Meliodas was still shocked to see the Seven Deadly Sins had arrived.
"You're here," he said, not particularly enthusiastic.
Hiccup then jumped down and approached him. "No need to get too excited; I mean, it's not like we didn't come all this way to save your brother."
"This fight has nothing to do with you guys, all right! Get out of here now!"
"Let me ask you something?" Hiccup asked. "You didn't come all this way after finally separating from me and regaining your emotions from Purgatorial only to come back and commit suicide with the Princess?"
Meliodas didn't answer.
"Didn't think so; you can finally live your life with her," said Hiccup.
"Friends have each other's backs don't they?" Heather asked. "You can rely on us."
"Some of us may not know you very well, but that doesn't mean we won't lend a hand," said Snotlout.
"If you're hoping for a happy ending, wooden joining forces be the best chance of letting that happen?" Fishlegs suggested.
"Thank you, guys," said Meliodas. "I'm your debt."
The Demon King then floated above them, looking down at them as if they were insects.
"I am death… I am all that you fear… I am a God!" he boomed as the lightning became more intense.
Ragnar looked at Skull, who was resting on his shoulder. "Skull, while the rest of us keep the Demon King busy, you take Meliodas and infiltrate the Demon King's mind to separate him and Zeldris from the inside."
The Demon King then drew his sword, and with a single swing, he sent a powerful slash of magic. Hiccup, Fishlegs, Astrid and Snotlout jumped in and quickly shattered it. However, the Demon King then flew right past them, heading straight towards the others and lunched another magical slash attack at them.
Ragnar teleported, and Snotlout used his Snatch skill to pull everyone towards him, pulling them to safety.
"Looks like you really don't want anyone getting into your mind, do you, big guy?" Snotlout smirked.
The Demon King looked at them furiously, and Fishlegs appeared before them.
"Pollen Garden!" he yelled, and his spear changed forms encasing them in a shield. The Demon King then approached and began striking the shield with his blade. "I'll hold him here. Go, get inside his mind!"
"You got it," said Skull as he landed on Meliodas' shoulder. "Meliodas, we have to go?"
"No! He's breaking through!" Meliodas noted in quickly jumped in.
He was right at the Demon King and managed to break through the barrier, but Meliodas was able to block his strike with his blade.
"That's no surprise," said Fishlegs. "We won't get the time we need that easily."
"He's too powerful for us to fight and protect Meliodas and Skull at the same time," said Ragnar.
The Demon King was about to strike when suddenly he was hit in the face by a powerful fist. Everyone stared in shock as arriving on the scene fully powered was Eret, and then quickly blocked the sword of the Demon King.
"Oh, heroes who have seven wounds carved into their hearts. Neither fear nor despair exists for thee. What thou hast has courage, pride and camaraderie. Fate what havoc upon us, and for a time we gave up on life, but henceforth let us indeed be grateful to our destinies for allowing us to make a valiant last stand for a beloved friend."
"Eret is back?" said Hiccup shocked.
"What is this? Where did he come from?" said Demon King.
Mael was floating above the battlefield. "I leave the remainder of this to you, Eret, and the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins as well. The fate of the world rests upon your shoulders."
"Wait!" Hiccup yelled, looking rather panic-stricken. "You know what will happen if you use the power of Sunshine with that body again? What are you doing?"
Eret looked back at him. "Listen, Sir Hiccup…"
The Demon King used this opportunity to punch him in the face and was about to strike him but quickly recovered, striking him with a sword hand.
"…compared to what the seven of us are about to do on this stain of the world, my tribulation means nothing!" said Eret.
The Demon King moved in to attack him and struck him with a powerful barrage of sword strikes.
"Divine Sword Eret!" Eret yelled, striking the Demon King with his sword hand, pushing him back. "The killing of a god, I can think of no better battle than one of this magnitude to give meaning and glory for what surely will be the end of my life."
"Wait a minute? The end of your life?" said, Heather. "What are you talking about, Eret?"
"I don't want to accidentally defeat him before you make your move, so hurry and go," said Eret. "Take Meliodas and…"
He then suddenly groaned in pain.
"Accidentally defeat me; someone is feeling cocky," said the Demon King glaring at him and quickly moved in to strike him. "You fool!"
"Shut up!" Snotlout yelled, punching him back.
Fishlegs then transformed his spear into its Increase Form and pelted him with blades. "It's time; get moving, you two! We'll hold him here no matter what!"
"Thank you all," said Meliodas. "I won't fail."
"Save him and stay safe," said Ruby.
Meliodas nodded.
"Invasion!" Skull yelled as he looked directly into the Demon King's eyes.
Moments later, both he and Meliodas found them inside Zeldris' mind.
"I'll be there soon, Zel," said Meliodas. "Just hang on for a little longer."
Meanwhile, everyone was still battling against the Demon King. No one noticed that Gelda had appeared.
"I came out of the faintest sense of his magic," she said. "But what are those monsters?"
She watched as Snotlout struck the Demon King repeatedly with his mace, Fishlegs struck him with his storm of blades, Hiccup and Astrid, both in their Dragonborn Form, with their weapons, and Eret struck him with his fists.
She then saw some of the Demon King's blood land on a rock and bent down to taste it. When she did, she tasted the familiar taste of Zeldris' blood.
"Zel, so that's where you been hiding," she said.
Meanwhile, in Zeldris' mind, both Meliodas and Skull, who was in his human form, wandering through some thick fog. The fog finally faded they found themselves in some sort of mountainous region.
"Whoa," said Meliodas recognising the place. "If the Dragon Hunting Ground where I used to bring Zeldris."
"I can sense a faint presence nearby," said Skull. "Let's go and keep in mind everything you see belongs to Zeldris as the Demon King right now. Neither of us can directly interact with this world; if we were to recklessly rile it up, we'll be forcibly expelled from here as foreign objects."
"You mean the only one here, who can fight the Demon King, directly at least, is Zeldris himself?"
Skull nodded. "Yes, it was the same for you. All we can do is use our voices and transmit our thoughts."
They finally found Zeldris, who was webbed to two large rocks and standing in front of him was Gelda or at least an illusion of her.
"Sorry I took so long to get here, brother," said Meliodas.
"Meliodas, you really are a selfish one, aren't you?" said the fake Gelda. "You abandoned Zel twice already, and this time around, you're really going to save him for your own benefit. After all that happened, Zeldris has finally found his peace. You have no right to interrupt his slumber!"
"Wake up!" Meliodas yelled, ignoring her.
Zeldris opened his eyes and saw Meliodas. "Meliodas? What are you doing in this place?"
"I've come here to save you!"
The fake Gelda glared at him, and Zeldris gave a small laugh.
"You save me? Are you serious?" he said.
Meliodas nodded. "Yes."
Zeldris looked into his eyes and saw that he was serious.
"Don't listen to what he says, Zel!" the fake Gelda yelled. "He watched Hiccup Haddock kill me, remember? That brother of yours is nothing but a lying sinner! After he gets what he wants, he will betray you again! I am the only one who loves you from the bottom of my heart. Look into my eyes; you know it's true."
Zeldris sighed sadly. "Now I know it's true."
"Oh, Zel," the fake Gelda smiled.
"I just hope that I was wrong. I had a feeling that you weren't the real Gelda, but somewhere in my heart, I was still holding onto the hope you might be. That hope is now gone."
The fake Gelda looked at him, confused. "Are you saying that I'm a fake? That I am not here as a soul? I love you more than anyone!"
"That's how I know you're fake," Zeldris smiled. "You push too hard. The real Gelda would never say anything like that to me."
The fake Gelda then vanished into nothingness.
"You fool!" said the Demon King's voice. "You'll meet the same fate as your brother, I see."
Zeldris then disappeared right in front of Meliodas and Skull.
"Zel!" Meliodas cried, rushing towards him, but he'd already vanished. "Where are you? Zel!"
"Meliodas, over here!" Zeldris yelled.
Meliodas looked up and saw Zeldris hanging from a tree still webbed up. "Zeldris!"
"Oh no," said Skull as they could now see multiple Zeldris' appearing before them all, crying out for their help.
"Right, hold on," said Meliodas as he drew his sword.
"What do you plan on doing?" Skull asked.
"I'm going to cut them out at the threads!" he said and dashed to the nearest Zeldris.
"Wait, hold on!" Skull yelled.
Meliodas was about to cut that Zeldris free, but Skull jumped in front of him to block the attack. However, he accidentally knocked into the Zeldris, freeing him.
"Meliodas, listen carefully," said Skull as he slowly began to fade away. "We absolutely cannot disturb the things that escape in this Mindscape. If we do, we'll be forcibly extricated as foreign objects. Even if you disrupt a single thread."
The Zeldris that have been free then faded away, revealing that it was fake.
Meliodas reached out to Skull. "Skull… I'm sorry."
"Look, you only have one chance to free Zeldirs under the circumstance; think about some way to find out which one of them is real," said Skull, and he disappeared.
Skull awoke within the real world; he quickly took in his surroundings and saw that he was in the Perfect Cube, directed by Ragnar. Inside with him was obviously Meliodas, but as well as Ruby, Heather and Ragnar himself.
"Skull, you're back," said Heather.
"But what about Meliodas and Zeldris?" Ruby asked as she clutched Meliodas' unconscious body.
"Meliodas is still inside there, but the situation doesn't look good," he admitted.
The situation outside wasn't looking me better as everyone was fighting with being worn down.
"Just accept that this vessel is mine; I have no plans to hand it over to the likes of you," said the Demon King.
Gelda then suddenly appeared out of nowhere, bit down on the Demon King's neck and drank some of his blood.
"Gelda?" said Ruby surprised.
"It appears that the vixen that seduced the mind of my son has come quite a long way only to be killed," said the Demon King grabbing her.
"No, don't do it!" Ruby pleaded.
The Demon King paid her no mind and then ripped her in two, to everyone's shock and horror.
"That's one less meddlesome nuisance in the world," said the Demon King.
"You bastard! How dare you do that!" Snotlout roared furiously. "No one deserves—"
"You have my gratitude Seven Deadly Sins," said Gelda's voice. "Thanks to all of you, I was able to take the Demon King's back easily."
"What the heck?" Heather gasped. "How is she still alive?"
"Vampires have very powerful regenerative skills, even more than Demons," said Hiccup. "Of course, I imagine that power was amplified when she took Zeldris' blood."
"As astute as ever, Hiccup Haddock," said Gelda as she emerged from the lake, regenerating.
"While that is amusing to know, you being here adds no aid to this battle, stronger or otherwise," said the Demon King.
"You really are an impatient old geezer, aren't you?" said Gelda as her eyes glowed bright red. "That wasn't a mere attack; I needed to ingest your blood. Now the binding is complete, I'm going to delve into Zel and your Mindscape too."
Meliodas had a difficult time judging which was the real Zeldris, a fact which wasn't helping when all of them cried out to him.
"Dammit, how am I supposed to tell them apart?" he said.
"Forget about me; get out while you can!"
"Kill the Demon King along with me!"
"If I have to live like this while he uses my stolen body, then I would rather be dead."
"What are you talking about?" said Meliodas. "Gelda is still waiting for you; don't you dare give up."
"Sounds like everything that the illusions are saying our direct reflections of my consciousness. Which means I can't even tell them apart myself."
"Listen, I have a favour to ask of you; go and tell Gelda something for me."
"No!" said Meliodas defiantly. "You tell her yourself!"
"Yes, I want to hear it straight from your mouth," said Gelda's voice.
Everyone immediately looked up and saw Gelda had appeared, though it was difficult to tell whether she was the real one or just another illusion.
"That is why I'm going to find you," she said as she flew down towards them. "I will find Zel, no matter what. Just leave everything to me."
"Gelda?" Meliodas stared. "How did you get in here?"
"It's really her," said Zeldris.
Immediately all of the Zeldris' began calling out to her.
"There… that intake long," she said and flew towards one of the Zeldris'.
"Wait, really?" Meliodas blinked.
Gelda placed her finger on the real Zeldris' nose. "It's you am I right? The real one?"
"What about you?" Zeldris asked. "Are you real? Can you prove it?"
Gelda dug her sharp nail into his nose and gave him a displeasing look. "You're the worst. Are you saying that you can't even tell the real me apart from some forgery?"
"No, wait! That's not what I meant!" said Zeldris quickly. "I just couldn't believe you're really here and actually came for me, that's all. There's no mistake; you're the real Gelda, all right."
Gelda laughed. "Very well then."
"That's amazing, Gelda; how can you tell which was the real one?" Meliodas asked.
"You really have to ask? If it were Ruby, you be able to tell the real one apart, right?"
"Oh yeah, that's a good point," Meliodas conceded.
"Hold still moment; I'll have you out of this in no time," said Gelda as she was about to cut the threads.
Suddenly all the fake Zeldris' turned black, and their eyes glowed red.
"I can't let you do that!" they said. "Zeldris is my new vessel, and I won't give him up! You must be eliminated!"
All of them then began breaking the threads that bound them and headed straight towards Gelda. She tried to avoid them, but there were just too many of them, ensuring that she was completely surrounded.
"Gelda look out!" Zeldris cried.
Meliodas suddenly jumped into the path of the Zeldris' taking the blows, but then so doing so interfered.
"Meliodas! Why did you do that?" Gelda asked, stunned.
"Zeldris definitely needs you, so look after him!" he said. "The rest of this is up to you!"
Gelda nodded.
Meliodas then looked at Zeldris. "Zeldris, now it's your turn to defeat our old man! All right?"
"Meliodas…" said Zeldris.
Meliodas then swung his sword at all the fake Zeldris' and instantly destroyed every single one of them. He then spun around and cut the threads that bound Zeldris, freeing him.
"Zeldris!" said Gelda catching him in her arms and gently lowered into the ground.
Zeldris turned to Meliodas. "You really did it? You actually came for me this time?"
"Then let me act like a big brother, just this one time, okay?" he said as he began to disappear. "I may not be that great at it, but you're the only little brother I've got."
"Meliodas, thank you for that," said Gelda.
Zeldris just remained silent.
Meliodas smiled. "I'll see you on the other side."
He then vanished into thin air as he was cast out of the Mindscape, and Zeldris tried to reach out to him.
"All right, I'll do it," said Zeldris clenching his fists.
The Demon King then suddenly appeared before him, in his true form and laughed. "Your body already belongs to me. You will never see your older brother again."
Zeldris turned to face his father. "Then I'll have to defeat you."
Back in the real world, Hiccup and the others were still battling against the Demon King, but he was putting up quite a fight. Even with five of them fighting in unison, they just couldn't seem to overpower him.
They all attack in unison, but he quickly retaliated by blasting them with powerful dark magic, severely injuring them.
Ragnar, meanwhile, was keeping everyone else within the Perfect Cube.
"Careful!" Heather cried.
Ruby turned to Ragnar. "Ragnar, I need you to take down this barrier."
"What?" said Heather turning on her. "We can't do that; the Demon King's curse is still upon you!"
"I can't let the five of them die out there."
"We don't have a choice," said Ragnar, regretfully releasing the Perfect Cube.
"Be well again!" Ruby cried.
Instantly Hiccup and the others felt all their wounds healing in an instant.
Hiccup looked at her as if she was crazy. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"
"Never mind that; focus on the fight for now!" she yelled.
The Demon King then attempted to attack him while he was distracted, but Eret quickly jumped in, pushing him back. Fishlegs then struck him with his spear, and Astrid unleashed some powerful slashing attacks against him. Hiccup then jumped in with some powerful sword strikes, and Snotlout struck him with his mace.
Unfortunately, none of their attacks had any effect upon him. In fact, it looked as if he was getting even more powerful. Additionally, the storm was getting even worse; lightning was now raining down around them almost constantly.
"This is bad," Ragnar observed. "The battle between the Demon King and Meliodas continues to go on for any much longer; the after-effects caused by the duelled presence will destroy the continent."
Suddenly a powerful tornado hit the lake, and Ruby was tossed up into the air.
"No, Sissy!" Ragnar yelled.
"Ruby!" Heather cried.
Lightning then suddenly headed straight towards Ruby, but suddenly appearing in front of it was Meliodas, who used his Full-Counter to deflect it straight at the Demon King.
"Is she okay?" Heather panicked as she lifted Gelda up. "Ruby, please say something!"
It was then that all of them saw Meliodas.
"And they say I make flashy entrances," Hiccup smiled.
"Well, he didn't show a body with you for 3,000 years; he was bound to pick up some of your habits," said Astrid.
"Whatever the case, it was quick," said Snotlout.
"Indeed," Fishlegs agreed.
"Well, I say that gives us free rein to get serious," said Eret.
"Sorry for the wait," said Meliodas.
Hiccup smiled. " No sweat, but now that we're all here, I think it's time that we show the Demon King the full might of the Seven Deadly Sins."
"Leave her with me," said Ruby as she took Gelda from Heather.
"Ruby, you never fail to impress me," said Heather. "It doesn't matter how hard I try; compared to you, I'm nothing but a loser. I even told you to rely on me more, but it changed nothing." She then turned to Ragnar. "Ragnar! Returning back to normal!"
Ragnar nodded, and as Heather approached the Demon King as she began to return to her normal size.
"That's right, I'm part of the Seven Deadly Sins, and I'm going to prove it!" she said as she began to dance.
"The dance of the Giant Clan that raises combat class," said the Demon King. "How unsightly."
He then swung his blade, sending a wave of darkness towards her, but Fishlegs blocked it with his spear.
"Not on my watch!" he said.
"Thank you, Fishlegs!" said Heather as she continued to dance. "Please, Lord Drole, hear me. I need you to lend me your strength so that I can protect everyone that I love!"
Suddenly everything began to shake on the ground around the lake began to split, and the landscape began to crumble. Soon a giant crevice formed around the lake, which surprisingly was still very much in place.
Heather then began spinning her hammer above her head, and rocks began to rise into the air. She then sent them flying towards the Demon King, who cut them to pieces with his blade.
"You would dare to defy the Demon King," he glared. "That insignificant giant girl like you!"
Then suddenly, blocked shock in his back, and he was lifted up into the air.
"You're right about that's exactly who I used to be!" Heather yelled. "A lowly giant girl who hated fighting, but not anymore. I turned over a new leaf!"
The Demon King realised what she was doing. "Think you're pretty clever, don't you? Tried to pull me out of the lake to sever my magic supply! I won't let you!"
He then broke free from the rocks and used his magic to stop them from moving.
"I'm not just doing it for me; I did it because there are people in my life I cared about, the Seven Deadly Sins!" Heather yelled as she began flying more rocks at him. "Ruby… Meliodas… Shanna… the twins… Luna and Toothless! They have always been there for me!"
"Spare me this line of nonsense," said the Demon King. "Those aren't reasons why you can possibly defeat me."
"No, then the Demon King must be blind," said Ruby. "Heather's concerns are focused on others, not what is happening to her."
"In my experience, they are the type that are most scary when you have set them," said Meliodas.
Heather smiled at them. "Ruby… Meliodas… thank you!" She then began spinning her hammer even faster. "I am the Queen of the Giants, and I come from a proud and long line. Lord Drole entrusted my people's future to me, so there's no way I'll lose. Also, I don't want to lose those that I love."
Ragnar then looked towards her. "Heather, I do not want to lose you as well, and I want to always be by you're side. I was going to ask you this want everything had settled down, but we may not get another chance."
Heather looked at him, her face slowly turning pink. "Ask me what?"
"Will you marry me?" Ragnar asked.
Heather looked at him, completely speechless and then smiled broadly. "I will!"
Immediately her magic power increased in strength, and the Demon King could no longer fight against it. The rocks kept on pelting the Demon King up into the air and began forming a platform that spanned over the entire lake.
The Demon King skidded across the ground until he came to a stop; when he looked up, he saw the Seven Deadly Sins had gathered in front of him.
"The Seven Deadly Sins are going to get started on their mission to beat the Demon King once and for all!" Hiccup announced.
"It can't be," said the Demon King as he took in his surroundings. "The entire lake is gone! Wait a minute, what is this place?"
"It's a resting place, just for you," said Meliodas as he arrived.
"We all worked together and managed to sever the magic supply from the lake," Hiccup explained. "You can't replenish your magic anymore."
"And we so happened to have just one more piece of bad news that just came in for you," Eret added.
"What?" the Demon King growled.
"It's now high noon," said Eret as he began to enter The One.
