TL;DR – There will be no more updates until late December, early January. Health Reasons.
Hey everyone, Evolution Legacy here. THIS IS NOT A CHAPTER, but an A/N I feel obligated to post here so people see it. First things first, worry not, this is not a cancellation notice. That being said, I'm sadly being forced to take a break from writing for the next few weeks.
For those of you who do not remember, I complained in my last two chapter's A/Ns about pain in my lower back/hip. Well, after the anti-inflammatory meds the doctor gave me failed to really do much (other then make me high as a kite), my pain started to get a little worse. Last week, he sent me for physiotherapy where, after examining me, informed me that I have irritated/slipped my disc and that I'm going to need weeks of physiotherapy to recover.
I'm also banned from sitting and most physical activity, which they really didn't need to tell me since the act of sitting at my table and eating is painful enough as it is. In other words, I'm bedridden for 2-3 weeks, longer if I do something stupid and injure myself further.
Due to this unexpected turn of events, I'm unable to write properly since lying on my back and writing on my laptop is too bloody difficult and frustrating. In order to even write this, I had to set boxes on my table to get my laptop high enough so I can type freely without bending over.
Sadly, I can't stand for more then 10-20 minutes before I must lie down again. This makes writing a chapter that normally takes me 5-7 hours currently impossible. I was also supposed to go back to work this month, and I had the joy of calling my boss and telling them that I couldn't return for two to three weeks. Thankfully, she was quite understanding when I mentioned that I had a damaged disc and told me to take my time in getting better.
In other words, I'm going to have to go on a brief hiatus for a few weeks until I can recover to the point I can once again sit down for an extended period of time.
I'm terribly sorry for this, but this was not something I expected. This is also extremely frustrating for me since I'm tired of taking hiatus from this story, but unlike the last two/three times I've done it, this one is more or less something I can't help.
I'd also like to take a quick moment to thank those reviewed last chapter and left a "get well" notice for me. Thank you, and yes, I will be taking it easy. When I informed my family of the physiotherapist's diagnosis, they came to visit and helped me move some things around, so I wouldn't have to do much.
They told me 1-2 weeks at first, but that was almost a week ago and since then they've told me my recovery might take an additional 2 weeks on top of that because they want me to take it slow and not risk any more damage to my disc. At this time, I don't need surgery and I hope to keep it that way.
Due to this, the next update to WWC will likely be near the end of December, mid December if I recover faster and early January if it takes even longer. When I'm closer to recovery and can get an actual deadline for you guys, I'll post on my profile page here on this site a new update date. When I have recovered, this "chapter" will be deleted and an actual chapter will take its place.
Sorry again, but I hope to see you all back next month. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go lie down.
