Sunstreaker's P.O.V.
"How did you do this?" I ask Jasmine as I look at a cut, trying to stop the bleeding. It's not deep, yet Jasmine keeps saying not to tell Ratchet and argues this was an accident.
Do I point out she's not convincing me by saying we shouldn't tell Ratchet about this? Can't ask Rung without telling him the situation either. I'm going to watch her more closely, but I need to be careful. She cut her arm, but we can hide this since Jasmine has been wearing long-sleeved shirts. Unless Ratchet decides the two can go back to their room and he sees her shirtless, this should heal before he'll know. The risk I'm taking is if I'm right and this was no accident.
Sideswipe loves spending time with Audrey. He can help with Audrey. Which will help Jasmine with her mental health and recovery. Except for the concern that Yazmine could be after Audrey and Rachet. I think nothing will help that fear until Yazmine is dealt with. I can't go on a mission to find her yet.
"What can we do to help her?" Sideswipe asks as we watch Jasmine feed Audrey on the couch.
"I don't know. I doubt Ratchet would know if he was here. So glad the court date isn't until March."
"I think we can help by showing the improvements to the security system. You know Wheeljack and Que are going to improve the system."
"I doubt they're finished. I'll go talk to them."

Even while Sunstreaker and I are guarding her and Audrey, Jasmine doesn't feel safe. While still not great, I hope she just needs a little more time with this routine — plus Ratchet not being so busy — to start feeling safe. I suspect not being able to work in the medbay isn't helping, but I understand why Ratchet and Rung believe she's not ready. Who the frag knows what Yazmine put her through? Things in the medbay could be a trigger. Still, how's she supposed to get over that without working in the medbay?I take Audrey and Jasmine to the cafeteria for lunch. Ratchet is waiting for us in the hallway.
I asked Ironhide to take the two femmes into the cafeteria. He didn't ask why before agreeing, but Ratchet is concerned.
"Jasmine is doing ok. How is keeping Jasmine from working in the medbay or training helping? I know the medbay likely has triggers, but how else are we to help her deal
with them?"
"You have a point. I'll talk to Rung."
I'm hoping Jasmine will be back in the medbay before all the patients from the attack are released. It's wishful thinking, but I'm hoping one of them will talk to Jasmine like Darius did, even though he and another guard were attacked before Jasmine was kidnapped, that still helped her.
I should have asked if Ratchet could cut back his hours in the medbay seeing how much Jasmine misses him. Even Audrey misses him, seeing her smile as he takes her out of her stroller. Curious if they'll teach her Ratchet isn't her dad, and Jasmine is her sister. Though Audrey might not understand until she's at least seven years old. Jasmine doesn't bother asking Ratchet to take time off, but I know she wants to.
After lunch, I take the girls back to our room. By now, Audrey is ready for a nap.
"You're needed for a meeting," Bumblebee informs me. I worry about Jasmine, but there's no way we can leave her alone for a while, "I was Jamie's guardian for a while, remember? I can calm her down if she's not liking the change of who is with her."
I'm still uncertain, but I'll be in trouble for skipping the meeting.
How did I not think this meeting would be about Jasmine? Both medics, Lennox, Optimus, Prowl, Red Alert, Rung, Wheeljack, and Sunstreaker are part of the meeting. Wheeljack and Red Alert started the meeting, talking about the improvements to the security system. They're installing emergency activation buttons around the base. Unfortunately, there's no way to have the system detect infiltrators since Yazmine's insiders were already soldiers or employed at the base. We can only hope the improvements to the system is enough to help Jasmine feel safe.
I didn't think Rung would agree with me about Jasmine working in the medbay. I figured this would be a slow process. Ratchet believes he can get Jasmine back into the residency program, and since she'll be working with him, he can have her work on practice dummies. Though there's no way to know how long she'll need before feeling safe to take on patients.
Sunstreaker brings up the concern that Ratchet is not with Jasmine often. Uncertain if that's affecting her recovery. Though hopefully, that'll change. Sunstreaker still wants to continue his guard duty. This is surprising because that means taking care of Audrey most of the day. Unless he's going to leave her with me, which I wouldn't mind, but that wouldn't work for Jasmine and Ratchet with the case and being able to adopt Audrey.
Ratchet's P.O.V.
I'm hoping we have a good plan to help Jasmine recover mentally. I know she's not happy not being able to work in the medbay or training to be a soldier. For now, we'll work on getting her back to working in the medbay. I will let Jasmine workout with Sunstreaker.
I return to the medbay to check on the patients. Five are in critical condition and on ventilators. The other fifteen will be released within the next few weeks, though they won't be back on duty for at least two months.
The first patient to be discharged will be Roy Green. We'll be discharging him tomorrow. He's been concerned about Jasmine. Hearing how he'll be released tomorrow, Roy asks about talking to Jasmine. He knows talking to her might do nothing, but he's hoping to help her not blame herself for what happened. I don't want this turning into every victim of the attack talking to Jasmine, but I'll let Roy talk to her. The others will probably say the same as him.
"... I'd like to help her, but I know she's struggling with trusting people and bots," Roy finishes.
"Which is going to be hard to work on. Let me talk to Rung."
Roy reminded me we forgot to talk about Jasmine's trust issue at the meeting. It's part of getting her to feel safe at the base, but we didn't talk about Jasmine questioning if there're still insiders for Yazmine. This problem is going to take more time to deal with. This is the issue that's going to keep Jasmine from being a soldier more than working in the medbay.
