Remnants of the Wild
The Calamity Ganon
(J)NPR and RWBY worked extremely efficiently together against the Flying Guardians as Jaune ran towards the Sanctum. Pyrrha used her Semblance to tilt the metal propellers of the Flying Guardians so they could not fire upon the group, while the rest of the team would wail upon the bodies of the Flying Guardians with their attacks.
It was obvious that the only reason they ended up in the Shrine of Resurrection in the first place was because they were unprepared for the Guardians turning against them.
Jaune reached the Sanctum and glared at the heart-shaped cocoon while his allies were taking care of the Guardians. That was when King Ozpin's voice was heard by RWBY and JNPR, as a Golden light shone from within the cocoon.
"I'm sorry...but my power isn't strong enough...I can't hold him...but luckily, he is...incomplete..."
With that, blue Guardian beams emerged from the cocoon, sliding across the floor in front of Jaune in an erratic pattern as it then went in a circle around the room and blasted over the entryways, causing rubble to collapse and block (J)NPR and RWBY outside the Sanctum.
A black mass emerged from the cocoon and slammed into the floor in front of Jaune as dust kicked up and the floor it landed on collapsed, creating a massive pit it fell in thanks to it blasting that floor earlier. Jaune glanced down, took a deep breath and paraglided down the hole.
There was a spider-like body made out of Malice with Guardian Legs, a Guardian axe, Guardian weapons, and a Guardian Cannon like WindGrimm Ganon had. It had a glowing skull-like face with an orange gem in it's forehead, with small boar-like tusks poking from a mouth filled with sharp teeth and a red lion-like mane surrounding it's head. It's eyes glowed a sinister orange as it roared when Jaune landed.
Scourge of Hyrule Castle: Calamity Ganon
"You cannot defeat me." It spoke in a deep, rumbling voice, "Twice I have lead to the death of one bearing the Spirit of the Hero, the first time the Complete Triforce was finally in my possession; allowing me to shed that weak Gerudo form known as Ganondorf. Give up your Triforce piece to me, and I MAY spare you and your friends."
Jaune schooled his expression and deployed the Protector's Shield as he held the Master Sword out to his side. Calamity Ganon laughed as black Malice flew outwards from the hole and blasted across the horizon. "You see, even in the unlikely event that I should fall, I've now sent Grimm Spawning Pools across Hyrule and the insignificant districts of Remnant. Even if I die...My beasts will remain!"
On Divine Beast Vah Ruta, Mipha's eyes opened. "The time has come!" She said, "Now Ruta! To help Jaune! We will not fail!" She held her right hand out, and the red beam Ruta had aiming at Hyrule Castle vanished, only to be replaced by a massive blue laser.
On Divine Beast Vah Rudania, Daruk laughed as he pointed the Boulder Breaker at Hyrule Castle. "Let's ROLL! Open up wide Ganon!" He shouted, as Rudania's red beam became a massive blue laser.
On Divine Beast Vah Naboris, Urbosa gave a confident smirk. "It's time. Our moment has arrive!" She said, snapping her fingers as Naboris's red beam became a massive blue laser.
On Divine Beast Vah Medoh, Revali's gaze locked onto Hyrule Caste as he held his right wing outwards. "NOW! Brace yourself for the sting of my revenge!" He shouted, Medoh's red beam becoming a massive blue laser.
The four lasers blasted through the windows of the Sanctum, filling the entire room with a blue glow.
Jaune gazed upwards as the hole as he saw a blue glow and smirked as Calamity Ganon was underneath the hole. "I have a message from Daruk for you Ganon." Jaune said, "Good riddance, Bacon-breath." With that, blue lasers rained down upon Calamity Ganon as it roared in pain and all became quiet as Jaune's vision was obstructed by dust.
Calamity Ganon lay still, until a growl emerged from it and it stood, pointing it's weapons at Jaune as he stared down the massive beast. A swipe from a claw made of Guardian Swords swiped at Jaune from the side, but Daruk's Protection blocked it, stunning Ganon enough to get a few slashes across Ganon's face. Ganon reared back and slammed onto the ground, making a shock-wave that Jaune blocked with Daruk's Protection; slashing at Ganon's face until it reared up on it's spider-like body and lifted it's face away from Jaune.
Calamity Ganon held it's massive, flaming Guardian axe and did a horizontal slash at Jaune; that he flipped over and launched a flurry of slashes from the Master Sword upon Ganon. Daruk's protection activated as Ganon created another shock-wave and then Jaune's Aura took a slight hit as Ganon slammed it's flaming Axe onto the ground and blasted Jaune back in a burst of fire.
He dodged a horizontal slash from Ganon that left streams of fire burning around him, riding an updraft and slamming a few shock arrow's into Ganon's face before he ate a few apples and a banana to restore his Aura. Ganon crawled upon the walls of the pit they were fighting in, as Jaune locked his eyes on Ganon's movements. The beast then created two small tornadoes that attacked Jaune in a way that after he dodged the first one; the second one struck him and drained some Aura. He then ran away from a condensed orb of fire Ganon launched at him; but was unprepared for the edge of the explosion that knocked him off his feet with another chunk of his Aura drained.
He jumped to the side; dodging a massive Guardian Spear Calamity Ganon threw at him. Ganon crawled along the walls, and then jumped down making a shock-wave Jaune dodged before slashing at Ganon. It lifted one smaller arm, with what looked like scissors made of Guardian blades. Jaune parried it with his Protector's Shield; delivering a few more slashes upon Ganon's face.
It's flaming axe swung wildly; and even when Jaune dodged it; the immense heat lit a fire where he landed and drained his Aura slightly. After a few swipes; Ganon reformed his Guardian Spear and crawled out of Jaune's range on the wall. Calamity Ganon then formed blocks of ice and launched them at Jaune; the Hylian Champion deflecting them away with shock arrows. He saw the orb of condensed fire coming at him through the rubble and tried moving out of the way, but it homed in on him and exploded, draining his Aura to nearly half. Right then, he felt a surge signaling that Daruk's Protection recharged; just in time as Ganon fired a blast of razor-sharp wind at him; which the skill deflected.
Ganon leaped from the wall right in front of Jaune; Daruk's protection stopping the shock-wave long enough for Jaune to deliver some slashes to Ganon, and it repeated as Ganon tried stunning Jaune with the shock-wave at a close range. As Ganon crawled back onto the wall, Jaune unleashed Urbosa's Fury and the lightning struck Ganon as it roared in pain with surges of electricity coursing through it's body. It fell, roaring, before coating it's body in a shielding layer of fire.
Ganon's swipes were too fast to dodge; fast as LightningGrimm Ganon's in fact. Jaune blocked them with his Protector's shield as his Aura fell slightly below half and Ganon aimed it's canon at him, a familiar red targeting beam used by Guardians locking onto him. Jaune raised the shield and smirked behind it as fired a Guardian Beam at him, and the beam deflected into Ganon's face. It's fire shield fell as it collapsed with Jaune running forward and delivering slashes upon it before it got to it's legs again.
This time, as Ganon raised it's flaming axe, Jaune's eyes locked onto the weapon and jumped to the side as time seemed to slow. He could see Ganon's shield drop as the fire drew into the weapon and he blurred forward, launching a flurry of attacks that left flashes of light upon impact that nearly blinded both combatants. Ganon reared and reformed it's flaming shield. Ganon inhaled, and Jaune had to leap to the side before running as it exhaled a stream of blue flames while turning towards Jaune, rearing back and panting with a grunt-like laugh.
It did a horizontal slash at Jaune, who back-flipped over it and blurred forward as time seemed to slow with Ganon's fiery shield gone and unleashed a flurry of slashes on it's body. He then jumped backwards as Ganon reformed it's shield and slammed into the ground; creating a shock-wave where he once stood before exhaling a stream of blue flames at Jaune as he leaped to the side to narrowly avoid it.
Jaune back-flipped over another horizontal slash, delivering a flurry of slashes before it reared and roared, forming the flaming shield over it's body. Jaune tilted his head in confusion...the more Ganon was hit, the less...intelligent it seemed.
What was happening?
Ganon crawled back onto the wall as Jaune swallowed a serving of Hearty Meaty Rice Balls to restore his Aura during the impromptu lull in the battle. Jaune dodged repeated Guardian beam blasts before a targeting beam line up from Ganon's weapon and he lifted the Protector's Shield. The beam deflected into Ganon; destroying it's shield and knocking it off the wall.
Jaune leaped, and the Master Sword slashed through Ganon's head.
It roared, staggering with Malice pouring from it's body like blood. It reared back as Malice poured from it's body and an ear-piercing scream emerged as a purple blast of light left a small orb of Malice with gleaming orange eyes that roared moving upwards through the hole above the pit as the smoke form of it's Malice followed it. Jaune ran to the center of the room, vanishing in golden sparks.
Jaune reappeared next to his horse Abella in Hyrule Field as the smoke swirled behind him like a massive cloud. He could see his allies fighting Guardians among the field; having run towards the smoke and assumed the worst. However, Pyrrha, Yang, and Ruby gave sighs of relief seeing Jaune alright.
"Ganon..." Ozpin's voice said from within the cloud of Malice, "Ganon was born out of a dark past. He is a pure embodiment of the ancient evil that is reborn time and time again." From the cloud, a gigantic leg made of Malice emerged with a boar-like hoof. A boar-like head with large tusks and two streams of glowing pink flames went down it's back popped out of the top of the Malice Cloud.
"He has given up on Reincarnation and assumed his pure, enraged form." Ozpin said, "His mind has been consumed by his own Malice. He knows only anger and destruction now. If set free upon this world, the destruction will be unlike anything we have ever seen before." With that, the massive Boar-like Demon made of Malice emerged as the cloud vanished.
Hatred and Malice Incarnate: Dark Beast Ganon
"Jaune. I entrust you with the Bow of Light-a powerful weapon in the face of evil." Ozpin said, as a small golden glow emerged from Ganon's chest and a half-moon shaped Golden Bow floated in front of him. "Jaune...you may not be at a point where you remember everything of have recovered to your full power..." Jaune hopped onto Abella, who reared while letting out a loud neigh.
"But courage need not be remembered, for it is never forgotten." Ozpin said, as Jaune spurred Abella forward towards the beast. Jaune grabbed the Bow of Light and equipped it as he sheathed the Master Sword in the Protector's Shield on his belt. He moved Abella to the left side of Ganon's body as it fired a pink beam of Malice and Fire in front of it.
"That energy covering Ganon's body is Malice. None of your attacks will get through it as it is now." Ozpin's voice was heard. "I will hold the Malice back as much as I can, but my power is waning. Attack any glowing points you see with the Bow of Light!" Jaune kept his eyes on the Dark Beast as he steered Abella around it. "May you be victorious."
"Hurry! NOW!" Opzin said, as three Golden circles appeared on Ganon's right side. Jaune pulled back the string as a Light Arrow appeared, and launched it into the circle on it's front-right shoulder before launching more Light Arrows into the other circles. Ganon roared as it collapsed; standing back up with an enraged roar. It launched a pink beam at RWBY, which they dodged narrowly.
"Ganon's power is weakening." They heard Ozpin say, making RWBY and Nora cheer. Right then, rain started pouring on them as the bottle continued. Jaune saw three golden circles appear on Ganon's left side as he leaped off Abella and fired a Light Arrow into the one in it's mid-body before hitting the other two circles with Light Arrows.
"It's working!" Ozpin said in relief. "Hit the glowing area!" Jaune leaped onto Abella and rode underneath Ganon and fired a Light Arrow into it's gut. "We're so close! Jaune, look up there!"
Jaune hopped off Abella as Ganon's attention turned to the rest of JNPR, with a golden glowing section on the top of it's head. "That's the very Core of Ganon's being! Do what you must Jaune!"
With a blast of Revali's Gale, Jaune paraglided to a glowing area where it had a bundle of Malice forming a boar-like face with a single Malice Eye. "Now Jaune!" Ozpin yelled, and time seemed to slow as Jaune launched a Light Arrow into Ganon's Core. It roared, reeling back as an orb of Golden light emerged from it, with Ozpin emerging in a white suit holding his cane.
"Pyrrha, Yang. Now! The sealing power! Use your love for Jaune! Ruby! Do the same and awaken your Silver Eyes Heritage!" Pyrrha and Yang lifted their hands as they stood next to Ozpin. An empty outline of the Triforce appeared on Ozpin's hand, as the Triforce of Wisdom and Triforce of Power glowed on Pyrrha and Yang's hands respectively. Silver flames shone around Ruby's eyes as she stood in front of Ozpin. The golden light from Ozpin, Pyrrha, and Yang along with the Silver light from Ruby became unbearable for Dark Beast Ganon, who roared and turned into it's smoke like Boar-Headed form they saw up until this point.
Ganon roared and charged at them, as an image of the Triforce appeared around a gold and silver orb of fire that slammed into Ganon. Jaune stood up and held the Master Sword at Ganon, pushing all of his Aura he could muster into the blade. As the Orb expanded, Jaune shot a massive blue and silver beam into the ghost-like Ganon's head. It trapped Ganon at it's spot in the air as the Orb vaporized the Dark Beast before it shrunk and vanished. The fast moving clouds slowed down as the red sky turned blue once more.
"I've been keeping watch over all of you all this time." Ozpin said as Nora and Ren helped Jaune to his feet as he sheathed the Master Sword and brought him to the rest of JNPR and RWBY. "I've witnessed your struggles to return to us as well as your trials in battle. I always thought...no...I always believed, that RWBY and JNPR would find a way to defeat Ganon." He turned around with pride in his eyes, "I never lost my faith over all those years. Thank you Jaune Arc, Ruby Rose, Pyrrha Nikos, Weiss Schnee, Nora Valkyrie, Blake Belladonna, Lie Ren, and Yang Xiao-Long...the Heroes of Hyrule. May I ask...do you really remember me?"
Jaune stared at Ozpin before a smirk crossed his face, "When you first formed RWBY and JNPR, you told us you saw wasted potential that needed to be honed." Everyone let a sigh of relief.
Jaune's memories had completely returned.
Ozpin let out a small smile and pressed a button on his cane.
Within the depths of Beacon Academy, multiple stasis chambers opened as familiar faces climbed out.
"How..how long has it been?" Professor Glynda Goodwitch asked as she picked up her cane.
"It's hard to say for sure, but our dear Headmaster has returned." Doctor Oobleck said. Professor Peach said nothing, just tuning out Professor Port next to her as he started rambling on how it reminded him of one of his journeys as a young child that slayed Grimm. Other teachers of Beacon emerged from Stasis as the Tower activated for the first time in 100 years. Out of the last chamber, came a black, gray, and white Corgi puppy with a collar with the name "Zwei" on it, with a tag that read "To Ruby and Yang, from Dad".
The Communication Tower recently built in Hyrule activated in one of the pillars of Hyrule Castle as everyone's televisions and scrolls were interrupted by a broadcast.
"Greetings Kingdom of Hyrule." A familiar ghost of a King appeared on the screen with the ghosts of Zelda and Link. "I am King Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule. The Spirit of the Last King of Hyrule." Silence reined among the Main Kingdom and Districts of Remnant as they were engrossed in the sudden message.
"Lo, 100 years ago, my life was taken away from me when the Great Calamity struck, and Hyrule lay in ruins. However, we did not die in vain. Two teams of people from Remnant were left in the Slumber of Restoration; healing from their injuries until they could return. My most trusted Advisor faced and locked the Calamity within the castle for 100 years, until today the Heir of the Sword that Seals the Darkness along with the rest of JNPR and RWBY struck down Ganon once and for all."
Cheers emerged across the land. The Great Calamity was no more.
"Thus, I name my Advisor the new King for his actions in protecting the people to the best of his ability. Headmaster of Beacon Academy, and King of Hyrule; King Ozpin Tempus Hyrule." King Rhoam said.
"As King Ozpin does not yet have a spouse." Zelda said, taking the center stage of the video. "I, Princess Zelda Hyrule, name Ruby Rose, Yang Xiao-Long, Pyrrha Nikos, Blake Belladonna, Nora Valkyrie, and Weiss Schnee the new Princesses of Hyrule." She took a breath, "They are also heroes of Hyrule along with Lie Ren and the Heir of the Sword that Seals the Darkness; having journeyed with him as they fought to help the people of Hyrule and take back the Divine Beasts from Ganon's Control."
"My name is Link...Princess Zelda's appointed knight and the first Knight Chosen by the Sword that Seals the Darkness." Link quietly said over the broadcast, "Long ago, I met a young boy name Jaune Arc. We became brothers in all but blood. When I fell, the Sword that Seals the Darkness chose my brother as it's new Chosen Knight. Jaune Arc, Chosen Master of the Sword that Seals the Darkness, is my heir."
"Hyrule has now risen from the ashes..." King Rhoam said as Zelda and Link vanished, "May light shine down upon this land." With that, he vanished into the afterlife and the broadcast ended.
Hyrule had a king once again!
Ozpin sipped from a cup as he wore a dark green suit with the crest of Hyrule on it's back as RWBY and JNPR walked alongside him as he lifted a scroll and fussed with a list on it on a green, grassy hill overlooking the ruins of Hyrule Castle, which had construction equipment surrounding it as it was in the process of being rebuilt, with Jaune's house being moved to attach to the castle inside the outer walls.
A lot of people were having trouble imagining the "Heroes of Hyrule" and "Princesses of Hyrule" living outside the castle. Jaune had an engagement ring on his left ring finger over his armor; gold with a symbol of the Triforce. The triangles were made out of a yellow gem; with the Triforce of Courage being a white diamond and the inner space being a red gem.
Zora Princess Mipha had a golden engagement ring with the image of the Triforce in yellow gems, with the Zora symbol in red engraved in each Triforce piece.
Princess Ruby Rose had and engagement ring similar to Mipha's, except the Zora symbol was replaced by the Sheikah Eye.
Princess Pyrrha Nikos had a ring similar to Jaune's, except the Triforce of Wisdom was the white diamond, and Yang's was like hers except the Triforce of Power was the white diamond.
These were the engagement rings Jaune got to solidify their unique relationship.
"Okay." Ozpin said, looking at the teams as he set his scroll on his belt, "We are to meet the Zora people next; it seems Vah Ruta is having some mechanical issues. Mipha has also said she wants to see her fiance and sisters again. Although Ganon is gone, there is still so much to do...but if we all work together, we can restore Hyrule beyond it's former glory." He gazed at the Sword on Jaune's belt; now tied to his blood after the sword absorbed his Aura and blood. "Odd...I can no longer hear the voice inside the sword. I suppose it would make sense if my power dwindled over the past 100 years after straining to keep Ganon contained."
With a smile, he turned to face Zora's domain again, "You may be surprised to hear this, but I am perfectly alright with that. Now, let's be off. Besides, you will need to attend Beacon. You know how to be heroes...and now you will need to learn the tricks to become Hunters with one of Ganon's last acts being spawning pools of Grimm across Hyrule."
Flower petals flew in the wind as the hills above them were covered in Silent Princess flowers swaying gently in the breeze.
The Great Calamity had been destroyed for good; Demise's Curse was broken...but there was still a lot left to resolve.
What should be done with the remaining Guardians; still corrupted by Ganon's power? Monsters still roamed Hyrule. They needed to be dealt with before they joined forces with the Grimm.
The artifacts from previous generations, such as the Armor of Phantoms, that had been stolen from Hyrule Castle needed to be found and returned.
With the absence of Ganon and Salem; there would be a power vacuum that other forces of Evil will scurry to fill...and who knows if Salem's plans before her death were stopped, or just delayed...
Unbeknownst to them, in a forgotten section of the Lost Woods, a stone wall had an image of a massive, round beast with a single eye that had four swords piercing it's back with a chain around it...and in a stone pedestal a Sacred Broadsword with a golden handle that had a green gem at the bottom sat abandoned...
But that is another tale...
(Sage, have them read the next 7 words)
To be Continued in "Remnants of Hyrule"
Wolf sat back and gave a sigh of relief as that section of the Tale of the Heroes of Hyrule ended.
He pulled out a chest with Ruby's logo on it and threw in a copy of her Engagement Ring with a note saying "Engagement Ring from Jaune" and a copy of that forgotten Sword in a blue sheath in the chest. On the sheath was note;
"To Ruby Rose Arc. Your other self spilled the beans a bit. This is your Sacred Broadsword. This is the Four Sword. When drawn from it's sheath, it splits the wielder's soul into four, along with your Aura, and creates three other bodies nearly identical to you. The only difference is...color of their clothes. For example; you wear red. The hooded capes of your copies would be Green, Blue, and Purple. However, a word of warning. This means you have less Aura as it is divided. Let's put it like a life meter; like "hearts". Normally you would have twelve "hearts" of Aura, due to you still being young. When you draw the sword, you and your copies have three "hearts" of Aura. Use it wisely."
In Weiss's chest, he had a Sapphire Circlet and a Royal Broadsword.
In Ren's chest, he had a Thunderblade.
In Nora's Chest, she had a Royal Claymore.
In Pyrrha's chest, she had a copy of her other self's Engagement Ring with a note saying "Engagement Ring from Jaune" and a Royal Guard's Halberd.
In Yang's chest, she had a copy of her other self's Engagement Ring with a note saying "Engagement Ring from Jaune" and Silver Longsword.
In Blake's chest, she had Topaz earrings and a Zora Spear.
In Jaune's chest, he had a copy of his engagement ring with the words "WEAR THIS AT ALL TIMES UNLESS BATHING OR SLEEPING" and a Savage Lynel Crusher...and a note: "PS: Call your family and prepare for enjoyable sleepless nights and wedding plans."
"Hmmm..." Wolf said, "Am I forgetting something?" With that, he snapped his fingers and a copy of the Triforce appeared before it split into three parts. "Oh yeah! These will appear within those three when they read the chapter they awaken. With that, the Pieces turned invisible and they floated over the bag as it slid through a portal on a slide made of ice. "WATCH OUT JAUNE!"
"Knowing his luck...he'll be the one hit...He's lucky in some ways and then becomes the world's punching bag for others."
