Enjoy and Review!
Chapter 50: Be Afraid of the Dark
"Previously on Priestess 10…"
-Persona Wolf-
BOOM!
Another bolt of purple lightning struck the ground behind Ben, snapping him out of his daze. The boy turned around to see a massive werewolf staring him down. Ben stared at it with wide eyes.
"The NASA tracking station on the north ridge was just destroyed by some sort of werewolf." Wes said as the old men approached the kids. "It almost ripped apart the guards there."
"What did it want?" Kenji asked.
"It took some satellite equipment."
"And it took that receiver you had here. What do you think it wants?" Ben mentioned.
"Judging by the pile of scrap we saw back at the canyon and that the beast was building something that means these aren't just random attacks." Kenji said. "The werewolf is intelligent."
-Persona Wraps-
Bella was about to move when something sent a chill down her and Alice's spines. The girls turned around to see what appeared to be a glowing purple mummy approaching them.
Max led the group to the bottom floor where the reading was at its strongest. "I say there's a big chunk of Corrodium buried right here, beneath the concrete." Max said.
The mummy wrapped bandages around the Petrosapien and smashed him into the wall. It then grabbed the Corrodium, adding it to the two other pieces it already had.
-A Time for Talking-
Kenji pulled out a folded newspaper and tossed it on the table. "Open it to the second page." Naoto does as requested and opens the newspaper for all of them to see. The teens and kids gasp loudly at the Newsline and photo.
"BANCROFT ACADEMY CLOCK TOWER DISAPPEARS!?"
Kenji finally got what Yu was getting to. "The werewolf was building a satellite, that's why it kept taking those parts. It wants to send a signal, but to where?"
"To space. That's the only reason I can think of for stealing NASA equipment." Yu answered. "I'm guessing it wants to send a message into space, but then you'd wonder why the Corrodium would be needed unless you wanted to transport it!"
"That's it!" Yukiko exclaimed. "The werewolf wants to send Corrodium into space, but that's impossible since we buried the mummy with the Corrodium underground."
-The Return-
"Dr. Viktor! I am your superior!" Shueman exclaimed, not tolerating the disrespect.
Viktor turned from the controls, glaring down at Shueman. "You have no idea how wrong you are." Suddenly several bandages wrapped around Shueman's body, trapping him. The mummy lifted him in the air as the werewolf made himself known as well.
"Take care of the boy! If those meddlesome girls try to get involved, kill them as well! I don't want anything interfering with our plans!" Viktor commanded the werewolf. It understood the order and jumped down to find the Tennysons.
"KYAAA!" Yukiko screamed as she was electrocuted from behind by purple electricity. The heiress fell to the dirt, her body hurt badly from the shocks.
"I was told of the Omnitrix, but you boy, are not the only one with the power to transform!" Dr. Viktor revealed as his body underwent a monstrous transformation. He now resembled Frankenstein's Monster, except a little more cybernetic, with dark brown robotic parts. His right eye was small, purple, and had no pupil while his left eye was scarred, round, bigger, and had a pupil. The lower parts of his arms were a little lighter than the rest of his body and he only wore his brown pants and shoes.
"Frankenstein's monster?" Naoto noticed the similarities.
"I don't know what you're planning, but it's over, Frankenfreak!" XLR8 declared.
Viktor smiled down at the three, unsettling them as he did so. "Oh, but it's not my plan. It's the Master's! IT ALWAYS WAS!" When the energy was zapped upwards, the heroes followed its direction and were shocked by what they saw.
The goop was disgustingly changing between shapes as the energy was trying to piece it back together correctly. The building slowly crumbled to pieces as the force of the power was becoming too much, a nightmarish laugh resounded through the building, and it was all too familiar to Yukiko and Ben.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA! I LIVE!" Ghostfreak declared, happily. His grotesque body almost made Naoto want to throw up. If anything, that thing was more terrifying to look at than a Shadow.
"GHOSTFREAK!?" Yukiko and XLR8 cried, horrified.
The Ectonurite stared down at them with hate that rivaled Vilgax. "No! I am not that repugnant nickname! My true name is…!"
"ZS'SKAYR!"
Zs'Skayr stared down at his most hated of foes. "You and I have a score to settle, Ben Tennyson!"
Ben, Yukiko, and Naoto stared, horrified at the nightmarish alien that loomed over them.
OP: Ancient Romantic by P-Maru Sama
Ancient Romantic!
(U! Ha! U! Ha!)
(U! Ha! U! Ha!)
A rotating shot of the Omnitrix comes into view before latching onto Ben's wrist. He's seen standing with Yukiko, Gwen, and Max in front of the Rustbucket.
For a split second the landscape around them glitches out as purple lighting cracks the sky above.
The miracle of humankind that I met at once was a loss if neither Edison nor Watson knew (Loss!)
Ben stands on top of a broken spaceship, staring out at the clear blue sky above him.
Below him was Yukiko, who stood in the shadows of the ship. Her eyes transfixed on her tarot card.
Mr. N was surprised at such a situation since the earth was created (Unexpected!)
Gwen walked past the two, her eyes focused on her spell book. She shut the book instantly, her eyes glowing with blue mana.
Max stood in the back and in his hands was a broken picture frame.
The ancient civilization and the school playground that I ran yesterday are all connected.
The scenery changed to Inaba. Yukiko is seen running through the town with the rest of the Investigation Team.
SHATTER!
Yukiko was now running around with the Tennysons. Ben, happily leading the charge with the Omnitrix ready.
SHATTER!
Yukiko was smiling brightly, her arms draped around Ben's chest as he proudly stood in front of her. His face is full of confidence and aspirations.
SHATTER!
Older versions of Ben, Yukiko, Gwen, Max, and Yu appeared. The Tennysons were standing around the married couple as Yukiko held a small blue bundle of blankets in her hands. She smiled warmly at her newborn baby.
The invitation to unravel the true nature of this romance is an initiation from ancient times.
Ben sat inside of a blue limousine. In front of him were both Igor and Maragret, the attendant holding a large blue book in her hands.
Sitting next to Ben was Yu, whose tarot card expanded into a blinding flash of light.
All members! Go in! Aye-aye!
Ben charged into battle first, slapping down the dial and transforming into Four Arms. Gwen came in next, hands glowing bright with mana. Yukiko summoned Sumeo-Okami, unleashing waves of fire. Max joined his grandkids, his own personal blaster ready to battle.
Let's dance in such an era! Dancing all right!
Yu appeared next with his sword drawn. Izanagi jumped out from behind him, his blade sparking with white electricity.
Naoto Shirogane dropped down in front of him with her gun pointed at the screen. Her Persona: Yamato-Takeru appeared next to her in a flash of light.
Rise Kujikawa descended downwards gracefully, with her eyes closed shut. Her Persona: Kanzeon had appeared behind Rise. Placing a red-colored headset over her user's eyes.
Rehabilitation! Introspection! I'll do it one after another! The past and the future are all mixed together!
Yukiko had her arms wrapped around Four Arms' neck as the two glided through a massive tornado. Four Arms loudly strummed his guitar.
Kenny and Lucky Girl stood back to back, facing off against an army of robots. The elder brother held a baseball bat in his hands, while Lucky Girl's hands vibrated with mana.
Collapse! Situation! Hurry up!
A familiar looking creature appeared dressed in shadows, its purple eye glistening with malicious fury.
The feelings of hundreds of millions of years are romantic over!
Three new aliens appeared on the screen. A Frankenstien's monster, a werewolf, and a mummy all stood in front of a large satellite. Above them the sun transformed into a massive purple eyeball.
March! Send! Do in! Do in Love! There is one love in any era!
The Rustbucket was speeding towards the satellite with its boosters activated. The Tennysons inside were determined to stop whatever was about to happen.
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, you can see!
Chie, Yosuke, Kanji, Teddie, Nanako, Rise, and Naoto held each letter as they flashed across the screen.
H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, you caught!
For the last remaining letters were each held by Ben's aliens as they flashed across the screen.
Ancient Romantic!
Yukiko fell through the air, unable to stop herself. Ben reached for her as fast as he could, his hand only inches from her's.
(U! Ha! U! Ha!)
(U! Ha! U! Ha!)
"BEN, RUN!"
Yukiko's shout was filled with fear and desperation, something that Ben recognized and didn't bother arguing with. He turned on his heels and bolted down the hall as fast as his feet could take him. Yukiko and Naoto prepared themselves for battle as Zs'Skayr descended towards Ben.
"Agidyne!"
"Megidola!"
The Ectonurite raised his hand, conjuring a gray scythe with a long silver blade. He twirled it before slicing through both attacks like they were butter, shocking both teenagers. "I will personally deal with you later, Amagi! My first priority is Tennyson!" Zs'Skayr turned to Viktor. "Kill her friend but leave Amagi alive! I want the honor of killing her personally after I take control of the Omnitrix!"
"Yes, Master!" Viktor followed the order, his body started brimming with purple static. The Ectonurite vanished through the floor to chase after Ben.
"NO!" Yukiko screamed. The plan was for her and Naoto to distract the two while Ben got away long enough for the watch to recharge. She would've chased after him if Naoto didn't grab her by the collar, pulling her out of the way of Viktor's devastating punch that caved in the floor beneath them.
"Yukiko-senpai! We have to focus here!" Naoto yelled.
"But Ben-"
"He'll figure something out! You said that, right!? Then trust in him to not get killed!" Naoto hissed through her teeth. After finding out what Zs'Skayr was intending to do with Ben, she was also scared for the boy, but it would do them no good to get killed here.
"Your friend is correct, child." Viktor stood to his full height. "However, that boy stands no chance against my Master and he will claim his revenge. But don't worry, he won't be alone in death!" Viktor declared and blasted a powerful electrical attack at the two.
BOOM!
Ben felt the impact of the explosion, the shockwave momentarily knocking him off his feet. He slid across the metal floor for a few seconds, before scrambling to his feet as a chill ran down his spine. Ben's body screamed at him to move, and thankfully he listened as a silver blade whizzed over his head, cutting off a few strands of his hair. The young boy saw Zs'Skayr looming over him with the scythe perched over his shoulder.
"What's wrong!? Aren't you glad to see me?" Zs'Skayr taunted.
"You wish, ghost-breath!" Ben responded before taking off. The boy grabbed onto a cable and swung through the base like Tarzan with Zs'Skayr hot on his trail. As he touched down on the opposite level, Ben grabbed a trash can and tossed it at his ghostly enemy. The scythe sliced through it with no issue, but the dirty contents inside blocked his vision.
"Boy! Haven't you learned by now that nothing can stop me!?" Zs'Skayr declared, tearing the trash from his vision.
Ben turned around and smiled when the Omnitrix dial popped up green. "Nothing except…!"
FLASH!
"Gray Matter!?" The Galvan cried. "Oh man, give me a break!"
"I'll do you one better and cut you in half!" Zs'Skayr brought down the scythe, but the nimble alien narrowly avoided the swipe. He ran as fast as he could and dove into an opening in the floor. The Ectonurite phased his head through the floor to find him, but the brat was nowhere in sight. "You can run, but you cannot hide from me!"
BOOM!
The ghostly alien turned around to see that Viktor was still fighting the Persona users. Yukiko had been knocked off the higher floor, and fell onto the catwalk. Naoto dropped down after her as Viktor did the same, landing a few feet away from the girls.
"Megidola!" Yamato-Takeru's sword unleashed a heavy almighty attack at the Transylvanian monster. Viktor's fists bashed the attack away with no effort.
"Did you think that would work, child!?"
"No… but this will!" Yukiko exclaimed. "Maragidyne!" A multitude of fireballs came flying at Viktor, forcing the Frankenstein alien to unleash an electrical attack to try and match, but the flames were stronger than he thought. They collided with him, blowing his half of the catwalk to pieces and sending him flying across the building.
Naoto felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up and ducked in time to avoid the scythe that would've removed her head. She hissed at the close call and turned on the ghost, her gun pointed right at him. "Tempest Slash!" Her Persona's blade clashed with the scythe, shocking the Ectonurite.
"You're the same as Amagi!" He hissed with pure venom.
"Of course! No body snatching for you, freak!" Naoto responded.
"No matter, your deaths are an unavoidable fate!"
Yukiko pointed her fan at Zs'Skayr, matching his look of disgust and hatred. "No… just yours! Maragidyne!" The ghost alien was forced to turn intangible to avoid getting hit by the attack. The explosion that occurred destroyed the rest of the catwalk, enveloping the massive interior of the old ship.
Back with the other Tennysons, the spaceship continued to travel through space, heading towards a space station that floated near the Earth's atmosphere. "Shouldn't we be looking for the Corrodium?" Gwen asked.
"Easier to bring the entire kitten caboodle back to Earth than waste time searching for a few rocks in an old rocketship." Max answered. He and his kids climbed up the ladder that led to the control room of the ship.
"At least we know where I got my brains from." Gwen smiled.
"What about me?" Kenny asked.
"You're smarter than Ben, take some pride in that." Gwen shrugged.
"Trust me, that's not impressive enough to take pride in." Kenny sighed. He took one of the seats in the ship, folding his arm. "Do you even remember how to fly a spaceship, Grandpa?"
"It's just like riding a bicycle." He said before muttering under his breath. "A hundred ton, twenty thousand miles per hour, high tech bicycle…"
The three were still unaware of the mummy that loomed behind them.
Back in the old space base, Zs'Skayr and Viktor were searching for the Tennysons and Naoto. The Trasnslyanian monster looked up at his master. "Why are we wasting time searching for these little pests when the master plan is close to becoming reality!?" That was when he realized his blunder in addressing his master in a disrespectful tone and questioning his orders. The silver scythe scratched the metal floor as Zs'Skayr approached his underling. "M-Master! NOOOO!"
POW!
He was backhanded with the back of the scythe, flying into the opposite wall. The ghost alien grabbed his underling, bashing his skull against the metal floor before pinning him against the wall. The scythe's blade inches from his neck. "You fool! Those little pests could ruin everything I've planned! Do as I say or…" The scythe slashed diagonally through his chest, not deep enough to kill him but enough to leave a scar. Purple blood oozed from the wound and Viktor fell to the floor. "...Or that wound will look like a paper cut compared to what else I could do!"
As the two had their spat, Gray Matter was hidden underneath them. "Master plan? I don't like the sound of that." He turned to make his leave until an invisible force grabbed him, dragging him through the floors of the abandoned ship. The Galvan was about to scream until a golden hand flicked him in the head to shut up. That was when he noticed that it wasn't Zs'Skayr who had him, but Sumeo-Okami. He was eventually dropped out of the Persona's hand and into Yukiko. "Yukiko?" He was then smothered into her chest.
"Oh, Ben! I'm so happy to see you're alright!" Yukiko whispered with joy. His muffled cries went unheard by her.
Naoto coughed into her hands. "I don't mean to be rude, but we have bigger things to take care of." She broke them out of their family hug to bring their attention to the monitors behind them. Gray Matter removed himself from Yukiko and jumped onto the computer. He examined it for a few moments before gasping.
"I can use this to communicate with Grandpa and the others to let them know what's happening. And I don't like the looks of what these guys are planning." Gray Matter informed them.
"Then, get to it." Naoto said.
"You could try saying 'please'." Gray Matter replied.
"Yo! Earth to Grandpa! Come in, Grandpa!"
"Ben?" Max and the kids were surprised to see the three appear on the screen. Gwen jumped forward in her seat.
"If you're checking in on us, don't bother! We're totally handling things up here! We don't need your help!" The scorn in Gwen's voice made Gray Matter wince briefly, but he brushed it off just as quickly.
"That's good to hear, but you guys aren't in a good position either." Naoto said.
"Wait, why's that?" Kenny asked.
"It has to deal with what old bolt neck is planning. He plans to project a Corrodium beam from the space station to the transceiver in New Mexico." Gray Matter explained.
Max pieced the rest of it together. "Which will then spread it across the entire Earth!"
Kenny gulped, not really liking the sound of that at all. Maybe, he was a bit out of his depth here. "T-that does explain what all that satellite equipment was for, but is that really enough to hit the entire planet?"
"It wouldn't be instant, but a beam like that won't take long to spread all over the globe. It'll mutate all human and animal life on Earth." Max answered.
"That isn't all." Yukiko shook her head.
"There's more!?" Gwen groaned.
"Yeah, with the sun gone, Ghostfreak will be at full power all the time!" Gray Matter dropped the bomb about his rogue alien's return. The three Tennysons in space eyes went wide after hearing that he returned.
"GHOSTFREAK!?" They cried.
"Or by his actual name, Zs'Skayr. Turns out he was the brains of this entire operation, leading the monster trio to gather the necessary parts for his grand plan." Naoto explained.
A beeping in Max's suit stopped her from continuing. "Hold on a second, Naoto." He pulled out his Corrodium analyzer. "That's strange… according to this, the Corrodium inside this ship is moving."
"How could it be moving?" Gwen asked.
"Unless…?" Kenny turned around, his pupils shrunk. "OH, CRU-" He was grabbed by the bandages first, shocking everyone else. Gwen and Max were grabbed by the mummy as well, getting pulled back down into the interior of the ship. "AAAAHHHH!"
"Grandpa! Gwen! Kenny!" Yukiko screamed, feeling helpless in their time of need.
RUMBLE!
The building started to shake, the machinery in the center of the abandoned ship base was descending towards their position. "We need to move!" Naoto hissed. Gray Matter ducked down into the computer's interior as the girls raced off to avoid getting detected.
Zs'Skayr and Viktor arrived at the lower levels, the Ectonurite phasing through every object present to find his prey. Viktor got off of their project, which was a massive rocket thruster.
"Come on, think! There's gotta be something in all this junk that'll help." Gray Matter searched around to find anything useful. "Aha!" He exclaimed once he figured out a plan. The little alien started to build his own replica of his grandfather's sun gun.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
"No!" Gray Matter cried.
FLASH!
Viktor turned around, having heard Ben's detransformation. The Translvanian alien marched to the computer, tearing it open and finding Ben inside. "Ugh… stupid watch!" Ben groaned, grabbing his sun gun before Viktor noticed it. "Uh… I don't suppose you consider becoming a good guy, would ya?" Obviously, Viktor didn't and grabbed him by his wrist.
"Agidyne!" Viktor was blasted back away from the boy as Yukiko and Naoto made themselves known to the two Halloween aliens. "Keep your disgusting zombie hands off my cousin!"
Everyone was so focused on what was happening that nobody noticed the Omnitrix glowing yellow.
Kenny held onto Gwen the best he could as Max held onto him. The ex-plumber's hand was gripping the ladder with all his might to keep them away from the mummy. "C-can't… k-keep this… up!"
Kenny got an idea. "I don't suppose you still have that pocket knife, Grandpa!?"
Max realized what his grandson was planning. "My utility belt! First one on the left!" The boy reached into it, grabbing the Plumber tool his grandfather had used earlier. "Gwen, lean back!" His little sister listened, leaning her head back as Kenny activated the laser blade feature on it. He sliced through the bandages like butter, causing the mummy to cry out in pain. Kenny's efforts were more than enough to lessen some of the bindings holding them.
"Good thinking, bro!" Gwen felt pride swell up in her chest. She raised up her hands, preparing to use her spells. "My turn!"
"But your spells don't work, Gwen!" Kenny reminded her.
"They do, but not in the way they should! Emocha Objectia!" Gwen's suit inflated like a balloon once again. Kenny released her as an invisible force sent her flying into the mummy, the undead alien unable to stop the bloated Gwen from banging it around like pinball. Unfortunately, her family wasn't as safe from her out of control magic; Gwen crashed right into them, knocking them all into the airlock.
Gwen's suit deflated. "Well… at least I bought us some time in this closet. Who needs Ben and his alien losers."
"Uh… us?" Kenny's reply earned him a scalding glare.
Max was the only one who didn't look calm. "Gwen! This isn't a closet, it's an airlock!" The two realized just how screwed they were when the mummy pulled the lever to the airlock, releasing the three of them into the cold vacuum of space. If the mummy had a mouth, it would definitely have a smug look right now. The creature turned away from the retreating Tennysons to continue its mission.
Had it continued paying them attention, it would've seen that the Tennysons weren't lost in the void of space but were instead on the exterior of the station. Apparently, the Plumber suits were capable of magnetism. "Not very stylish, but you gotta love these Plumber suits." Gwen said.
"Yeah, but they won't last long in zero atmosphere. We need to find another way back inside the station, and fast." Max reminded them of their situation. They began walking on the station's surface to find an entrance.
"RAH!" Viktor blasted a bolt of voltage at the girls. Naoto acted quickly, firing a bullet at the incoming wave.
"Tempest Slash!" Her Persona's sword collided with the attack, stopping it from reaching them. Zs'Skayr appeared in between them and Ben, swinging his scythe down to force the girls to separate from each other. Which left him wide open for…
BLAST!
"GAAAAAAHHHHH!" Zs'Skayr's blood curdling scream erupted as Ben blasted him in the back with his sun gun.
"How does the spotlight taste, freak!?" Ben taunted. The Ectonurite ran away to avoid getting burnt to death by the weapon. "A little gift from my close personal friend, Gray Matter!"
"Benjamin, I can't believe I'm saying this, but you're a genius." Naoto smiled.
Ben smirked. "Ah, y'know, I'm just that awesome!" He twirled the gun on his finger.
"You insolent brat!" Viktor's shout brought their attention back to him. "You will pay for what you've done to my master!" Viktor shot a thunderbolt at Ben in hopes of incinerating him, however Yukiko jumped in the way of the attack and summoned Sumeo-Okami. The Persona's sword took the blast head-on, pushing Yukiko back as she fought to keep herself steady.
"Yukiko!" Ben cried, not wanting to watch her get electrocuted for a second time.
Naoto pointed her gun directly at Viktor, her eyes shining with determination. A single crack was heard as her tarot card shattered to pieces. "Vorpal Blade!" Yamato-Takeru unleashed his blade in a flurry of strikes that Viktor never saw coming. The Frankenstien's monster was attacked on all sides, crying out in pain as multiple cuts appeared all over his body as Naoto's Persona continued his relentless assault. The last strike sent the Translvanian monster crashing into the massive space thruster, the components shocking him and worsening his wounds. When it eventually stopped, Viktor's body wasn't moving.
"Is he… dead?" Ben asked.
"No. No monster like him could die from something like that." Naoto answered.
"Ugh…"
"Yukiko!" Ben rushed over to her, concern written all over his face. "Are you okay?"
She patted his head softly. "Yes, just a bit tired." She said before standing back up. "We need to focus on getting into space before Ghostfreak gets back or he wakes up." Ben looked at all of the old ship parts lying around and got an idea.
"I think I know what to do." Ben looked at the watch and pumped his fist when it was in the green. "Yes! Just give me someone I can use!"
FLASH!
"YES! Now, that's what I'm talking about!" Upgrade jumped down to the bottom and started merging the ship parts together.
"But, how are we supposed to get there? Unlike Ben, we'll get killed just by going through the atmosphere…" Yukiko asked.
Naoto took out the Plumber badges that Max had given her. "We'll use these. I saw that Max-san and your cousins were wearing them while in the ship, meaning that these should allow us to travel in space with Benjamin." Naoto handed one to Yukiko. The two teens felt the liquid-like suits form over their bodies. Yukiko looked over at Naoto and saw that the suit had taken her hat into account, making it look as if she had a big lump on her head.
"Pfft! Snrk!" Yukiko covers her mouth.
"What?" Naoto didn't know what her friend was laughing at.
THUD!
The girls turned around to see Viktor had indeed woken back up, and was being charged up by the extra ship parts. "I didn't expect him to wake up so fast!" Naoto grimaced. She and Yukiko prepared to fight him off until two green and black tendrils grabbed them.
"There's no time!" Upgrade tossed them into his cockpit and took off into the sky. However, Viktor managed to grab on just in time before the take off. "Oh, come on!? Why can't you just stay down already!?" Viktor slammed his voltage infused fists onto the Upgrade ship in hopes of destroying it. To his misfortune, Upgrade opened up his cockpit briefly, so that the girls could blast Viktor simultaneously with him.
Back on the space station, the Tennysons were climbing up another ladder. "There should be a manual access panel around here somewhere." Max said.
"Y'know, for a guy who didn't go up into space, you seem to know an awful lot about it." Gwen said.
"I never said I didn't go into space. I said I never went into space with NASA." Max clarified before noticing the access panel.
Inside the space station, the mummy inserted the Corrodium into the ray, then moved to the computer to aim it at the transmitter in New Mexico. However, before it could activate the projection, he was kicked away by Max. "I don't think so!" The mummy punched him into the wall, but was then cut in the back. It turned around to see Kenny, still holding the plumber knife.
"There's more where that came from!" Kenny yelled. The mummy was going to attack him next, but Gwen landed a kick in its face, keeping it away from her brother.
"Bandages off, creep!"
Approaching the station was the Upgrade ship and Viktor, the Frankenstein's monster battling the girls' Personas and Upgrade at the same time. The Mechamorph punched Viktor in the face, Yamato-Takeru slashed at him, and then Sumeo-Okami blasted him with an Agi.
Upgrade turned and saw that they were close to the station, so he grabbed the girls from his makeshift cockpit and disconnected from the ship. "Welp, this is our stop!" Viktor was so confused by the suddenness of it that he didn't think to grab them.
"Thank you for flying Air Upgrade. Buh-bye!"
"Oh, are there snacks on this flight?" Yukiko asked.
"Is this really the question you ask as we're floating in space?" Naoto sighed. Upgrade found the airlock, unlocking it and shoving the girls and himself through it.
Viktor was left to float through the endless abyss of space… or was he?
The mummy approached Kenny and Gwen, prepared to end their lives without mercy, not noticing the green and black Mechamorph slithering around behind it. His cousins did notice and were surprised to see him. "Ben?"
"Who else!?" Upgrade replied, joyfully before he blasted the mummy with a beam. "Quick, open the airlock!" Max opened it up just as Upgrade asked them to.
"Wait, where are…?" Gwen's question was answered when the mummy was blasted into the airlock by a ball of flame.
"Close it!" Yukiko and Naoto came around from behind the corner. Max quickly shut the airlock, trapping the mummy inside.
"And when you need him the most, a real hero shows up!" Upgrade declared as the watch turned him back to normal. Ben floated upside down in zero gravity, and was the only one without a Plumber suit. "Oh man… I'm gonna hurl…" Yukiko quickly floated over to him, holding Ben in an attempt to help sooth him.
"Is there stomach medicine on a space station, Grandpa?" Yukiko asked.
Gwen rolled her eyes. "Yeah, you look real heroic right now."
"Hey! I just saved your butts!" Ben exclaimed.
"Do you know what your problem is?" Gwen asked him.
"You?"
"That you're threatened that we can handle ourselves without you!"
Ben scoffed. "It's not that I don't think you guys can't handle it, but that you don't need to handle it! Just leave everything to the real hero!"
"Ben…" Yukiko began, but her grandfather cut her off.
"Wait! Something isn't right!" Max yelled, noticing that the station's ray had been reactivated.
TARGET RE-ACQUIRED!
The system's controls were moving entirely on their own, at least until the perpetrator revealed himself to be Zs'Skayr manipulating the controls the entire time. "Ghostfreak!? But how!?" Ben asked.
"You aren't the only one who can hitch a ride on a spaceship!" Zs'Skayr revealed as the system was counting down until it fired.
"I've stopped you before and I can stop you again!" Ben declared.
"Too late, hero!" Zs'skayr yelled, happily. The ray fired the purple beam towards the transmitter on Earth. "Darkness falls! Earth is now my domain!"
Naoto smirked, noticing something that Zs'Skayr had overlooked. "Are you sure about that?" Her question had taken everyone by surprise, especially Zs'skayr.
"What are you talking about!?"
"Perhaps you should take another look at that monitor."
Zs'Skayr turned back to the monitor and his one eye widened in shock. What he had expected to see was his new world of darkness, but instead nothing about the Earth had changed. There was no screen of darkness created by the Corrodium, and the sun was still shining its powerful rays down on the planet. "How!? How did this happen!?"
Yukiko was surprised as well until she remembered a very important detail that Zs'Skayr and his cronies were completely unaware of. "Yu-kun." A soft smile took over her lips.
The werewolf was putting the finishing touches on the transmitter to ensure that the device would work properly once the projection began. It looked up to the skies and saw the purple beam approaching quickly and took a few steps back. Looks like its master's plan was about to come into fruition after all-
"ZIODYNE!"
TSST!
BOOM!
The werewolf was knocked back by the explosion of the transmitter. The creature stared at the wreckage of the transmitter it had worked so hard to put together for its master's plan. Its surprise turned to anger, turning to look at who dared to sully all of their hard work.
[Persona 4 OST - Reach Out To The Truth]
Yu Narukami stood across from the werewolf, his shirt unbuttoned, showing off his well toned muscles built up from hours of dungeon crawling. His sword shimmered in the sunlight as it was pointed directly at the werewolf. Izanagi floated above its user with its own sword directed at the beast. "Looks like we made it just in time." Behind him was Rise, with her Persona still activated, and Kenji.
"A little too close if you ask me, Senpai. That was almost the end of the world there…" Rise said, a little bit nervous.
"But the crisis is averted. All that's left is to clean up the loose ends." Kenji said.
"That's right." Yu said as the werewolf howled furiously into the sky before rushing at the three who had ruined everything. "Let's show them the power of our bonds! Yukiko! Ben!"
A blue light glowed brightly on the chests of Ben and Yukiko for a brief moment, though the two were unaware of it happening. The Tennysons were energized after remembering that they had a separate team in New Mexico who had successfully stopped the werewolf. Ben confidently pointed his fist at Zs'Skayr. "Looks like your new domain was nothing more than a pipe dream, Ghostbreath!"
Zs'Skayr held a look of malicious fury, infuriated that his plans had been ruined once again by these meddlesome Tennyson and their pals. "Then I'll just have to settle for ending your lives before restarting my plans! You fools have only delayed the inevitable!" He vanished after his declaration, putting the entire group on high alert.
BEEP!
The group turned around to see several bandages advancing towards them, entrapping them all in a tight grip. Zs'Skayr had freed the mummy, and now the group was helpless at their mercy. "Now, how should I dispose of you all?"
Gwen smirked, she decided to put her acting skills to the test. "Oh, please! Whatever you do don't toss us out into space!" And just like the fool she assumed the Ectonurite to be, he fell for it hook, line, and sinker.
"Excellent idea! Remove their suits!" The ghostly alien ordered. The mummy removed the suits of four of them, because the two of them didn't catch on to what it was that Gwen had planned.
"Maragi!" Yukiko called forth her fire, burning the appendages before her suit could get removed. The fireballs spread out to the rest of the group, releasing them from their bindings as well. The mummy reeled back, hissing in pain from the fire, while Zs'Skayr backed away to avoid getting burned. The heiress rounded on her little cousin, putting her hands on her hips. "Gwen, that was reckless!"
"Seriously, you might as well just hand over my watch too!" Ben added.
The young girl glared at them both. "You two are more alike than you think! I had a plan!"
"Is this really the time for this!?" Kenny broke up their argument.
"Yes, our focus should be on not getting killed in space!" Naoto exclaimed.
"Unfortunate for you, child! Because, there is nothing you can do to defeat me!" Zs'Skayr reminded them.
Ben scoffed, activating the Omnitrix and selecting Eye-Guy. "Sucks to be you then, creep. I got your weakness right here!"
FLASH!
Instead of Eye-Guy, Ben had transformed into another new form. He has dark grayish yellow skin, his hair in a mullet hairstyle with brown at the end, and stick-like lines on his arms. His gloves were brown, his pants were black, and the bolts were black. He had three bolts on his chest in addition to the ones on his neck and white lines on his waist that connected to the Omnitrix symbol like a belt clasp. "Woah? Electromagnetic body? Sweet!" For once, he wasn't upset about getting the wrong alien.
"You're like some kind of… Ben-Viktor!" Yukiko exclaimed.
Zs'Skayr descended with his scythe, prompting Ben to block with his metal gloves. A current of green volts sizzled in his right hand before shocking the Ectonurite away. Ben stared down at his hands before smirking. "No… more like a Frankenstrike!"
"Even with the transmitter down on Earth, we need to get rid of this Corrodium!" Max tried to access the controls. "But I can't with the controls locked in place!"
"Don't worry, a little lightning should do the trick." Frankenstrike powered up to blast the controls, but Zs'Skayr grabbed him before he could fire. "Okay! It's go time!" Frankenstrike fought against the ghost's hold.
"BEN!" Yukiko grabbed onto Frankenstrike before Zs'Skayr dragged them through the floor and into the cold reaches of space.
"YUKIKO! BEN!"
[Sonic Adventure 2 OST - Supporting me …for Biolizard]
Thanks to the Plumber suit's electromagnetic properties, Yukiko's feet stuck onto the metal just like Frankenstrike. The two heroes faced off against Zs'Skayr, who was cackling with anticipation. "Here in the cold darkness of space, I am at my full potential!" Several tentacles burst from his body, signifying his true powers. Frakenstrike was sent flying into one of the station's pillars, while Yukiko blocked the descent of the scythe with her Persona. "It's only a matter of time before the watch runs out and the boy suffocates in the void of space! I'm going to enjoy tearing that suit from your body and watching you slowly perish!"
"In… your… dreams!" Yukiko gritted her teeth as she was pushed back by the ghost. Suddenly, a green bolt of lightning blasted Zs'Skayr away from Yukiko. The ghost was sent flying into a large purple tank of energy.
"Is that the Corrodium?" Yukiko wondered.
"If so, then all we need to do is blow it open!" Frankenstrike punched his palm.
"You wish, boy!" Zs'Skayr's stomach opened up, releasing a purple beam of energy at two in hopes of blowing them away.
"HAH!" Frankenstrike responded with his own lightning.
"Agidyne!" Yukiko bellowed. Their attacks collided, shaking the station like an earthquake.
Below them, the spaceship disconnected from the station. Inside of it was Max, who planned to use it to destroy the projector and the Corrodium. "Oh yeah, I've still got the right stuff…what the-?" A loud beeping from the sensors alerted him of an oncoming projectile. A closer inspection revealed it to be Dr. Viktor, who had melded with the rocket to push himself back to the space station. The Transylvanian monster collided with the spaceship. "Bet Neil Armstrong never had to deal with this!"
Back inside the station, the kids were dealing with the mummy. Kenny was doing his best with his Plumber knife, but it wasn't going to be enough. "If you two have a plan, then I'm all ears!"
Gwen was flipping through pages in her book. "Yeah, yeah, give me a minute!"
Naoto shot a rubber bullet, but the object wasn't going to go as far in space. Luckily the bullet wasn't what she wanted to use. "Tempest Slash!" The mummy felt its appendages being sliced apart and hissed. It was getting sick and tired of getting its body parts ruined by these kids. The undead alien whipped its bandages at them, smacking Kenny into the wall.
Naoto ducked under the attack, but was grabbed by another set of bandages. They brought her in close and slapped her in the chest. "Gah!" She winced in pain before being tossed into the wall.
The mummy extended its fists at Gwen in hopes of crushing her, but the young girl dodged the attack. Her athletic abilities came in clutch, allowing her to land a kick in the mummy's jaw. Gwen propelled herself back to avoid getting grabbed and allowed her hands to glow with mana. "This time I can kick your butt, mummy-boy! Emocha Objectia!" The blue mana blasted the mummy to the other side of the hall.
Naoto clicked her gun, blasting her tarot card. "Here's the finisher! Vorpal Blade!" Just like with Viktor, the mummy was assaulted on all sides. Its body was being torn to pieces and there was nothing it could do. The light in the mummy's eyes died as it was turned into scrap paper. Gwen used her magic to ball its remains up before blasting it to ashes.
Yu dodged several swipes from the werewolf, swinging his sword in a diagonal slash across its chest. The beast howled in pain before retaliating with another swipe of the claws, which narrowly missed the boy's chest. Yu crushed his tarot card, Izanagi bringing down its sword onto the werewolf. "Izanagi! Cleave!" The Persona's sword clashed against the claws of the beast. The creature opened its mouth and released a sonic blast that sent the Persona flying back along with Yu.
"Senpai, we need to destabilize its senses!" Rise informed him.
"Got it! Persona! Undine!" Izanagi was replaced by a clear blue woman with bright orange hair. "Bufula!" Icy wind was blasted at the werewolf, confusing it as the air went from burning heat to winter cold. It felt its nose clog up as the cold invaded its senses. "Persona! Ghoul!" Undine was replaced by a disturbing looking malnourished creature. "Posima!" The Persona's claws sunk into the werewolf's skin, causing it to howl in pain. It could feel its body growing weaker as if a poisonous substance had entered its body.
"Now, Senpai, while it's weakened!"
"Here we go, Izanagi!" Yu changed back to his original Persona. "Raijinzan!" Izanagi's blade exploded with electricity, flying towards the werewolf like a bullet. The werewolf wouldn't go down without a fight and unleashed one more sonic blast at the oncoming threat. An explosion erupted from the clash, covering the area in a cloud of smoke.
The werewolf assumed that it had succeeded in vanquishing its foes, but that was before it heard the faint sound of crackling lightning. The last thing that wolf's eyes gazed upon was the sight of Yu's sword glittering with ultimate power as it sliced through its neck. The wolf's body fell to the ground lifelessly as its head rolled across the dirt.
"Ew." Rise gagged at the sight. "Usually Shadows disappear after we kill them."
"Yeah, but this wasn't a Shadow, though if I didn't know it was an alien, I would've taken it as one." Yu said.
"I'll clean up this mess." Kenji took some equipment out of his bag. "Our part is finished, which means everything else is left to the Tennysons and my granddaughter."
Yu smiled, looking up at the sky. "They'll handle it. I know they can."
Frankenstrike dodged another attack from Zs'Skayr, punching at the ghost, who used his intangibility to avoid it. The ghost's scythe slashed at him, knocking the hero back a few feet, his electromagnetic feet keeping him attached to the station.
Zs'Skayr would've pressed further if Yukiko hadn't blasted him from behind, turning his attention to her. A purple beam descended onto her, forcing her to jump out of the way. She looked up to see a silver scythe inches from her face.
Thankfully, Frankenstrike shocked the Ectonurite before he could land the attack. Yukiko capitalized on this opportunity and launched an attack. "Agilao!" The flames burned the Ectonurite's skin, loud hisses and curses leaving his mouth.
Max struggled as Viktor continued to press him. "I don't know what you're doing, but I don't like the looks of it!" Max reversed the ship, spinning them around and cutting the engine. He allowed Viktor to push them into the transmitter, destroying it completely.
"NOOOO!"
"Looks like your plans have been canceled, permanently!" Yukiko exclaimed.
"You fools will pay dearly for that!" Zs'Skayr's anger had reached its boiling point. All of his considerate planning had been ruined completely. There would be no going back even if he managed to kill all the Tennysons present.
"Sucks to be you!" Frankenstrike jumped at the Ectonurite, but he vanished into the ship before his attack could hit. The Transylvanian hero was then blasted by a purple lightning bolt; Yukiko turned to see that Viktor had rejoined them. The Frankenstien's monster fell to his knees, and shot a beam that flew between them. It turns out that he had opened a portal to the Null Void, which began sucking everyone and everything into it. Yukiko held onto Frankenstrike as her cousin was doing his best to keep them from getting pulled in.
Viktor flew towards the portal, but his back hit a pole, keeping him steady on the station. Zs'Skayr appeared next to his minion. "Time for you both to descend into oblivion!" He charged up a beam and his minion did the same with his voltage.
"Ben! We need to hit them together!" Yukiko screamed.
"I can take them both! You just hold on!" He argued.
"This is no time for an argument, Ben! We're family, so no matter what the danger is, we work as a team!" She yelled.
"Let's show them the power of our bonds! Yukiko! Ben!"
Frankenstrike's eyes widened as those words echoed in his head, he didn't know how he could hear Yu's voice, but he could just feel it. Suddenly a bright light began to shine brilliantly from both Yukiko and Frankenstrike. "Right, Yukiko, let's beat these losers!"
"Together!"
Zs'Skayr and Viktor unleashed their combined attacks to obliterate the Tennysons, but to their shock, the two were standing perfectly fine on the station as if the Null Void portal wasn't even there. Their eyes were shining a powerful blue color, red and green energy shared between them both.
"AGI-STRIKE!"
Fire and lightning fused into one, barreling through the attack of the evil duo. Viktor's eyes were as wide as dinner plates as the attack hit him dead on. Lightning and fire burned and shocked him beyond imagination; nothing the monster had ever felt before remotely compared to this feeling. The explosion sent him flying into the tank of Corrodium, blowing it to pieces, and blasting him into the Null Void portal. It closed for good, trapping Viktor to his fate.
Frankenstrike sighed in relief that the battle was done. "Sayonara, freaks." He turned to Yukiko and saw that the heiress wasn't moving. "Yukiko? Yukiko!" He grabbed her, holding the heiress bridal style. Suddenly, the space station began to explode after all of the damage it had taken.
"BEN!" Frankenstrike looked over to see the spaceship floating pretty closely to them. "GET IN!" Max opened up the hatch of the ship. Frankenstrike didn't have time to argue and jumped in with Yukiko in tow. Once he was inside the Omnitrix timed out, turning him back to normal. Ben removed her plumber suit and carried Yukiko up to the cockpit, the zero gravity making it easier.
"Grandpa! What about-"
BOOM!
The two watched as the space station exploded to pieces. Nothing but space dust left in its wake. Ben and Max stared in horror, only hoping that the others had managed to find some way off of the station in time. "Are they…?" Ben wondered.
Max didn't know how to answer, that was until he noticed something floating and moving weirdly in the middle of all the debris. "Wait, what is that?" Max flew closer to it and upon closer inspection it turned out to be a Plumber suit with three people squished inside of it.
"Watch your hands…!" Naoto hissed at Kenny.
"N-not my fault, not enough space!" He argued.
"At least I'm not stuck with Ben…" Gwen groaned.
The three noticed a large shadow looming over them, which was the spaceship. It lowered enough to suck them into the airlock, allowing the three to safely undo the suit. Ben opened the hatch for them, grinning at the three. "You guys have fun?" Gwen threw her shoe at his face.
"Mission Accomplished!" Max announced as he flew the ship back down to Earth. The group was all wearing extra Plumber suits that the ship had in its storage. Since there weren't enough seats, Gwen and Ben had to share with Kenny and Yukiko. Gwen sat on Kenny's lap and Ben on Yukiko's, who was happily squishing the air out of the boy. "I guess saving the Earth beats a moonwalk."
Naoto allowed the reality of the situation to really sit in for her. "I mean… we saved all of Inaba but to save the entire world? I'm not too sure how to feel…"
"Be proud of it." Gwen said. "Not the first time we've done it."
"It's my first time, of course. I think we're allowed a little bit of pride." Kenny said to Naoto.
"Right. This was a team effort and I'll have to relay all of this back to Grandfather, of course." Naoto said.
"Yukiko, can you lighten up!?"
"Nope." Yukiko was beyond ecstatic, increasing the strength of her hug. "We got to pull off a team move! Best day ever!" Yukiko giggled.
"What!? You guys did a team attack!?" Gwen cried, upset. "That's just supposed to be our thing!"
Ben stuck out his tongue. "Guess, you're just not good enough! Maybe, next time I'll give you the honor of doing one with me!"
"I'd rather die!"
"That can be arranged!" A horrifying chill went down everyone's spines as Zs'Skayr grabbed Ben's wrist with the Omnitrix. Yukiko tried to reach for her fan, but a tentacle smacked her aside. Ben was taken by the Ectonurite into the lower levels of the ship. "You may have stopped my new domain, but once I gain control of the Omnitrix, Earth's defenses will be powerless against me!"
Gwen and the others arrived at the lower levels to help Ben. Kenny took a broken piece of metal and smacked it against the Ectonurite's head, gaining his attention. Naoto and Yukiko simultaneously blasted him, forcing the ghost to release his hold on Ben. "Meddlesome fools! I'll kill you all!"
"Keep dreaming, Casper!" Gwen pulled the lever of the airlock, opening it up. "Grandpa, now!" Max turned the ship around, allowing the sun's light to burn Zs'Skayr to a crisp. "NOOOOOO!" In a flash of light, the Ectonurite was nothing more than a pile of floating ashes.
"So… still think you're all that on your own?" Gwen asked Ben.
RUMBLE!
"AAAHHH!" The zero gravity gave way, causing the kids to fall to the floor. The ship rapidly descended towards the Earth with no way of stopping.
"We took on too much damage when I rammed the transmitter! The ship's breaking up!" Max informed them as he joined the kids in the airlock. Ben saw that the Omnitrix was green and dialed up Cannonbolt.
"EVERYONE, GROUP UP!" Ben's call was followed, since nobody was in a hurry to die.
FLASH!
Cannonbolt barreled towards the Earth like a meteor and crashed into the middle of the desert. Thankfully the armor was strong enough to tank the fall and heat, protecting everyone inside. "Ouch…" Though, Cannonbolt still felt all of it.
"That did not smell good." Naoto complained.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
FLASH!
Ben looked up at Gwen, noticing the hurt scowl on her face as she turned from him. Yukiko nudged him, urging him to apologize to her. He sighed, knowing that he was in the wrong here. "Fine. Gwen, I'm sorry for being a jerk."
Everyone glared at him this time.
"Fine!" Ben huffed. "I'm sorry for insulting you by trying to do everything on my own. It wasn't right to treat you guys unfairly or be a jerk, just because of my own fears. We're family, which means we're a team. We all work together, no matter what." Ben stuck out his hand.
Gwen stared at it for a moment before sighing and putting her hand on top of his. Yukiko and Max added theirs to the pile. "Team."
Naoto looked at Kenny. "You're not gonna add yours?"
"Nah. I think this means a lot to the four of them. Starting to feel like the stress of saving the world just isn't for me, y'know?" Kenny said.
"Understandable. Though, you did a good job for someone with no super abilities. I think that deserves an applause of its own." Naoto said.
"Thanks."
Ben saw the Omnitrix turn green. "Oh yeah! And this is the last we've seen of Ghostfreak-"
BEEP!
Everyone saw Ghostfreak's icon appear back in the watch's roster. "Ghostfreak!? Oh man…"
"Never use it again." Yukiko ordered.
"Yes, ma'am!"
Kenny climbed out of the hole, noticing that they were in the middle of the desert. "Uh… guys? Where exactly did we land?"
Naoto took off her suit, whipping out her phone. "I'll call Grandfather…"
A Few Days Later:
"Are you sure you don't want to continue coming with us?" Yukiko asked Kenny. The Tennysons, plus Yukiko's friends, stood in an airport. After getting picked up from the desert and brought back to Cape Canaveral, everyone was ready to go their separate ways again.
"Yeah, I started to realize that I'm kinda out of my depth with you guys. Not that saving the day wasn't fun, but it's not entirely for me." Kenny explained.
"Yeah, probably for the best-"
SMACK!
"OW!" Ben held his head, glaring at Yukiko.
"So, you're going back home?" Gwen asked, expecting that answer.
"N-not exactly…" Kenny chuckled, blushing a bit. Rise then came marching by with several bags of carry on luggage.
"Here, Kenny. You can carry some of this, right?" Rise asked.
"Yeah, that shouldn't be an issue."
"Uh…" Yukiko and Gwen stared at them with confusion. "W-what's going on?"
"Oh, Kenny agreed to help me prepare for the Bonds Festival. So, he'll be coming along with me, while you guys carry on." Rise explained.
"We're heading there anyway, but I guess you just want to spend more time with her." Gwen sighed.
"T-that's not it!" Kenny's blush was even brighter.
"Please, don't work him to death, Rise-chan." Yukiko demanded.
"I won't… much." Rise smiled slyly. She then turned to the rest of the Tennysons. "It's been nice seeing you all again and saving the world too. Keep up the good work, okay?"
Ben gave her a thumbs up. "Of course! Those bad guys will never see it coming!"
"Stay safe and see you both soon, okay?" Max said.
"The same to you, Grandpa." Kenny hugged his grandfather, then ruffled Gwen's hair. "Keep Ben out of trouble, squirt."
"Don't touch my hair! I would've done that anyway." Gwen huffed. "Just make sure not to humiliate yourself."
"Yeah, don't lose your pants like you did at our last birthday party!" Ben added.
"Shut up about that!" Kenny yelled, causing everyone to laugh. With their goodbyes said and Yukiko keeping Rise from getting too touchy with Yu, the idol and brother left to board their plane.
Yukiko turned to Yu and Naoto, who were leaving together. "What are you guys gonna do in the meantime?"
"There have been some reports of 'Bigfoot' sightings near the northern states. Grandfather figured hunting that down would be a good way to pass the time." Naoto said.
"I already spoke to my parents and they don't mind me running around with my friends for a bit. It gives them more time to themselves." Yu added.
"You guys are hunting Bigfoot!? No fair!" Ben complained.
"Don't complain, doofus. You act as if we won't encounter something even better." Gwen told him.
"Ah… true. Guess, it's a competition now." Ben challenged.
"Sure, Ben. Just don't be upset when you lose." Yu accepted the challenge.
"As if! A hero never loses!"
Yukiko shook her head at the two, smiling softly as she turned to the window. The sun was still shining brightly over the Earth as it always should. "Everything is looking as it should. I hope that we can all keep on smiling."
Far up north in the Arctic, a space pod was opened up by a couple of men. They were shocked to see a strange looking woman with mint green skin, with two tentacles on her head. Her three pink eyes opened up, glowing and terrifying the men who had found her.
Chapter End
NOTE: I hope you all enjoyed! Technically, you could look at this like it's the finale of S3 considering this chapter concludes the whole monster alien plotline. But yes, the next chapter IS still a part of S3. It just leads into my original arc that follows S3.
1. If you're concerned about the monster deaths in this chapter... Ben killed a lot of his bad guys (Not human) in the original. Naoto and Yu were the ones who did the did the deeds in the end anyway. Gwen just ensured that regeneration wasn't a possible factor.
2. Yeah, Kenny's gone. He'll be back for the spin off, but that'll be it for him until the end of the story. Just a reminder that he's not a main character. The purpose of this story is Yukiko's journey and growth with Ben, Gwen, and Max. Which S4/Secrets of the Omnitrix will really touch into. She just needed an established relationship with Kenny.
3. I might write a side chapter about Yu and Naoto searching for "Bigfoot". Who knows who or what they'll find during that.
4. Yukiko and Ben finally got to do a team attack. Will she do the same with the rest of Ben's aliens? No. But she will with some of them.
5. None of the Tennysons called Zs'Skayr by his proper named, because they don't care. He's an evil bastard trying to kill them and take over the earth.
Next Chapter - The Visitor
