It was with the aid of the young Merlin that the Roman Brothers were able to unite the Britons and the native mage communities.

men and women, rogue, warrior and mage…

Together they stemmed the tides of darkness…

Merlin brought forth the Red Dragon from the eternal fire.

And with the Sacred Blade in hand, did they defeat the tyrant king…

His dragon fell and so too did his Tower…

In the end…

The brothers were chosen as kings of Britain…

URYEN was given kingship of the Wild North to govern and took the symbol of the Unicorn…

UTHER was to rule the Southern Territories…

He chose the symbol and name of Pendragon…

And AMBROSIUS, the eldest, became High King…

He chose to honour the boy Merlin and made for his royal emblem the bird of the boy's namesake…

For a time, they ruled well…

For a time, there was peace…

But peace is not eternal…

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I was not a huge fan of how the movie opened with some strange title crawl like Star Wars. I imagined the one I wrote to be recited aloud, a backdrop of a stylistic animation much like in Ryse: Son of Rome with the story of Damocles, or the Tale of the Three Brothers from Harry Potter. Something more dynamic than words against a black screen.
