"What the heck did I just saw?!"
The red-headed Chinese warrior roared in surprise as the memory segment was finished. The explorer got a far-away look on his eyes, which he quickly dispels by shaking his head vigorously. Alex giggled at the warrior's reaction. "My god, the look on your face!"
"The hell did I just witness?! What the heck are those, those things?!" Meiling literally screamed at the last question, prompting the explorer to smile even wider. The blonde witch on the other hand got a curious look on her face. "Ey, what did you see Meiling?!"
"Hell, that's what" Alex replied. "Marisa, you came here for the books I presume?"
The witch grinned at the explorer's reply. "Nope! I just happen to feel a significant disturbance in the space-time continuum so I decided to investigate it. Who knows that another human gonna end up here of all places?"
The explorer chuckled at his allegedly old friend. "Ja, maybe if Yukari didn't messed up I might be home right now. But this is home, in a sense but not actually home."
"What does that mean?" Marisa asked him, only for Meiling to answer her question. "He…he came from the future."
Silence. That's what greets the trio. Soon, an uproarious laughter erupted from said witch. The blonde witch clutched her stomach as she chortled to her heart's content. "You? From the future?"
Alex was annoyed at the witch's accusation. "I really came from the future! Yukari threw me here for no fucking reason!"
"Yeah! And I'm the queen of Gensokyo!" Marisa replied, still not believing whatever the explorer said.
"You know what? Fuck it. You know Memoripuraiya?" The explorer asked the young witch. The witch grinned back. "Of course I know! I'm a magician after all! I studied magic to the point of madness!"
"This is madness" Meiling muttered under her breath. The explorer caught what she said and replied. "Madness? This is Gensokyo!"
Meiling opened her mouth to retort but she found nothing to refute his statement. This is Gensokyo, the land where Illusion and Myth comes true. Anything that was improbable and ridiculous can be found here, from scary monsters to omnipresent goddess to magic-wielding human, Gensokyo got them all. Why does an explorer from the future be any alien from the everyday fare of Gensokyo?
"You two are funny" Marisa said. "You know what? Why not? Let's see what makes you tick!" before the explorer can protest she grabbed him by the shoulder and activated the spell. Moments later, she too, descent into the gates of hell…
