine Beast!"

"I'm on it!" Jaune said.

"Wonderful!" Sidon replied, "Together we shall stop that Divine Beast's onslaught!"

Jaune scaled the waterfall and ended up at Shatterback Point. A female Zora had asked him to take a picture of the Lynel to dissuade Zora's from going up there. After ending up at the top of the waterfalls, Jaune changed back into his armor. On the way to the location of the Lynel, Jaune picked up four shock arrows, and when he took a picture, the Lynel charged him and took a chunk of his Aura. After a long fought battle that lasted until the evening, Jaune slayed the beast without any further damage. From where it vanished into smoke, he picked up a Lynel Shield, Lynel hoof, two Lynel horns, a Lynel Sword, 20 shock arrows, and a three shot Lynel Bow. Jaune knew the last one would be one Ruby would like to study.

Now without the beast, Jaune could easily pick up the 26 shock arrows he found embedded in trees and rocks, giving him 54 shock arrows when he saw another shooting star. This one landed too far away for Jaune to see it, so he just shrugged it off. He had something more important to do anyway. Teleporting back to Zora's Domain, he showed the Zora girl the picture, and got Zora Greaves her father made; the very last pair before his armor shop closed.

"Mipha Do you mind if I dye the armor to match your scales?" Jaune texted Mipha.

"Go ahead :)" He got a reply almost instantly. He didn't know that Mipha shared his text with Pyrrha, Yang, and Ruby and got their approval as well.

Teleporting to Hateno, he paid to have the complete Zora armor dyed red. Seeing as it was turning into night, Jaune rested at his house, putting the Lynal 3 shot bow on the bow rack to replace the now missing Knight's Bow Ruby was working on. While the rest of Team (R)WBY and (J)NPR wanted to help out Jaune on the Divine Beast...They didn't want to upset the Zora King and Prince, who specifically asked Jaune to help. Instead, they helped where they could around Zora's Domain. There was a lot to do there, as the Divine Beast had done a lot of damage. Visiting the Great Fairy Cotera first, Jaune had his complete Zora armor enhanced, as well as his Climber's Bandana. Then he went back to Zora's Domain and headed to the East Reservoir Lake. Once there, he saw Mipha dive off the dock and talked to Sidon.

"Glad to see you're ready to go, Jaune!" Sidon said as he posed, "Are you ready for this? Do you have your Zora armor and enough shock arrows?"

"I'm ready!" Jaune said with a determined gaze.

"Wonderful!" Sidon responded, You never cease to amaze, Jaune! Now then, let us go and appease that Divine Beast as one! Here we go!" With that, Sidon did a corkscrew back-flip into the lake. "Gaze now upon the Divine Beast's back! Do you see those glowing, pink orbs? You will need to shoot each of them with a shock arrow! With your Zora armor, you now have the ability to ascend waterfalls!" Jaune took notice of the waterfalls on the Divine Beast below the orbs. "So I shall take you right up to the side of the Divine Beast, and from there you can swim up and take aim! I know you can do it! I believe in you! Now hurry up and get on my back!" Jaune hopped into the water and grabbed onto Sidon's back.

"Ha! I am unstoppable in the water! It's up to you to ward off Ruta's attacks! It will hurl ice blocks at us while I will keep going at full speed!" Sidon said, as Ruta gave a loud call and formed ice blocks. Jaune knocked them away with an arrow before Sidon took him to a waterfall, which Jaune swam up. Hitting an orb with a shock arrow, Jaune landed and climbed on Sidon's back as it formed more ice blocks and hurled it at the two, with Jaune knocking them away with arrows. After repeating this three more times, with different orbs and recieving damage from oncoming mines of ice, Ruta stopped spouting water while moving upwards. Mipha hopped onto the platform as Sidon launched Jaune onto the platform.

"Show the enemy no fear. I will see you back at Zora's Domain." Sidon said, as the Divine Beast stood higher out of reach, "Finish the job..."

"Well, here we are...Divine Beast Vah Ruta." Mipha said, as Jaune scanned his Shiekah Scroll on a pedestal and registered the Divine Beast as a travel gate.

"You're here..." A voice called out. "I was one of the Sheikah that stayed behind while my comrades got the injured Champion Mipha off the Divine Beast. I must say, that I'm glad to see this day finally arrive. Now Ruta can be freed of Ganon's control. You'll need a map to prevent you from getting lost. I can't do much...but I can activate the Guidance Stone that contains the information you need."

Jaune switched into his armor for better protection as he shot an eye surrounded by black and red "goop", which made the goop disappear. A tiny Guardian shot at them, but was destroyed by a single swipe of Jaune's Soldier's Claymore, and he picked up it's parts. Doing the same to another eye cleared whatever that substance was from a gate which Jaune propped open using Cryosis. Now placing his Scroll in the Guidance stone, a map of Vah Ruta downloaded to their connected scrolls. As Mipha used Magnesis to lift a structure out of the water, the voice rang out again.

"Good! You've obtained the map of the Divine Beast. You will see several glowing points on your map which represent the terminals that control Ruta. Take Ruta back by activating all of the terminals. Be careful."

Mipha realized that what she raised was a terminal and activated it with her scroll. One down, four to go. Black wisps and red flame-like lights floated all across Ruta. Going up a flight, Jaune got a Guardian Sword and parts from another small Guardian. The second terminal was activated by stopping a water wheel. Killing another eye with a mouth-like structure in the substance, they moved up another flight. Using the scroll, Mipha moved Ruta's nose to make the second water-wheel then floated into the terminal section while the gate was open and activated it. Jaune then floated to one of the spokes of the wheel and rode it up to a different section, activating a button to create a waterfall for Mipha to climb up. Killing another eye, Jaune noticed he was low on arrows, so he switched to shock arrows.

Mipha then lowered it's nose so Jaune could float to the terminal on it. On the tip of it's nose, Mipha lifted the nose via her control to make it point upwards, then back once Jaune was at the terminal so he could reach it. Jaune had killed an eye on the nose, and now he killed another one to move another crank with Magnesis. This opened a section of the roof where the last terminal was surrounded by fire. Mipha moved the nose until the water from the nose fell through the opening to put out the fire. After Mipha activated the last terminal, the voice told them to start the main control unit. Having a unsettling feeling in their guts, they ate the Hearty Fried Wild Greens to boost their Aura reserves. Pressing his scroll on the main control unit, the black substance rose from it, forming a floating beast, It was black with red markings, sharp claws on it's right hand, a glowing blue "guardian spear" on it's left, and a white, bone-like mask with two horns around a single blue eye with a red mane behind it.

"Be careful." The voice sounded. "That Grimm is one of Ganon's creations. I put up as much as a fight as I could, but it lead to my demise and Mipha needing the Shrine of Resurrection. Regardless, I believe you two are well prepared for this moment. They were facing...

WaterGrimm Ganon.

It thrust outwards with its spear, and Mipha rolled away as Jaune hopped to the side and launched a flurry of attacks so intense, his Knight's Claymore started to crack. Seeing the cracks, Jaune threw it into the beast, with it shattering on contact as he took out his Guardian Spear. Jumping over a swipe, Jaune attacked it until it screeched and raised the water in the room with four platforms. Mipha dove under the water as Jaune hopped onto a platform. Jaune hit it's eye with a shock arrow and then attacked it from above as Mipha stabbed it from below with her Lightscale Trident. With it raising up, Jaune shot it with a shock arrow and it let out a loud screech as it coilded around in the air and black spurts of that substance comprising it burst from it's body as it exploded in a cloud of smoke and purple light, as Jaune felt his Aura reserves increase by a single chunk. The water returned to normal as Mipha leaned against Jaune and pressed her lips to his in an intense kiss before she activated the main terminal as Jaune was still stunned. He had taken some blows from it swinging it's spear when forming, but nothing major to his boosted Aura.

"Because of your courage, Ruta is now free. Now...I can fulfill my duty by controling Ruta...now, with your Hero's Adaptability active.." She said, with Jaune glowing gold, "You will need my healing power...please accept...Mipha's Grace." Mipha said, launching a blue orb of Aura into Jaune's body. The golden glow faded as gold sparks surrounded Jaune. "Ruta and I are pleased to play the role of support...we will annihilate Ganon together!"

With that, Jaune was sent out of Ruta in a flurry of golden sparks as Mipha turned to Ruta's controls.

The glowing red markings turned blue as Ruta let out a call and vanished underwater, no longer spurting water. It reappeared in the river, moving quickly for such a large beast. Then, it vanished underwater and spurted outwards on top of a mountain with a shower of water, rearing up and letting a loud cry. It's nose pointed forward as a red beam formed between it's tusks and struck Hyrule Castle.

"Using your power to drain Ganon of his power will be key to helping Jaune and the others. If we seal Ganon away...peace will be restored to Hyrule...and your duty will be fulfilled." She said, her scroll active and sending a recording to her allies.

Jaune reappeared at the entrance to Zora's domain, where he was hugged by both Yang and Pyrrha as Nora jumped excitedly, talkinga mile a minute about her "fearless leader" as Ren gave a nod of approval. Blake seemed content at no longer getting soaked by the rain, and Weiss gave him a quick nod. They were then quickly escorted by a crowd of Zoras to King Dorephan.

"Jaune! You did well to survive your trial! I have been awaiting your return!" The king exclaimed, "The violent downpour has disappeared, as has the threat to Zora's Domain! It is all little more than a bad dream now. Thanks to your efforts, there is no longer any danger of a great flood laying waste to Hyrule. You appeased the Divine Beast ah Ruta and thusly saved Zora's Domain! We are all truly grateful! hat you did for us is more than we could have ever expected of you."

"Jaune." Muzu said, "I must sincerely apologize for my harsh treatment of you. That whole time, you were thinking of Hyrule's and Lady Mipha's well-being, just like the rest of us. All of the members of our council humbly fold our fins back in gratitude, along with the rest of our people. Perhaps the older generation of Zora, myself included, misunderstood Hylians after all. It would seem so. That said, I would be overjoyed if you could find it in your heart to forgive me. If not now, then perhaps one day."

"Jaune. I must reward your efforts. Now then, I implore you to collect the treasure inside that chest over there." The king said, pointing at a chest next to Muzu. It is a replica of Mipha's cherished Lightscale Trident. I would like you to have it as a token of our friendship. Please take good care of it. By the way, Jaune, I see you are without your trusty blade...the sword that seals the darkness. Did you perhaps lose it when you lost your memory?"

"Perhaps." Jaune said.

"It is truly lost, the sword only the Hylian Champion can wield? It is no doubt resting somewhere in Hyrule even now...waiting for its master to return. Jaune, all of the Zora thank you from the depths of our hearts for your heroic and selfless work...And you too, Sidon. As your father, I am proud of you for fighting the Divine Beast alongside Jaune. You have grown much recently. I know you will be a worthy heir when your time comes."

Sidon looked down. "Father...I...Thank you!"

"The heavy rains have stopped, and the Divine Beast is our ally once again! How glorious! Truly splendid! Wah hah hah!" The king let out a cheerful laugh.

"Jaune! This is wonderful!" Sidon said, posing before he grasped Jaune's right hand in both of his, "Jaune! Thank you so much! Truly, I could never thank you enough! You have helped save our home from vanishing away! This calls for a top-tier expression of gratitude! ZO! ZO! RA RA RA! With all my heart...Thank you!"

With that, all of the gathered Zora broke into cheer and applause. After the crowd dissipated, Jaune looked at the king. "Mipha stayed behind to pilot Ruta." He said.

"Mipha...she truly loves you, you know...whenever you are in need...You will always have a place in Zora's Domain." The kings said softly, before Jaune picked up the Ceremonial Trident. Yang quickly hid her scroll that she had been recording the ceremony from, as she was sending it to Mipha and Impa. Then, Jaune's scroll got a message from Mipha about a shrine near Veiled Falls. Donning his Zora armor, Jaune scaled up Veiled falls and drifted down before letting go of the Paraglider and stabbed the Ceremonial Trident into a platform, making a shrine nearby rise from the ground. Entering the Dagah Keek Shrine, Jaune got a Spirit Orb and a silver rupee. After that, he handed the Ceremonial Trident to Pyrrha.

After changing back into his armor, Jaune moved to the Eastern Reservoir Lake and moved around the land surrounding it, recalling that he had seen another shrine from Vah Ruta. Sure enough, he spotted one. After going through a maze of thorns, he entered the Rucco Maag Shrine. After he emerged, they teleported back to Hateno Village, where he prayed at the Goddess Statue and unlocked another chunk of Aura. He went and cooked Hearty Steamed Fish, and and Enduring Elixer.

After going into his house, he saw Ruby asleep on his bed. With a shrug of acceptance, he climbed into be with her as Pyrrha and Yang joined him.

"MORNING!" Ruby's shout woke him up exactly two hours later at 5:10 am, "I managed to figure out how to create the Thunderblade and Flameblade with dust! Plus, using dust allows us to 're-arm' the sword of it's unique properties." She said excitedly, "I also learned how the moon is...whole and not fragmented like 100 years ago. Apparently, according to Purah, Ganon used the fragmented moon to amplify his power, which brought it back together and turned it red, creating the first 'blood moon', which is why Ganon's power is able to revive monsters in Hyrule when a blood moon occurs."

Jaune placed a Zora sword on the weapon display, which Ruby grabbed off it immediately and started looking over it, as he placed a Zora shield on the Shield Rack, only to have Ruby zoom over and take that down.

"This is amazing Jaune! There are so many weapons to study! So many unique possibilities and new weapons to make using older technology. I may even be able to make Yang a bike with legs instead of wheels!" Ruby said.

"We are taking a small break." Jaune said, looking at Urbosa, "Afterwards, I'll visit a couple more memory spots...and we'll see about freeing your beast, Urbosa."
