"There will be no foolishness for the next hour. You are Slytherins, and I expect your full attention." Snape drawled as he paced. "Most of you already know how to do this, but some of you," he stared at a couple half-blooded students, "may not know how."
With a flick of his wrist, music bagan playing in the room.
"Now, Draco, do you have a partner for the ball?"
"Yes Professor. I'm taking Pansy." The blonde said, sounding bored.
"Good. Both of you, to the front."
The pair moved to the front of the room, and stood in front of their Professor.
"Now, both of you know all the traditional dances, correct?" He got a nod from each in return. "You are to teach any of the others who do not know how. Begin."
Snape stepped off to the side of the room to watch his students. He would never admit it, but he didnt know all of the dances, hence why whenever there was a dance or ball, he made students teach the others. But there was one dance he was suburb at.
As he stood there, watching the fools fall all over the place, he was reminded of a simpler time. A time when life was good…

"Severus! What are you doing?!" Lily said with a laugh. "Mum told us to practice dancing! You know there's to be a dance this year!"
"Yeah, but I'll just make a fool out of myself. Can't we just go to the park and say we practiced?" Severus grumbled.
"No, silly. Come here."
Severus walked over to her. She placed one of his hands on her waist, placed her hand on his shoulder, and grabbed his other hand.
"Alright, usually, since you're the guy, you would lead. But for the purpose of me teaching you, I'm gonna lead. So, follow me." As she finished, Lily started moving in a standard box step. Severus tried to control the blush burning across his cheeks, but couldn't stop the heat from spreading.
"You're doing perfectly, Sev!" Lily smiled. "Now lets try with you leading, and without looking at your feet, yeah?"
He looked up, and got lost in her eyes. Suddenly, he felt as if he could do anything because she believed in him..
