Not My Baby

Just who did this hot pants little girl think she was. Did she think that because her father was some big hot shot she could boss her baby boy around? That she could force him to go places with her….The more ChiChi thought about her son's odd predicament, the more she realized that it was just a mirror of her and his father's on startup.

Officially Meeting

Gohan kept fretting over what she would be cooking. Telling her that maybe dinner at a restaurant would be better, after she threatened him with her frying pan for insulting her cooking she finally got her peace and quiet. Dinner was an awkward affair. Minimal talk. Stare downs. Bruising handshakes. Gohan profusely sweating. When it was time to say goodbye both teenagers were surprised when his mother wrapped her arms around the younger girl and told her "Welcome to the family!"

Momma's Boy

Gohan would always be her baby. Some would even go as far as to call him a momma's boy. Sometimes she made him wonder about his place as the favorite child. One time he would always recall is when he and Videl had argument and as he was venting to her, she brandished her favorite weapon at him.

"No son of mine, is going to leave his wife at home by herself while she's mad at him. EVEN YOUR FATHER WASN'T THAT DENSE! Now, go say I'm sorry and bring her a nice gift before I leave your face imprinted in this frying pan!"

That's how Videl found herself, confused but elated, in a bed full of her favorite flowers and chocolates, with a begging Gohan to take him back.

Rules of Engagement

It was their engagement party. Both of their families would be there, so thus they gave both his mother and her father strict but easy guidelines to follow.

Rule 1. DO NOT BRING UP THE CELL TOURNAMENT.

Rule 2. LOOK BACK AT ONE.

So imagine their surprise, or maybe not so much of a surprise with the empty wine bottles around them, that they find their parents buddied up in a corner sharing tales of their spouses and laughing at adventurous toddler stories of their children.

Pregnant

She knew how the birds and the bees worked. She was a smart cookie, but somehow looking at those plus signs took away some brain cells temporarily. That was how she found herself on her mother-in-law's couch. Dumbfounded and near tears. As ChiChi took her into her arms, giving her calm reassurance and promising to help her with any questions she would have, she found herself breaking down. Hugging the older woman close to her she thanked her, for being the mother that she needed at this moment. ChiChi laughed and brushed away her own tears. Enthralled with the knowledge that she would be a grandmother. She shared with Videl that she knows how hard it is to journey through life without a mother during times like these. With a final hug and a firm push out her door, she yelled at her to go tell her son the good news.
