It all started way back in the summer of 1989. The losers had done it, and had finally defeated It. After the demonic clown died, The Losers spent the entire remainder of summer celebrating their success. And every time they did, Richie couldn't stop the feelings in his gut every time Eddie was near him. The only way he could describe it was if there were butterflies on steroids in there. It drove him nearly insane.

And by their senior year of high school, young, loud-mouthed Richie Tozier had bitten the bullet and asked the sweet, tightly wound Eddie Kaspbrak out to their senior prom. And to his disbelief, Eddie said yes! He had no idea if he were dreaming, fell victim to the dead lights, or both. Richie didn't even care. He said yes! After six long, torturous years of pinning, it was happening. It was actually happening!

From sixth grade, when Richie wasn't even sure what was happening, to the twelfth grade when it finally dawned on him.

From then on, they were thick as thieves. They dated all throughout college, despite being across the country from one another, and got married a year after graduating, at the age of 23, in the accepting and chaotic environment of Los Angeles, California. They found a studio apartment that fit their lifestyles, and nursed their careers further towards the success they had planned out when they were lively, broke college students.

And as fate had it, both of their careers had taken them to the bustling and bright city of New York. Richie gained fame and success as a comedian, while Eddie managed to find a well known hospital and start his career as a nurse. Who knew someone so terrified of germs and disease would work in such a ridden place. It always made Richie tease, and Eddy roll his eyes as he smiled.

Now, in their early thirties, they felt ready for the next big step in their life that most married couples dealt with. Parenthood.

At first neither wanted that for them. Eddy never wanted to end up like his psychotic mother, putting irrational fears in their innocent little mind and smothering them to the breaking point. Richie was simply terrified of the mere thought. What if he didn't do well? What if he royally fucked the kid up? What if they got bullied, or drew the short straw with genetics?

But by the time they reached 30, after 7 years of marriage, seeing anything baby related made their hearts ache. So like oh so many years ago, they bit the bullet. And this time, they did it together.

They were lucky. The year was 2006, where a medical breakthrough had been announced just before they finally thought of kids. Men were able to conceive children. All the lab would need were blood tests to see, and from there gay couples have had children biologically. Both the science and LGBTQ community were fascinated and ecstatic. And that was a year prior. It was 2007 now.

They had practically killed themselves driving so fast on the way to their doctor's office. Richie had gone first, getting his blood drawn as his leg bounced in anticipation. He held Eddie's hand once it was his turn, his leg bouncing the entire time. He was so ecstatic!

"It's here!" Eddie shouted, running through the house with an envelope in hand. The mail had just arrived, including their results. A single week felt like a damn decade.

"Then open it!" Richie shouted back. He had shot up from his desk, his coffee spilling all over the surface. It missed his precious computer by a mere centimeter, drenching both important and unimportant papers in its path.

He watched as Eddie tore the envelope open with anxious hands, biting the inside of his cheek. Richie walked up the the brunette. "What? What's it say?!" He was so anxious, and so eager. This was huge.

Eddie's previously straight face broke out into a wide grin. He looks up at his husband before crashing their lips together. Richie was taken aback, but accepted it with open arms regardless. "We can have a baby!" He cries, smiling against Richie's chapped lips.

"Which one?" Richie's eyes watered as he smiled. He didn't care who, but he was so excited regardless.

"You," Eddie answers, smiling a watery smile. They could have a baby... ! Richie's eyes widened, before he screamed and lifted Eddie up, spinning them around. He didn't even listen as Eddie scolded to put him down 'you idiot!'

How could he? They can finally start a family. "Just think of the fun we'll have trying," Richie says, smiling widely.

"Perv," Eddie all but scoffed as a response, smiling despite himself. "But I'm your perv," Richie presses, flashing his signature shit eating grin. "Damn right you are."
