Mario is unsure if he is a hero for Mushroom Kingdom but his brother is in danger due to the kingdom's enemy, who is holding him hostage. If he can prove he's the hero they need, Mario has to go through his own identity to understand and hopefully his own life. (Rated T for violence)

When he does, he finds out things about his brother he never knew about, including a very dark, very bad secret that Ludwig has been keeping to himself for years.

Yeah, the Smithy Gang is back, but they're the least of their worries now.

The kingdoms are restless as everybody feels the war coming. At the same time Mario and Peach's relationship seems to be on an all time low, having arguments constantly. Luigi, who moved into the castle a couple of months ago per request of his brother, was just happy to be out of his lonely mansion, but regrets it soon. Can Peach's dear friend help the bunch? Or is all hope lost?

Ollivander sighed. Was school always this boring? Daffodil, Rosalina, Mario, Olexa, and Luigi didn't think so. Junior also wouldn't stop kicking Ollie's shins under the desk.
