Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 5 of No Shelter. Thank you to those who have left reviews for this story. It does mean a lot to me that you guys are enjoying this. I do apologize for writing a sequel story when I have so many other fics to work on, but I have to go where my muse takes me and that is writing a Pirates story and continue to work on the Elder Swann Sister Series which I know is under its third rewrite. I do apologize for that. Hopefully, you all will enjoy this next part of the story. Without further ado Chapter 5 of No Shelter.

Chapter 5

Gibbs, Morgan, Will, and Ragetti were in one long boat while Jack, Bonnie, Cotton, and Pintel were in another boat following behind them.

Will pursed his lips together in concern wondering why things were different than they were before. He had never seen Jack act this way in his life. "What is it that has Jack spooked?"

Gibbs turned his head to look at Will. "Jack has run afoul of none other than Davy Jones himself. He thinks he is only safe on land. If he goes out into open water, he'll be taken."

Will's brow raised in confusion. "Taken."

"Aye."

"Taken."

"Aye."

"By Davy Jones."

Morgan scoffed, letting out a breath and shaking her head.

"Well, I'll tell 'ee. If you believe such things, a beast is doing the bidding of Davy Jones. A fearsome creature from the depths, with giant tentacles that'll suction your face clean off, and drag an entire ship down to the crushing darkness. The Kraken. they say the stench of its breath …" Gibbs shuddered. "Imagine, the last thing you know on God's green earth is the roar of the Kraken and the reeking odor of a thousand rotting corpses. If you believe such things."

Will glanced back at Morgan's father who was busy chewing on his finger, working at a hangnail that was there. "Never thought Jack was the type to be afraid of dying."

Morgan clicked her tongue against her teeth. "Aye, but with Jones, it ain't about the dying - it's about the punishment." She said as she turned her head to look at Will. "To think of the worst fate you can conjure for yourself, stretching on forever ... and that's what awaits you in Davy Jones' locker."

"And the key will spare him that?" Will questioned softly.

"Well…" Morgan looked over at Gibbs for some help knowing that she kind of stepped right into that one.

"Now that's the very question Jack wants to be answered. Bad enough, even, to go visit … her."

"Her."

"Aye," Gibbs said, turning away and nodding his head knowingly.

Morgan shifted, gripping her knees tightly with her dirty hands. She knew exactly that this woman that they were going to see wasn't going to do much to save her father, but perhaps there would be a chance that they would be able to avoid the fate of the Pearl being taken down.

Will blinked a few times in concern. He had no idea of what that meant. "Who's her?"

Morgan pursed her lips together. "Will, trust me you don't want to know who she is."

Bonnie looked over at her husband, her brows pinched in worry. She knew that Jack wasn't having an easy time with the whole thing. "You know you're going to see her…"

Jack looked up at his wife, stopping his chewing on the hangnail he had.

"It will make us all feel rather uncomfortable. Jack, I'm not stupid… I know you had a few moments with her… just like the red-haired whore and the blonde whore back in Tortuga."

Jack swallowed the lump in his throat.

"I know that you couldn't be faithful while I was gone… I never expected you to be… but seeing her… are we willing to put your fate in her hands?"

"Bonnie, we don't have much of a choice…"

Bonnie let out a breath shaking her head lightly. "Don't put us in danger, Jackie." She said looking away from her husband knowing that this probably was the only choice that they had and it was a dangerous path that they were going down that was for sure. She just hoped that everyone would be able to survive this.

This is the end of Chapter 5. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I tried my best to add some extra scenes to make this chapter longer. Giving Bonnie and Jack a bit of a chance to talk of course in this chapter. I felt that they needed it with where they were going. Hopefully, the chapter is good in length. If not I do apologize if it isn't since writing can be a bit hard and well writing chapters alone are a bit temperamental.

Plus I've been working on quite a few new stories which probably doesn't help with my updating schedule of what is to be posted and what not. But I do promise you that this story will be completed as quickly as possible since this is the second book in the series.

Please leave a review and let me know what you think of this story. Reviews do help me keep going when it comes to writing. Hopefully, I'll be able to update this story weekly like I have done in the past, if I don't, I do apologize since it does take time to write each chapter out and make sure that it is good and edited and sometimes that doesn't always work. Until next time.
