Another Monday evening brought another Thai food night, this time at the Hofstadter's new house. The group was gathered around the coffee table while their children played in the next room. "Bernie, you want to come on Saturday?" Penny asked, helping spread the food across the table.

"Can't. Howie has a NASA thing and is going to Houston for the weekend. My parents offered to take the kids. I don't plan on doing anything except sit on the couch, eat junk food, drink wine, and watch bad movies once my dad picks them up Saturday morning," she explained, declining her friend's invitation.

Grinning, Penny attempted to get the other woman to change her plans, "Or, you can come to the Angels game with me and we can go back to your place for wine and movies after."

"Yeah, that's not gonna happen," Bernadette shook her head while noticing the food was ready for everyone to dig in. "Halley, Michael, Levi, Theo! Food's ready!"

The conversation died down as the friends prepared plates for their children, but resumed after they began eating with Penny asking, "You wanna come, Ames? I know sports aren't really your thing, but it could be fun. When was the last time we did anything, just the two of us?"

"I am six months pregnant," Amy reminded her friend. "The last thing I want to do is spend a Saturday afternoon sitting in an uncomfortable metal chair in the blazing sun. I'm sure you can find someone who wants to go or to whom you can give the tickets. Why isn't Leonard going with you? Sheldon and I can watch Maya."

Penny rolled her eyes. "It's a baseball game. Leonard's only been to one baseball game since I've known him and that was that time Howard was supposed to throw the first pitch."

"She's right," Leonard mumbled around a mouth full of food. "I said I'll stay home with Maya and she can take someone else."

"Wait," Levi said, watching Sheldon open the back door of Amy's car for him to get in. "I forgot something."

Sheldon stared at the young boy, "What did you forget? You didn't bring anything with you."

"I hafta ask Penny something. I'll be right back," he turned and was running back to the house before Sheldon could say anything further. "Penny," Levi shouted upon opening the front door.

"What's wrong?" Levi blushed at the blonde, suddenly shy to ask Penny what he'd been so excited to ask, prompting Penny to kneel in front of him. Resting her hand on his shoulder, she reminded him, "Hey, it's me you're talking to. Is everything okay?"

"Can I," he stumbled over his words. "Can I go to the baseball game with you?"

Letting out a chuckle, Penny pulled Levi into a hug. "Sure, as long as it's okay with Sheldon and Amy. I will talk to them tomorrow. And if you aren't able to go on Saturday, I promise we will find another game we can go to together."

Penny arrived the following Saturday morning for Levi to accompany her to the Angels game. This was her first time taking one of the boys to do something without Sheldon or Amy joining them and the couple was a bit nervous. "Please don't get drunk at the game, Penny. I remember how many beers you had that time we went to a baseball game together."

"You can relax, Sheldon," she gently placed a hand on the man's shoulder to reassure him. "I will only have one beer today and I'll finish it by the third inning, so it will be out of my system by the time the game is over and I have to drive home." Levi ran down the stairs, slamming into Penny with a hug. "Hey, buddy. You ready for today?"

"Yeah. Mom said we can't leave till she gets down here. Theo dumped his cereal and got covered in milk," the boy shared, looking up at Penny as she rubbed the back of his neck.

"Levi," Amy said, approaching the group from halfway down the stairs, "Your lunchbox is in the kitchen with plenty of snacks for today. I put some cash in there in case he wants a hot dog or something."

Opening the lunchbox Levi had retrieved at Amy's direction, Penny took the bills from inside and passed them back to the other woman. "Today is on me. And we can't take anything in with us, but we'll take this in case he wants a snack in the car."

"Oh, okay. There's sunscreen in there, too. Can you please put some on him before you go in? Are you at least able to take that in?"

Taking a step towards her best friend, Penny hugged her, whispering in her ear, "Yes. And I'll take a ton of pictures for you. Enjoy the day with Theo. It might be a long time after the twins are born that you get an entire day of only having one kid at home."

"Mom! Dad! Theo!" Levi shouted, returning home several hours later, with an exhausted-looking Penny trailing a few feet behind.

Theo was the first to welcome his brother, "Hi! Come play."

Watching the boys scurry off, Penny couldn't help but feel jealousy towards the children's boundless energy. "I haven't been this tired in a very long time," she said, finding Amy and Sheldon in the kitchen while dropping Levi's lunchbox on the counter along with an armful of souvenirs.

"What's all this?" Sheldon's eyes widened at the assortment of items Levi did not have when he left that morning.

"He saw everyone in Angels' t-shirts and hats when we got there and asked if he could get one. He got a hat and picked out a shirt for Theo. The plastic hat bowl thing is from his ice cream sundae. He also had a hot dog and we shared nachos. He had a blast. I did, too. Not gonna lie, I might have to kidnap him more often. It's fun having someone else who enjoys sports as much as I do," admitted Penny, dropping into a chair at the kitchen table. "Although, about halfway through the game, he got really quiet. I asked what was wrong, thinking he wanted to leave or wasn't feeling well, but he told me he was thinking about Missy. He asked to go to a baseball game with her, but they didn't get to before she died. I told him I know it's not the same as being able to go with her, but if he ever wants to go to another game, I'll gladly take him. I hope that's okay?"

Amy nodded at her friend, "He's never mentioned that before. Thank you for taking him today."

"Where is Theo's shirt?" Levi was followed into the kitchen by his brother.

Passing him the shirt, the blonde smiled at the boy, "Here. Thanks for going with me."

Levi turned his attention to Sheldon and Amy before giving Theo the shirt he'd chosen, "Can I play t-ball this summer? I asked mommy, but she said I had to wait until after kindergarten and I'm almost done with first grade."

"We'll see if we can find somewhere for you to play," Sheldon quickly replied. "I'm happy you had fun today. Your mom would be, too."
