I do not own Harry Potter, or Star Wars, if I did, the sequels would have been very different and much better then what we got

Hello guys, Badger here. Wow, I don't know why, but this chapter took longer to write then I first thought. Seriously, I don't know what it was, but I had to take a day off from writing just to clear my head, before finishing off the rest. But hey, it's finished now, so hopefully the headaches were worth it.

Anyway, this chapter was originally longer by a fair amount, where Harry talks to Palpatine for the first time at the end of the chapter, but I decided to remove it and save it for the beginning of the next chapter, as I felt like it took away from the flow of what I was going for with the plot of this chapter. I'll leave it there for now. Read on and I hope you enjoy!

Chapter 4

Power In The Blood

Palpatine sat at his desk, eyes closed, as he rested his chin on the palms of his hands. Using the Dark Side to hide himself, and his true identity, from the Jedi was quite draining and often left him with a major headache. However, it was worth it, for the position of power he had. Being able to manipulate things behind the scenes, as the Chancellor, made things easier to gain the power he needs. Progress was slow, but the foundations of his plans were being put in place. To begin with, he started placing small seeds in young Skywalker's mind. So far, these seeds wouldn't do much for Skywalker to begin questioning the Jedi Order, however in time, with more planning and larger seeds, everything would go accordingly. However, with this Harry Potter on the scene, he began thinking more deeply. With the power he could sense in the boy, at first, he considered leaving Anakin alone and using this newcomer instead. But now, after laying out his options, he smiled darkly, as he thought about turning BOTH of them to the Dark Side.

Anakin was, not only the chosen one, but also extremely stronger for someone of his age, stronger then most of the Jedi, and then there was Harry, with the right training, the power he holds would allow him to do things, most considered to be impossible. Combined, Anakin and Harry could turn the entire galaxy to dust. The rule of two had crossed his mind, but Palpatine scoffed at that. From what he heard from the Council, Harry was a magic user. The boy wouldn't need a lightsaber, or a Sith title. Anakin would be Palpatine's apprentice and Harry, would act as his number one enforcer when the new Sith Empire rose to power, where Palpatine would allow Harry to deal with their enemies however he wished.

All he needed to do, was speak to the young lad personally, so Palpatine can begin planting the necessary seeds to lure Potter to his cause.

"Master Yoda, are you sure?" Windu asked, as he and a few other members of the council sat in their chairs "It could be quite dangerous"

"Hmm, interesting it would be" Yoda spoke "Dangerous, I do not think it is, but intrigued I am"

"I agree with Master Yoda" The deep voice of Plo Koon said "I have seen many magic users myself and, I admit, I am always fascinated by the things they can do…and, young Potter has intrigued me as well, seeing as his people come from a planet we are unfamiliar with, it leaves me wondering what exactly he can do"

"Not to mention, it will help us with the boys protection" Shaak Ti spoke up, putting in her own two cents "If the boy is surprisingly strong for someone of his age, then this hidden Dark Lord would, without a doubt, do anything to get his hands on the boy if he found out and use that power against us"

"The thought has already cross our minds" Windu said "Well, if everyone is in agreement, then we'll set up the training area, so we can see what exactly Harry can do"

Harry was confused, as he was being led by Windu, down one of the corridors of the temple. Windu wasn't very informative when he appeared at the dorm he shared with Ahsoka. That seemed to be a running theme with the man. Though if Harry was being honest, he wasn't entirely sure what to think about the dark skinned Jedi. Windu may be a Jedi, 'a keeper of peace' as the records he read called them, but Harry could feel some aggression in the man. Harry wasn't sure how he was able to feel such things, but he chose to find out as soon as he could. Either way, Harry felt like Windu wasn't as much of a 'keeper of peace' as he says. Harry scoffed internally, as he thought of those words. The Jedi were labelled in the records as peace keepers, not soldier, who only resort to violence as a last resort. Harry felt like those records aged like milk as, from what he's heard from others, the Jedi are currently at war with some other faction. In fact, Harry vaguely remembered hearing some Jedi being greeted as 'general'. Seems, despite the records claims, the Jedi have become soldiers. Harry supposed it was understandable to some extent, but he still felt like there was some kind of hypocrisy there.

Shaking his head, Harry followed Windu, where they entered a large circular room. The room was empty, save for Anakin, Ahsoka and two other Jedi, Harry couldn't remember the names of. At one end of the room, was a large number of training dummies, lined up in a row. Harry raised an eyebrow, curious as to what was going on, when a kind looking man with a beard made his way over.

"Harry Potter, nice to meet you under more relaxed circumstances" He said, giving Harry a gentle smile "I am Master Obi Wan Kenobi, I'm guessing you don't know why we have brought you here?"

"Not really" Harry replied

It was early days, but out of all the people he had met, Harry felt like Obi Wan Kenobi was more trust worthy then the others. There was also Ahsoka, but Harry could tell she had been indoctrinated in the strange beliefs of the Jedi and seemed to be in a bit of a mental struggle. Kenobi may have been indoctrinated with the same beliefs, but Harry felt like he was a kind hearted man Harry could probably rely on in the future. However, it was still early days. Harry was still going to keep a closer eye on the people around him. He had spent the past two years of people whispering and talking about him behind his back, being hexed in school corridors and for months on end, that Umbridge bitch had been forcing him to write with his own blood. Thankfully the scars were faint, but Harry could still feel them like they were fresh. Cornelius Fudge was just as bad, trying everything he could to discredit Harry, calling him a liar, a fake and all sorts of harsh and derogatory terms.

Then there was Dumbledore. He used to look up to the old man, but over the past year, the man has been distant and before Harry and his friends were surrounded by Death Eaters, Harry found a so-called 'prophecy' involving himself and Voldemort and Harry felt like Dumbledore knew about it to some extent. Which is why Dumbledore had some questions to answer when Harry got back home. Because of everything, Harry felt like he couldn't trust most, if not all, adults and authoritarian figures, hence he was going to keep everything on a tight leash for the time being. Harry shook his head, as Obi Wan began talking, gesturing for Harry to step into the centre of the circle.

"Myself, and a few other members of the Council, are curious as to what you can actually do" Obi Wan explained "We have encountered many magical beings in our time, but as your planet is unknown to us, it has left us intrigued and, if it's alright with you, we want to see some of your magic…we've set up some targets for you to use"

Harry was quiet for a moment. It wasn't that long ago when he got into trouble by the Ministry for saving himself and his cousin from the Dementors. He had been confused as to how the Ministry knew until he was informed about something called the Trace. Harry wasn't entirely sure if the Jedi would be considered Muggles by the Ministry. However, as Harry thought about it, he couldn't help but doubt that the Trace worked on another planet. After a moment, Harry shrugged.

"Okay, I'll do it"

As Harry spoke with Master Kenobi, Ahsoka stood by her Master, Anakin Skywalker. She was watching Harry, but her mind was elsewhere. All she could think about was what Harry told her, about the Jedi Code and her people's biology. It was something she hadn't thought about until then, and it was constantly whispering in her ear, making her wonder why the Jedi forbade things like attachments and emotions.

"Are you okay Snips?" Anakin asked "You seem a bit…lost, if that's the right way to put it"

"I'm fine…it's just…" Ahsoka stuttered "Master…why do the Jedi forbid emotions and attachments?"

That knocked Anakin back a bit. He wasn't expecting Ahsoka to ask that. Anakin himself wondered why himself, but he had never seen or heard Ahsoka questioning such things. He wasn't sure what to tell her. It was an unexpected question and he couldn't really say much, not without accidentally telling her about himself and Padme.

"I'm not entirely sure myself Snips" Anakin sighed, after a moment "It's been part of the Jedi Code for centuries, as it's believed such things could lead to the Dark Side…besides from that, I don't know…why do you ask?"

"Oh…no reason" Ahsoka responded, looking down slightly

She was slightly disappointed by Anakin's answer. What he told her was a more vague explanation of everything that she had been informed during her training when she first arrived at the Temple. Again, she heard what Harry told her in the back of her mind: 'Just because they 'could' doesn't mean that they 'will''. Ahsoka just felt more confused the more it plagued on her mind.

Harry stood alone in the centre of the circle, wand in hand. Windu, Kenobi and a strange woman who seemed to be a Togruta like Ahsoka, stood a few feet away. Harry's eyes were locked on the targets. He was silent for a moment, as he thought about which spell to use. He wanted to show them what he could do, like they asked, but he didn't want to use something that they would think is 'Dark', like he saw in the records he read. Seriously, these people were more confusing and strict then the Ministry when it came to labelling something as 'Dark Magic'. Gripping his wand tighter, a spell on his mind, Harry eventually swished his wand in the correct movement, as he said the incantation.

"Bombarda!" He exclaimed

Harry was surprised, when he felt a huge surge of power run through his veins, before the spell left his wand. The force of the power coming from the spell, made Harry recoil backwards, as he was knocked back a bit and needed to plant his feet heavier on the ground to stop himself from flying several feet across the room, where the sound of one of the targets blowing up echoed across the room. Harry had used the spell a couple of times before, but he never felt so much power before. It felt quite intense and he felt a strange feeling building up inside of him. Harry looked up to the target he aimed at, to see it wasn't even standing there anymore. Just a small charred stump, with a dark cloud of smoke and small amounts of debris. Harry was shocked, as were the Jedi in the room around him.

"What was that?" Windu asked, after a moment of silent

"That…that was the Exploding Charm" Harry replied, panting as he felt the adrenaline in his veins beginning to stop, though his wand was sending tingles up and down his arm "It's…it's kind of self-explanatory and it is relatively safe…but, it felt different…"

"Can you explain what you mean by that?" The Togruta asked

"Well…" Harry stuttered "on my world, those who are wizards and witches, magic flows through their blood…that's why we are able to do spells in the first place…however…when I used that spell, everything felt strange…it felt stronger, more powerful…I don't really know how to explain it"

"Hmm…do you mind if I check your Midi-chlorian count?" The Togruta asked

"Shaak Ti?" Kenobi asked, in a tone asking her to explain, whilst Harry just raised a confused eyebrow

"If I check his Midi-chlorian count, it could help explain why he feels like his 'spells' are more powerful as he says" Shaak Ti said

"Hold on, explain" Harry spoke up "What are these…Midi-chlorian's?"

"They are microscopic life forms that make up all life in the universe" Windu explained in a lecturer tone "They share with a connection to the Force, and the higher the count within an individual, the stronger they are with the Force…the average Jedi has a Midi-chlorian count of 10'000 to 15'000…except for Master Skywalker, who has an estimated count of 25'000…"

"Making me the most powerful Jedi of all time" Anakin said in a mix of a playful and boasting tone

Harry narrowed his eyes slightly. He still wasn't sure what to make of the young man. Harry could feel that he was strong and passionate, but there was also an arrogance to him that Harry didn't like. Not to mention there was something bubbling deep inside of him. Harry didn't know what it was, but it was there, simmering away.

"Okay, fine" Harry said "I'll let you count my Midi-chlorian's"

"Okay, I just need to take a small blood sample" Shaak Ti said, pulling out a strange device

"You'll destroy the sample afterwards right?" Harry asked, slightly nervous, as the last time his blood was taken, Voldemort had been resurrected

"Of course, we do so with every sample" Shaak Ti replied "Why so tense?"

"Let's just say bad things can be done with magical blood" Harry muttered, before rolling up his sleeve "Just do what you need to do"

Shaak Ti raised an eyebrow, before placing the device on his arm. Harry felt a sharp pinch and felt some blood being taken, where Shaak Ti removed the device a second later. Harry watched as she started fiddling with the device, waiting for the reading to be complete. When the numbers came up on the device, her eyes widened. She fiddled around a bit more, having the device read the blood again. She did this about three times, her eyes widening even more.

"That can't be possible" She muttered

"What is it?" Kenobi asked

"The readings are off the charts" Shaak Ti replied "Massively off the charts…in fact, the device can't seem to settle on a final count, it keeps jumping between 35'000 and 45'000, but it always averages around a count of 40'000 Midi-chlorian's"

"What!" The other Jedi exclaimed

"Umm…is that good or bad?" Harry asked

"It depends" Kenobi replied "In all of Jedi History, as far as I'm aware, there has never been a Jedi, or a Sith with a Midi-chlorian count that high, it's rare for a Jedi to even reach 20'000…either you, yourself are very powerful in the Force…or your people are especially gifted in something we don't know"

That knocked Harry back a bit. Was he really that powerful? He didn't think he was that powerful. He was merely a teenager. There were many in the Wizarding World who were more powerful then himself. Dumbledore and Voldemort come to mind. Both of them have decades worth of experience and have, possibly, mastered magic Harry had never heard off.

What did this mean?

Yoda sat comfortably, cross legged, on his chair. His eyes were closed, as he meditated. The war and the corruption of the Dark Side he could feel across the galaxy was quite taxing, that the small green Jedi would meditate at any opportune moment he could. Yoda heard the door to the room open, but he didn't open his eyes. He didn't need to, as he could sense who it was, before they even stepped through the door way. He waited until they sat down on the chair opposite his, before speaking.

"Worry, I sense you are, Windu" Yoda said, opening his eyes, turning to his friend "Troubling you, something is hmm?"

"Harry" Windu replied simply "He is still in the training area…we had him show us some magic like you said…he completely obliterated one of the targets with one spell"

"Something else, there is, tell I can" Yoda said, crossing his hands together tilting his head to one side

"Harry said it felt different…he couldn't quite explain it" Windu said, uncertain of the wording himself "He said, it felt more powerful then usual…Master Shaak Ti then decided to take his Midi-chlorian count, believing that would give some answers"

"And?" Yoda asked

"It was nearly double the count of Skywalker" Windu said "Shaak Ti stated the counter was bouncing between 35'000 and 45'000, though from what she could tell, it was averaging at a 40'000 Midi-chlorian count…I have read through many files on the Jedi of old, I have not seen any in history who have had a count so high"

"Never, has there been" Yoda replied, his eyes widening in surprise, a rare thing, as the green Jedi was rarely surprised at anything "Interesting this is, yet troubling also…powerful in the Force, the boy must be…confirms this does, that his presence, kept hidden must be, from the Dark Lord of the Sith"

"Master Yoda" Windu said "If he really is as strong in the Force, as you say…what does this mean exactly?"

"Know, I do not" Yoda sighed "More than meets the eye, there is, when it comes to Harry Potter"

And done.

What did you guys think? I feel like it went down a strange road at some point before getting back on the main roads, but I'll let you decide. Anyway, as you can probably tell, the main plot point of this chapter, was Harry beginning to discover that he is strangely stronger then he was before. If you are worried about Harry becoming an overpowered, godlike character, in the next chapter, don't worry. Over the course of this story, Harry will slowly grow stronger over time, as he discovers more magic and learns just how strong he actually is. How though? You'll have to wait.

Speaking of, originally, I was expecting this story to go on for at least 10 chapters before Harry goes off to look for Sirius, but it's possible it may happen sooner then expected, as I feel like I'll just be repeating the same things if I try to stretch this out for another 6 chapters. So, because of this, expect Harry to go looking for Sirius, in chapter 5 or chapter 6.

That is all for now, I hope you enjoyed and I will see you next time.
