Remnants of the Wild
Ruby Blossoms, From the Ground Up
"Hmmm..." Ruby said as she gazed at the leather gloves of Yang's Hylian Tunic and the Flameblade. "I'm close. I can easily add a fire arrow launcher to the gloves, and the special shape-retaining properties and fire dust application of the Flameblade...but I also need a thick, sturdy metal to withstand my sister's strength-especially if she uses her Semblance." Let it be known that Ruby takes weapon-making very seriously, and her Sheikah blood made the construction and understanding of weapons easier than most blacksmiths.
After all, the Sheikah made the Royal Guard weapons, as fragile yet powerful as they were.
Weiss had claimed Myrnaster, the ornate silver sword glowing white with a layer of frost circling the blade. Ren's Stormflower was near completion; needing it's final testing.
Jaune had left early in the morning, searching for more Shrines; having only finished 68 of the 120 shrines. Ever since the visit from the spirits of his family, Link, and Zelda, Jaune had been even more determined to make them proud. Yang was trying to figure out how to make a non-alcoholic Strawberry Sunrise, and Pyrrha was helping by looking over a recipe book Jaune was writing for foods he made on his journey. Only then, Nora managed to startle Pyrrha and her Semblance activated, throwing every pot, cooking sheet, and pan in the kitchen onto the Valkyrie.
"I'm sorry!" Pyrrha offered softly as Yang snorted as she tried to not laugh at the sight.
Nora had given Ruby an interesting request for a weapon she called Magnhild. It took the shape of an elongated and slightly enlarged iron sledgehammer. She wanted explosive dust in the head of the hammer like the Goron drillshaft they brought back from Death Mountain, and a bomb arrow launcher.
On top of this, Ruby didn't want Blake to be left without a custom weapon. Yet, Blake was often quiet, was skilled with both a blade and bow, and...often read about ninjas in the book both Blake and Yang wouldn't let her read!
Why was that? The katana on the cover of the book seemed interesting, so they must have had other cool weapons in it! It's not like it was...filth...right?
Thus, this left Ruby with a dilemma. She could make a bomb arrow launcher with the golden bow's zoom in technology, and Blake liked the eightfold blade...but how would she make them work like a kusarigama? She had yet to see a weapon that had a way to attach something to it. Ruby blushed as she recalled her mother's words; obviously referring to herself, Yang, Pyrrha, and Princess Mipha having feelings for Jaune. Sure, there were people who would not accept such a thing (mostly out of jealousy), but the fact the gods and goddesses of Hyrule let her appear before them and leave that message meant they obviously had no problem with it.
Possibly rewarding Jaune's dedication to the task thrust onto his shoulders and repayment for losing the people he was closest too; his family?
Even after all they had overcome, the task seemed daunting to Ruby...freeing the Divine Beasts from Calamity Ganon's Malice, exploring the main land of Hyrule, and then destroying the Great Calamity that destroyed the Royal Family and killed the original Knight Chosen by the Sword that Seals the Darkness. Yet, as she looked up at a picture of Hateno Village in her workshop, she could understand why.
Hylians, humans, and faunus lived in harmony in this village. There was a rotund Hylian in Hateno who had a crush on a chameleon faunus who ran the local inn; who he called "Miss Prima." This village...was what the faunus equal rights groups had been fighting for before Remnant became part of Hyrule. Who knows what would have happened if Hyrule never absorbed Remnant...
Would that equal rights group, the White Fang, have resorted to terrorism?
With Blake's parents having founded the White Fang, Ruby knew that it would have devastated Blake if they resorted to such actions. Recently, a blue-haired man had moved into the village with his best friend; a blonde monkey faunus. They had introduced themselves as Poseidon Vasilias and Pollux Wukong. These two were descendants of a man and monkey faunus who visited them during the knighting of Team RWBY and Team JNPR; Neptune Vasilias and Sun Wukong respectively.
To everyone's surprise, Weiss- the "Ice Queen"- had started "melting" (as Yang put it) around Poseidon and Blake had opened up around Pollux. When a map of the Gerudo Highlands, an often cold mountainous area above the Gerudo Desert appeared in their maps, they knew Jaune was being serious when exploring for more shrines. While they were saddened that Jaune felt like he had to do some things alone; they knew there wasn't much they could do as the Shrines only let Jaune in. They had heard rumors of Shrines near Rito Village, but they couldn't get more information from the Rito until Divine Beast Vah Medoh was dealt with.
Plus, Jaune knew that some areas they wanted to explore as a group; such as the Hebra Mountains. A shrine soon appeared after the map did, signaling that he had completed it and registered it as a fast travel location.
Sighing, she finished absentmindedly testing Stormflower, gazing down at a checklist she had filled out for it having passed inspection without even realizing it. With that, she gazed at her creation. It appeared to be a metal, automatic crossbow with the arrow launcher covered to prevent it's ammunition from dropping and a loading clip Ren would place the ice arrows into. The bottom of the "arms" of the bow had the "C" shaped prongs of the serpentine spear; thus allowing Ren to both slash with his weapon and catch any blades that were aimed at him.
Crescent Rose was strapped proudly to her back as her black Hylian Tunic with the red Hylian Hood around her neck (having lowered it from around her head) showed that she was more than just a weapon maker...
She was a weapon's expert...a lovable one as Jaune said. When she wasn't working on new weapons, she was helping Purah research ancient technology. When she wasn't doing that, she was practicing with her scythe. She...admittedly wasn't that good at first, nearly cutting into her own Aura in clumsy attempts at mimicking what she remembered her uncle Qrow did.
Help had come to her, surprisingly, in the form of Purah. While she was more of a technological researcher, she wasn't exactly a slouch in combat knowledge. After all, along with Impa and Robbie, Purah was one of the last three "pure-blooded" Sheikah from before the Great Calamity. They were the three Jaune had unknowingly seen arriving in full Shiekah war garb with Ozpin when Princess Zelda died. She was the one who carried Jaune to the Shrine of Resurrection after Robbie inspected his wounds and treated them just enough to stabilize him.
Purah had gone correcting her form when Ruby was showing off her new weapon. Now...Ruby felt like she could kick butt with the likes of her sister!
Yet, the Ancient Tech Labs were...struggling. Their funding, before the Great Calamity, had come from Hyrule Castle. Now, there was no one leading Hyrule, so funding was drying up. That wasn't to say they were going to sit back and just accept pity. No!
The Hateno Ancient Tech Lab would download images not yet recorded to the Hyrule Compendium for 100 rupees per picture, and for various prices (and parts from Guardians) the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab would make them armor, shields, and weapons effective against Guardians. The three had split up into different locations for a reason; after Jaune was put into the Slumber of Restoration with the rest of them, they felt staying in one spot together would make them more vulnerable to attacks from the Yiga Clan...and if they were all killed, they who would help guide them if the teams and Champions lost their memories?
She emerged from her workshop, tired and mentally drained as she handed Stormflower to Ren. She blinked as she saw Yang and Pyrrha covered in a mixture of orange juice, pineapple juice, lime juice, and strawberries in front of a blender whose top had been knocked off.
"Nora did it." Yang said.
"How could I have done it?! I'm stuck up here thanks to Pyrrha!" Nora's voice called, and Ruby looked up to see forks embedded into Nora's clothes; pinning her into the ceiling.
Ruby let out a sigh. "Pyrrha, release Nora. Everyone, help clean up this mess." With a sheepish grin, Pyrrha used her Semblance to release Nora from her trap...only for Nora to drop onto Ren, who barely buckled under the sudden force of his girlfriend hanging onto his shoulders.
"Yeah. We don't want to get in a sticky situation when Hero comes back home!" Yang joked, only for Nora to shout "BOO!" As she threw a towel onto Yang's face.
Two weeks later, Jaune returned to Hateno Village, with a Blood Moon occurring during his Shrine exploration. He had expanded his Aura reserves by two chunks and stamina by a single chunk. This meant they had found 80 of the 120 shrines. This included one in the Spring of Courage.
"The protector's shield works perfectly, Ruby." Jaune panted out, tapping the sheathe of the Master Sword. "There was a Shrine in the Forgotten Temple near the Aldor Foothills, filled with decayed Guardians. After Daruk's Protection went dormant to recharge, the shield reflected their beams back at them and they destroyed themselves."
"That's great to hear!" Ruby cheered, "Maybe I can open a weapon's shop once we're done saving the world if Hunters are no longer a thing. It seems that travelers need more and more weapons to protect themselves from monsters." Jaune smiled at her as he went up the balcony to his bed, pausing as his hand brushed against his drawer next to his bed.
"Why is this sticky?" He asked, pulling his hand away from his drawer.
"SURPRISE!" Nora shouted, pouring some sap from a nearby tree onto him.
"Nora. What did I say?" Ren said with a stern eye.
"Don't pour pancake syrup on fearless leader." Nora said bashfully.
"And what did you do." Ren said in a firm tone.
"Poured pancake syrup on fearless leader in order to have the girls here an opportunity to stick to him." Nora replied.
"Nora...that's not the kind of 'sticking to' they meant." Ren said as she shook his head.
"...OH! They meant traveling together!" Nora realized, looking at the soaked leader, "Oopsies."
"Don't mind me..." Jaune sighed, "I'll just put my armor into the wash and go take a shower."
After a couple of hours, Jaune emerged in his night clothes-despite it being morning, with his cleaned armor under his arms that he set next to his bed. "Now if you excuse me...I've gotten little to no rest the past two weeks...so..." With that, Jaune collapsed and fell straight asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. He slept until the next morning and put his armor back on in a somewhat half-asleep state.
"Actually." Yang spoke up from next to Jaune, and he leaped up and drew the Master Sword as he was jolted awake.
"Yang...you startled me for a moment." Jaune said, sheathing the Master Sword.
"As I was saying." Yang said, not even batting an eyelash, "I remember overhearing a Gerudo in the Kara Kara Bazaar complaining that no one had use of her sewing skills."
"Hudson!" Jaune realized, "He needs a tailor for Tarrey Town!...But it won't matter if her name doesn't end in 'son'...stupid stipulation." He grumbled, making Yang giggle as he pouted childishly. Jaune moved into the bathroom and came out in his white desert voe outfit. With a glance to everyone who was going, he teleported them to the Hawa Koth Shrine next to the Great Fairy's Fountain in the Gerudo Desert.
"I figured we could see if we could upgrade our outfits first." Jaune said, as Pyrrha and Yang hugged him. "Can't...breathe!"
They upgraded their Snowquill headgear twice, and Flamebreaker helm as Jaune also enhanced his climbing boots, desert voe trousers, rubber tights, radiant shirt, and radiant tights. After that, they teleported to the Shrine next to the stable just before the entrance to the Gerudo Desert on the path to Kara Kara Bazaar. First, Jaune sold some spare ore to bring his funds up to 6,782 rupees. Next, it seemed that Yang's ears hadn't deceived her.
There was a downtrodden Gerudo sitting under a tarp.
"Sav'otta." She said. "I'm still considering how to continue my search. I've mastered tailoring...I have dozens of other skills...I just don't understand what voe are looking for...I wonder if there really is someone out there for me..."
"Her name is Rhondson." Yang whispered in Jaune's ear.
"Go to Tarrey Town." Jaune said.
"Eh? What is it? So abrupt, too... Let me hear the details." Rhondson said.
"Hudson is a construction worker who was transferred to Akkala, so he's building an entire town- Tarrey Town- from the ground up, and he needs a tailor." Jaune said.
"Hudson in Tarrey Town needs a tailor? It's something, I suppose..." Rhondson said thoughtfully, "The Akkala region is kinda far away. But maybe I need to travel. Getting far away from a village full of vai...But it's not like I'm accomplishing anything by staying here. I can continue my search in Tarrey Town...Thanks for all the information. I'm gonna go home and pack a huge bag. It'll be a long journey all the way there...I'll no doubt see you again in Tarrey Town." She stood up and started walking back to Gerudo Town.
"It was a nice thing you did for her." Pyrrha said as Jaune watched her walk off into the distance.
At Hateno Village, Ruby was looking over the Village from outside of Jaune's house when she felt a blade at her neck.
"Begone! Enemy of my Master!" A Yiga assassin said with his viscous sickle held at Ruby's throat.
"Are you...attacking me?" Ruby asked, blinking as her hands slowly drifted behind her.
"Yes?" The Yiga responded, confused by the Shiekah descendant's nonchalant attitude.
"Oh. OK." Ruby said, before the Yiga assassin dropped his weapon as the electricity of a shock arrow coursed through his body as Ruby had shifted Crescent Rose and launched a shock arrow behind her. The arrow's prongs had jammed into the Yiga's left leg and she slammed the blade of Crescent Rose into the ground and spun around it, kicking the Yiga in the mask just as he picked up his sickle. The Yiga vanished, and Ruby raised Crescent Rose, the blade meeting the blade of the sickle before Ruby slammed the blade of her scythe into the ground and jammed the tip into the Yiga's stomach. He was knocked onto the ground as Ruby held her blade to his throat.
"You forgot who you were messing with. I am Ruby Rose, descendant of the Shiekah, daughter of Taiyang Xiao Long and Summer Rose, and leader of Team RWBY...and I. Drink. MILK!" Ruby said, swinging her scythe so the blunt end hit the Yiga and sent him flying.
The group at Kara Kara Bazaar decided to rest for a few days around the campfire as Pyrrha and Yang visited Gerudo Town. Apparently, Pyrrha was taking notes from the local "Voe and You" class in town. During this time, Jaune made his first "Monster Extract dish", with Monster Curry. It would only heal a partial chunk of aura, and would be more useful as a meal to keep the group going when they got hungry.
When Pyrrha and Yang returned, they put on their Snowquill armor and teleported to a shrine in the Gerudo Highlands. Jaune had spotted a shrine location...but he needed to cook a fireproof elixir before he could get it to reveal itself. After that, they would return for three shrines left dormant in the Gerudo desert that Jaune had spotted, but the sandstorms drove him away from.
On the trail, they discovered a Yiga camp. After driving away the Yiga archers, they collected the mighty bananas, which Jaune used to cook up a Mighty Simmered Fruit. They then discovered a benefit to having their Snowquill armor enhanced; as Jaune ran through the attack of an ice wizrobe unharmed...
They were unfreezable!
After landing in the warm canyon cliffs away from the snow, Jaune put on his fireproof armor. There were three Gorons standing on three heated lava rocks.
"PUMP IT UP, BROTHER!" One shouted, "This is our ancestral training ground! Us three Goron Blood Brothers are in the midst of a contest of endurance!"
"FEEL THE BURN, BROTHER!" The second shouted, "We're trainin' to become strong and powerful Gorons! Right now we're competin' to beat the heat!"
"So sweaty...Brother..." The third moaned, "We're Gorons...but the heat is too much for us these days...It's too hot to handle in Goron City...so we came here to train ourselves..."
"Hey! I have an idea!" The first said.
"Come join us!" The second said.
"Yeah! Come try the contest of endurance yourself...brother!" The third said.
"Sure, I'll give it a try." Jaune said.
With that, he joined the Gorons on the first heated lava rock.
After a little bit, the first two Gorons passed out after Jaune lost two chunks of Aura before the third passed out.
After Jaune passed the first test, he now was able to go to the "ultimate test of endurance" on an even hotter lava rock surrounded by lit torches...and he couldn't use heat-resistant gear. So, he put on his regular armor minus the hood, swallowed the Fireproof Elixir, and went onto the rock. According to their scrolls, that area had the same temperature as Death Moutain; as in a red error sign. After about an hour, the Gorons cheered his success before a Shrine rose from the ground behind him.
Yet, he exactly wasn't unscathed, as the cloth on the front of the armor bearing the Crest of Hyrule was burned off.
"I really hope we're giving Rhondson enough time to get to Akkala." Yang said, revealing a sketch of a new cloth for the armor when Jaune went into the shrine. In the place the red crest of Hyrule was a blue outline of the Master Sword, similar to the tunic Link once wore. Pyrrha, Yang, Mipha, and Ruby had designed this. Jaune changed into his desert voe outfit in the shrine, and he hid in the shrine as the girls changed into their Gerudo outfits, only for Ren to put on the desert voe pants and headband and throw on his warm doublet as he watched the sun set. They all shivered before throwing the warm doublet over their bodies. Jaune had a Gerudo spear-obtained in the Shrine, on his back as the Master Sword sat sheathed in the protector's shield on his belt as they traveled to the statue of the Seven Heroines.
On the way, they discovered a Korok. The wind howled as electric kesee flew about in the night air. After arriving at the East Gerudo Ruins, they noticed that the statues had a symbol somewhere on their bodies, as did the orbs. Their goal was to obviously match the symbols of the orbs to the pedestal in front of the statue with that symbol.
Hours later, involving climbing some statues, all of the orbs were in place. As the last orb fell into it's spot, the Shrine rose from the ground. Jaune emerged with a Flamespear as he had put a Knight's shield on his back over his Gerudo Spear. This would allow him to use a shield while the Master Sword was sheathed.
The last thing he EVER wanted to do was drop the Master Sword.
They then headed southeast, to the Champion's Gate. As night fell, they made their way to what looked like a massive labyrinth.
"To you who sets foot here...My blessing awaits at the end of the labyrinth." A monk's voice echoed in the air as Jaune stepped into the Labyrinth, only for a wall of energy to separate the others from him outside of the labyrinth. The only way to drop the barrier...was to find the Shrine.
The next morning, as the barrier still had not fallen, Yang turned to Pyrrha and asked. "He's lost, isn't he?"
"I'm sorry!" Pyrrha said, "I...I never taught him tracking so...so he would rely on me more..."
Everyone around her slapped their foreheads.
"When this situation with Calamity Ganon is over, we're ALL teaching him how to track." Ren said. At 5:15 pm, they got a notification that the shrine was now an access point and a message from Jaune: "Meet at Shrine by Heroine statues."
Afterwards, they all ended up teleporting to the statues at the same time. After a quick meal together, they headed southwest as they spotted a shrine in the distance. Upon reaching it after 9pm, they spotted a Gerudo woman slumped over the panel Jaune needed to scan with his Sheikah Scroll.
"I'd just found the shrine too..." She panted out, "Ugh, my throat...It's so dry...I can't move a muscle...If this really is the end...I wish I could have one last taste...One sip...One sip of an ice-cold Noble Pursuit..."
"Well, Guess we have to go to Gerudo Town." Jaune said, before ducking behind the shrine to get changed into his disguise and they teleported outside Gerudo Town. As Yang and Pyrrha went to the Noble Canteen with Ren waiting outside, Jaune decided to make a quick stop and got the amber earrings made for Yang. Later on, he decided, he would get Ruby a ruby circlet and Pyrrha a diamond circlet.
"Vasaaq..." The older bartender said as Yang sat by Pyrrha at the bar. "A Hylian vai, huh...you must be here with the two others. I can't tell how old you are, but this place is definitely not for young vai. Because the drinks we make here are different from regular drinks. For one, they have a rare treat in them-ice..."
"Noble Pursuit?" Jaune asked.
"You want to try our signature drink, Noble Pursuit? Unfortunately, I need a huge amount of ice to make that drink, and I'm fresh out right now." The bartender said, "Besides, it's a really strong drink. Even if I could make it, I wouldn't sell it to a little vai like you."
"Actually, we saw a Gerudo out in the desert who was talking about it, slumped over at a shrine." Jaune said.
"What'd you say? Pokki's collapsed?" The bartender said, knowing who that Gerudo was immediately, "Hmm. I want to help her out, but I can't make a you-know-what without ice. There's ice at the icehouse, but my legs aren't in the best shape for hauling ice..."
"I'll get it for you." Jaune said.
"Are you serious?" The bartender asked with wide eyes, "You'll get it? That'd be a huge help. Pokki is my best customer, after all. I wish I could get the ice myself...Anyway, the icehouse is north of town. Anche manages it, but I think if you explain the situation, she'll let you have some ice. You should know that she heads to bed quite early. If you plan to go, you'll need to get there while it's bright out. Oh, young lady...Carrying ice all the way through the desert and then all the way to town? I can't let that stand. If you bring the ice to the entrance to the ruins- between town and the icehouse- I can take it from there."
Jaune gave a thumbs up to Yang and Pyrrha and headed out of Gerudo Town.
After delivering the ice, the bartender (who had the rest of his group following her) asked him to tell Pokki that the best drink is waiting for her. She apparently know that Pokki would come running when she hears that a delicious drink is waiting. After changing to his desert voe outfit in private, they continued the journey back to the shrine. To their surprise, after they made the half-day's journey, that is exactly what Pokki did. Jaune watched her run off with wide eyes.
After Jaune emerged in his armor and hood, they all teleported to Akkala to check on Rhondson. Jaune let the ladies change within the shrine entrance (as the device that lowered him into the shrine only worked for him), they moved to Tarrey Town. Now, three houses were built. Checking in with Hudson revealed that Rhondson had arrived safely, and had opened up a shop selling desert voe clothing. After giving him 30 bundles of wood, he asked for someone to set up some distribution. He needed someone qualified to run a general store.
"So a traveling trader?" Ren asked calmly.
"Oh, that's a good thought...Rito can fly around, so they should be able to retrieve and deliver supplies." Hudson replied.
"And their name has to end in "son", as did the others." Yang said, before Hudson could repeat that statement. Pyrrha, meanwhile, was showing something to Rhondson. After Jaune collected some bundles of wood, they all teleported to Rito Village just as it started to rain with the rumble of thunder approaching. It seemed luck was on their side, as a teenage Rito who dreamed of running his own store was loafing on the walkway, even at 1 in the morning...and his name was Fyson.
After Jaune explained about Tarrey Town and their need for a general store, Fyson's eyes lit up in joy. He would pack up and leave immediately, even if he had to fly low because of Vah Medoh. After Fyson left, Jaune unlocked another chunk of his Aura at a Goddess Statue. Afterwards, Jaune picked up a woodcutter's axe after repelling a Yiga archer attack, and started collecting wood; knowing what Hudson would need after Fyson arrived. He also did some bartering with a local traveling merchant named Beedle, and brought his funds up to 11,197 rupees.
He continued for a few hours until his axe shattered after collecting 90 bundles of wood. He then made an Enduring Elixir, Energizing Elixir, and Hearty Meat and Mushroom Skewer. After Jaune picked a few more wildberries nearby, they teleported to the Shrine overlooking Tarrey Town. Only, Jaune turned his head and gasped in shock as he saw another Great Fairy Bulb nearby.
"How did we miss that?!" He asked out loud. They paraglided down and found a Korok near the shrine, and then found out that it was very fortunate that they had missed the Great Fairy so many times...as she required 10,000 rupees to return to full strength. Thankfully, Jaune and the others hadn't noticed until Jaune found 11,000 rupees. After the Great Fairy Mija was restored, they found they didn't have the materials to upgrade anything, except for Jaune; who had received Barbarian Armor in the last labyrinth.
"Hey Jaune... Can I borrow your armor for a bit?" Pyrrha asked, winking to Yang signaling that their plan was in effect.
"Don't know why, but sure." Jaune said, pulling off his Soldier's armor and handing it to Pyrrha, who tucked it into her inventory.
"I'll return it! Promise!" Pyrrha said, as Jaune waved off her concern. By the time they arrived in Tarrey Town, it was afternoon of the day after Fyson left. To their surprise, there was an elderly faunus couple in town as well. Both of their fox tails turned gray with age.
"Oh, hello." The elderly lady, Monari, greeted, "And you might you be?"
"I'm just a traveler..." Jaune said, scratching his head sheepishly.
"Oh...Is that so?" She asked, "My husband is taking great care of this area, but there seem to be a lot of strange folks just outside of town." As he was talking, Pyrrha and Yang had taken Jaune's soldier armor to Rhondson. Still, Jaune paid no attention to that as he handed 50 bundles of wood to Hudson to build more homes.
"I...actually wanted to talk about something a little personal..." Hudson said.
"What's wrong?" Jaune asked.
"Oh, not that kind of personal. Actually, I got engaged." Hudson said, and a huge smile came across Jaune's face.
"Congratulations!" He shouted, ironically at the same time Pyrrha and Yang did when Rhondson told them the same news.
"I'm engaged to Rhondson." Hudson said.
"You're a cute couple." Jaune said, still being polite.
"Thank you." Hudson said, "Anyway, we want to have a little ceremony to celebrate, but we need someone priest-like to officiate. Could you look for someone priest-like for us?"
"Priest-like, huh..." Jaune said, thinking.
"If we're looking for a people devout enough to have a priest-like person...I'd suggest the Zora." Hudson said.
"And their name needs to end in 'son', right?" Jaune asked.
"Got it in one." Hudson replied.
Jaune moved to the entryway and sat thinking for an hour, before an idea came to him and he started a video messaging conference. "Hey Mipha...I was wondering..."
"Wait. Where did Jaune go?" Yang said, looking at the Town while Rhondson worked on Jaune's armor.
"If my fiance talking about how much of a lifesaver he is is any indication, he went out to get someone priest-like to officiate." Rhondson replied, and Yang's eyes widened as she called Ruby to have her teleport to the Town. After Ruby did, they quickly became giddy with excitement at the fact that a wedding was about to occur. The next morning, they saw an elderly Zora, who introduced himself as Kapson, enter Tarrey Town.
The ladies and Ren quickly got into their best clothes as Jaune emerged without his Hylian Hood in his all-white Hylian tunic and trousers. He had his bow and shield put away, with only the Master Sword visible.
Jaune was surprised to see buildings, without rocks around, and a bell tower, with a heart design engraved on it behind the Goddess statue which also had a fountain behind it. Jaune talked to Hudson, who asked him to invite his coworkers for the wedding.
"Oh come on!" Ruby pouted, "Now it will be another day before the wedding!"
"Don't worry sis." Yang said, "They're just making it special."
"Besides, it isn't every day a wedding happens." Pyrrha added.
The next morning, Bolson and Karson arrived, with Jaune arriving soon afterwards. Each of the group members had gotten white Hylian Tunics just for this day-and they had arrived with Ruby.
They stood near the back of the crowd as Hudson and Rhondson were in their best clothes for the wedding. Things got...a little confusing when Rhondson was asked in vows to name her children in accordance with the Bolson Construction naming guidelines. After this was asked, Jaune leaned over to Ren and said "No child of mine will have a name ending in 'son' now."
"Agreed." Ren whispered back.
After she agreed with a small smirk and the roll of her eyes, people cheered as Bolson threw flower petals out of his sleeves and the bell tolled. The sun shone down on the town as the ceremony started.
Hours later, the sun sat after hours of dancing, dining, and toasts. Hudson approached Jaune, thanking him for his help and handing him three diamonds they found within the rocks.
"Ugh! I am exhausted!" Jaune said, sitting down by a house as the sun started to set.
"What, did we wear you out?" Yang asked teasingly.
"I'm just glad I had seven sisters, so I had practice dancing with multiple ladies." Jaune said as he stretched out his legs. Ruby, Yang, and Pyrrha all laughed at that. They all smiled at him and they each held out a package.
"Your armor is repaired." Pyrrha said, "We had Rhondson fix the burned off cloth." Jaune opened it to see the blue Master Sword design on a more fire-resistant cloth with blue edging. As Jaune replaced his Hylian tunic with the soldier armor, each of them frowned at the old scars visible on his chest from before and during the Great Calamity. After he put his yellow Hylian hood on, he made sure the Master Sword was on securely and that the protector's shield wouldn't switch into shield mode by accident, he held out his hand.
"Why don't we all go home?" Jaune said.
Blake was curled up in a tree in Tarrey Town reading with Pollux taking a nap next to her. Weiss was trying to get Poseidon to relax after he looked down the sides of the cliff to the large body of water below.
While it wasn't as bad as his ancestor, he had inherited Neptune's fear of water. Thankfully, he was only afraid of larger bodies of water. Blake woke up Pollux and jumped down, staring in the direction of the Akkala Highlands.
"My little kitten." A smooth voice said, and Blake turned to see the ghosts of her parents behind her. Gira and Kali Belladonna.
"My dream has been realized." Gira said as he gazed at Tarrey Town, "Ever since Remnant became part of Hyrule, more towns like this have sprouted. A place where different races live in harmony and equality. They don't see each other as Zora, Hylian, Human, Faunus, Goron, Rito, or Gerudo, but as fellow inhabitants of the Town."
"The past is there to be learned from, little kitten." Kali said, "But you must not let it drag you down. The Belladonna legacy of equality still exists, but we now need to defend it." With that, they vanished as Pollux lifted his tail and wiped away a tear from Blake's eye.
"Why don't we head home?" Blake asked him.
"Sure thing." Pollux said as Jaune shook his head, having just asked the same thing earlier, "HEY POSEIDON! GET YOUR WATERLOGGED REAR END MOVING! WE'RE GOING TO HATENO!" Poseidon leaped at those words as they both hopped into a wagon heading out of town. With a grin to each other as Blake wiped another tear from her eye, they all teleported to Hateno Village.
When they arrived, Pyrrha and Yang made a nice special "After wedding" dinner of Creamy Heart Soup, and after everyone enjoyed a bowl of it, they all headed to bed. The next morning, they were surprised to see Revali stretching his arms out as he looked over them.
His eyes met theirs.
"Well, I am back to 100% now." Revali said, brushing off their stares like it was nothing.
"So it is time." Jaune said.
