Chapter 13 Metal Etemon's Trap
Blackwargreymon and Kira stopped and ate at a small dinner not far from the hotel they stayed at. The meal was ate in silence as each one was lost in their own thoughts. Backwargreymon kept wondering what that mark on Kira's back was. Also why is it there? What could it possibly mean? As his thoughts raced Kira had her own thoughts. More like she kept mentally kicking herself for getting her and Blackwargreymon into this situation. That battle should not have happened that way. Why did I ever let my guard down for that Gazimon to attack me that badly. Now because of my stupid mistake not only are we a day behind but Blackwargreymon had to rescue me. Kira scrunched up her nose in disgust at herself which did not go unnoticed my Blackargreymon.
"What is the matter Kira?"
"Oh nothing really. Just cant believe I got hurt so bad. Guess you can did say im still beating myself up for the careless mistake I made."
"You did not know how strong digimon can be as well as how they fight. Besides its my duty to protect you myself. You should not need to worry."
"That may have been what those other digidestined did but I im not like them."
Blackwargreymon stared at her. "What do you mean?"
"I understand you and I are partners but that shouldn't mean you need to be stuck with all the work. True I may not know how to fight digimon, but its still my duty to make sure I don't get into situations im not prepared to handle myself. It would be irresponsible of me to put all that responsibility on your shoulders. At least that's what I believe." Kira finished looking down at her now empty plate.
Blackwargreymon was speechless. Even after saying it was his job as her partner to protect her she still refuses to give him the responsibility. He had always seen the kid digidestined rely on their digimon mostly. But Kira was different. The more he learned about her the more she surprised him. Blackwargreymon shut his eyes for a second and opening them up. She is honorable beyond belief but that will not stop me from shing her its ok to allow someone to fight for her. With that he stood up motioning to Kira.
"Come I have a small surprise for you that will help you recover much quicker."
Kira stood up and stretched. Then she looked up to him. "Lead the way".
10 minutes Later
They arrived at what appeared to be a temple. Its roof was sloped up to a point with green rafters. The structure was made from limestone and was beyond a beautiful site.
"Wow." Kira breathed. "What is this place?"
" it's a spa. I thought you could use a good relaxing after that traveling and battle we have encountered."
Kira looked up to Blackwargreymon with surprise. "You mean that errand was booking me a spa treatment?"
Blackwargreymon nodded.
"oh while I am grateful you are thinking of me I don't know if I can accept this, It just doesn't seem fair."
Backwargreymon chuckled. " Do not worry think of it as a quick way to recover. These waters are from the hot springs that surround a volcano. The volcano has not erupted for hundreds of years, however it is still active and produces some wonderful relaxing waters."
Kira looked down at her feet and shuffled them a bit. "Still…."
Blackwargreymon kneeled down and used a claw to bring her face to stare at his. "Come now Kira do it for me."
Kira cracked a small smile. "Alright, but as soon as im done we go on ahead back on the road. Deal?"
Blackwargreymon chuckled. "Deal. Now go and enjoy, ill be back for you in an hour or two." Then he stood up and went out into the town again.
Kira turned around and headed into the spa.
"Ahhhhh." It had been only 20 minutes ago that Kira had entered the spa and she was already relaxed. Kira was now sitting in a nice hot spring in a bikini allowing the waters to ease all her tense muscles. "This is way more relaxing then a simple meditation. Im defiantly thanking Blackwargreymon for this somehow."
A digimon that looked like a small elephant with a cloud for a tail came up to the bath. "Hello I am Tapermon. Is there anything I can get for you?"
"Hmm well this water is really warn, can I have a cool drink while I soak?"
Tapermon bent his head. "of coarse anything you prefer?"
"How bout an ice tea please?"
"Coming right up." Tapermon left and then came back with a glass of cold tea. "Here you are."
Kira took a sip and let out a small ahh. "That's really good. Thank you Tapermon."
Tapermon bowed. "You are welcome. Please call me if you need anything else and enjoy your soak." With that Tapermon left Kira to soak.
1 hour later
Kira was walking out of the changing room after she got done with her soak. Man that was incredible. I need to figure out a way to pay Blackwargreymon back for that nice spa date. I just don't know what he would want in return. Need to figure out a way to get him to tell me without blowing what I wanna do. As Kira was thinking this she passed underneath a doorway that had a Gazimon waiting on her to pass under. As she went under the Gazimon threw out a net over her. "GOTCHA". Kira thrashed around trying to get the net off her. "Hey get this thing off me!" Kira thrashed and thrashed but the net was not coming off. As she kicked another Gazimon came up to where she lay. "Now now don't be like that our boss just wants to invite you to come meet him. And what the boss wants he gets." With that the Gazimon knocked her firmly on the head causing Kira to black out.
What will happen to Kira? Will Blackwargreymon get to her before the Gazimon take her away? Or will she end up meeting this boss she heard the Gazimon say? Find out in the next chapter of The New and Only Digidestined.
