Lucy's dream
"Lucy Heartfelia, I have finally found how to enter your dreams. My name is Mystique, I am here to tell you that it is vital that you go with Sting and Rogue to the forest in the west of Magnolia on your 17th birthday. We shall finally meet, It is your destiny. The fate of the world depends on you," A kind feminine voice said softly in the abyss of darkness that surrounded me,
"Why would I listen to a random voice in my dreams? I mean you could be just a wizard invading my dreams to kidnap and kill me, again," I asked through the darkness, I was rather cautious after the Phantom Lord incident all those years ago.
"Because I'm not a wizard my dear, and it was your mother that left this job to Sting when she gave him to Skiadrum and Weisslogia. Please follow these instructions, Lucy, no matter who it is you are leaving behind," The calm voice spoke, Whoever's voice it was, it made me calm, Surely the person this voice belonged to could be trusted? It reminded me of my mothers calming voice, not that I remembered it too well.
"But why is it my destiny? What do you want from me?" I asked curious of what this 'destiny' was. Was it something my mother had wanted?
"I will tell you when we meet in the forest dear," Mystique said, their voice was soft and kind and reminded me of home, of a calm serene place.
"C-could I at least see you now?" I said a little frightened at what might happen. I heard a kind chuckle in the darkness and then there was a bright shining light it was so bright I was forced to close my eyes for a moment before I finally managed to open them again and look towards it. What I saw was a majestic golden dragon with a kind expression on her face.
"I am Mystique, The Celestial dragon. I am your dragon Lucy" She said coming to hug me. And that's when the light consumed me.
I shot up from my bed slightly frightened and sad a cold sweat dripped down my neck. I felt warm strong arms wrapping themselves around me tightly and heard a small inaudible grumble come from my left and when I looked to the side of my bed I saw Natsu sleeping peacefully next to me his arms still wrapped around me trying to tug me back down as if I were his own personal teddy bear. I smiled softly at the sight of him, i'd missed this, I missed him sneaking into my room at an odd hour of the night because he couldn't sleep and my bed was supposedly comfier than his. I didn't mind finding him there he looked so adorable and childlike when he slept but in the mornings when it was time to be guildmates only I had to put on the 'we're only friends stop doing this' act. With a heavy sigh I looked out my window and saw the moon was still high in the sky, the stars twinkling lightly a small smile crept onto my face, I could leave him to sleep for a few more hours and have a personal body warmer for the rest of the silent chilly night.
"I don't want you to leave. Luce." Natsu's gruff sleepy mumble sounded through the silence of my room. I turned to look at him suddenly wondering if I'd woken him only to find his eyes firmly shut indicating it was only his sleep talking,
"I won't leave you Natsu. I'll always be with you," I whispered before I lay back down and snuggled up in the blanket burying my head into Natsu's warm chest... "Your where my home is" I whispered softly as I let sleep take over.
Friday crept up to Lucy and Natsu all too quickly. Fairy Tail was in low spirits as their beloved blonde ray of sunshine celestial mage was leaving. They had all known this morning when the blonde and her brother walked in, they had been talking rather seriously and as Lucy entered looked a little sad her eyes were slightly red and puffy but she gave everyone a large smile as she walked slowly up to masters office. It seemed as though their guild had just died. Everyone's eyes followed the celestial mage.
"Hey Natsu? Are you alright?" Lisanna Asked the now sulking dragon. He'd been getting more and more depressed as time ticked by,
Natsu nodded as he sulked in a corner causing the guild to become even more depressed, two of their loudest fun members where sad, the guild didn't like it. It wasn't normal for Natsu not to be yelling at Gray to fight or calling him a weird insult to pick a fight and it was unusual for the celestial mage to say nothing as she entered the guild. After her party she'd entered the guild every day with the brightest smile on her face calling to everyone good morning.
"Hey ash for brains! stop your dumb sulking, your bringing the whole guild down." The now bare in his boxers Ice mage yelled toward Natsu.
In reply to this Natsu did something no one thought he would do, he ignored Gray, He completely blanked him... of all people to blank it was fearsome to see him blank his rival, the entirety of the guild gasped in shock, something surely had to have happened.
Soon after, Lucy walked down from masters office with tears still rolling down her face. She didn't want to leave, she wanted to stay and have fun again with her family. She wanted to have fun here for the rest of her life and grow old like Master, she wanted to stay with Natsu.
"E-everyone..." Lucy called as she began trying to pull herself together, tears streaming down her face, "I-I've quit the guild. I m-must to tell you i-it's not anyone's fault, but m-my brother and I h-have something we m-must do. I'll be back in 7-ish years, I-I have written you all letters that are with M-Master in his office. I-I'm so sorry I can't tell you in p-person and I'll m-miss you all d-dearly. To me, you are my only t-true f-f-family." Lucy said with a quavering voice, she couldn't stay strong anymore and she broke down in tears as she finished talking, Sting was about to run and hug her but Natsu got there before him, Natsu calmly stroked Lucy's blonde hair as she cried into his chest.
"Luce, please be careful, come back to use without a hair out of place, you got it?" Natsu whispered as he hugged her tightly, he felt her nod meekly on his chest.
Natsy didn't want to let her go, he still didn't trust Rogue and Sting and he wanted to stay by her side to protect her with everything he had. He wasn't sure he could live 7 years without his ray of sunshine or bed buddy... as the guild watched their celestial mage leave they cause a glimps of a single glistening tear from Natsu, though it was only there for a mere second before it had been briskly brushed away...
