AN: Hello all, sorry to say this is not an actual update. It's been a really long time since I have touched this one and I'm sorry about that.
If you've read this fic before you might notice it is much shorter and you may have a sense of deja vu. I will explain, I promise.
As much as I love my other works this is the one I'm most passionate about, and I feel it deserves the best. That's why since I feel I've learned so much as a writer in the time since I started "Following the Briar Path" nearly two years ago, I have decided to rework it from the ground up.
Don't worry, the basic plot and setting will be the same, but I feel my execution with this one was poor and the writing was sloppy. I will not be posting this as a new fic, rather I will be editing what I have written up to this point. Some chapters I will be deleting and reuploading so you can still look for updates, it's not deja vu, and once I've had my grubby hands on things the plot will progress again.
I'm a softie and I don't want to lose the nice comments I've gotten.
Thank you for those who have stuck with this story, I believe it can be great once I tweak it. And thank you for your feedback and criticism. It's why instead of discarding this story I have set out to make it something better. This is the first fic I've gotten constructive criticism on and I can't thank you enough for letting me know your thoughts. I welcome both good and bad.
