JOHNNEAS & FERB 2

Chapter 5

Johnny, Susan & Mary entered the lab and ran over to the construction drones.

"Drones, we need you to dismantle the skate park," Susan instructed.

"Command denied," one of the drones replied. "We are low on energy and need to recharge."

"Not good," Mary said. "The drones must've used up all their energy building the skate park." That was only half true. What Johnny, Susan & Mary didn't know was that the drones used up a lot of their energy building the life-size action figures for Dukey and Perry too.

"We don't have time to recharge them. Dad'll be here any minute. We need a new plan," Susan advised.

"Maybe if we're lucky, the skate park'll get hit by a shrink ray right before Dad shows up," Johnny commented.

"Johnny, we already told you that was completely unexpected," Mary reminded.

Just then, Johnny got an idea. "Not this time. You two have your own shrink rays, right? What if we shrink the skate park ourselves so when Dad sees it, he'll think it's a model skate park? Then, we can move it and grow it back later," Johnny suggested.

"Great idea, Johnny," Susan agreed. "Only one problem though. We need a way to distract Sissy and Candace."

"That won't be necessary," a voice said. Johnny, Susan & Mary saw Mr. Black and Mr. White entering the lab. "They just left."

"Mr. Black and Mr. White? How long have you two been here?" Mary questioned.

"I invited them over. I told them Candace was tryin' to bust us and they agreed to help me stop her. They're the ones who took your spy cameras," Johnny nervously admitted. Susan and Mary glared at him.

"You're lucky we're on your side now, Johnny," Susan said sternly.

"Don't worry. You'll get your cameras back," Mr. Black assured.

"Where did Sissy and Candace go?" Mary asked.

"They took off on Sissy's bike and they're looking for your dad. His car broke down and he's traveling home on foot," Mr. White explained.

"And they're so obsessed with busting us that they're gonna go into town, find Dad and bring him home themselves?" Susan guessed.

"Exactly," Mr. White confirmed.

"Works for us," Johnny replied. "Now, we have more time to move the skate park."

"Already got that covered," Mr. Black informed. "We just called the General and he's on his way over. He's gonna help us finish the mission."

Elsewhere in Porkbelly, Hugh was still traveling home. He was sweating and panting after running so much. He stopped for a moment to catch his breath.

"I'll never get home at this rate," Hugh complained. "If only I had a ride."

Just then, Sissy and Candace pulled up beside Hugh on the former's three-person bike. Sissy was in the driver's seat and Candace was in the back seat.

"Hey, Mr. Test," Sissy greeted. "Need a ride?"

"Oh, thank you, girls. That's really nice of you," Hugh said in surprise and relief as he sat in the back seat with Candace.

"No problem," Candace replied. "It's busting time!"

In the Test backyard, Johnny, Susan, Mary, Gil, Phineas & Ferb were all done riding the skate park.

"That was the coolest skate park I've ever been to!" Johnny cheered.

"Same here, dude," Gil agreed. "What're we gonna do with it?"

As if on cue, the group of six heard the sound of propellers whirring. They looked up and saw several helicopters arriving above them. One group of army men chanting 'hut' barged into the backyard while another group of army men wearing parachutes descended and landed in the backyard. The General was among the latter group.

"What's goin' on?" Phineas wondered.

"The government must've been spying on us again," Susan assumed. "I'm guessing they sent the army here to inspect the skate park."

"Who's he?" Phineas asked, pointing to the General.

"That's the General," Johnny answered. "Remember Mr. Black and Mr. White? He's their boss."

"Good afternoon," the General greeted as he approached Phineas and Ferb. "You two must be the kids Agents Black and White told me about. The ones who build rollercoasters and water slides in their backyard."

"That's us," Phineas confirmed. "I'm Phineas and this is my brother, Ferb."

"Nice to meet you both. Did you build this entire skate park yourselves?"

"Some of it. We did have help,"

"Our construction drones built some of it too," Mary mentioned.

"Well, I gotta admit it's mighty impressive," the General complimented. "If it's alright with you, I'd like to use it as an obstacle course so I can train my men."

"Sure, you can have it," Phineas agreed. "We're done for the day."

"Thank you kindly," the General replied. He turned to his men. "It's go time, boys! Take it away!"

The men who were in the helicopters began lowering multiple chain hooks down to the ground and the men in the backyard began attaching the hooks to the skate park. Once all the hooks were attached, the helicopters lifted the skate park up and carried it away.

"Looks like our work here's done. You kids have a good rest of the day," the General said before leaving the backyard with his men in tow.

At the battle, Wacko and Doofenshmirtz were looking around for Dukey and Perry.

"Dukey the Dog!" Wacko called out.

"Perry the Platypus!" Doofenshmirtz called out.

"Neither of you can escape us!"

"Show yourselves so we can defeat you!"

While Wacko and Doofenshmirtz continued their search, Dukey and Perry were hiding behind a nearby building.

"I don't suppose we have time to go back to the lab and combine our action figures, do we?" Dukey questioned. Perry shook his head, meaning 'no'. "I didn't think so. Maybe, we can try to find a weak spot on Wackoshmirtz instead."

That gave Perry an idea. He flew up to the roof of the building and faced Wackoshmirtz, whose back was facing him. Perry noticed a 'self-destruct' button on Wackoshmirtz's back.

"Did you find one?" Dukey asked as he landed next to Perry, who pointed to the 'self-destruct' button. Dukey noticed what Perry was pointing at. "A self-destruct button! That'll work. I'll distract them while you go for it."

Perry nodded in agreement. Then, Dukey flew over to Wackoshmirtz and up to his heads.

"Hey, Wacko, Doofenshmirtz!" Dukey called out. "Looking for me?"

"It's about time you showed up, Dukey the Dog," Wacko commented.

"You are no match for us," Doofenshmirtz declared.

"That's what you think," Dukey replied.

Wackoshmirtz tried to smash Dukey by clapping him with two of his hands but Dukey dodged the attack just in time.

"Missed me!" Dukey taunted. Wackoshmirtz tried the attack again with his other two hands but Dukey dodged it again. "Too slow!"

"QUIT MOVING!" Doofenshmirtz ordered angrily.

Wackoshmirtz kept trying to smash Dukey and he also tried punching and slapping him down to the ground but Dukey dodged every attack. While he was flying around, Dukey stopped in front of Wacko's head and stuck his tongue out at him. Wacko tried to punch Dukey but Dukey moved out of the way and Wacko ended up punching himself. Dukey stopped again in front of Doofenshmirtz's head and stuck his tongue out at him. Doofenshmirtz tried to slap Dukey but Dukey moved out of the way again and Doofenshmirtz ended up slapping himself.

Dukey flew away and once the villains regained their composure, Wackoshmirtz started chasing him again. Dukey headed into an alley but it was a dead end. Soon, Wackoshmirtz found him and Dukey found himself trapped.

"Yes! We finally got you right where we want you," Wacko said evilly.

Wackoshmirtz pulled out four lasers and aimed them at Dukey. Meanwhile, Perry snuck behind Wackoshmirtz and slowly began to reach for the 'self-destruct' button.

"You've been a thorn in my side for too long, Dukey the Dog," Wacko continued. "Once I destroy you, I'm gonna destroy your pesky owner, Johnny."

"Then, we're gonna destroy Perry the Platypus," Doofenshmirtz added. He suddenly realized something. "Wait a minute. Where is Perry the Platypus?"

Just then, Perry pressed the 'self-destruct' button and a robotic voice said, "Self-destruct sequence activated."

"Right behind you," Dukey answered.

"Oh, dummkopf," Doofenshmirtz groaned.

"What was that?" Wacko questioned.

"I put a 'self-destruct' button on the back of our action figure," Doofenshmirtz admitted nervously.

"YOU DID WHAT?" Wacko shouted furiously.

"Remember when you said you had me right where you wanted me? Yeah, you had it backwards," Dukey said smugly.

"Initiating countdown," the robotic voice said. "10, 9, 8..."

"IT'S GONNA BLOW!" Wacko and Doofenshmirtz panicked. They each pressed an 'eject' button inside their action figure. Then, the heads opened up and the villains were immediately launched upward into the air. Dukey and Perry flew upward in order to capture their rivals and avoid the impending explosion.

Wacko and Doofenshmirtz opened up their parachutes and began floating down. Dukey caught Wacko in his action figure's hand and Perry caught Doofenshmirtz in his action figure's hand. The group of four watched as the Wackoshmirtz action figure was about to explode in the distance.

"...2, 1, 0," the robotic voice continued before Wackoshmirtz exploded into thousands of tiny pieces.

"Dang it. One of these days, I gotta nix that idea," Doofenshmirtz grumbled.

Dukey and Perry brought Wacko and Doofenshmirtz up to their level and glared at them.

"So, you got us. What're you gonna do, send us to prison?" Wacko asked. "My lawyers will get us out!"

"Nope," Dukey answered. "I got a better idea."

Dukey, Perry, Wacko & Doofenshmirtz were now at Sunshine Happy Kiddie Day Camp. Wacko and Doofenshmirtz were tied up with their parachutes and were laying in a sandbox that was surrounded by a bunch of kids. Dukey and Perry were outside of their action figures and were standing outside the day camp, watching the villains as they were about to receive their punishment.

"NOOOOO!" Wacko and Doofenshmirtz shouted in despair.

"Not this place again!" Wacko cried.

"I have a life-scarring backstory involving this place!" Doofenshmirtz cried.

"What? It's just day camp," Dukey commented. He and Perry high-fived each other.

"Let's play with the funny short man and his tall friend!" one of the kids exclaimed.

"Yeah!" all the kids cheered as they tackled Wacko and Doofenshmirtz.

"CURSE YOU, DUKEY THE DOG!" Wacko shouted in defeat.

"AND CURSE YOU, PERRY THE PLATYPUS!" Doofenshmirtz shouted in defeat.

Hugh, Sissy & Candace arrived back at the Test house and got off the bike.

"We're here," Candace announced. "The skate park should still be in the backyard."

"It better not be," Hugh replied angrily as he stormed inside the house.

"I hope it is," Sissy said. "I don't wanna lose that bet."

Sissy and Candace followed Hugh inside the house and into the kitchen where the backyard entrance was.

"I'm home!" Hugh called out as he opened the door and walked outside. "You kids have a lot of-" Hugh noticed the backyard was empty and went from angry to confused. "-explaining to do."

Sissy and Candace entered the backyard and noticed it was empty.

"The skate park's gone?" Sissy asked in disbelief. "How'd they get rid of it so fast?"

"It doesn't matter," Candace replied. "They're gonna get busted anyway for building it."

Hugh, Sissy & Candace walked over to Johnny, Susan, Mary, Gil, Phineas & Ferb, who were standing under the tree.

"Hey, Dad," Johnny greeted.

"Hi, Dad," Susan and Mary greeted in unison.

"Hey, Mr. Test," Phineas greeted.

"What's up, Mr. T?" Gil greeted.

"I saw that skate park and I want answers," Hugh ordered. He pointed at Susan and Mary while asking the next question. "Did you girls build it?"

"No, Phineas and Ferb built it," Susan answered. "They just used our construction drones."

"I find that hard to believe. Phineas and Ferb are too young to be building a skate park,"

"So are we, Dad," Mary countered, regarding Susan and herself. "They're almost the same age as we are. We're just older."

"True," Hugh agreed. He pointed at Phineas and Ferb while asking the next question. "So, you two really did build it?"

"I'm the one who talked them into it, Dad," Johnny admitted, not wanting Hugh to get mad at Phineas and Ferb. "I wanted a real skate park like the one in Thrasher Grind."

"Okay, that I believe. I dunno how you got rid of the skate park so fast but at least, you got rid of it,"

"So, are they busted?" Candace asked.

"No. No, they're not," Hugh answered.

"Why not?"

"They did what I told them to do. I wanted the skate park gone by the time I got back and they made it happen,"

"But they built the skate park in the first place," Candace argued.

"Oh, yeah. My kids do stuff like that all the time," Hugh mentioned.

"They do?"

"Sure! Whenever Susan and Mary invent something, Johnny always steals the invention and causes trouble with it,"

"And you're okay with that?" Candace questioned in disbelief.

"I get upset sometimes but I'm used to it," Hugh admitted. "As long as they clean up their mess before dinner and no one gets hurt - no one got hurt, right?"

"Right," Phineas confirmed. "We had plenty of helmets and protective gear."

"Then, they're good,"

Sissy and Candace groaned. Johnny, Susan & Mary were glad they weren't in trouble.

"I really thought we had 'em this time," Candace complained.

"You lucked out, Test. I'll be back with my video games later," Sissy told Johnny before leaving the backyard.

"I'm glad you kids played outside and made new friends for once instead of playing video games and experimenting in the lab all day," Hugh commented. "The skate park was dangerous but I'll admit it was impressive."

Dukey and Perry entered the backyard. Dukey barked and Perry chattered.

"Oh, there you are, Dukey," Johnny said.

"Oh, there you are, Perry," Phineas said.

"And look at that. Even Dukey made a new friend. Well, I'm off to make dinner," Hugh said before going back inside the house.

"Don't think you two are off the hook just yet. I'm still gonna tell Mom about the skate park when we get home," Candace told Phineas and Ferb before going back inside the house.

"Today was awesome, dudes. We should do it again sometime. See you guys later," Gil said before leaving the backyard.

"Later, Gil," Johnny said.

"Bye, Gil," Susan and Mary said in unison.

"It was nice hangin' out with you," Phineas said.

"Hey, Phineas, you and Ferb haven't seen our lab yet," Mary mentioned.

"Want us to give you a tour?" Susan offered.

"Sure, that'd be great," Phineas replied. "You comin', Johnny?"

"You guys go ahead," Johnny replied. "I'll catch up in a minute."

Susan, Mary, Phineas & Ferb went back inside the house. Once they were gone, Mr. Black and Mr. White climbed out of the tree.

"So, how'd it go?" Mr. White asked.

"Great! We're off the hook and I won the bet. Candace is still gonna show her mom the skate park but I don't think we can do anything about that," Johnny explained. "Who knows? Maybe, she'll be cool with it."

"Maybe so," Mr. White agreed.

"The skate park's at your place now, right? Can me and Dukey come over and ride it?" Johnny asked.

"Sure thing, Johnny," Mr. Black replied.

"Awesome!" Johnny cheered. "Thanks for all your help today, guys."

"No problem. We're glad you didn't get busted," Mr. Black said.

"Me, too," Johnny agreed. "I'm gonna head inside now. You comin', Dukey?"

"You go ahead," Dukey replied. "I'll catch up in a minute."

Johnny went back inside the house. Once he was gone, Perry stood up and put his fedora on.

"How was the mission?" Mr. Black asked.

"Great! We beat the villains and left them at that day camp Wacko hates. They'll be there for a while but they did destroy most of the town," Dukey explained.

"That figures," Mr. White replied. "I guess our work here's done then. You two have a good rest of the day."
