Confession

Katsuki Bakugou was many things. He was strong, smart, arrogant, an asshole and he was destined to become the next number one hero. It was obvious to him that he would make it. He had the best quirk, the smarts, and the drive to be the very best hero the world had ever seen. Who cared if his personality was often compared to dog shit. He was going to be the best damn hero the world had ever seen!

Better than even All Might!

Him going to U.A was an easy decision. The best hero school in the world would obviously be the only place for him. It helped produced All Might after all, and he was determined to out due the number one heroes' accomplishment while in that establishment.

He was going to be the damn best and he knew he could do it.

Then he got caught by some sludge freak.

It ate away at him on how weak he was. Worse is that he had to get help from those puny heroes, that didn't even do anything to the fucker! He had it under control anyway! But he knew better. He was so close to death before All Might showed up and blew the freak away with a single punch.

It was a grim reminder of just how freakishly strong the number one hero was. It made him realize how much stronger he had to get before he could surpass him. It was a hard pill to swallow but he was nothing if not tenacious. He worked even harder, trained his quirk further and soon enough he was at the entrance exam.

He dominated. Got first place with an astounding score. Though he did grumble when he found out about rescue points. The fuck were those?! Damn hidden score bullshit!

Still, he got first place without it, so he was content. He showed up for class ready to dominate and show the group of extras that he would have to spend three years with, that he was the damn best of the best. That no extra could ever touch him in being the next number one.

He was wrong. So very wrong.

His class was filled with some amazing and talented extras Bakugou had to admit begrudgingly. From the rich girl who could create anything from cannons to a god damn jaw of life, to another student who could freeze an entire building in less then a second.

It was a humbling day when he had to face both of them in that second day exercise. He got frozen solid then his own explosions were proved useless when the bitch made a fucking kinetic shield. Like, fucking how!?

He lost that day. Soundly. His own pride and arrogance got in the bloody way. After that he vowed to not fall behind again. It was harder than he realized but he pushed himself to be the damn best, and Katsuki Bakugou was no fucking quitter.

He grew, he got better. Won the sports festival and became the thing to talk about and look forward too. He became the fucking talk of the world for making his goal crystal clear. He was going to be number one and take the world by storm.

In all intense in purposes, he should have been the most talked about thing in U.A.

Except, he wasn't.

No, instead of people screaming his name and demanding he get pushed to go pro after wining the damn festival, the clueless masses were focused on a recent scandal that the school had gotten involved in.

Bakugou had no idea what exactly happened. But from listing to Racoon Eyes gossip in class, he was able to piece together a small picture.

A general studies student had jumped off the roof of the school a week ago. It surprised the blond since he never even heard about it. Apparently, the school covered it up quickly and tried to reassure the masses. The girl was alright and would make a full recovery in time. He scoffed ignoring the feeling of bitterness bubble in his stomach. Yet it was what the pink skinned girl said next that truly caught his interest.

Apparently one of the general studies gym teachers had been recently fired for apparently getting forcefully involved with some of the female students, including the one that had jumped. Now, Bakugou would have scoffed in disgust at the act and wished to blow up the sick freak, but something Raccoon Eyes said made the blond pause in surprise.

He confessed.

In front of a gathered general studies assembly, the man broke down into tears and confessed it all. How he was forcing girls to sleep with him. How he used his place as the highly regarded general studies gym teacher to get away with it. How he tortured his own students to keep quiet and in line. He admitted to every act he committed and begged to be taken away.

It was a major shock to the staff and students who had never expected the man could do such a thing. He was a highly regarded retired hero that had joined the school after an injury forced him into early retirement. Most of the staff liked him. He was charming and seemed like a nice person who pushed his students to do their best. No one could have expected that he would be doing this behind their backs, and getting away with it.

It left the staff feeling betrayed, and left the hero teachers feeling like they failed. That they failed to save the students from such a villain that had masqueraded as a friend and colleague. It was a mistake they vowed to never make again.

The school had wanted to silently handle the issue, but they were too late. The news had leaked out after a few of the general studies students started spreading the news online and sharing the video of the mans confession. The news got to the parents and now U.A had more then just villain safety issues to deal with.

Yet, for Bakugou there was only one real thing that truly shocked him. The bastard confessed? Why? Why would someone be that stupid to confess to doing something like that? What was the point? Did his conscience finally decided to kick in? Did the principle find out? It didn't make any damn sense.

He scowled in confusion as he looked ahead with folded arms. The guy sounded like a real piece of work though, and the teen had to be a little glad that the creep was fired. Good since he would have marched down to that bastard and throw an explosion to his face for being a creep and messing with his moment.

Yet, that wasn't the end of the story apparently. The pink haired girl had then shifted her tale to explain that a series of mysterious letters were found around the general studies classrooms and halls a week before the man confessed. The girl went to her phone and began scrolling before stopping and lifting the phone to show her gathered friends what she discovered.

It was a bulletin board, nothing that surprising. The hero course section of the school had them too, for posting information and upcoming events. But what was surprising was that the board was covered with the same red paper. Each one had cut out letters from magazines that read,

Sir Suguru Kamoshida, the utter bastard of lust. We know how shitty you are, and that you put your twisted desires on students that can't fight back. That's why we have decided to steal away those desires and make you confess your sins. This will be done tomorrow, so we hope you will be ready.

From, the Phantom Thieves of Hearts

Bakugou stared at the image with a deep confused scowl. Phantom Thieves? What kind of bullshit is this?! Some kind of vigilante group? But why go after a general ed teacher? Why not a villain? It made no goddamn sense!

It made his skin craw to think that some nothing vigilante group was messing with his school. Yet, he was even more upset and angry over all his thunder being stolen by the sick freak's confession and to these so called Phantom Thieves.

He grumbled and scowled angrily folding his arms over his chest as he walked down the halls after the bell had rung to end the day. The explosion quirk user hated to admit that he wished he had gotten more attention for winning the damn festival but everyone else was more focused on the freak's confession and those stupid Phantom Thieves. It pissed him off something fierce!

He gazed over to the side of the hallway as he noticed a group of girls all gathered with their phones out and talking about something. He didn't care, all he wanted was to go home eat and train.

"Did you hear about that new general ed student?" One of the girls asked with a frown.

Bakugou paused, and looked over at the girls with narrowed eyes. 'New student?'

The other girl within the group nodded. "Yeah, apparently he has a record too."

'A record?' Bakugou had to blink in surprise at that. Someone with a record got in U.A?

"Then how did he get accepted into U.A?" Another girl asked out with a worried frown. "You don't think he will do anything, right?" she asked.

"Doubt it." Another girl spoke up with a frown. "The school is filled with pro heroes. If he even thinks of acting up, they will kick him out and throw him in jail for life."

"Well, that's good." The girl said sounding relived.

"Didn't stop what that gym teacher did." Another girl replied with a scowl her grip on her phone growing tighter.

"How did he get away with that for so long anyway?" The worried girl asked again holding her phone close and looking at her friends in worry. "Y-You don't think the other teachers are like that, right?" she asked.

"No...I don't think so." The confident one said, though now she wasn't sounding so sure as she had paused to look down at her cell phone with a small frown.

"What did that new kid even he do anyway?" One of the girls asked hoping to change the subject.

"I heard he killed someone!" A cheerful girl shouted out.

"Really? I heard he was in the Yakuza." Another said.

Bakugou decided to walk away from the conversation at that point. His scowl was reinforced, and his eyes were narrowed in thought. A new kid had showed up recently and then that fucking teacher confessed his sins to the public. He wasn't stupid enough to believe in coincidences.

Deciding to find this new kid and get some answers, while giving him a piece of his mind. He marched down to the general studies section of U.A to do a little hunting.

If Bakugou was being honest with himself, he wasn't sure what to expect the general studies section of U.A would look like. He wasn't that surprised to see that it was mostly boring though.

It looked like a typical high school. More streamlined then even the hero courses. No large doors or even special types of walls or floors. Just a rather mundane looking section of an otherwise remarkable school.

He had to admit it made some amount of sense, as this section of the school was more focused on those who had lesser quirks that weren't as flashy or damage dealing. He had remembered reading at one point that the school had even recently allowed those without quirks to enter the school in for some fucking reason.

Just thinking about it made the blond want to blow something up.

Bakugou glared darkly as he walked down the halls. His hands were resting in his pockets as he passed by a few students who lingered in the hallways. Even they looked boring. No distinct quirks that made them stand out. Nothing like the pink skinned girl, or even the frog chick, or that guy with the extra arms. These were extras within even their own story.

The exploding quirk user huffed as he ignored the wide-eyed looks he was getting from a few of the students. Of course they would. He was the winner of the sports festival. The freshmen that took first place in the entrance exam. The whole damn school knew who he was at this point.

It lifted his ego a bit to see the extras gaze at him with such awe. It reminded him of his Junior High days. Being the top dog of the school and making even the teachers scared of him had been oddly empowering. Even if his old school was fucking terrible, it did boost his ego.

His glare sharpened as he gazed around, his crimson eyes searching for his target. He didn't have much info to go on. Except that the kid was a new student and he had a criminal record. He wished he had interrogated that group of extras from before, but he gritted his teeth and continued his search.

It was the end of the day, so it allowed him to gaze at the students who decided to stay behind to hang out with friends or start to head to the few clubs that the general studies program had. His scowl grew deeper as he rested his back on a wall next to a staircase and glared at any passing student.

He wasn't going to stop till he found his target and have a few strong words about fucking with his glory.

Lucky for him he didn't have to wait long.

A door opened from behind him making him turn and look up the the staircase with a raised eyebrow. He looked over and saw a little sign that told him that it led to the roof of the school. He frowned when he heard small footsteps approaching him. His eyes narrowed but then they turned into the fiercest of glares as the figure came around the corner with familiar curly green hair.

With reflexes that he gained from natural skill and training the blond reached out gripped the boy's shoulder and slammed him into the wall he had been leaning on with resounding force making the teen drop his bag to the floor, missing the alarmed sound that came from within the teen before him let out a startled gasp of pain as the air was knocked out of him. His head moved up and bright emerald green met crimson red.

Bakugou growled lowly his hands popping with mini explosions. "What the fuck are you doing here Deku?"

The boy named Deku stared at his assaulter with wide eyes. "K-Kaachan?" the boy asked with surprise but winced when he felt the teens exploding hand grow closer to his freckled face.

"Answer the fucking question Deku!" The teen warned his tone incensed.

"I j-just transferred here a few w-weeks ago." The green haired boy revealed with wide scared eyes.

"Just transferred?" Bakugou asked with a scowl before he froze in realization. If the damn nerd just got here, then that means...

"You're the new student? The one with the record?" he growled out with his glare growing darker.

The teen tensed but nodded slowly his head lowered down so his eyes were hidden behind his green hair. The green haired teen flinched when the explosions grew bigger and louder next to his ear.

"What the fuck do you know about that gym teacher?" Bakugou asked and had to smirk darkly at seeing the teen's form tense. "I fucking knew you were an idiot." He reveled in the wimp's flinch, "But I had no idea you would go that far to mess with me."

The teen blinked and gazed up at the boy with confusion. "What?" he asked and let out a yelp when the boy lifted him from the wall only to slam him back onto it making him gasp out in pain.

Bakugou again missed the alarmed sound that came from the nerd's bag and the sudden grazing of his lower pant leg.

"You fucking did something to that guy! I don't know what and honestly, I don't give a shit. But you fucking got in my way again, you worthless freak." Bakugou explained with a scowl. "That sick fuck got exposed and all the attention that should have been on me was instead on some perverted teacher!"

The green haired teen just stared up at the blond boy in bewildered shock. "That's why your upset?" he asked dumbfounded.

"OF COURSE THAT'S WHY, YOU LITTLE SHIT!" the boy bellowed out making the teen wince as his ears started to ring. "I'm supposed to be the only thing in this damn school that matters. The next number one hero! I don't need my thunder stolen from some fucking general studies teacher who wanted to get frisky! Or the fucking students who couldn't protect themselves!"

Bakugou didn't know what had happened. One moment Deku was the same spinless twerp he has always been, but then the boy's entire attitude shifted.

The green haired teen had stiffened, it was a subtle moment but it was enough to catch the blond's attention. The green haired teen then snapped his head up and Bakugou was surprised to see a glare that damn near rivaled his own. He also saw a scowl on the shorter boy's face, one that Bakugou had never seen the nerd make before in his life.

Yet it was his eyes that caught Bakugou so off guard. Instead of the same look of recognition, awe, and fear that he was used to seeing in the green haired teen. He instead saw a raging fire of newfound courage, anger, and determination shine in his emerald green eyes. His gaze was not that of a worthless cowered who was going to sit back and let things happen. No, these eyes were challenging, fierce, and strong.

The eyes of a rebel that was about to cut lose.

"Who cares about your thunder!?" The teen shouted out causing the blond to grit his teeth in anger. "Kamoshida was a monster! He was preying on the general studies girls and was forcing the students in his sports club to overwork! He abused them!" The green haired teen shouted out causing the few students that had decided to linger and gather around the building conflict, gasp in surprise.

"No one would listen to anything my friend and I said! We tried to tell the other teachers but they didn't believe us! They believed him over us!" He shook his head, his green eyes burning. "We tried to get some of the students to talk but they wouldn't! They were scared of him Kaachan!"

Bakugou hated when the nerd did this. When the nerd decided to play hero. It never ended well for the green haired teen and just angered the spiky haired boy more so. Someone who was powerless could never be a hero.

He slammed the boy back into the wall making him gasp out in pain. "Stop playing the fucking hero Deku! You know you can't! You fucking quirkless freak. Now tell me what the fuck you did to get that teacher to talk!" he warned as the explosions going off in his palm grew even louder and stronger.

The boy named Deku glared back at the blond. Showing no fear for once in his life. "I didn't do anything." he said back with force.

"Don't bullshit with me Deku!" He warned again.

"I didn't do anything. He confessed on his own." The green haired teen replied with a challenging glare.

Bakugou scowled darkly at him he lifted his hand up and placed it on the teens shoulder as he caused a small explosion to go off causing the teen to flinch in pain but his glare did not lesson much to the blonds growing frustration. "What did a fucking quirkless freak like you do to make him confess?" he demanded with anger and spite.

Then, the boy did something that left the blond haired teen gaping in stunned surprise.

He smirked.

His smirk was full of arrogance and life. It was a confident smirk that shined with an almost rebellious feeling. It didn't fit on the face of the quirkless teen, and yet it was almost perfect. For his eyes was also shining with the same rebellious light that his smirk seemed to share. For a moment Bakugou didn't know who exactly he was holding against the wall.

"You said it yourself Kaachan. I'm a qurikless freak. What could I do?" he asked out, his tone filled with so much mocking that it made the blond grind his teeth in anger.

It was a challenge. He fucking knew it was a challenge! Yet as he glared sharply at the smirking teen he held against the wall he had to stop and think about what was the damn nerd trying to do. Was it a challenge he was willing to play? Was he willing to give this fucking nerd the satisfaction? Or was something else at play?

"GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HIM!?" a loud voice shouted out suddenly making Bakugou blink then gasp in surprise as he was shoved roughly by someone causing him to fall to the floor with a thud.

The blond growled and quickly got up to his feat and glared down at the two new individuals who stood before him.

One was a male teen who had blond spiky hair much like his own. Bakugou could tell it was dyed in a way that was similar to his classmate with the hardening quirk. He wore the standard black blazer of the general studies course, but it was open to show the yellow graphic tee shirt he wore underneath. His dark brown eyes were set into a nasty glare that Bakugou was quick to match.

The teen looked like a delinquent. The hero in training scoffed and glared darkly at the extra that dared attack him. He could take him down in seconds.

"What is wrong with you?!" a girl's voice shouted out.

Bakugou moved his gaze from the fake blond and turned to the girl who was kneeling down next to the damn nerd and had her arm wrapped around his shoulder.

Unlike the boy, she was a natural blond as her puffy hair was set in two pigtails. She had a pretty face as she had on the same blazer as the boy except her shirt was a white varsity hoodie. She also wore bright red pants. Her blue eyes though were frigid as she stared angrily at the exploding expert.

Bakugou stared at the two for a moment before turning his glare went back to the wide eyed Deku. "The fuck are they Deku?" he demanded. He scoffed when the fake blond stepped in his way.

"The fuck you call him?!" The boy demanded with a glare that if Bakugou wasn't so pissed at, would have noticed it was oddly similar to his own.

Bakugous glare grew harsher. "Move extra." He ordered as he raised his hand and let off some small explosives.

The teens eyes widened, and Bakugou smirked. Just like Junior High. Whenever someone wanted to stand up to him, he would just show off his quirk and they would be quick to comply and back down. He was the top dog after all, and he knew that in this section of U.A, no one could touch him when it came to power.

So, imagine his surprise when the fake blond gave him an even fiercer glare and stepped up to him, standing so close that their noses were almost touching. "Make me!" he growled out with his angry brown eyes staring right into his own with no fear.

Before Bakugou could blow him up and show the fucker his place, the damn nerd decided to intervene.

"R-Ryuji! Its okay." The green haired teen said as he gently placed his hand on the taller teens shoulder.

"Its not okay! This fucker was assaulting you man!" The fake blond named Ryuji shouted out in anger.

"I-I know." The green haired teen replied with a tired sigh. Bakugou had to roll his eyes at the blond-haired girls cold glare directed at him as she stood next to the nerd. "I'm alright." he assured the fake blond.

Ryuji turned to stare at the nerd for a moment before letting out a frustrated sigh. "Fine." He breathed and stepped back to stand next to him.

The teen named Deku let out a tired sigh and Bakugou saw his once childhood friend turn to him with a dull look. "Kaachan, meet my… friends. Ryuji Sakamoto and Ann Takamaki. Ann, Ryuji meet Katsuki Bakugou." He introduced.

"This is Kaachan?" the girl named Ann asked with narrowed eyes as her glare sharpened and her scowl grew. If she had a fire quirk, the spiky blond would have guessed he would have been incinerated right about now.

"The fucker that bullied you since you were kids, right?" Ryuji asked his glare growing and he cracked his neck as if he was preparing for a brawl.

"Yeah. That one." The nerd sounded so tired. "Are we done here Kaachan?" he asked as he lowered down and grabbed his bag from the ground gently. The blond missing as the bag seemed to shift slightly as if someone had just rushed into it.

"Like hell we are Deku!" The hero in training shouted. "How the fuck did you get a damn record!? What kind of bullshit did you pull to get here!?" he demanded taking a step forward and scoffed as the two extras at the nerds side moved closer to the freak to protect him.

Like they could do anything!

"I tried to play hero."

Bakugou stopped. He looked back at the green haired teen with wide eyes as he gazed back with dull lifeless eyes. "I tried to play hero, Kaachan. In the end I got burned for it." He revealed with a shrug. "The principal of the school decided to let me into the general studies program as a sort of rehabilitation." He answered.

'The fuck?' Bakugou stared at his former childhood friend with wide eyes. Never expecting that. He didn't miss the two moving closer to the boy or how the girl had gripped his hand tightly in her own. He just didn't care.

"I think we're done here." The girl spoke with heat in her tone as she glared at the spiky blond haired hero student.

Bakugou didn't even acknowledge her. He continued to stare into the eyes of his former friend and saw something that made him flinch. That same spark that had always shined in his eyes, that same spark of wanting to be a hero. It was gone.

Hell, even that rebels spark from earlier was gone! It spooked the teen. For as long as he had known the green haired boy, that spark had never gone out. Not when he was diagnosed as quirkless. Not when he was told he could never be a hero. Not even when the blond haired boy tried to remove it himself. To see it gone now...it unnerved him.

It felt wrong.

There was no excitement for being in U.A. No gushing over the heroes. Not even showing any pride over playing the hero. Only dull empty eyes that showed Bakugou just how broken the boy before him had become.

He retreated that day. Wanting to get away from that dull look that haunted him. Day after day the image and raw emotions that it forced out of him grew more bearable. Yet, the wrongness never fully went away.

Time moved on and with it, Bakugou would continue to push himself to be the best. He grew stronger. Started to show up even that rich bitch and the icy hot jerk. He was becoming the strongest in his class. It felt good.

He helped stop some hero killer. Sure he had to get help from his Class Rep and the damn Icy Hot, but he did! Well technology Endeavor stopped the freak before he could kill them all, but he still got some good hits in on that fucker!

Finals were challenging, but he overcame them with some smarts and fiery determination. He showed All Might why he was going to surpass him that day. It felt fucking great. Even if his whole-body ached for the next few days.

Then summer camp happened. He doesn't remember much besides fighting some stupid villains before being kidnapped by said villains who wanted him to join them. Like fucking hell he was going to do that! He was about to blow up the whole base when All Might and the heroes showed up.

He escaped thanks to the few extras in his class joining up and risking their damn lives and careers to save him. He would never admit it, but that did earn them some of his respect.

Those thoughts quickly left though when he had to watch the number one hero go through the fight of his life. Using every last ounce of his power to defeat that All for One bastard. All Might won, but at a cost. It left him as a sickly thin shell of a man and all that amazing power he once had, was gone.

It was all his fault. All of it. He caused the number one hero to use all his power to save him. He felt weak. Humiliated and distraught over the idea that he was the cause of the number one hero's retirement.

The dorms were made shortly afterword. It was a major transition to get used to. But Bakugou adapted. He was rather good at that. Living with the fucking extras was not fun but at least it was entertaining to some degree.

It had only been a week since moving into the dorms that a new bombshell had been dropped on the hero world. One that had changed everything and threw the hero profession into a spiral of uncertainty.

The new number one hero Endeavor had confessed to abusing his family on live TV.

The entire class had been watching the coronation together. A bonding moment that Racoon Eyes had mentioned they should do together. They wanted to show some support for the next number one hero even if the guy came off as a major jerk.

No one was expecting for him to walk out onto the podium and confess his sins to the world.

From forcing his wife into a quirk marriage. To forcing himself onto her to have children with the correct quirk to surpass All Might. To not caring about his other children and focusing on the one who did have the quirk he wanted. To the death of his first child. To forcing his wife into a mental asylum do to the assault and trauma she suffered and for damaging his prized possession. Everything was exposed from the hero's own lips.

Shoto was wide eyed in shock as he watched his father expose everything to the world. His quirk acted up slightly due to his shock, causing the air on one side of him to grow warm and the other to grow cold. Momo tried to help calm down by placing her arm around his abdomen and lean into him, but it didn't seem to be helping.

Everyone could only stare at the screen in wide eyed shock. They weren't alone as the new number two and three heroes stared at Endeavor with looks of shock and horror. Everyone around the country from heroes and even villains watched as the new number one hero begged to be put away for his crimes with wavering feelings of shock.

On that day, Hawks was given the new number one hero position. Something he was not expecting to happen, and the country was left to wonder what the future of heroes was going to be like after this bombshell.

Once the program had ended, no one moved. They just saw history happen before them. Never in their lives did they expect to see something like this. It unnerved them and made them question a lot of things about the career they were heading down.

Bakugou watched as the fire ice user quickly left the dorm room seeing the rich bitch watch him with a sad and worried expression. He decided to follow him to demand some answers about what the fuck they just saw.

It reminded him way to much of what had happened at the beginning of the year.

He followed him to the main gates and quickly caught up to the teen and griping his shoulder, forcing him to turn around. He paused however as he saw the scared look in the often-aloof teens mismatched eyes. "The fuck was that?" Bakugou asked with glare.

Shoto glared back, his quirk started acting up. Frost gathered on his right and embers started shooing off on his left. "Why do you want to know?" he demands with a forceful tone.

"Because your old man just confessed to fucking abuse! Fuck Icy Hot!" Bakugou growled out holding his head in both anger and frustration. "Was it true?!" he demanded.

Shoto glared darkly at the teen, "Why should I tell you?" he asked sharply the heat growing unsteady and the ice growing colder.

"Because, you fucker! If it was true, then you might know why he decided to spill out his dirty laundry on fucking national TV!" He bellowed.

Shoto paused at that, his eyes widening before his quirk suddenly shut off as if he was hit by an epiphany. "They did it…" he whispered under his breath.

Bakugou's glare narrowed as he had heard the teen. "Did what?" he demanded with a scowl. Honestly, these fucking extras were so hard to work with!

"Changed his heart." Shoto said with wide eyes. No longer was he looking at the blond boy but a small smile had started to grow on his face. "They…they really did it." He said shaking his head in wonder.

"Who are they Icy Hot?" Bakugou asked with a scowl as his patience was running thin. The answer he would get however would not be one he was expecting.

"The Phantom Thieves of Hearts." Shoto would reveal with an almost revered tone as if the name now held more importance to the Hot and Cold user.

A week had passed since that day. It had been one crazy fucking weak. With Endeavor's confession, the public had gone crazy. The media started running a smear campaign against heroes and the Hero Public Safety Commission for not catching what the flame bastard was doing earlier.

It wasn't pretty. The pro hero profession was now under the microscope. Making sure the pros were actual doing a good work and not abusing their power by being scumbags. The public was now demanding for information on their personal life's to be made public. Something that the heroes were trying hard to fight against.

It was a turning point. One that many believed needed to be done. While others wished for things to go back to the ways it was before hand. U.A was hit hard as well, as many of the media outlets was demanding information on the hero course students and if they are being taught correctly.

It was becoming a major pain. Yet, there was some good that had come from this.

Villain activity had slowed down. The few villains that did end up trying anything were often taken down quickly by a few of the more up in coming heroes and the few major pros. Even more shocking though, was that the police had picked up on some rumors that some members of the League of Villains had left the group. No one knew if this was true, but they couldn't help but hope it was.

Yet, for the spiky haired hero in training, he had decided to figure out the mystery to this puzzle that had caused this major shift in the hero society of Japan. It all started and ended with one group. One major group that seemed to be at the center of all of this.

The Phantom Thieves of Hearts.

Bakugou scowled as he typed away into the computer that resided within the school library. Searching for anything he could find on these so called Phantom Thieves.

Twice they had popped up on his radar. Once at the beginning of the year with the pervy gym teacher, and now with the Pro Hero Endeavor. Both cases were similar; Both were highly respected figures, they had good marks that showcased their worth, both turned out to be assholes and both ended up confessing their sins to the world and begged to be taken in due to what they had done.

An instant change of heart.

Bakugou didn't buy it for a second. Something else was going on. He just didn't know what that was. All he knew, was that those damn Phantom Thieves were behind this.

Apparently, the Hero Public Safety Commission did as well. They had recently released a statement about these Thieves a few days after Endeavor was incarcerated. Basically, it talked about how the Phantom Thieves should not be viewed as heroes for what they were doing. Going against the law and causing social unrest for everyone. If spotted they should be taken in for questioning.

Boy did the fucking media love this. Even with that recent pain, the statement did provide something useful for the hero in training. While it contained basic information it also provided the teen with the one thing he needed above all else. Proof that they were real.

Now all he had to do, was figure out how the hell were they doing this to people.

He scowled leaning back in the chair the library in U.A provided. While the library had a large selection of books ranging from 'Quirk Law' to 'Economics of the Hero World', it also held a database that was rich with information. It was also free to students, so that was a bonus.

Bakugou searched for his targets finding some rather interesting stories and reports about these so-called vigilantes. They had been rather busy it would seem.

From the start of the year; they had targeted the gym teacher, gone after some shady artist who was using his own student's art as his own, took down a mafia boss who was scamming the local aria, took on a Yakuza head who was preforming experiments on wanting to cure the world of quirks, to even facing down a highly viewed food business enterprise owner over worker negligence. In the end, they all confessed. Each and every single one of these people confessed their sins to the public.

Bakugou scowled and narrowed his eyes in deep thought. How the fuck they were doing this he hadn't an idea. Could it be a quirk? If so how fucking strong dose it have to be to take down fucking Endeavor? How many of these Phantom Thieves were there? He didn't know. What he did know though, was that he was going to take them down.

"You're looking for trouble you know."

Bakugou blinked and looked over to see a girl around his age with brown hair done in a bob cut standing on the other side of the desk. The girls hair looked like how that pink cheeked girl in his class did it, except it made this woman look more serious then cute. She had a French-braid style headband that matched her hair color and her eyes are a reddish brown that if the light hit them right would make them look fully red. She wore the traditional outfit for the General Studies students. She had a few books in her arms and she was giving him a critical look with a frown.

"The fuck you say?" he asked with a scowl already not liking this extra.

The girl huffed and rolled her eyes. "Looking into these matters is not going to lead you to anything good." She explained further giving him a condescending look.

It pissed him off greatly. "Who the fuck asked you?" he asked back with a scowl.

She bristled at his tone and glared right back at him. Her eyes were sharp and glowing with a hidden fire. "No one. I just thought I would give out some advice." She spoke in a cold tone.

The blond snorted and looked back at the screen. "Whatever." He muttered dismissively and continued to glare at the screen with a scowl.

He ignored the girl who began to walk out of the library, but he did notice her take a moment to look back at him with hidden malice in her eyes and a scowl. The fuck did he do to her?

After some time, he ended up leaving the library as well and decided to just wonder the school. He wanted some time to think about how best to find these damn Phantom Thieves and take them down. It would be perfect for his career if he ended the reign of these vigilantes.

He would be pulled from his thoughts as he heard a rather annoying familiar voice speak up near him. He turned his gaze and glared darkly as he saw the freckled face and fluffy green haired Deku walk down the hall with his bag hung over his shoulder.

What surprised the blond though was that the same girl who interrupted his investigation was with him. Instead of the cold judging glare and deep condescending scowl he had seen from her before, she now had a warm gentle gaze, her eyes warm and showing an almost shy affection as she held the books she got from the library close to her chest. Her smile was small but warm as she conversed with the blushing teen who conversed back with the same amount of warmth.

It sickened him.

Deeply.

What was worse though, was that the students around the two were giving them small, amused smiles and grins.

What the fuck was happening? Earlier in the year the students were giving Deku the damn third degree and calling him a fucking criminal. Now, they were rooting for him to get the girl? The fuck happened!?

He moved on quickly. Wanting to be rid of this sickening sight before him. He would soon find out, that it would not be the last he would see of Deku and his gang of extras before the month was up.

A few days after that the blond boy walked out of the dooms to head to class when he paused and stared in slight surprise seeing two people he had never seen on campus standing before the 1-A dorms.

One was a tall male with dark blue hair that was parted to the side, so it covered his left eye. He wore a white dress shirt and dark pants that had some keys dangling off the side of his belt. The outfit made the blond think the extra was from another school all together. He was gazing at the dorms with a critical eye as he held his hands out to form a square as if he were framing the building.

Next to him however was a small surprise to the hero in training as he recognized the girl from his investigation a few days ago. She was a rather short girl with curly light auburn hair and warm and amused brown eyes. She wore a rather thick pink turtleneck cardigan that she wore for the sudden cool weather that had sprung up recently. She wore a black skirt and long white leggings that were decorated with flowers.

She was the daughter to that businessman who was overworking his employees. The hell was she doing here? He narrowed his eyes, but he soon gritted his teach as he watched Rich Girl walk out and approach the two teens with a smile.

"Kitagawa-san." She greeted with a polite bow. "Thank you for showing up so quickly." She said before standing up and bowing to the other girl with her smile growing warmer. "Its good to see you again Okumura-san" she greeted.

The girl only giggled and bowed down to the vice president of class 1-A. "No need to be so formal Momo. We've known each other for years." She teased making the hero in training blush lightly and smile at her.

"Old habits die hard I'm afraid." Momo replied with some embarrassment. She gazed at the boy and tilted her head. "What is he doing?" she asked.

The other girl lifted her hand over her mouth and laughed softly. "Don't worry. I assure you that Yusuke-kun is an incredibly talented artist." she assured her old friend. "I wouldn't have let him come if I didn't trust him." she assured.

"That's some strong praise." Momo said with surprise. Bakugou wouldn't admit it, but he was also rather surprised over the girls faith in the blue haired teen.

"This is a rather decorative building." The blue teen spoke up suddenly, causing them all to turn to him in surprise. "The colors all blend to form a shadow of oppression but also of hope for a better tomorrow." The blue haired teen spoke eloquently before lowering his arms down to the side and turned to the two girls. "Truly a remarkable home for the future heroes of society."

"Thank you!" Momo beamed at him with surprise, while Bakugou scoffed.

"The fact that's in the shape of a giant H also helps." The other girl pointed out with a small head tilt.

"Do you think you can do it?" Momo asked the boy who closed his eyes and lifted his hand up to grip his chin in thought. The girl also watched with curiosity, wondering what her friend would say.

After a few seconds, the teen nodded once and opened his gray eyes. "I do."

"Wonderful!" Momo cheered. "This would mean the world to the class. Thank you so much!" she gushed bowing to the blue haired male making the exploding expert groan in annoyance.

"Oh, who is this?" The other girl had asked, finally taking notice of the blond boy.

The blue haired teen turned to Bakugou and blink in surprise for a few moments before asking something that would set the hero in training off.

"Ryuji?" he asked sounding confused.

"THE FUCK YOU CALL ME?!" the blond exploded out in rage as explosions went off in his hands at the name that sounded oddly familiar to him.

"Bakugou!" Momo shouted out with a glare of her own. Her hands on her hips and a disappointed frown on her face. "Don't start anything! Kitagawa-san has agreed to paint the 1-A dorms for us!" she warned.

The teen glared darkly at the rich bitch before scoffing and turning around to get to the gym to train.

"That's Bakugou?" was the last thing he heard from the other rich girl, before he couldn't care to listen anymore.

He enjoyed his workout regimen immensely. Feeling the burn of his muscles was always a feeling he enjoyed. It reminded him he was working. Reminded him he was pushing his limits. Made him feel like he was getting better.

He didn't care about the few who gazed at his workout like he was crazy. He loved the burn. He loved a challenge. It reminded him why he continued to fight and claw his way to the top. If he couldn't push through this obstacle, what was stopping him from beating everyone? Nothing. That's why he kept pushing!

"Wow, your really tough."

The blond paused at that comment before slowly lowering the dumbbell and looked over to see who had addressed him. It was a rather slim girl with long red hair that was tied nicely with a little red bow. She had warm red eyes that sparkled with an innocent light. She was rather thin but looked fit in the general studies female uniform. A small bright red exercise bag was held over her shoulder.

Bakugou had to admit, she was rather cute. He gave her a smirk and shrugged. "I know." He replied making her giggle slightly.

"Tough guy huh?" she teased lightly shaking her head at him. "Better be careful. Can't have you future heroes too overworked now. Who else will save us when the bad guy comes?" she asked placing her hand over her head and leaning back dramatically before breaking off into a giggle.

Bakugou smirked and shook his head. "Heh, don't worry about that." He assured her, "No villain is going to beat me." He boasted closing his eyes and folding his arms with a confident smirk. "Heroes don't loose to any villains, and I wont ever loose!"

"What about that sludge villain?"

Bakugou's eyes snapped open as he stared at the innocent look on the girl's face. "What?" he asked, a bit caught off guard.

"Well, you didn't beat that sludge villain, right?" she asked with a cute tilt of the head.

Bakugou narrowed his eyes as he shrunk back slightly as if her words were a physical blow. "I had that under control!" He boasted with a smirk. "That villain would have been toast, but All Might stole my damn thunder!" he grumbled.

"Oh." She said with wide eyes making the blond smirk. "What about the USJ?" she asked making him frown and stare at her with a glare. "I don't remember any students taking down the giant villain that was there or that hand guy that was on the news." She said with a finger to her chin in thought.

Bakugou narrowed his eyes at her and took a small calming breath, "We got separated by some fucker with a teleporting quirk. I tried to rush back to beat the fuckers, but All Might showed up again before I could do anything." He said with a nod.

"Oh, I see. Guess it was out of your control then." She said with a small nod. "What about that hero killer guy though?"

Bakugou could feel his eye start to twitch, "That shit heel Endeavor was the one who took him down. I helped though." He grumbled out.

"Ah." She nodded before closing her eyes to think before opening them again, and its then Bakugou could see the hidden emotion in her eyes that he had missed before. Contempt.

"What about you being kidnapped by the league?" she asked.

"THE FUCKS YOUR PROBLEM BITCH?!" Bakugou exploded out with a glare and a scowl. His palms popping with explosions as he quickly stood up standing well over the girl.

She gazed up at him, her once warm eyes now growing cold and harsh. "You don't have to be so rude about it." She muttered with a scowl.

"The fuck is with these questions?!" he demanded.

"To show you just how much of a hypocrite you are." She said coldly making him freeze in raging furry.

"The fuck you say to me?" he hissed out at her with building rage.

The girl glared back, not showing any fear as she placed her hands on her hips. Her red eyes blazing with a fire that reminded him of Dekus. The eyes of a rebel.

"You keep saying you're a hero, but you haven't done anything really heroic have you?" she asked him in a cold tone.

"The fuck do you mean?!" He demanded. He fought villains! He is at the top of his class and his fucking year. What was this bitch getting at?!

"I thought your viewpoint on heroes was they never lost. So how come," She raised her hand and pointed right at the boy with narrowed eyes and a small smirk that reminded him to much of Deku's "You have never won against a villain?" she asked.

Bakugou paused as everything around him suddenly slowed to a crawl.

He won against villains, right? He had to! This bitch had to be wrong! He was the strongest in the class, he must have beaten villains at some point! Yet as he continued to look back at his memories, he couldn't find any that stood out.

Sure, he beat those lesser villains that hand job brought with him to the USJ, but they were small fry. He never fought the leader. Never fought the monster they had with them. Never won against the hero killer. Couldn't win against the villains at the camp. Couldn't hope to fight that All for One guy.

He slowly looked down at his shaking hands with wide eyes. He looked up slolwy seeing the athe smug girl before him. He felt an overwhelming emotion start to bubble within him.

Pure uncontrollable rage.

He growled like a wild animal and slowly approached the girl. She took step back with growing wide eyes. She slowly backed away from the furious hero whose palms were popping from explosions ready to detonate on this little bitch's pretty face.

The girl's back hit the wall before looking around in a slight panic. She looking back up at the angered hero in training and gave him a defiant but fearful glare. "G-Get back!" she ordered holding her bag in front of her like a shield.

He ignored her and continued his march. He would show this bitch her place. He would show her that her place was on the fucking ground where she belonged. He pulled his fist back feeling the sweat start to gather in his palm and with a malicious smile that caused the girls eyes to widen in horror released a loud yell, shouting out one word.

"DIE!"

"Sumire!" a voice shouted out, before a loud explosion completely destroyed the wall before him.

The teen sniffed before turning crimson red eyes to the side to see the green haired Deku on the floor. The back of his black blazer smoking from the small hit he took to protect the girl. He was laying on top of the girl when he had quickly rushed to push her out of the way of the blast.

"Fucking Deku." He grumbled darkly.

"You okay?" the teen had asked the girl softly as he gently got off her, his cheeks bright red. Bakugou rolled his eyes as he saw the tears falling from the girl's eyes as she clutched onto the boy like a lifeline.

Sickening.

"WHAT THE HELL KAACHAN!?"

Bakugou blinked as he looked down and saw the same green haired teen had sat up to sit in front of the girl who had clung onto him and hid her face into the back of his neck. The teen glared up at the blond with such anger, the blond teen was momentarily stunned. "Why did you try to throw an explosion at her!?" he demanded with a scowl so fierce it made the spiky haired teen frown.

Bakugou glared down at the boy and scoffed. "She was talking shit." He said simply. He turned to glared over at the girl who now hid behind the teens back making him scoff at the weak girl.

"That's no excuse to use your quirk on her. You could have killed her!" he shouted back slowly standing up with his fists balled the girl following him and looking at him in concern and at the blond with fear and anger.

Oh how this brought back memories. If the blond wasn't so fucking furious he would have maybe felt a little nostalgic. The quirkless Deku defending some worthless extra from him. To bad he was to angry to care about the past.

The blond scoffed with a glare. "Yeah. And?" he asked with a scowl making both teens freeze in shock. "If she was so week to not doge a fucking explosion, then she deserved to die." He explained with a casual shrug.

"How could you say that?!" Deku asked with an angered and sad look. "You want to be a hero!" he yelled out.

"And I will be! The best fucking hero the world has ever seen. One who never looses and kills all the villains that dares to try and fight me!" he laughed with arrogance.

"That's not what a hero is Kaachan!" Deku said strongly making the blond pause and turn to him slowly with a glare.

"Oh? Then what the fuck is a hero then, Deku?" he demanded wanting to hear what the fucking fanboy has to say.

"A hero's job is not to win." He said making the blond stare at the nerd like he was an idiot. He was, but this was a new level of idiocy. Even the bitch was giving the teen a curious look. The teen blushed but kept going.

"A hero is one that dose the right thing. Even…even when it hurts them." He said looking down with a frown. He shook his head and looked up with a determined expression,"A hero is someone that will always show up to help someone in need. A hero is someone who people can trust and look up to. A hero, is someone who protects and saves." He said softly but with a level of confidence that Bakugou had never heard from before. Even the girl was giving him a wide eyed look of surprise and awe as her smile was warm and filled with affection.

"A hero is not always about wining the fight or beating up the villain. Sometimes, its about getting someone's cat down from a tree, helping someone cross the street, or talking down someone from off a roof." He finished with his eyes narrowed at the blond before him.

Bakugou flinched at the last comment but kept his scowl and glare intact. "That right? Then how about All Might huh? He never fucking lost!"

"He did Kaachan." Deku said with a soft sad sigh making the teen freeze. "He did. He has lost. A few times in fact. He lost the first time to that All for One guy,. He lost to a few villains in his early days here at U.A. He failed to save a few lives that wanted to...end it." Deku took a deep breath and shook his head. "He's not invincible, and he cant do everything. He's only human Kaachan." He stressed causing the girl to tighten her hold around him and lean her head on his back in a silent hug.

"BULLSHIT!" Bakugou shouted out making the two tense and for Deku to stand in front of the red-haired girl protectively. "All Might never looses you fucking idiot! He's the strongest hero! The best of the best! No one could ever touch him!"

"What about his fight with All for One?" The girl asked as she had gently peeked her head over the nerds shoulder to look at him.

"HE LOST HIS POWER BECAUSE OF ME!" he shouted out.

Everyone froze. All sound had stopped. No one moved for a good while. Both Deku and the bitch stared at him with wide eyed shock, not believing what he had just said.

"Kaa-"

"Get out." Bakugou whispered his hair shadowing his eyes.

"But Kaachan-"

"I SAID GET OUT YOU DAMN NERD!" He shouted out throwing explosions at the two as they rushed out of the room quickly with smoke trailing off their uniforms.

Bakugou breathed heavily as he lowered his shaking arms and felt himself grimace in self hate and anger. Those fuckers had no idea what they were talking about! He was going to be the best! He was going to be the fucking best hero in the world. To hell with All Might! To hell with Deku and his fucking extra's! He was going to be the best hero in the world!

So…why didn't he believe it?

The next day of school was starting and Bakugou was already exhausted. He wanted so bad to stay in his bed and just sleep away the pounding headache he had been dealing with for the last few days. He couldn't though. Their homeroom teacher was fond of pop quizzes and random graded assignments and assessments that could get one expelled if one didn't perform to his standard.

Harsh, but effective.

He let out an irritated sigh as he walked into the classroom. He saw that he was one of the last to arrive. Like he cared.

"Hey Bakubro!" the red headed teen that he considered the closest thing to a friend greeted with a raised hand and a wide fanged smile. "Was starting to worry you weren't going to make it."

"Fuck off shitty hair." Was the blond's cold response as he approached his desk.

"Ah, I miss those insults in the morning." The tape despising quirk user Sero said with a fake smile. "It isn't truly a new day till one gets insulted by Bakugou."

"Fuck off tape dispenser." Bakugou replied back with a roll of his eyes.

"Ah, bless." The teen mocked with a smirk.

"What's got you in bad mood?" A punk girl asked. The long extensions coming from her ears moved to point at him while the other one was plugged into her phone's audio port.

"Yeah, your extra grumpy today." A pink skinned girl with fluffy pink hair with two yellow horns coming from the top of her head commented.

Bakugou grumbled and sat down at his desk and leaned back with a sigh. He was tired and just not in a good mood. Granted this whole fucking year hasn't been the best for him. He still had no leads on those fucking Phantom Thieves, and he had recently failed his provisional license exam a few days ago. So yeah, he wasn't in the best of moods. Add in what that fucking bitch and Deku were talking about yesterday, didn't help his mood either.

He sighed and opened his desk without looking and reaching in to grab his small stash of calming gum that he kept there overnight in case he needed it. Only to feel his hand move over something else.

He blinked in confusion as he felt a flat object in his desk that felt like cardboard of some kind. He pulled it out with a frown, and felt ice enter his veins and his eyes to widen in shock as he saw a familiar red card. A card that he hadn't seen since the start of the school year.

He held it out to look at it staring with shock at the enlarged top hat sitting on top of a mask with white flames coming out of one of the openings for the eyes. And with bold cut out letters was a message.

TAKE YOUR HEART

He heard someone gasp next to him, but he ignored it. He quickly turned the card over and scowled with narrowed eyes as he read over the note that was left for him.

Sir Katsuki Bakugou, the false hero of pride. We have seen the actions of your own prejudice and narrow mindedness. The actions of a bully who condemned many for what they held no control over, just to feel superior. We have decided to steel your twisted desires and make you confess to the sins of your past and present with your own vile mouth.

From, The Phantom Thieves of Hearts

Bakugou stared at the calling card for a long while in shock. These Phantom Thieves were targeting him? What the fuck did he do?!

"Oh my god!" He heard Racoon Eyes shout out as she snapped the card from the boys hold and held it out with wide eyes. "This is a calling card!" she said with an excited tone.

Everyone turned to the girl with surprise before all their eyes grew wide at seeing the now familiar signature of the Phantom Thieves.

"The hell?" A fellow blond-haired student said with wide eyes. He took the card from the girl and looked it over. "Holy shit it is!" he shouted out in surprise.

"Woah. I always wanted to see one up close." The pink cheeked girl said gazing at the card in wonder.

"Same! This is so cool!" A girl that was invisible spoke up.

"How did it get in here?" Momo asked with a concerned frown. "I don't remember seeing anyone come in."

"They must have dropped it off before anyone got here." Shoto replied with a shrug.

"But aren't the classrooms locked?" The bird faced member of the class asked with a concerned frown of his own, his eyes narrowed slightly.

No one even noticed that the window to the classroom was open, or that a black figure was seen quickly rushing around the corner of the building trying its best not to fall off.

All excitement and conversation came to halt however, as someone decided to ask the serious question that should have been asked first.

"What did you do? Ribbit." The blunt tone of the resident frog girl caused everyone to blink in surprise.

Everyone looked over at their resident green frog hero. She gave them all a blank look back. But her eyes were focused on the dumbfounded explosion quirk user.

"What?" Bakugou asked in surprise.

"What did you do? Ribbit." She asked again bluntly her large eyes narrowed slightly.

"Yeah actually. Why did they send you one?" The blond haired electric teen asked with narrowed eyes. His grip on the card in his hand growing tighter.

"It is suspicious." Momo commented with a frown. "Knowing what we know about the people who get these calling cards." Momo folded her arms and her eyes narrowed onto the exploding blond. "Something you want to tell us?" she asked in an accusing tone.

"WOAH!" The red haired teen shouted out coming out of his chair and standing before his friend. "Hold on! We don't even know if the thing is real! Don't need to attack the guy for it!" he said with a glare, wanting to protect his friend.

"It is real." The even tone of Todoroki spoke up causing everyone to turn to him as he gazed at the card the electric quirk user was showing him. "Its the same one my father got before...before he confessed." He revealed.

Everyone took that information in and all at once turned their gaze back to the red and black card held in the hands of the electric quirk user. It made him very uncomfortable.

"What did you do? Ribbit" Tsuyu asked again with more force then last time as she stared at her blond spiky haired classmate.

Bakugou slowly got up and took the card from the relieved teen. He glared at it before scoffing. "It's none of your damn business." He commented.

"It is when it's one of us that is being targeted by a group of renegade vigilantes!" the class president scolded while chopping the air viciously.

"What did you even do to get on these guys bad side?" The punk girl asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Fucking nothing!" He growled out.

"It mentioned something about the past and future. What did you do before coming to U.A?" A large teen asked with his lower face covered by a mask and his many arms all folded over his rather broad chest.

"None of your fucking business!" the explosive blond yelled out with force. He glared down at the calling card and growled. "I don't care who these fuckers are, but if they mess with me," An explosion erupted from his palm burning the calling card to ash. "I'll fucking kill them!" He vowed with such anger and rage that it slightly scared his classmates.

The day went on like normal. Bakugou continued to outperform everyone in the class during hero training. He may have used a bit of extra force then necessary, but he didn't care. He needed to blow off some steam. Those fucking Phantom Thieves think they can intimidate him, huh?

Fuck That!

He'll prove he's better by killing them and announcing to the world who the fucks were. It would be the first major victory for the future, King Explosion Murder!

The night he went to bed with a scowl his door unlocked, and his windows open. He didn't tell a teacher. Why should he? He wanted to deal with this mess himself. They were after him, so let them come.

He closed his eyes with an almost murderous smile. Whenever they decided to strike, he will be there to beat them into the dirt.

Bring it on!

The next day of school had arrived. Everyone had gotten up and were getting ready for the new day. All except for one.

"Anyone seen Bakubro?" Kirishima asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Haven't seen him yet." Sero said tapping on his phone not looking up.

"Wired. He's usually up by now." The red-haired teen said with a frown.

"You don't think anything happened?" Mina asked with a worried frown.

"Nah, we would have heard about it!" Sero said with an easygoing smile.

"I guess." The girl said though she didn't sound fully convinced.

Soon everyone else was starting to gather into the ground floor of the dorms and started to eat breakfast and just relax before class.

That was before their homeroom teacher barged in with a tired glare. Everyone froze as they stared at the man. He had fresh bags under his eyes and he looked, angered, frustrated and slightly concerned.

"Sensei?" Tsuyu croaked out softly with a worried expression.

"Everyone meetup in the auditorium in twenty minutes." The man announced with force, making everyone stiffen.

"Is this about a villain attack?" A blond-haired student with a tail asked in a worried tone.

"Did a teacher get hurt?" Ochaco asked with concern.

"No." the teacher sighed tiredly and shook his head. "Just, be there." He went to turn around and walk out of the door, but the class president stopped him.

"But sir! We can't find Bakugou at this time!" Iida said chopping the air with concern.

"No need to worry about that." Aizawa reassured with a dull tone as he walked out of the room causing everyone to become confused over what he meant.

Not wanting to be on his bad side, they rushed to finish eating breakfast before running down to the auditorium to see it packed with all the hero course students and teachers. They picked their seats and started talking with their friends from the other classes about what this was about.

No one could explain the odd feeling of dread that hung in the air.

They all quieted down when they saw their principle walk out onto the stage. The small bear/mouse/thing hopped onto the tall stool that was provided for him and cleared his throat.

"Good Morning, heroics division students." He greeted with a smile.

"Good Morning Principle Nezu!" the students responded in kind, making the small chimera smile softly.

He cleared his throat once more and gazed at all the students before him. "I have called this emergency assembly today to talk about some allegations that have come forth." He revealed causing a few murmurs to break out.

He waited for them to stop before continuing. "As you all should know, the goal of the heroes' program is to teach and train all of you to become the next protectors of society." He took a small sip of his tea and let out a pleasant sigh.

"With that, we have a rather strong screening process. We make sure to give out thorough background checks to any student who enters this academia." He explained further and many were beginning to wonder what the point of this was.

The small principle let out a small sigh of disappointment. "However, sometimes things fall though the cracks. Something that has happened far more often then it should this year." He said sadly, causing a few of the staff members to lower their heads in shame. Everyone stared at the small figure on the stage and their teachers around them in confusion.

What was going on?

"One of you has not been fully truthful. A history that someone had failed to turn in before the start of the school year." He said his tone shifting to one that frightened the students greatly. "One of you has a history of bullying those who couldn't fend for themselves. Threatening both student, staff and those within the different divisions of this school." The small principle took another sip of his tea before continuing. "Thus, I am allowing that student to come up here today and do the right thing, and confess." He said with a nod to the side.

Everyone looked at each other with wide eyed shock. Bullying? Threatening student and staff? What the hell was going on!? Some of the students have no idea who the principle was talking about.

Yet to the students of 1-A, there was one individual that did come to mind.

The class all shared a worried look, hoping they could be wrong. Yet, as they heard movement on the stage they turned and looked up, and felt like they were punched in the gut and splashed with ice water.

Katsuki Bakugo walked out from the side of the stage. His arms were to his side, as he was escorted by both Midnight and Present Mic. That wasn't what was so shocking to the class who had spent most of the year getting to know him though.

The powerful, arrogant ace of the class. The one student who always glared at anything that breathed, but also scowled at it like a rabid animal. The one student who continued to grow stronger and stronger through the school year.

That's the Bakugou they know.

This…this wasn't the teen they remembered.

The teen was hunched over. His hair was an absolute mess, not even trying to be spiky anymore. He was shaking as he walked up to the podium. His hands were clenched to his side and he looked like he would break down at any moment.

Only a few had seen the boy like this before. Right after All Might had been forced to retire. Kirashima had witnessed his friend break down. He thought it couldn't get any worse than that.

How wrong he was.

"Mr. Bakugou?" The principal asked making the teen flinch but not look up. "Are you ready?" he asked the teen.

He nodded slowly. The principle nodded and leaped down from his stool where someone quickly walked up and moved it off the stage.

Bakugou slowly walked behind the podium and took a shaky breath before looking up and everyone gasped at what they saw.

The once confident red eyes that showed arrogance and pride was now replaced by the sorrowful and shame filled eyes of a teen who had done something wrong. His eyes were haunted, haunted by things they could never understand.

"H-Hello." He greeted with a stutter further surprising the students who knew him. Bakugou doesn't stutter. "My name is Katsuki Bakugo…"

He took a deep shuddering breath and narrowed his eyes slightly before staring out at the masses of students before him. "My name is Katsuki Bakugo. A bully, a tormentor, and abuser." He said with force making everyone in the auditorium gasp in shock.

"I…I bullied everyone who didn't have a strong quirk, just to make myself feel better. I bullied anyone who would dare talk back to me or challenge me. I harassed and assaulted my old teachers till they became so scared of me that they did what I said. I forged my perfect record in Junior High so I could get into U.A. I assaulted people here. I almost killed a girl for trying to show me how stupid I was being!" he shouted out before slamming his hand on the podium. "God dammit, I wanted to be a hero! I wanted to be the best hero in the world! I wanted to win and fight! But…I didn't want to save anyone. Saving was for the weak. They shouldn't need saving if they were strong!" he chuckled bitterly as he looked up with tears falling from his crimson eyes. "How fucking stupid was I?" he asked bitterly.

Everyone could only stare at the teen in horror and shock. Their classmate; the one they knew since the start of the semester and had grown used to, had just confessed to almost killing someone. To not wanting to save anyone. To forcing those old teachers at his school to make his record look amazing. He even admits that he bulled people he deemed weaker then him, to make himself feel strong.

All of them felt a swelling of anger and hurt. They felt betrayed. Even worse is that they despised what the boy was confirming he was.

A bully.

Many in that room wanted to become heroes to stop bullying. To know that one of their classmates and friends was one, was world breaking for them and made them angry and hurt.

"But that's not the worst." Bakugou spoke up making everyone turn back to the spiky haired boy with glares and wide-eyed horror.

There's something worse?!

Bakugou looked down at his hands and felt them shake. "I…I had a childhood friend growing up. He was a damn hero nerd. Always going on and on about heroes. We…we made a promise to be heroes together." He gritted his teeth and growled to himself. "I…I broke that fucking promise!" he shouted out.

"When I got my quirk, he didn't! It pissed me of so much that it never stopped him. Pissed me off because it scared me. It scared me how much better of a person he was. It also made me angry to think that someone without any kind of power could be a fucking hero!" he sobbed softly and shook his head. "I threw away our fucking friendship over something he couldn't control! All because he extended a hand to help me! My fucking ego couldn't take it! I snapped!" He reviled causing the glares to darken and the gasps to grow.

"But that's not even the worse thing!" He shouted out as he slammed his head onto the podium with force causing everyone to jump. His head snapped up with a glare that shook the room to its core.

It was a look off bitterness, self-anger and regret all rolled into his tear filled red eyes as he shouted out from the depths of his heart. "I'M KATSUKI BAKUGO. THE HERO THAT TOLD MY CHILDHOOD FRIEND TO TAKE A SWAN DIVE OFF THE ROOF!

The room exploded into chaos after that. No one noticing the gentle closing of the auditorium doors.
