Heaven or Hell?
2331
Since the Hellsing Organization had closed, the three monsters were free to do or go anywhere they pleased. They spent most of the three hundred years together. For almost the entire first century after their freedom, they traveled to different parts of the world to bring culture to the fledgling's life. Eventually they settled in London, Seras' home she couldn't part from. And despite them living separately, Alucard almost always had his fledgling visiting, which he didn't particularly mind. He adored his Seras Victoria and knew that she would follow him anywhere and everywhere for the rest of eternity.
"My Lord!" A servant chased after him down a corridor. Alucard had been in the middle of a conversation with Michaelis when they were so rudely interrupted by this frantic sounding servant. Pausing in the middle of the corridor, the No Life King shifted his head to glance behind him. There was a clear look of panic mingling with fear in the servant's eyes. The man stumbled when realizing he had captured the monsters' attention. Whimpering, the servant swung out his arms to try and regain his balance.
"What is it?" Alucard asked in a cold tone, showing his clear annoyance as he glowered at the foolish man. Remembering what the news was, the servant gasped and began to cower in their presence.
"It's your fledgling, Seras Victoria." The servant murmured, afraid to say whatever it was that he had to tell them.
"Is she here?" The elder vampire asked, causing the servant's face to pale.
"I thought you weren't expecting her today." Sebastian added as he gave a curious look at Alucard.
"Police Girl has the habit of dropping in without any warning, though." Alucard snickered. Glancing back at the servant, the No Life King proceeded. "Tell her we'll be with her in a minute." As he was turning, the servant gave an unexpected response.
"I…can't, Sir. Miss. Victoria isn't here." The servant whispered. He could hear in the tone of the servant's voice that he was going to be sick. "She's…dead, Sir." The two monsters froze when hearing those words. Dead? Seras Victoria?
"Impossible," Alucard whispered before he swung back around to give the servant a withering look. Without much thought, the elder vampire swept out an arm to grab the man by his shirt. The servant cried out in shock when he was lifted from the floor with ease and brought to the monster's face. "Not my Seras Victoria. You must be mistaken. Who put you up to this? Seras? Is this some silly, childish prank she's trying to pull on us?"
"No, Sir." The servant answered while his entire body trembled. The poor man was starting to sweat bullets, afraid to say anything more in case Alucard decided to release that anger onto him. "The news has been spreading throughout London. Many vampires are…celebrating her death, Sir. Some are even taking credit for killing her themselves." Everything he was being told, Alucard couldn't process. The person that they were talking about, the person that had died, couldn't be his Seras Victoria. He refused to believe it!
"What happened?" Sebastian asked. Perhaps Miss. Victoria was simply injured and needed their help in rejuvenating. That had to be it.
"No one knows for certain. It could have been hunters, but as I said before, other vampires are taking credit. It's possible that a vampire…"
"Enough," Alucard interrupted the servant. He dropped the man back on his feet before looking over at Michaelis. "My troublesome fledgling might be in need of our help." The demon simply nodded in agreement. Without another word, the two monsters vanished from that corridor only to appear halfway across London in a flat. Despite it being night, the flat was so very quiet. It had an almost eerie feeling being dark and absent of any small blondes. Normally, music would be playing, music they often mocked her for listening to. But, for once, they didn't hear a single note of that god awful, modern music. It was unsettling. Where was the music? They needed to make a jab so Seras could come out and playfully argue with them about her taste. Their eyes scanned the room, being able to see the living room, dining area, and kitchen all from where they stood. Nothing. No noise of any kind. No fledgling in sight. Not even an indication that she had been up and about at all that night. The front door didn't look to have been damaged in any sort of way, but it was slightly open, implying that someone had been there in her flat. And then they heard it, a sound coming from her bedroom.
"Seras," Alucard whispered before he quickly made his way towards her room. They had wandered into her room on very few occasions in the past. But there was only one night when the both of them actually spent a morning in her room. It was a confusing time for the three of them; a time where they just didn't know where they stood in this relationship. They had a blissful day of exploring their feelings, familiarizing each other's bodies, and sharing pleasure. That took place only a month ago. Since then, they've been subtly flirting with her and playfully groping her whenever they got the chance that was most inconvenient for her. It was just they're way of teasing her, of wanting to entice her, knowing that they would eventually end up in bed together again. Perhaps even take things further and just finally mate since she was the only one they truly cared about; the only person they could ever love.
Entering her room, Alucard and Sebastian found a sight that not only chilled them, but downright infuriated them. Seras was undoubtedly dead. Her lifeless corpse was still in her coffin, most likely having been attacked when she was at her most vulnerable. A stake was sticking straight out of her chest, having pierced her heart. Blood was splattered all over her pretty white nightgown and soft flesh, telling them that she had been stabbed multiple what really sickened them; what really drove them to their limit were the vampires in her room that were disrespecting her body. Three male vampires stood over the fledgling's coffin, completely unaware of the dark men in the doorway that lurked behind them. One of the three had torn open Seras' nightgown to take pictures on his phone of her breasts.
"She may have been a righteous cunt, but she had some tasteful boobs, I'll give her that." The one taking the pictures chuckled.
"Not so scary anymore with a stake sticking out of her." A second man stated.
"Real cliche, but props to whoever pulled it off and ended this worthless bitch's life." The third man responded.
"Yeah, she was really quite the pain in the ass these last few centuries. Acting like some vigilante and making it hard for the rest of us to hunt and fuck in peace." The one taking the pictures added.
"What a fucking moron," The third man laughed. Shifting his head to look at his friend, one of them finally noticed the monsters standing in the doorway. Fully turning to look at Alucard and Sebastian, and recognizing them instantly, his face paled drastically. "Shit,"
"What?" The second guy murmured and turned to see what he was staring at. On cue, his jaw dropped and his eyes practically bulged out of his head. "Darrin," He tried warning the guy taking all the vile photos of their deceased lover.
"Look, we're really sorry." The third man attempted to apologize while he gave a nervous smile. When hearing his friend apologize, Darrin gasped and finally turned to see the two men standing in the doorway. Quickly, he shoved his phone behind his back as if he would be able to hide what he was doing from them. "We just wanted to see if what everybody else was saying was true. We wanted to know if the No Life Queen actually bit the bullet…I mean was killed…I mean…Sorry for your loss." The third man stammered as he tried crawling his way out of the hole they dug themselves in.
"We're really, really sorry." The second guy added while his teeth chattered. It was so quiet then. It was disturbing how silent Alucard and Sebastian were. It was obvious that they were far from pleased with what they found. Such a horrendous look of anger glistened from their dark red eyes, daring to rip their hearts from their bodies. But the monsters only stood there and stared at them without saying a word. Was it to make the fear run deep in them? Or were the monsters giving them a chance to leave? And then, one of the two monsters finally moved. Alucard took a step in the room.
"Of all the monsters to fear, you feared her?" The No Life King spoke in a surprisingly calm voice. As if those men didn't even exist, he walked right past them to stare into his fledgling's coffin. The lifeless girl didn't look at peace. The sight of that stake in her chest made his stomach churn. He knew that pain, but he unfortunately lived to tell the tale. His sweet Draculina will never utter another word again. "She was a striking No Life Queen and quite the fearsome monster when she wanted to be, but she was the sweetest girl I have ever laid my eyes on. But you and the humans were too foolish to see that. You only saw what you wanted to see, a monster. Someone to blame when you were in the wrong; when you were unnecessarily killing and raping."
"They celebrate her death." Sebastian whispered with such a pained look in his eyes. "It sickens me." He wasn't lying. The demon was pale in the face, as if at any second his legs would give out and he would dry heave. But he remained standing and stared at the girl's body in such sorrow. He was still having a hard time believing that any of this was real. He hardly ever dreamed, but surely this was a dream right? Just one of those horrible nightmares the humans were always prattling on about, right? He had never experienced a nightmare before, but he was hoping that these were one of the infamous nightmares and that Seras was actually safe somewhere. Maybe he'll wake up any minute and then he'll go rushing to her place to hold her in his arms. He'll finally tell her his true feelings and maybe she'll grant him one of her adorable, sweet smiles before she kisses him. Please, allow this all to be a dream. He couldn't bear the thought of Seras actually being gone.
