Crimson Eyes
Emily Martell
Pools of crimson grow around me,
Mirroring the color of your tearful eyes.
Why do you hide them,
Away from the world?
Thoses shimmering rubees that glisten with sadness.
They speak to my heart,
In a way nothing else can.
For they hold your emotions,
Along with your true pain.
How I wish I could take your burdens away with me.
So i'll ask you today,
In a voice rarely used.
A soft tone that sings out,
Don't fear anymore.
Because I love you.
