Heart to Heart 76: On Matters of Love

Introduction

Spyro: You said you wanted to see me, Fiora?

Fiora: Yeah, I heard you and Cynder became an official couple before we got here. Congrats to you two by the way.

Spyro: (Giving the dragon equivalent of a blush) Yeah, it was a magical moment. But why does that justify meeting here in the middle of the night?

Fiora: Well, I was looking for advice.

Pass/Pass

Spyro: Advice in what way?

Fiora: Is Spyro even the right person to ask this from? Should I have just asked Dunban?

Spyro: Fiora, you're starting to scare me a bit. What's going on?

Fiora: I guess there's no use hiding it. I want to tell Shulk how I feel, but I have no clue how to go about it.

Spyro: No offense, Fiora. But I really don't know where to go with that.

Fiora: What?

Spyro: Well, I shouldn't say I don't know. But it's... complicated.

Fiora: Complicated how?

Spyro: Well, complicated as in I never really figured out the timing. It just... happened. All I can say is that you'll know when the time is right.

Fiora: That's... better than nothing, I guess.

Fiora: I guess there's no use hiding it. I want to tell Shulk how I feel, but I have no clue how to go about it.

Spyro: You're asking the wrong guy then.

Fiora: What do you mean?! You literally just confessed your feelings for Cynder a few days ago!

Spyro: But I also didn't plan a damn thing about it. It just... happened. I've got no advice to give about how to make it easier. All I can say it that it happens when the time is right. I can't tell you when that'll be.

Fiora: Well, that's better than having no advice. Thanks for the help, I guess.

(Net Affinity: 0)

Spyro: I'm guessing you're looking to do the same with Shulk.

Fiora: What?! How did you know?!

Spyro: No offense, Fiora, but you aren't exactly the most discreet about this sort of thing.

Fiora: (Looking back on it) I guess you're right.

Spyro: And I'm sad to say... I've really got nothing to offer. It was never really... clear how things worked out.

Fiora: Really?

Spyro: All I can say for sure is that the moment you decide to tell them just... feels right.

Fiora: That's really all you can say about it?

Spyro: It's really all I was told. And everyone who said it, they were right.

(Net Affinity: 0)

Spyro: I'm guessing you're looking to do the same with Shulk.

Fiora: What?! How did you know?!

Spyro: No offense, Fiora, but you aren't exactly the most discreet about this sort of thing.

Fiora: (Looking back on it) I guess you're right.

Spyro: Besides, it's not like there's much I could tell you.

Fiora: What do you mean?

Spyro: I really don't have any information on making it easy. It just... happened. No amount of planning, no theories or anything could explain what happened.

Fiora: So how do I know when the right moment is.

Spyro: You'll just... know. I know that sounds cliche, but it's true.

Fiora: Well, I guess that's better than nothing.

And that looks like a good spot to wrap up for today. It looks like Spyro's come full circle now, giving out the very same advice he was given all those prior times.
