Chapter 29

I'm back everybody, and this time I'm back for good. I figured I start off with this story and do SSP possibly next. I don't really know yet but I'll figure it out as I go, until then, thank you all for your support, and please leave a review if you can.

(Matthew POV)

When I woke up the following morning, it was very early. Nobody was even up yet so I decided to go downstairs and eat something. I was still sore, but it was nothing I couldn't handle. It took a while, but I made it downstairs alone. At least, I thought I was alone.

I walked into the kitchen and was surprised to see William sitting down, staring at me.

"Your up early Matthew, going somewhere?" He questioned me.

"No, I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep, so I figured I'd wait for you and Nicholas to get up." I answered quietly, trying not to wake anyone up.

He didn't say anything, he just continued to stair at me almost as if he was staring into my mind itself. Without another word, he got up and walked over towards me.

"You sure about that, you aren't trying to sneak off somewhere, like maybe our teammates house?" He continued trying to pry into my thoughts.

"I'm not lying William, honest." I protested, starting to raise my voice.

His eyes widened is shock and he took a step back, obviously not expecting me to react so strongly, before taking a deep breath.

"Fine, I'm sorry Matthew, I'm going to go wake up Nicholas, I bet he will be happy." He joked, his attitude changing so quickly.

I sighed and sat down on the couch, I still didn't understand much about that Riolu. His mood seemed to change so often that it became impossible to tell how he was going to be. Then again, I didn't really know much about any of my teammates, maybe I could get them to open up to me one time, I'd have to give it a try.

I waited for a few minutes until William came back downstairs, a grumpy Dewott in tow.

"All right, the gangs all here." William joked, Nicholas just mumbled something under his breath.

"You ok Nicholas, you look like your about to croak." I joked, he didn't laugh.

He rolled his eyes and walked into the kitchen, before coming back in a few seconds later, seeming a little bit better.

"Ok then, now that we're all ready, I guess we should talk about our situation, our other Riolu teammate is going to be down for a few days, and our Servine friend won't be back for another week or so, which means it's just us for a while." He explained.

"So, what happens now? Are we just going to go on as if nothing ever happened?" Nicholas complained.

"I don't know, I want to say we should keep doing missions by ourselves, but I don't know how well that will work. Especially considering you and Matthew are the same type." William answered, sounding distressed.

I sighed and sat down. Without a fourth teammate, things certainly wouldn't be as easy. But I was sure we could handle it. William was capable, and I knew I didn't have to worry about Nicholas either. I was the only useless one, but I couldn't let them know that. Even if I didn't think I could do it, I had to try.

"I know we can do this William, we're all pretty strong here." I encouraged him.

"Matthew's right, if we stick together we can manage on our own, let's get going!" William shouted, feeling very enthusiastic.

Nicholas and I smiled as we headed out the door, today was going to be very interesting.

This is a chapter for TSOM I started a long while ago, I figured I'd release it to show you I was still alive. The next chapter will be released either today or tomorrow, until then, thank you for your support and leave a review if you can.
