"Fire!" Momo(15 years old) said as she pulled a catapult, releasing a target in the air. Izuku made a fire ball and shot it at the target.. The target was disintegrated. Deku's hair was glowing orange but soon turned back to normal. The fire symbol on his left arm faded. As Izuku got older, he learned that he could store the element and symbols that appeared on his left arm. When the symbol disappears, he needs to refuel it. He tried to hold his elements into his punches but it always released in a form of a ranged attack.
Him and Momo also grew closer as they got older. They couldn't see each other everyday because she lived further than him and when they were apart, they messaged each other, unknown to each other they had a crush on each other. They also decided to work on stamina and learn martial arts because something Izuku pointed out at a comic book store.
Flashback.
Izuku and Momo were visiting a comic book store, one of Izuku's favorite pastimes. Momo also likes hero comics, especially marvel heroes. She found most of their powers unique and strange. Her favorite hero was probably Iron-man, she could relate to being rich and intelligent but what impressed her was that he used his money to make high tech armor. "Momo-chan, look at this."
Momo turned to her friend and saw him holding a DC comic. She wasn't a fan of the comics. She thought they were a little too dark for her taste. She walked over to him and he was looking into a Batman comic. "What is it, Izuku-kun?"
"I found a way to make you stronger alongside your quirk." Izuku said. He then shows her the hero of batgirl.
"Ok but what am I looking at? She's quirkless and uses gadgets to fight." Momo said.
"Momo, your quirk can create all these gadgets, smoke bombs, throwing disks, a staff, a taser and so on. What I was thinking was you could learn martial arts to go with your quirk and learn some stealth movement. You're also smart enough to figure out any problem like a detective." Izuku explained.
Momo blushed at the compliment and smiled. "That's a swell idea, plus I won't be totally defenseless. But only if you do it too."
"How will that help me? My quirk dishes out range attacks." Izuku asked.
"Well like me, you won't be defenseless and I was hoping we could take the class together. You don't want to?" Momo said, with sadness in her voice. Izuku started to worry.
"Of course I would, it'll be fun." Izuku said, responding with haste.
Flashback end.
Izuku and Momo ended up going to a dojo that was owned by the No.5 hero edgeshot. Izuku learned kung-fu tiger style (Tiger style for those who don't know, they attack their opponent giving them no room to cover.) Izuku chose this style because he felt this style suited him, he was toned and fast, so it would work, he was 3rd degree brown. Momo learned tai-chi because she was flexible and agile. Plus with her flexibility she can turn the opponent moves back on them, she was 2nd degree brown. She was faster than Midoriya, while he was stronger. They also worked on their stamina by jogging, swimming and yoga.
Right now they headed to a cafe to have a cup of coffee but unfortunately they ran into the one person that was a pain in the ass. "What are you doing here nerd?"
Izuku and Momo turned to Bakugoa. Izuku signed and Momo just pinched her temples. "As you can see, Momo and I were just hanging out."
"Tsch, shouldn't you be working on your quirk? Especially since your quirk is weak compared to mine." Bakugo taunted.
"That's inaccurate Bakugo, Izu-kun quirk makes him versatile for any situation. Also to use elements is powerful itself. There's no reason for you to hide your jealousy with your arrogance." Momo stated.
"What did you say, ponytail? Deku is not better than me. I can prove it right now." Bakugo said, his hand crackling.
"You know it's against the rules to use our quirks against each other in a violent manner. Don't you want to be a hero?" Izuku asked. Bakugo mumble something about stupid nerds and walked away. "What does he have against me?"
"I wish I knew, now come on. We have a cafe shop to go to. I can taste their caramel latte now." Momo said, dragging Izuku excitedly. After their mini date and walking Momo to her limo, Izuku decided to head home. But on his way, he saw an explosion coming from the city, his instincts taking over, he dashed.
When he arrived at the scene, he saw buildings on fire and a sludge villain attacking. There were three heroes there trying to control the crowd but what surprised him was the fact that Bakugo was trapped within the village grasp. 'I see, he's using Katsuki explosions to create the fire but since he's made out of sludge..' "Kamui-san, I'm about to soften him up, can you please pull out the boy!?" Izuku asked the wood hero.
The wood hero didn't know what to do but the boy seemed like he had a plan so he nodded. Midoriya started to glow dark blue and shot water out his hands at the sludge villain. The sludge villain's grasp on Bakugou slipped. Kamui realized the water was liquifying the sludge. Kamui stretched wood from his finger and grabbed Bakugou but the villain was still holding on. "He is still holding on to the kid, young man! Can you create a little more water?" Kamui asked Midoriya.
"I can try, but we might need a little more help." Izuku responded.
"Well it's a good thing I AM HERE!" All might said, appearing out of nowhere. The #1 hero sent a shockwave from his fist, blowing the villain away. What Midotiya didn't know was that All Might was witnessing the whole thing and that moment would become the greatest moment of his life.
"What? You said I have to eat your hair?" Midoriya asked the number 1# hero. After saving Katsuki, All might offer the boy his quirk to inherit. Of course Izuku accepted but eating a piece of hair was weird. Izuku gulped and ingested the hair.
"All right, Midoriya. Seeing that you already completed some physical exercise before we'll amp it up. You're going to clean this beach and build more muscle to become stronger, that way you can handle my quirk better. Speaking of, what is your quirk?"
"I call it 'Element Absorb'. Depending on what I eat, I gain the highest natural or related element." Izuku answered.
"What do you mean highest natural or related? All Might asked.
"Well, when I ate some spicy food, I was able to use fire and there was this one time I ate something so sour, somehow I gained power over electricity. I can also store it for later use but if I run out, I have to eat" Izuku answered.
"Like a car with gas… Have you tried absorbing the natural elements?"
All Might asked.
Izuku's eyes widened. "Actually no..hmm but it's hard to find most of the natural sources besides." Izuku's eyes widened. He closed his eyes and started to suck in the air. He started to flicker silver a bit and soon he was glowing bright silver. He opened his eyes and smirked. "I guess it worked."
"Looks like we have to test it later." All Might said as the two began their training.
U.A Exam Location.
"Looks like I finally made it." Izuku said with excitement. "I can't wait to get into the school, especially to see Momo.
"Outta my way Deku." Izuku turned to the voice and saw Katsuki.
"Bakugo." Izuku responded.
"Don't stand in front of me or I'll kill you." Bakugo threaten.
"Good luck with that. Try not to blow yourself up when I take first place." izuku responded with a challenge.
"Listen here fuck face, I will take first place." Bakugo said, glaring at the green hair.
"Sure." Izuku said walking away, causing Katsuki to seethed.
As Izuku was walking, someone bumped into him. "Oops, sorry." Izuku turned around and saw a cute girl behind him, rubbing her forehead.
"Are you ok?" Izuku asked.
"Yeah, I was distracted. To be honest I'm kind of nervous." the girl said.
"I can understand. Same here. All we can do is try our best." Izuku said.
"Hmm, you're right. Anyway, nice meeting you." the girl said before walking away. Izuku had a warm smile as he watched the girl walk away.
" I'm glad there are some nice people."
U.A high-school Entrance Exam.
"This is amazing. U.A really likes to go all out." Midoriya said, standing outside the gate of the faux battle ground. 'If I remember, there are three types of enemies. Depending on the enemies I defeat, depends on how many points I receive.' Izuku thought to himself. "Huh, there's the girl from earlier." Izuku said as he saw the girl he met outside the building. "I guess I'll go say hi."
He was about to walk to her until he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Excuse me but what are you doing?" Izuku turned around and saw a guy with glasses holding his shoulder. The guy looked at the girl before shifting his glare back at Izuku. "The girl is trying to concentrate, are you taking the exam to interfere with everyone else?"
Izuku narrowed his eyes, unconsciously activating a quirk causing his body to heat up. The guy pulled his hand back shaking it. "Are you accusing me of sabotage? That's like calling me a villain. Plus what kind of guy walks up to a stranger with so much authority. If you must know, I was going to say hi since I met her earlier. To be labeled as a villain is not something that makes me happy."
"Ah no, I just thought it would be rude to disrupt someone else." the boy said, nervously.
Izuku sighs and relaxes. "Sorry, I just know someone who wants to be a hero but all he cares about is winning. You just approached me wrong, I'm just as nervous so please refrain from the scolding. You should smile more." Izuku said before walking away, stunning the boy.
"Okay, start!" Everyone turned to President Mic. "What's wrong? There are no countdowns in real fights! Run, run. The die has been cast, you know" everyone was confused, didn't know what he meant.
Izuku's eyes widened and put his hand on the ground. His hair and eyes started to glow orange, activating his flame mode then he shot fire out palms, pushing himself off the ground flying towards the first robot. He turned around and saw that no one moved. "HE MEANT THE TEST ALREADY STARTED!" Izuku yelled back.
Everyone else gasped and started rushing forward looking for a villain to take down. Izuku found the first villain and by its size it was a 1 pointer. He shot a stream of fire towards the villain, destroying it in the process. Izuku flew forward to look for the next villain and the next, continuing to defeat them.
"Interesting, the examiners haven't been informed of how many villains there are or the location. They have to lure them out and defeat them. The quirks are interesting. Information gathering to hather location, mobility quirk for any situation, and combat quirks. This is so fun." Nezu, the principal said.
"Doesn't this year seem promising?" a woman said.
"We don't know that yet. Their true test begins now." a teacher said, pressing a button.
"64 points." Izuku said. He looked around and saw the girl from earlier using her quirk to make the villains float and dropping them, destroying them in the process. The guy with the glasses from before was running fast and using powerful kicks to destroy the villain.
"Nani?" Izuku started to feel the ground shake and turned to the direction of the vibration. "The zero pointer." Izuku said, looking up at the giant robot hovering above. "I should get away." Izuku started to run along the class, still in his flame mode. The rest of the class began to run.
"Ow!" Izuku heard a cry and turned around. It was the girl from earlier trapped under some rubble. And to make matters worse, the zero pointer was right above her. Izuku clenched his fist and gritted his teeth.
"Ahhh!" Izuku ran towards the robot, activating Full Coil. Without him noticing, One For All was amplifying his Element Quirk. When he jumped towards the robot, condensed flames shot out of the bottom of his feet, making him fly faster like a rocket, fire covering his body and his hair turning to flames. He cocked back his fist as the flames circled his fist. ""METEOR SMASH!" Izuku yelled, punching the robot with his flaming fist, causing it to explode. His flames disappeared and he was falling from the sky, his arm fractured a bit. Right before he touched the ground, the girl from before smacked his cheek and used her gravity quirk to slow him down. Izuku collected himself and stood on the ground. After being free of the quirk, Izuku ran towards the girl, who was puking. "Are you ok?"
"Yea but what about you? Because of me, your points."
"Don't worry about it, as long as you are safe." Izuku said.
'I can't believe he gave up his points for her, knowing the situation and he had the most points. Even still, to make such a sacrifice. He didn't hesitate.' the boy with the glasses thought.
One week later.
"Izuku? Izuku?" Inko called her son.
"Huh, oh yes kaa-chan?" Izuku responded with no emotion in his eyes.
"I know you're upset but you can try another school." Inko said.
"Yeah…you're right but I was hoping to be in the same school as Momo-chan." Izuku said.
"I understand. But it's not the end of the world." Inko said.
"I know. I'm going to call Momo." Izuku said, walking to his room.
Once he entered the room, he pulled out his phone and dialed his friend's number. "Hello? Mo-chan."
"Izuku-kun? How was the exam? I bet you're in first place." Momo said excitedly.
"Yeah, about that. I didn't make it?" Izuku said.
"Huh..but how? You were prepared and your quirk was strong." Momo said with disbelief in her voice.
"It's a long story. I'll tell you later. Don't really feel like talking about it."
"I understand. I'm here for you if you ever need me."
"Thank you." Izuku said, hanging up the phone.
"Izu-kun! Your results are here." his mom said behind the door, slipping it under the doorway. Izuku took the envelope and slowly opened it. Inside was a disk.
"I am here as a projection!" "All Might? But this is from U.A, right?"
"I had to do some paperwork that took some time, so I couldn't contact you. I'm sorry. Actually, I came to this town to work at U.A. Now listen, even if you passed the written exam, you got zero points. Of course that means you didn't pass." All Might said.
"I knew that." Izuku whispered. "But it's frustrating."
"If that was all there was to it." All Might continued. "I am an entertainer, as well! First, take a look at this video! The girl Ochako Uraraka." In the Video it showed Uraka offering all her points to Izuku. Izuku began to tear up, he didn't want this. For someone to sacrifice their dream for him. "Your actions spur others to act. The entrance exam the other day was not graded only on villain points!"
"Even if you ask to, you cannot give him your points." President Mic told the girl. "Anyway, there's no reason to give him any, female listener!"
"How can a hero course reject people who save others and do the right thing? Call that lip service? Bring it on! This is a job that requires risking one's life to put that lip service into practice! Rescue points: 60 points added to you 64 points bring you to 124! Ochako Uraraka, 45 points. You both passed!"
"This is crazy!" Izuku responded.
All Might reached out his hand towards Izuku. "Come, Young Midoriya." Izuku began to cry. "This is your hero academia!"
Izuku wiped his tears and gave a warm smile. "Hai!" izuku said and raced out of his room. A minute later, the whole apartment could hear two people crying for hours.
"Class 1-a? Ah here it is." Izuku before opening the door. He saw the guy with the glasses yelling at Bakugou because he had his shoes on his desk. Apparently the guy was named Iida and was the third best student after him and Momo. Speaking of, he spotted Momo talking to a pink girl and an invisible one. Izuku quietly snuck up behind her and placed his hands over her eyes.
"Nuh, what who's..?" Momo was about to ask until she turned around and her face lit up like a star. "Izu-kun!" she squealed and gave him a hug, which he returned. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, we're apparently classmates. You didn't check the rank list? I'm number 2." Momo paused and took out the list and he was right. She gave him another hug but then pulled back with a pout.
"You said you weren't going to be here." Momo said. Izuku chuckled and explained what happened. Momo sighs and shakes her head disapprovingly. "Izuku-kun, I could've told you that you would've passed because of saving a person."
"Well, you are the smarter one of the two of us." Izuku said, rubbing the back of his head.
"Don't be modest, you're better at being analytical than I am." Momo.
"Oh, you're the guy who blew up the big robot. You were amazing, dude! By the way, my name is Mina Ashido." the pink girl said. Bakugo overheard this and glared at Izuku. 'That fucking nerd. He better not think he's better than me.'
"Izuku Midoriya." Izuku shook Mina's hand.
"Hehe, I'm Toru Hagakure." an invisible girl said. "You were so cool, very heroic."
"I'll say, hello. My name is Tenya Iida. I'm sorry how I presented myself at the exam. I'm from Soumei Junior High." The boy with glasses said.
"It's all good, you were looking out for Ururaka. I'm Izuku Midoriya."
"I thought you were being disrespectful and I assumed you wouldn't take it seriously since you didn't arrive with your school uniform but rest assured my opinion of you had changed." Tenya said. He then noticed Momo next to him. "Hello, my name is…"
"Tenya Iida, I overheard. My name is Momo Yaoyorozu. Nice to meet you." Momo said respectfully.
"Likewise." Iida responded before turning his gaze back to Midoriya. "I have to hand it to you Midoriya. You figured out the truth of the exam, didn't you? It was the reason you destroyed the zero-pointer and saved the girl, right? I have to admit you are the better of the two of us."
"You're wrong. I did it so the girl wouldn't be crushed. She needed help and I had to make a choice. Her life was way more important than passing a test. I found out later on that it was a ruse." Izuku admitted. Everyone in the class besides the ones who knew turned to Midoriya with a shocked expression. They heard of someone destroying the huge villain but didn't realize it was him.
Katsuki glared at Izuku like he was trying to make him explode. 'That fucking nerd is gettin stronger. I'll make sure to kill you deku.'
"Hello everyone." they turned to Ururaka, who just walked in the class. She turned to Midoriya and rushed towards him and gave him a hug. "Deku-kun, you made it!
"Uraraka-san, you made it! Thank you for offering your points- did you just call me Deku?" Midoriya asked in a hurt tone.
"Yeah, after the exam. The mean kid kept calling you that." Ochako answered innocently.
"That's a name he used to make fun of me. It means useless." Midoriya said.
"Really? I thought it meant, you can do it! It seems to fit you."
"Huh, never thought of it like that. Well, I guess you can call me that since you're using it as a cheer." Izuku said.
Momo approached the two and bowed to Uraraka. "I heard what you did. Thanks for offering your points to Midoriya. My name is Momo Yayaoroza."
"Ochako Ururaka, hope we get along." Izuku smiled at the two girls' interaction until he looked behind Uraraka and saw someone behind her in a sleeping bag.
"This is the hero course. It took eight seconds before you became quiet." the man said.
'A teacher? Which means he's a pro-hero.' Izuku thought.
"I'm your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. Nice to meet you." The teacher said, reaching into his sleeping bag and pulling out a gym uniform. "I know this is sudden but put on and go onto the field."
"A quirk assessment test? But what about the entrance ceremony? The orientation?" Uraraka asked.
"If you're going to be a hero, you don't have time for leisurely events. You kids have been doing this since junior high, physical exercise without your quirks. Bakugo, you finish with the highest score on the physical exam. What was your highest meter?" Aizawa asked.
"67 meters." Bakugo answered.
"Trt it with your quirk." Bakugo grabbed a ball and positioned himself.
"DIE!" Bakugo yelled as he threw the ball with an explosion quirk.
Aizawa held up the meter and it said 750.2.
"This looks fun!" Mina commented.
"Fun? You're supposed to train as heroes for three years. This is not a game. How about this, the person in last place will be expelled." Everyone gasps in fear but Momo and Izuku. They looked at each other and smiled. They knew he was bluffing but kept it to themselves.
Test one: the 50 meter dash.
Tenya Iida: 3.04 seconds.
Tsuyu Asui: 5.58 seconds.
Mashirao Ojiro: 5.49 seconds.
Ochako Uraraka: 7.18 seconds.
Yuga Aoyama: 5.51 seconds.
Mina Ashido: 5.25 seconds.
Bakugo and Izuku were next. 'I'll use 25%. Full Cowl.' Izuku said, activating his quirk. Momo saw this and was confused.
'What is this? Green lightning, is this from his lightning quirk?' Momo asked herself. When both boys ran, Izuku took off at blinding speed and made it across the line in 2.46 seconds. Bakugo was 4.41. The ashy blonde seethed in jealousy at this. At the end of the dash Mineta came in last place.
The next test was grip strength. Izuku won again by crystallizing his arm after he ate a jawbreaker and crushing the machine. After that was the standing long jump, he tied with Bakugo, Uraraka, and Yuga since they used their quirk to keep themselves off the ground. The side step, surprisingly he only lost to Mineta who used his balls to bounce himself side to side fast. The ball throw was the final test. 'Which quirk should I use for this? If I could combine like I did in the entrance exam but I don't know how I did it. Maybe I can try this.."
Izuku took his stance and crystallized his right arm then activated one for all 100%, confusing the class. Momo saw this and was more confused than before. 'What? He wasn't able to activate two elements at once. What's going on? I'll ask him later.'
Izuku threw the ball with all his strength and thanks to full cowl, he created a blast of wind. The crystal on his arm broke and the ball was sent flying. His hair turned light blue and he shot a blast of wind towards the ball, boosting it further into the air. Once it landed, Aizawa looked at the meter and it said 904. 2. Izuku's arm was fractured a bit.
'This is different from last time. When I used full cowl with my fire, I didn't take any damage. What's different?' Izuku asked himself. He had a long way to go.
