Rex was familiar with the concept of Life Day, both the Batuuan and the Wookiee versions. He was not familiar with the concept of Christmas. And that bothered him.

Apparently, both Life Day and Christmas were about peace, togetherness, and unity and decorating and eating feasts and singing songs. In that way, they were similar.

But Rex could not understand the happy obese old man who squeezed down chimneys and gave presents to billions of children, travelling all around the world in just a day and a night. Nor could he understand how the old man was considered a folk hero despite having hundreds of the elf slaves making presents, and how arbitrary the naughty or nice lists he kept seemed to be. How long were the lists? How did he know the kids he was giving the presents to were the correct kids - surely out of billions, many shared the same names?

It was all too confusing for him.

Yet he found himself hanging a stocking from the bar of Oga's Cantina. For Santa. For some new deejay equipment.

If it worked and he got a gift, Santa would be something new to add to his Life Day traditions.

Happy Christmas Eve!
