A meeting was hastily convened by the Salarian Union to assess the threat level of these new comers in the galactic stage . Since the meeting was attended by all leading figureheads of the Union the Delataresses were also gathered.
It was Delataress Dinahlla that began the meeting " I now call the meeting to order. My fellow sisters as we are all aware of the recent happenings in council space regarding the new race and our willingness to treat with them in the matters of non aggression pact towards them. I would like to hear the opinions of the Union regarding this pact".
Delataress Njioni " I think the union should accept the pact as it ensures peaceful coexistence between the union and federation. I would also like to point out that the humans are advanced in some ways without being reliant to element zero to achieve what we have been able to do in thousands of years chiefly being the ability to have an alternative faster than light capability a feat thought impossible without element zero. This would be a technological boon for the union as it would enable us to colonise system beyond ezzo FTL and mass relays allowing us to not only have a strategic disposition as we can bypass security of all ezzo dependent species .".
Delataress Vex'lly" I also think that we should engage in this diplomatic non aggression pact. The mere existence of the Terran federation has opened up once more fields of research we thought non viable and impractical due to the discovery of ezzo. The fact that they have energy shields and weapons a thing that seems impossible to achieve with ezzo technology. We have much to evaluate and the federation can teach us much in gaining some parity with them in some areas.".
Delataress Kinlor" I also feel that we should sign the pact for peace sake. I'm of the opinion that though the federation can exist in it's own without our input they have reached out a hand of friendship to embrace all . They offered so much I fear slapping the offered hand of friendship would be detrimental to the safety of the unions existence.".
Delataress Linron" Are we going to sign this pact that outwardly appears to be a peaceful gesture it is anything but. Do I have to remind this union what the Terran federation did to Sur'kesh?. If you have forgotten they broke many secred laws that uphold our civilization. They for merely existing is a threat to the safety of the union and I would go so far as to say that they shot first in this war . Are we going to accept them while they spit and tread underfoot galactic laws?. These Terran upstarts are dangerous and upset the delicate balance of the universe. I propose that we not lower ourselves to these humans and their love for A.i and genetic engineering abominations if we ignore what has held true for thousands of years we have lost against these humans.".
The head Delaterass considered all the points her fellow sisters have made.
" All your arguments have merit, as chair of this sitting I am inclined to accept the proposal of a non aggression pact with these Terrans. It would be in the interest of the Union to play by their rules for the the time being until a thorough threat assessment can be completed. SGT will not move against the Humans but humans this side of the relay are fair game.".

The Matriarchy was in session. Famous estates and notable Asari were gathered in secret among which the council of Athame, the shadow government of Asari republic.
It was the second greatest gathering since the Rachni war.
The oldest Matriarch was the one heading the meeting her name was La'vvi. She was almost two thousand years old a testimony to Prothean technology.
"Daughters of Athame, fellow Asari sisters. we are here to speak about these humans that have appeared in the Galaxy. They have proposed a non aggression pact with the republic. I would like to hear your thoughts regarding this proposal.".
A certain Matriarch Zulunn of the northern state was the first to speak " As we have heard from Matriarch Benezia these humans have no quarrels against any of the space faring races except the Batarians and the unfortunate contact with the Turians. I would wager that we should go forward with the non aggression pact. In the interest of peace we must covenant with them.".
Another Matriarch Bulone said" The humans step on every precept that has built all of civilised space. They have spat on laws that we have come to know true as a people. By every account we should be marshalling our battle fleets and remove them from the stars, but even I see the value of peace in these uncertain times. We the Asari nolonger hold the assured dominance in the Galaxy for the first time we have to play catch up with these goddess damned Terrans . Benezia has already opened the path we should bid our time to regain our rightful place as the leaders in this goddess made Galaxy."
Similar rhetoric was also said by the Turians . As the protectors of civilised space they could not take a back sit and allow the spirit damned Terrans to walk willy nilly as if they own the Galaxy.
The Turian that took this message to heart was non other than Spectre candidate Saren.
The young Turian has felt like the lesser races should be more grateful for the security and peace of mind that their fleets provide. This entry of the humans in the Galaxy threatened the peace and security that his people have been tasked with for a thousand years.
The very spirit's will damn him if he let the threat go unchallenged. He is a good Turian and he will carry out his sworn duty to defend the peace and security the Galaxy.
