The Harolds had been through it before, and they would go through it again - the end of the year and beginning of a new one.

It was also the busiest day of the Disneyland year.

They Harolds wouldn't be busier than usual, they still had to scare the Guests no matter how many people were riding in the bobsled coaster.

It's just that with the Park open until 1am, there would just be no room for celebrating for anyone.

Another year would pass by. Unmarked. But celebrated, nonetheless.

And despite the fact that they would be working, the Harolds couldn't wait to see those New Year's fireworks going off in the sky. And all the disappointments and heartbreaks of 2022 would be blown away by the hope and promise of 2023.

It was going to be a happy new year. Even though they would still be stuck roaring at Guests.

It's almost New Years! I've always preferred New Year's Eve to Christmas Day anyway. I don't like to go out drinking or anything - I'm a teetotaller for the most part. But there's just something about the New Year, where you get to forget the sins of the past year, you forget the heartbreak and you make a fresh start. Like waking up the day after you've just had your worst day ever. But on a global scale. And everyone is happy and united, ready to Celebrate the Future Hand In Hand (that is a song from EPCOT's Millennium Celebration - look it up if you dare). It's the closest we'll ever get to world peace.
That and it's fun to watch Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen get drunk live on CNN.
